The Voyager in Redcar and Cleveland

Came to the Voyager with my parents for the first time since I was there with a social group called Autism Matters where the food wasn't very good but that was years ago. Anyways this evening's meal that I had was a cheese burger and skin on fries, honestly the quality was unreal and the fries were my favourite thing on my plate and the burger was a lot more nicer than it was the last time I visited the Voyager. I'm definitely going to keep coming back for a pub meal as this pub definitely delivers. 5/5

Came for the Easter egg hunt this morning, amazing value for money, the breakfast was lovely. My little girl had the best time with the crafts provided and the egg hunt outside! Chiara, Ilaria and Gill went above and beyond to make sure all guests had a lovely time! Thanks team voy!xx

Always lovely to come into the voyager, all the staff are always friendly and accommodating, owner is a absolute legend, come in regularly and always enjoy myself only lived down here for a short while and genuinely really enjoy this place. Thank you to Owner and Staff 👍

In for the football good service and atmosphere

The service was quick and the staff was fantastic. I especially want to thank Darcie, she was so helpful and attentive to our needs.

Food quality was average at best. Veg cold and beef very fatty. Garlic mushrooms overdone so very crispy Wait time was not acceptable at 1 1/4 hours. Nice playground for the children and bar staff friendly/polite.

Nice food, but the wait was far too long. The app didn't work properly and wouldn't let me check out so had to do it at the bar, only one person serving when it was busy so took nearly 15 mins so in all it was over half an hour just to order the food. Then it was nearly a 45 minute wait for the starters, with a three and four year old waiting for food that was not fun! Good food and pleasant service overall but the wait times were horrendous and it really didn't seem that busy.

My family and I came for Mother’s Day lunch, the staff were fantastic and managed to last minute move our table to make sure we were closer to the park for my younger sister. The staff were also polite and helpful, they couldn’t do enough for us and checked everything was good with the food. The food and drinks themselves were gorgeous and great value for money.

On arrival we had a pleasant greeting by a member of the bar staff, welcoming us with a big smile and asked if she could help. She then showed us to our table and explained that we could order via the QR code or just pop up to the bar. It was a warm friendly environment and everyone seemed to be having a great time. The food was delicious! All plates were empty and we were all extremely satisfied. It didn’t take long for our food to arrive and we all received our meals at the same time which is always a bonus! Meal prices are good too and we received 30% off our total bill so win win! The ladies room was also very clean and presentable, on a whole I would definitely recommend The Voyager to friends and family and will most definitely be visiting again! I’d class the voyager as my local and I really do enjoy coming to the place. It always had a wonderful atmosphere and amazing staff. A special thanks to Chiara, who without fail always has a smile on her face and welcoming chat, I enjoy seeing her at work there because I know if she’s behind that bar things are getting done! She makes a wonderful cocktail and can pull a mean pint 🍻 I enjoy our little chats we have when she gets a quiet moment. She’s swift and quick and is always doing bits and bobs around the pub. She is an asset to the team, there very lucky to have her. The chefs do a wonderful job their food is brilliant. I’ve never had an issue with my food but I’m sure if anyone did they’d be quit to amend it! It’s a truly lovely family friendly pub and everyone in there is lovely. I really enjoy catching io with friends and spending time with family in there. Thank you team voy keep up the good work ❤️

Came in tonight and was served by isabella she made me feel very welcome and kept me topped up with my favourite pint of fosters! Everyone should be more like isabella she always puts a smile on my face!

Love this place, always really busy which is a good sign. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble . Our favourite is Jessica, always happy and smiling regardless even when it’s really busy. Every meal I have had in the pub has been really nice and would definitely recommend.

Very busy in the Voyager on Sunday but nevertheless we were attended to fairly quickly. The staff are always attentive, courteous and friendly, and our food was received without delay. Excellent!

Good food, good service, friendly staff

Family had come to visit, we booked late but managed to get a table for 8. When we arrived it was on the system but not the paper copy so no table was ready however they quickly got a table ready. The pub was very busy but service was quick. Food was lovely, all served hot and good portions. The only thing that was a bit slow was collection of the dirty dishes after we had finished eating but that was all. Thankyou, we will return.

I am a frequent visitor to the Voyager. The staff are helpful and very friendly. They go out of their way to make your visit the best it can be. The food is always of a high quality and there are always good deals on the food. I like the introduction of cards in which you can collect tokens to earn a free drink. The Voyager is a warm, friendly pub and it always has a good ‘buzz’. Thank you.

Staff were professional, polite, friendly & so helpful 😊 it was super busy, their was 9 of us & me being a Celiac deems I always feel like I'm the awkward customer so thank you to all the staff, food was lovely, no salad cream is forgiven 😀 we will be back

Went with a group of people, from the moment I arrived it was amazing, ordered food and it was quick device, food was wonderful and delicious and server was polite and helpful.

Good food but sometimes they microwave the pies and they go soft.. Spoils a good pie. Stop it.

We are a walking group who call in the Voyger every Wednesday after our walk. Today we had pizza and chips . The food was very good quality and value. Excellent service from the staff. Thank you

We usually visit as a party of 4, my dad, myself and my two children, one is autistic and like quiet areas. Staff went out of there way to move us to a quieter table without any fuss. They understood our requirement and helped and we are so grateful. In addition I'm gluten intolerant & staff always help me select food I can eat, for which there is a huge variety. We now love visiting here because you make it accessible for us. Thank you to the team at the Voyager in Guisborough

The service was warm and friendly the only issues l have is that tables shouldn't be booked to early for customers tables are reserved to early other than that no other complaints fish was excellent and the waitress was lovely

Family of five all having something different. All left clean plates. If I was being ultra picky, I would say a little too much BBQ sauce on the hunters chicken

Attended the Grinch breakfast, was a lovely event for the children. We loved the special touch of Christmas cards with the gifts! The voyager is a lovely local pub with great entertainment and amazing staff! Perfect place to visit with children! Very accessible with many tables on one level! Can’t wait to visit over Christmas!

First class service from all the bar and waiting on staff. The pricing was reasonable for both drinks and food. We were in a party of 10 and whilst the pub was very busy the food arrived at the same time and hot, well done the Chefs. We’ll all be back again soonest.

Party of 3 people for the Xmas menu. Food was disappointing. The sauce for the fish was cold, but I did ask for it to be reheated. The cauliflower cheese side dish had no cheese sauce whatsoever. However the worst part of the evening was the music quiz. Had I known there was one going on that evening, I wouldn't have booked. It was so loud that we just couldn't have any kind of conversation and we were sat underneath two large speakers. We literally had to shout to each other to talk during the evening. The worst table of them all to be sat at!! I asked if the speakers could be turned down or bypassed but apparently this couldn't be done. Not a good evening!!!!

We waited for just under an hour for our meals, even though the couple who were on the next table to us came in and sat down after us and got their meals before us. They had finished their meals and left by the time we were making our second complaint.

Not keen on savoury and sweet together but that's personal preference. Food cooked fine. Just took a while to get it Sunday tea time.

This place is amazing. Staff are very friendly. I have never experienced any trouble or anything. It’s great for family, friends and celebrations. The staff cannot do enough.

'The Voy' was our local when we lived in Guisborough between 2001 & 2016. At the time of our moving, we frequented circa 3 to 4 times per week. Our children had fled the nest, and it was convenient for my wife & I to have a meal and a couple of bottles of wine. Friends & colleagues used to ask if the food was good, as we attended so frequently? My standard response was, "No, but it's cheap." Since we moved away, 'The Voy' has undergone a considerable upgrade, including new management. 'PK' has progressed from glass-collector to mein host and oversees a great pub, with decent food. This is a source of considerable frustration for my wife and I as the village we moved to doesn't have a pub! Even though our fewer visits now include a soft drink or a couple of halves, we still love the place.

We often visit the Voyager it’s a lovely pub the staff are so friendly and efficient. The meals are great especially the fish and chips! Also the chicken masala is delicious. The drinks are reasonably priced too. Can’t fault it. We will be returning soon. Keep up the good work 👍🏾

Fantastic day at Voyfest. So well organised despite huge attendance. Great service from all the team. QR codes also available at the table with full waiter service so no big queue at the bar. Friendly door staff as well avoiding any idiots spoiling things.

Attended Voyfest 2024. Will definitely attend the next live band night. Had sharing food, great portion size and choices. Even though it was extremely busy all staff were very polite and friendly. Lots of choice of drinks and outside bar to save time in the queue. Great family pub and dog friendly

Always a warm welcome from all the staff at the Voyager. Always a friendly environment whatever time of day. Caters for people who want to meet friends for drinks and families who want meals together. Great selection of drinks including the best range of 0% alcohol I’ve seen.

Food is what you would expect; average pub food, can't complain about that. On the other hand, the wait... I hope you have a spare few hours to waste. It wasn't even busy, and the food took over an hour to arrive when it should have been served within 30 minutes. This is not just a 1 off this has been the last 3 times we have been this is the last time.

I visited to attend Voyfest. Me my friends and family had an amazing day and night. The music was fantastic, the bar staff worked their socks off and always greeted us with a smile. The place was kept clean with so many people there too. Well done to the staff for such a well put together day.

A lovely place and the most friendly staff at all times, but sadly the food is often overcooked. The fish had chewy edges and veg pie pastry was tough. Other meals were excellent. Will still go there but I hope it improves.
