Just had to write this review as our meal and all the staff were exceptionally fantastic, we came here for Mothers Day lunch, I have been here before but many years ago but thought I'd give it a try and I'm so glad we did, we all had Sunday roasts which were massive, tons of veg to accompany it as well, very tasty and just had enough room for a pud, the staff were absolutely lovely and there were plenty of them, we didn't have to wait long for our meals to arrive, I'm definitely putting the jolly sailors on my list of favourites that's for sure.

The title says it all. Husband and I had a fantastic dinner here. Home cooked, tasty food for a very reasonable price. Really warm welcome from 2 ladies, 2 dogs and 1 cat. Friendly service. Very impressed.

A lovely old country pub with a roaring fireplace and polite, friendly, professional staff. Visited for a meal after a hospital appointment with my mother due not not having the desire to cook on returning home and its by luck we have found somewhere we will 100% re-visit. On arrival the staff the were friendly and were informative about menu changes for the day, what they did, or did not have, which is good as some places only tell you they haven't got something as you order, which I find annoying. The menu had a very good selection of choice and caters for those wanting to spend on a budget, or those looking to push the boat out a little bit. I ordered the "small" hotshot parmo at a very reasonable price as I was not that hungry but to my surprise the portion was so big I had to ask for a box!..I think the large might even be a food challenge for some according to the waitress. I will point out that it wasn't just that the quality of the food that was good, the taste was beautiful and the portions were very generous. I plan on returning with my children (adults!) for a family event very soon!

9 of us went for Christmas lunch we arrived at 12-30 we finally got our starters at 2-40 then 3-15 before we got a sorbet the mail meal didn't come until 4-20 by that time we had all filled up on drinks. We left at 4 -50 still waiting for our desert and hot chocolate with cake that we didnt get , Fair to say for £85 each we won't be going again. Far to slow and to many customers not enough staff

We drove past this pub a few times whilst on our travels during our break. The kids noticed the play area so we decided to go for a meal on our last night. The play area is lovely, secure, clean and we loved seeing the retro park- it took us down memory lane. The staff are lovely, inside the pub is nice too. The food was excellent!! Everything was home cooked and the portions are really generous. I had the lasagne & garlic bread, my husband had a pork Parma and both kids had a cheeseburger off the kids menu- all were lovely and enjoyed by all. We will definitely be back when we’re back in the area again. Thank you.

Visit the Jolly sailor on many occasions with my family and friends and have never had a bad experience. Staff are always friendly, happy and make the effort to talk to you. Never feel uncomfortable if I arrive before my friends and family. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Bar staff are amazing, fast and efficient with the drinks and waitress always on hand. Always friendly even when really busy. Nice touch when they remember what you drink.

We were in the area for long weekend, and wished we had found this pub/restaurant earlier, as it was the best of the 3 pubs we visited. Food was very good, big portions and good quality reasonably priced. Looked after by Paul, who had the perfect balance of being welcoming without being pushy. If in the area, will definitely return to the The Cross Keys.

Came to the Voyager with my parents for the first time since I was there with a social group called Autism Matters where the food wasn't very good but that was years ago. Anyways this evening's meal that I had was a cheese burger and skin on fries, honestly the quality was unreal and the fries were my favourite thing on my plate and the burger was a lot more nicer than it was the last time I visited the Voyager. I'm definitely going to keep coming back for a pub meal as this pub definitely delivers. 5/5

Very pleased to report that this shop has reopened after a long closure. I got a substantial and tasty cod and chips here. Last time I got a sausage and chips - they stop cooking fish when getting near closing times, and when I arrived at 18:50 sausage and chips was the only dish on offer. Be careful of restricted opening hours, particularly early closing times in the evenings. Edit - since I updated the hours last week, they have changed again and the shop now closes at 7:00pm on Fridays.
