Wheatlands Farm in Redcar and Cleveland

We have had a few meals in the Wheatlands Farm this last couple of weeks , We enjoyed all our meals and the staff were very pleasant and attentive , We will be back.

I went with my family to treat my step daughter for her birthday April the 14th around 1pm the member of staff at the till had such a awful attitude rolling her eyes tuting I accidentally went through the fire escape doors to pop out for a vape and the rudeness of her was absolutely vile after 3 of us apologised, the food was microwave bland chicken tikka curry and a soft stale poppadom I didn't even dare touch the chicken my partner got a Sunday "roast" and just couldn't eat it picked at it and left the vegetables as in his words to soggy absolute waste of money I was warned and should of listened I won't be returning! The kids had fun in the play area which is the only thing we were happy about.

Brilliant place for all the family

Halloumi fries are amazing. Had a fish finger baguette, the cheese was the square plastic cheese, gross, and the lettuce was brown and old.

Went in for breakfast last week after soft play. Both amazing minus 1 sausage. Cater for allergies and asked which was nice. Very family friendly. Returned this week for Sunday dinner and was spectacular especially the Yorkshire wraps. Staff are friendly and respectful. Will be making a more frequent appearance with the family. Thank you all

Absolutely loved it, one of my favourite greeneking pubs. The staff were incredibly helpful and were very friendly and welcoming!

Brilliant best in Redcar by far

Visited 6.30pm on a Wednesday night for curry night but sold out of all currys already. Also ordered two bottles of wine as wine Wednesday but they had ran out of wine glasses...! Hard to imagine how a pub can be so incompetently run that they cannot foresee a high demand for currys on curry night or wine glasses on wine Wednesday. Bar staff apologetic and gave a refund without difficulty. Manager AWOL.

Called for breakfast, friendly staff and good service, food was good and hot would definitely recommend this place for food and service

The food is amazing! I would definitely go for a meal there if I was a tourist. If you're a tourist, I recommend going! Your kids will have fun too as there is a play area, claw machines and more! Have fun and ENJOY!

Visit with mates for breakfast, food not bad. Bottomless coffee or even 2 for 1 would make a big difference and tempt people from competitor just down the road.

Just the job , tasty food and good beer .

Had a breakfast deal bogof! The extra sausage paid for was very hard so the server Jack replaced it immediately, rest of food was very nice. Excellent service from Jack and value for money.

I had a late Mother’s Day brunch there today with both of my boys and their partners . It was lovely the atmosphere was much more relaxed for a breakfast catch up with my sons . The breakfast was delicious. Thank you so much I will be back for breakfast soon

Really great value breakfast. Service really good

We visited as a family group on a Thursday evening and had a great time here. The menu has a wide choice of dishes and there are some great value deals. We had 2 meals for £11.49 which is available Mon - Fri, and my Mum had a special seabass dish which came with a free dessert (which is an offer on a Thursday only). Different offers are available each day. The staff provide an excellent friendly, helpful and efficient service. Our food was served promptly after ordering and was good quality. The decor here is lovely too, with beams and a cosy atmosphere. My family visits regularly and will continue to do so.

Watched the FA Cup final. Was good.

Wheatlands Farm is our local had a Brilliant time, food was excellent service good with friendly staff would highly recommend a visit next time your passing.

Food is great value, it's just pub chain standard food but always served with a smile, staff are lovely and the pub is always clean and has a friendly atmosphere. I enjoy visiting here with both friends and my family (including a child).

Good grub, quick service, friendly.

Ordered various meals. Mine a Sunday lunch. Served very quickly and I really enjoyed it. Beef was lovely as was the Yorkshire pud. All came together and served with a smile.

Really good for families, there’s kids tv in each booth, there are children’s claw machines, toilets are well maintained and clean, good choice of food which is really nice too, and staff are friendly and welcoming.

I’ve tried just about every place in Redcar, saltburn, Marske, great ayton etc etc this breakfast is the best by far in terms of value for money and quality. Staff are really helpful and happy to accommodate any changes which I always have. Not greasy which is a plus for me. The butter is the best I’ve ever had :)

We have visited here several times over the years. The staff have always been very friendly, helpful and polite - especially Christine, who is always happy to help in any way possible. The food has always been decent and we've never had any complaints.

Wheatlands farm is great, the Staff,food and atmosphere are really good, Steve, Jack and all the team are very helpful,friendly and always cheerful, we go 3 time a week, highly recommend a visit.👍

Because we were with a 9 year old we had to sit in a certain area which was fair enough . But the table near us had about 5 young ladies( I use that term loosely )who were accompanied by a lot of young children who didnt sit at the table and preceded to run around the public house with no supervision. The language from the adults was not good and certainly not for our granddaughters ears. We did ask the young man who was waiting on if we could change tables which he did .He couldnt apologise enough and said he had asked them to control the children but they were not taking any notice .

It's a fair review, I think. On a good day, the food is very good. Eaten here many times tonight's food fell off a bit had fish and chips a couple of weeks back was lovely, but tonight just average. Could tell the chips weren't cooked to order they were soft, soggy, and warm. My Mrs, her fries were almost cold left them all. One of the easiest things to cook to be fair. But we will be back food normally good in comparison to weatherspoons.

We been visiting this place for over 10 years but over the last year or so not sure what's happened to the place. The food portions have got loads smaller and quality worse. The staff have become unfriendly and miserable both at the bar and waitresses. I am not sure if they have a new manager and chef over the last year or so, but it's rapidly gone downhill. Even the play area is scruffy and disorganised. It's a shame as it use to be a great family pub.

Food and drink always on point, never complain

Came here for a group Xmas Dinner that had been ordered some weeks before. On booking, we were told that we’d be asked on the day how we wanted our steaks cooked. On the day, the stakes all came out rare because that’s how they’d ‘been inputted on the system’. One of our group specifically asked for no onions on their burger, but it still came out with onions, despite there being a note on the booking. In fairness, the staff were very good and rectified all of the issues on the night, but it meant that some were waiting longer than others for food, and therefore we didn’t eat together, so that it didn’t go cold. The table was well set out for a Xmas meal, and the food was very tasty/good quality. We ordered drinks at the table via the app and service was quick. Everything was reasonably priced.

Booked a table for New Years Day 2024 simply, online. Will (DM) rang to say they don't open until 11am, which was fine. On arrival, were informed there was no breakfast menu on offer (was annoying as we were there for NYD brunch we always have), but there was an 'all day breakfast' on the main menu anyway, so all was good! Will took the orders and the food (breakfast for 6) was served 15mins later, which was great. They couldn't do 'Blue light' discounts due to the bank holiday but at just over £60 for breakfast and drinks for 6, we thought was excellent value. Will was great for customer service also, keeping us informed of food progress and product offerings. Would absolutely recommend Wheatlands Farm for food and drink.

Ate in the wacky warehouse section. Service was appalling. Young lady serving wasn't bothered, forgot part of our order and the food was dreadful.

It was our first time here. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, the soft play was quite dated but my son had a great time. However the toilets were disgusting. Dried poo on the inside of the toilet seat and it was just dirty all around. They need a good deep clean especially if children are using them. Other than that it was a pleasant visit.

Best hungry horse/ pub grub in a long time. was banging. burger was proper flame grilled. the chicken strippers were freshly cooked in batter. my daughter loved them. both kids loved the mac cheese. didn't leave a scrap. strongly recommend. I will be back with the rest of the family. 😋

Lovely food and an amazing price can not fault it at all

This spot was busy when we arrived but we were given a table as a walk in .we ordered and received blue light discount on our food,but when the food arrived it was very disappointing my food was all deep fried and my partner had a mixed grill which was swimming in grease and very over cooked .won't be visiting again any time soon.

Tonight my husband and I decided to try the Mix It Up Meals, and we were not disappointed. Hubby had a delicious 28 day matured rump steak, cooked to perfection he said!! He chose the fries and the fresh garden salad, which he said was really lovely, and was served with a vinaigrette dressing. I had the gammon, and was really surprised to be given 3 gammon steaks, 2 of which I brought home with me for Hubby's breakfast!! I had the Mexican Pasta Salad, which was spiced to perfection ( I would order this as a main course next time we come for lunch. The sweet potato fries were delicious, and a huge portion!! Needless to say, we changed our mind about ordering dessert this evening, as the Mix It Up Meals were huge, and very filling!! All the staff at Hungry Horse go the extra mile, and all are extremely friendly and courteous!! We will be visiting again very soon!! Mrs Dee Cunningham

Ordered Chicken New Yorker , too much barbacue sauce on 2 small pieces of Boiled Chicken . Really not the best meal , food has gone downhill , very much like a Weatherspoons microwave meal unfortunately . Fast service .

Me and my family visited here yesterday, the food was great but what disappointed us was 1. Cleanliness of the toilets as there was toilet paper everywhere one of the toilets was broken 2. one of the chairs was sinking, to be truthfully honest it's not good on the economy safety because infections can be transferred, table 8 and 3. The website advertises carvery when there isn't one so overall I put 3 stars as everything else was enjoyable even the food was lovely however for my steak I ordered mine to be Medium Rare and the other just Medium was provided with 2 Medium steaks and asked for no egg mine came with egg however I ordered off the app and asked for Peppercorn Sauce on the other they placed the pot on mine by accident but apart from all the issues I listed it was delicious and the presentations of the food was brilliant so overall 3 stars Kindest Regards Zach

Typical Greene King owned, under the Hungry Horse wing. Very large establishment that has a very extensive, well priced menu, and a huge choice of beers and lagers on draught. There are daily menu deals which can save you money, portions are average, or under. Does get busy at times, advisable to book, but not necessary.

Amazing welcome from Jade in the wacky warehouse, Jade is so upbeat and friendly. On previous visits the staff haven't been very welcoming, we live over 15 miles away and there is a soft play much closer to us but we will be back more...

Enjoyed the food, bar staff didn't seem interested in serving! One in particular, most were ok.

Came in for lunch with my friends and it was delicious ! Food came quickly and was great value for money.

That was the last straw. Last time was spoken to like an idiot by a member of staff but this time, got ripped off. Last week bought 2 drinks for £6 but forgot to get the second one. Turned up tonight with receipt and the young lad, who was very helpful, was told by his boss no, they can't have it. Its never been a problem before as we WERE regulars at the quiz. Also, bar maid also said she couldn't bring drinks to the table and it's obvious I've got severe disabilities so can't carry drinks and my friend has injured her leg so found it difficult. What sort of place is this? Discrimination, condescending, Ripping people off and very unhelpful. Not going back ever again. They clearly need a new manager who understands disabilities and mental health issues, (which is why i forgot the other drinks again).

Worse curry sauce because only 3 pieces of chicken , stale popadom, and lasagna nothing in the dish , usually most food over the years has been excellent but portions have halved and standards are going south again
