My wife smelt roast, and we werent disappointed, friendly staff, felt comfortable, free icecream for puds, cant go wrong, wish we had a place like this in Bath

Stayed there for the second time last weekend. Room was spotless, food was brilliant, staff very polite and professional. The owner spends a lot off time with the guests, in my opinion a gentleman with his chat and attention. Highly recommend this hotel.

Very pleased to report that this shop has reopened after a long closure. I got a substantial and tasty cod and chips here. Last time I got a sausage and chips - they stop cooking fish when getting near closing times, and when I arrived at 18:50 sausage and chips was the only dish on offer. Be careful of restricted opening hours, particularly early closing times in the evenings. Edit - since I updated the hours last week, they have changed again and the shop now closes at 7:00pm on Fridays.

The cod and chips are delicious here. Cooked in dripping. The peas and curry are very nice too. Only complaint is the portion size. You don't get a lot of chips with your cod and it seems very expensive for what you get. Staff are friendly, loud and full of banter.

After having a few emails about the 2 courses for 16.50 we though we would pop along and try this wow what a deal you basically get 3 course for less than 20 quid unless you go for steak.cooked to perfection as always garlic mushrooms starter smothered chicken main and sticky toffee pud for afters we'll all I can say was I was stuffed by the end team fantastic as always.

We went here for food and drinks with our walking group .As always the staff were really accommodating food and drink went down well special mention to Claire and John thank you ….

Excellent food all 4 of us had a different meal all great. Great value, very busy but first class service. Will definitely be coming back.

the stake was so tuff it was difficult to cut and eat had to leave it very poor quality it was the same last time I was there won't be going again

£6.70 for a sausage sandwich and a cup of tea. Budget quality sausages budget quality tea budget quality stale bread. Over priced very poor value. It's such a shame because the location is perfect and it could be a popular place that people would return to.

My wife and I ordered the Sunday roast lunch but had it in the lounge rather than the carvery room. The only difference is that they choose for you rather than you choosing at the carvery. The only complaint that we had was that there was far too much.

IF YOU LOOK AT THE PHOTOS DONT THINK IT IS GOING TO BE LIKE THIS. Lots of homemade cakes ect there was a few cakes the latte coffee is out of a machine and not hot or nice the tea was not hot and the only piece of lemon cake my wife left half of it as it was tasteless.Really bad for £9 10p and 1 pm my wife went inside to use the toilet and said it looked more like a junkshop GIVE IT A MISS WE WILL FROM ON
