Bella Vista in Redcar and Cleveland

Perhaps i caught the cafe on a bad day.The fish tasted like it had been cooked hours before.I can get better at work.A a very poor meal.£9.50 for fish,chips, and mushy peas.First chippy on the front.Didn't know (I was there for the football). Redcar.Should have looked around, I suppose.

Lovely visit here today. The lady that served us was so welcoming and it was lovely chatting to her. Food was good too! x

This was the first time we've been there. We had fish and chips. Which were better than we've had for a while. It was a cold day. But the food was really hot.

Good place to eat in Redcar and very reasonably priced.

Food was atrocious dry, overcooked and chewy. Curry sauce lumpy and watery. The restaurant was dirty food and rubbish on the floor. AVOID AT ALL COST

A very warm welcome from the young lady who was working she was an absolute delight. I had fish and Chips, the batter was crisp the fish was very tasty and the chips were perfectly cooked. An added plus this is the first time I have ever been to a fish n chip shop where a food thermometer has been used to check the fish was cooked properly.

Not the best fish and chips I have had, a bit on the greasy side and the cafe isn’t the nicest. The service was good and pricing was fair though.

Goood fresh fish. Chips well cooked. Busy but that's a good sign it is. Decently priced as well.

The fish was very tasty, however £8.50 for a small bit of cod and terrible burnt chips not good at all! My child had chicken nuggets and chips and would not even touch his meal.I tried one of the nuggets which was practically inedible!

Visited today food was not too good fish had more batter on than anything was really disappointed that this place allows dogs into the premises which is a tiny seating area dogs jumping about getting dog hairs in others food absolutely discusting. All our food was binned spent £38 for a bite of terrible fish I won't be returning and advise anyone else to just walk by plenty of decent fish shops within a 2 minute walk from this dirty place

Not nice food which is a shame as we'd been before and it was lovely. Got fish n chips twice this time and sausage and chips for my son. We brought them home and both fish were so hard (batter) we could barely cut through them. Also tasted very oily too.

When they say dog friendly they mean it. We ordered a sausage for the dog and it was chopped up, cooled in the fridge and served separately (they also brought her a drink). The fish and chips (and spam fritter) we ordered were pretty good too and the portion size generous...

Just popped in for my lunch with my friends and her sister. Ordered 2 spam and chips and honestly. It was absolutely beautiful. Best spamfritter's I've had for a very long time. And for the price I paid I'm amazed with the quality. I would highly recommend this place and will be visiting again. The bloke behind the till was nice too!

My elderly parents bought oap specials while with two grandkids. Kids won't eat much so parents asked for empty plate for kids to put a few chips in. Staff refused this request and insisted that they had to buy two more meals if they wanted to sit in with kids. Place was quiet plenty of seats and this is disgraceful forcing people to pay for food that's going to not be eaten. Parents will never go here again and neither will I and certainly wouldn't recommend this place as that is extremely child unfriendly.

Have been to Pier Vista at Redcar on several occasions this year for pensioners fish and chips and almost fantastic and recommended to family and friends. Visited today and most disappointed as price increased and only half portion of fish. Not good! Showed girl on counter previous pictures of fish and chips but did not comment. Won’t be rushing to go back!

Lovely fish and chip shop close to Redcar Beacon. Had one of the best Fish and Chips I have ever had.very friendly and chatty lady behind counter. Food was brought to table served on a plate with a slice of lemon 🍋. The restaurant is Dog freindly a both our dogs enjoyed a chip or two of the generous serving. Will definitely come back.

Had our order taken and after 10 minutes of waiting, they asked what I was waiting for. Fish and chips were cold and bland. Wouldn't recommend

Accidently ordered a breakfasts onine but tried messaging them on there online website and on facebook to cancel the order but had no response and it arived an hour later and it was stone cold and toast was like rubber and hard to chew.....Avoid the breakfast

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food was absolutely delicious, portion sizes were great, for what we got, we had amazing value for money.

Absolutely lovely fish and chips and the cookie bombs are the bombing lush thanks and it still doesn't disappoint me the batter is lush

As ever, the staff were great. The portions were generous and overall good value for money

AVOID AT ALL COST!!!.... the chips were scabby (portion size was also small) the gravy had lumps in it and the curry sauce was runny (my guess was mixed with the peas water) you pay £1.20 for a sauce (curry, gravy pees etc) but get no more than a shot glass worth.... The fish wasn't too bad but nothing fancy, I won't be going again. My guess was warm ups from the night before or just don't care as long a they sell. Delivered on time though 👍

The pensioners special was a freshly cooked large portion with a proper wooden fork to eat it. A thick piece of fish with not much batter but I found it quite tough, the peas were a very unnatural vivid green and the chips were mostly scrappy pointy bits. For the price of £5.50 which included a hot drink it was a fair deal. The lady serving was obliging and pleasant.

Very welcoming staff, even let us sit inside with our dogs, dogs got an unexpected treat of a bit of a battered sausage too, so dogs liked it too.

Decided to pop in after having an interview at the arcade next door, staff seemed nice enough. I ordered a fish and chips, which I can’t complain about, gave a really big portion of both (more than I could eat) and I sat by the sea and ate, really highlighted the afternoon for me.

Very happy with the fish and chips very well cooked and the fish was really tasty

We call here every time we visit Redcar for Fish and Chips, always cooked perfectly and big portion sizes. Not sure why so many negative reviews on here. But we have always enjoyed the food with no problems. Thank you Pier Vista:-)

Went in the other day as it was the chippy closest to us while we walked back to our car. Food and portions were good but the staff weren't too pleasant, almost looked offended when I asked to pay with card. This guy walked in, no mask and leaning on the counter right up to the staff despite signs not to and staff couldn't give a toss. There aren't any screens there I could see and the staff didn't have masks on either. I do understand they'll be people with disabilities who cannot wear masks (which is fair) but what are rules for if nobody can be bothered following or reminding people about them??

This is a great place to go for fish & chips. Lovely food at a very reasonable price & very friendly staff.

Ordered today for the first time and unfortunately won't be returning. Ordered a pattie, large sausage and chips and sauces etc. The chips where small for a large portion, tasted burnt and oily as though they had been reheated even though they where cold. The pattie was just a ball of batter and the batter on the sausage was raw and inedible. We did ring to complain and spoke to a lovely woman who was apologetic and sent the full order back out. The second time it was slightly better but still awful and we couldn't eat it unfortunately and would have rather had a refund but this wasn't offered. Won't be returning sorry

The chips tasted dry and burnt and there was no fish in the batter, it was just pure batter which was hard.

Possibly the worst Cod and Chips I've ever tasted. Chips tasted stale and reheated. Cod was dried out and the batter was simply awful. I will not be using this place again ever and I would recommend anyone to go elsewhere. Should have known there was a problem with the Pier Vista as there was no queue outside. Shame I can't give less than one star.

Payed exta for a chip but just to get given chips to then find out after that the chips arnt nice although the sausage was gorgeous and lots of scraps also would have preferred a non seeded bun so all I ate was a sausage with scraps would not recomend

Ordered from ubereats, ordered large sausage x2 gravy and chips, spam fritter, pineapple ring and chips. Food arrives we go through and my sausages aren't there so rang to let them know, no answer... Message on ubereats, no answer The chips were awful Wouldn't recommend

Not good. Ordered two lots of fish and chips, one fish was undercooked ang one was all batter with very little fish inside. Chips weren't good either..

We waited in a queue for over an hour for two chip butties as the chip shop was focusing on delivery orders. The chips were ok, the curry sauce was horrible and tasted strongly of vinegar. The spread they use on the bread bun was nasty cheap stuff. Not great.

Viaje familiar a Redcar en una tarde muy muy húmedo con la familia (uno el sábado en una silla de ruedas) - no hay mucho más que hacer, pero encontrar un lugar seco para la comida!Encontré este grande con vistas al mar frente al restaurante Helter Skelter - curiosamente completamente vacío en el almuerzo pero abierta y perfectamente bien para una tarde de 10!El servicio era rápido y dado los caprichos de una mezcla de edades y muy peticiones específicas para adolescentes miembros de la familia 'comida y bebida nuestra camarera de excepcionalmente paciente y nos las arreglamos para conseguir todo correcto la primera vez - algunos feat con nuestra familia.La comida era igual de rápido a llegar después de las bebidas. Pescado y chip especial fue una estupenda relación calidad-precio y era bastante decente (caliente y recién hecha)en general un lugar que vale la pena recomendarlo.¡Bien hecho!

Came here today on a family visit seeing as we are in the area. We found this place to be really nice and we have enjoyed the food. The staff i met today are lovelly :)) i will be coming back again soon x

Really good food and really good service. Jamie was our server and he was brilliant! Very attentive and understanding - couldn't have been any more polite! Baby changing facilities were fab as well. Highly recommend

Fuimos a Bella Vista para pescado y patatas fritas como en Redcar.La comida era buena, sin fallos pero el personal se olvidó de nuestras bebidas, luego se levantó alrededor del hasta beban su propia antes me levanté y recordé.Unas pocas personas a la izquierda mientras espera para ser atendido, ya que fueron dos de ellos tomar bebidas a varias mesas pero no dejando uno para servir.La comida era agradable no hay problema.

¿Qué mejor manera de pasar un frío sábado que para ir a la playa! Caminamos a lo largo del mar en redcar hoy buscando un lugar en el que hemos pescado y patatas fritas. La mayoría parecían como comida para llevar pero no quería para sentarse. Demasiado frío para caminar. Nos gustó mucho el aspecto de este lugar, pero estábamos un poco preocupados cuando entramos y eran los únicos a la 1 de la tarde. El lugar estaba un poco de frío, que no ayuda. Encantadora chica dijo que podíamos sentarnos en cualquier lugar. Pedí la comida mientras el marido y pequeñas piernas picotazo para el retrete. Pedimos 2 Cod especiales y unos niños pescar algo especial. Las pequeñas piernas era £4.50 y incluido frijoles y una fruta disparar, bacalao especial fue 7. extraño y venía con té o café, pan y mantequilla. Pedí mi marido los guisantes blandos. El lugar estaba muy limpio y la decoración era bonita y moderna.Cuando llegó la comida era precioso. Pescado era tan fresca y era muy se funde en la boca! Muy bien cocinados y las patatas fritas eran también muy bueno. El marido y pequeñas piernas escondido totalmente escondido.La señora detrás del mostrador era hermosa y ella fue muy agradable para mi 6 años. Volveremos cuando el clima es walker ámbitos y volveremos a Bella Vista! Mantener el nivel de trabajo chicos

El personal era muy bruscos ayer a mediodía. Nos dieron las patatas frías con piezas frías de la pasta. Si pudiera dar sin estrellas. El propietario no debería dejar estos personal sin vigilancia. Yo era un visitante de redcar, probar cualquier otro fish and chips en redcar antes jamás volver a Vista.

Firstly the location is great! Staff were friendly and were very helpful. You can tell allot of care has been put in to this place! Reasonably priced fish and chips that weren't greasy portion sizes where good too. Will certainly return

We decided to eat at this restaurant after taking the children to the beach....what can I say...service was brilliant they brought our children a colouring sheet and crayons to keep them occupied while we relaxed with our drinks and when our food came I was more than satisfied children had cod bites and chips with beans and me and my partner had the cod and chip special which includes bread and butter and a cup of tea or coffee everything was faultless. Will definitely be going back to this modern, clean and well run restaurant.

Visited here for fish and chips. Fish was soft and fresh, wasn't too greasy (which can be off putting) chips were delicious good portion sizes. Very modern with clean toilets. Ideal place along the promenade to stop off for a bite to eat.

Amazing food that is cooked to perfection, big portions you deffinitley get value for money! The resteraunt is calm and relaxing with nice music in the background. Everywhere is clean and hygenic, friendly welcoming staff that are there to help with your every need! I am fussy with where i eat and i highly recommend that people take a visit to Bella Vista and give it a try even if your not hungry they offer hot drinks and cakes that are also amazing!☕

Yo estaba en la zona para visitar a familiares y estábamos muy recomendable Bella Vista. Honestamente puedo decir que es un establecimiento muy limpio y el personal era muy amable, me sirve pescado recién cocinados y patatas fritas que estaba delicioso. Me dí cuenta que sirven una selección de pasteles, así que sí, me di el gustazo de un trozo de pastel de zanahoria, ahora que he probado muchos una tarta de zanahoria y esto fue thebest! Nada era demasiado problema. Se puede ver el esfuerzo que ha ido en agradar a los clientes y regresaré cuando esté visitando el norte.Yo recomendaría a cualquiera que esté en la zona a visitar ya que estaba totalmente conquistó la experiencia completa.Gracias a todo el personal.

Really friendly atmosphere and very clean. The fish and chips were the best iv had in Redcar so without a doubt i will be returning.

Our food took a while to come, as there seemed only 1 person working. But to be fair the fish and chips were genuinely outstanding. Very large portions and very nice fish. Had a coffee too which was beautiful. And you usually get dishwater in some places. The place was empty, which worries me about some places in Redcar. People of Teesside need to get behind Redcar and good quality places like this or we'll lose them! Toilets were clean and modern too. The decor inside was nice and it was am excellent place to eat.

Having seeing this place newly open for only a few months we decided we wanted to try it... And we are so glad day we did!! Plenty of seating, decorated absolutely lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful.My husband is in a wheelchair and they accommodated for him perfectly, there is a ramp at the entrance, spacious table that he could wheel directly up to and wheel chair friendly toilets. We ordered the cod & chips special which came with bread and butter and a pot of tea. Well worth the money, the portions were huge! We will definately be back.

The food arrived quickly and was very hot.The décor of the place is lovely, they have a lot of different seating to choose from, breakfast bar in the window over looking the sea, sofas and plenty of tables.Will 100% be returning.

we went to this lovely restaurant on a visit to Redcar , it was surprisingly empty .. I say surprisingly because the service was great , the two lovely young ladies were very welcoming and the restaurant was very clean and very pleasant with a view of the lighthouse . The food was delicious , we had the special which was fish and chips, bread and butter and tea or coffee , very reasonably priced .. The food was quickly delivered and well presented with a large fish , loads of chips and it was delicious ... I highly recommend you visit this lovely restaurant if you are ever in the area

We sat down boy was I hungry, I thought fish and chips mushy pea's and a cup of tea would be fine. The fish was out of this world wonderful batter very hot and fresh, I could not eat all the beautiful chips but I did try. Great meal, great restaurant. I would be proud to recommend.

The food was delicious! The fish was cooked to perfection nice and lightly battered. The full restaurant has a nice relaxing vibe which makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk through the door. The music was another nice touch to the atmosphere. The full place was clean and brand new I give Bella Vista 5 out of 5!

Decorated really nicely, we sat and looked out to sea. Staff are pleasant and happy and food came quickly. Fish was a good size and batter was nice and golden. Chips were light and crispy. Fish, chips, Bread and butter and a coffee for £7.95. Overall good food and for a good price.
