Costa in Redcar and Cleveland

A lovely clean place ..friendly helpful fast staff...who make everyone welcome..food and drinks are always spot on....will always come back the this Costa coffee.....they have no problems with disabled children either ..well done

Ordered on app 15 mins before drove to drive through to collect which was empty. Told if it was collection to go in cafe massive queue. Takeaway was put on plates told no decaffeinate coffee. What a joke took twice as long and didn’t have what we ordered they change staff every week and none seem to know what they’re doing

Ordered breakfast through them and 40 minutes after they originally said it would arrive only half the order arrived. they spent an extra half an hour to not send what i ordered. absolute joke just because I'm not there in person.

I was extremely happy with the high quality of service taken place today! I go in Costa a lot of the time however, the staff particularly one not sure of her name... (a woman with black hair) she was amazing! Always very merry and chatty but she explained to a customer perfectly that they should sign into the app and how it's for there own safety. The customer seemed reluctant at first but she kindly insisted that it was for their best interest due to this, I think we all need someone with a positive attitude in these crazy times! Looking forward to going back again.

Costa is always a good coffee. I'm not an expert but it always ticks all the boxes for me. This branch is no different. The decor is pleasant and the atmosphere is calm. A recent ram raid to the store has been repaired, fixed and they are open as they were before. Only two draw backs. Firstly, at busy times, you can be in for quite a wait. The staff are working flat out and doing their jobs well, there just needs to be more of them. Secondly, and this is a little pompous, a single member of staff really let's down the team. Apparently this has been said before and nothing changes. On all fairness, they do their job well and efficiently and it has a minimal effect on our overall experience. But being served by a sour faced misery just scuffs the otherwise excellent shine

First time at this Costa and if I hadn't been with a client, I would have walked out. The whole place looks as though it needs a good clean. Cake display area is full of old crumbs, coffee machine looked filthy and the entire service area behind counter, where they prepare your drinks, looks like it needs jet washing. The 'barista's' apron appeared as though it had been worn for weeks and he proceeded to wipe his hands on it while preparing our coffees. Inappropriate behaviour generally by the three young staff. As the barista served the 2 ladies in front of me, he stated '2 hot drinks for 2 hot ladies'. I asked for soya milk and he and a female staff proceeded to have a conversation between them about the fact that 'milk comes from cows, other milks aren't really milk, ' and he finished off the conversation by stating that 'in fact milk can come from goats, sheep and in fact anything with nipples'. Hardly an appropriate conversation to be having in front of customers. I will not be visiting again, unless I get a new job as an environmental health inspector, in which case, I would take great delight in giving them a score of 0.....

Like this Costa but it wasn't busy on my last visit yet tables were dirty and I had to ask for them to be cleaned, this really should be done as soon as people leave but it never seems to be a priority at Costa!

Lovely bright sunny building based on Cleveland retail park, seating inside and out. Always a queue but goes down quick. Good service Tables need clearing

Called in just for a coffee , was greeted by the most friendliest barista ever , I’m sure his name badge said Dominic , absolutely first class service he’s a credit to your store ! I will definitely be returning with service that’s so welcoming!

We've been using this Costa since it opened and it's always been great, excellent coffee and food. It's recently been refurbished and is now more comfortable. My only complaint is that they seem to be slow at clearing and wiping down the tables, especially when it's busy which doesn't look good when you walk in.

Was previously put off this place by annoying staff so stopped going but recent visit was very pleasant with nice guy serving. It was really busy but staff were very efficient

Just down the road from this Costa is another one which is much friendly and has an excellent drive thru. It's also very nice inside if you want to sit in, clean and tidy and usually quiet.

Called here midweek for a quick drink,we got in just in time as about 12 followed us in.only 2 staff serving and there was a build up of empty cutlery cups etc on a few tables. Drinks and eats usual fairly standard but there was a strong drainage smell from left side toilets which was not nice,overall ok

Wasn't that busy more people in the queue waiting Tobe served, than sat down . Usual drinks so ok. Toilets smelt and no toilet roll, came across girl sweeping floor and mentioned it she was friendly and said she would take a look

Costa is a great place to stop and take 5 minutes of your feet after a day of shopping at the retail park the staff are friendly and always have a smile on there face when serving food is always of the same standard and in the 3 sites i often visit the standards are all the same. The only thing i would maybe pick up is that when buys there can be a little wait too be served but with good customer service is easily over looked.

First visit to the Cleveland shops and pleased to see the Costa. Called in for brunch and we all really enjoyed it . Friendly staff nice atmosphere and " Luvly Jubbly " toasties and cakes and of course excellent coffees.

All costa coffee shops same where ever you go and serve very good coffee and cakes and nice and clean.

My wife and I called in for quick refreshment stop. The place was busy mid Friday morning but the service was quick and friendly. We both had flat whites and I had a breakfast bloomer which were all to the usual high standard..

Nice & Clean Visited Sunday afternoon, not too busy Tried white chocolate muffin which was delicious. Had cappuccino with skinny milk with extra shot of coffee which was perfect.

out of them all this is the best, staff are nice in all these places but I love this one, I am not a coffee drinker, and would never go in these places because I have no idea what a choco lotto, meg skinny latea, half care decafe, moca locka with 2 shots is. but my sis goes all the time so I went in I was a virgin, so I said can I have a coffee, the man said yes and gave me a coffee, it was that easy!!!, you do not need to learn a knew language, and the coffee was ok too So after years of avoiding these places I am converted so now I am a regular, I am reviewing this one first as this was my introduction to coffee shops, I also love the egg toast sausage toast too.Always clean and calm

Coffees, tea and plenty of other drinks available. Quite expensive for a coffe. They also sell snack time things, biscuits, cakes, toasties etc

If you want a great cup of coffee you can't do much better than Costa, and this branch keeps up the standard. Ideal location when you need a break from the retail therapy.

As always this Costa delivers food and coffee that is consistent not just with this place but also with their other branches. The staff on this occasion were really polite, more so that normal and that stood out for me.

After spending a hour in Vodaphone trying to renew my contract, we dropped in for a coffee ad a muffin. One thing you can say is that they are consistent with the quality of their tea and muffins. Worth having a Costa card to accrue benefits.

Coffee always spot on but would not have the cakes as the last two times I have pointed out there was a fly crawling along the open cake counter staff just shrugged and walked away. A college came in after lunch who also spotted the fly chowing down on expensive sweet treats put me right off. Should be covered but I suppose been sighted in a hospital if you do fall ill your in the right place

Popped in for a latte with friends. Staff are very polite and happy to be serving you. The coffee table is as expected from a costa (gorgeous). It is a bit expensive for coffee but u get what u pay for

I couldn't possibly say a bad word about Costa Coffee!!! I would highly recommend a hazelnut hot chocolate with cream if your wanting a hot beverage or a lemon iced tea if your wanting a cold beverage. Absolutely DELICIOUS!

Always visit costa coffee when over at Skippers Lane. Staff are friendly and polite, great choice of coffees and cakes. Best tasting coffee.

I can't say I've ever had a bad lunch here but when it's just paninis and cakes then it's not really that difficult. That said, I would always choose Costa over Starbucks any day or any of the other chains. I just love their ham and cheese paninis but a little too expensive really for what it is.

We visited on the 18th May 2015 and paid approximately £7.50 for a cappuccino, hot chocolate and biscuits. However they mistakenly gave us a latte instead of the hot chocolate. When I took it back and asked politely for it to be changed the staff's attitude was appalling. I was spoken to rudely and told by the manager that I would have to pay an additional 85p to make up the difference. I didn't have any change on me and they stared at me as if it was my fault they made a mistake! I told them they ought to discount the 85p and in front of a long line of customers they tutted and behaved more like staff at a greasy spoon embarrassing me. Very unprofessional and no idea about customer service. At no point did they apologise. Overpriced and over-rated!

Pop here for a coffee sometimes when I'm in Middlesbrough. Always feel v welcome even when I'm picky n indecisive n they get my drinks spot on. They do get rather busy but deal with it well n it's a nice happy atmosphere

Great place to go for coffee if you don't want to pay ridiculous prices! The Costa in Middlesbrough is in the middle of The Cleveland centre so it's right near the shops and I always receive good service and I don't feel ripped off.

Called in here for a sandwich and a coffee to take out, the staff were happy,polite and efficient, I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken wrap, mini pecan tarts and coffee , would call here again if in this area

Don't normally write about shops, was in with the wife for a take out, happy friendly staff, what a surprise, just hope their manager appreciates the effort they put in to make their customers feel very welcome

It was the first time I went to costa in Middlesbrough. It asked for a flavored coffee but one of baristas gave me a normal latte. So I told his colleague that I can't taste any vanilla in my coffee. He took my latte to put some syrup in and I saw him saying something to his manager and then they both game me this annoyed look without realizing I was looking at them too. Then he said that the next time I need to stir it first before drinking and he walked away. I know it's silly but it wasn't nice I used to work in a cafe and the situation like this wouldn't be acceptable even if the customer wasn't right you always smile and say sorry that's all.

Very busy with two young staff rushed off feet long queues and dirty tables, minute milk jugs with enormous coffee cups but that's all Costas.

Went here today sat outside with family as lovely sunny day.food and drinks fab.you pay for what u get Quality!.staff were polite and proffesional and very helpul.will be back soon hopefully if in area.

Love costa coffee, the coffee is delish, but the staff are really really nice. I have visited many different costa's and have always had excellent service.
