We had a really nice cup of coffee & slice of delicious lemon cake at this lovely cafe! All the other cakes & pastries looked fab & the deli counter foods looked really very nice too! Warm & welcoming service from the staff.

A really cool looking pub which is huge. They offer a massive range of spirits and beers. The staff are pretty good. I decided to order food... The large Haddock and chips for £12. The food arrived 10 minutes later as the pub was pretty much empty. A handful of chips shoved into a metal beaker. The chips tasted really old, like they had just been reheated. Then I attempted to cut into the fish. The batter was so thick and was as hard as concrete and exploded as soon as I presented the knife. What was left was a tiny fish despite saying 10-12 oz on the menu. The batter wasn't edible and was left like a slag heap on the side of the plate. Without doubt the worst fish and chips I've ever had.

This is a review of the Christmas Day lunch. We did not stay at the hotel. Firstly, the entrance and the fabulous building are very beautiful. What an impressive place Guisborough Hall is. We were warmly welcomed, the beautiful lounges were very busy but we found some good seating. At the appointed time we were taken through to a small but lovely dining room, (guests staying had their own large lounge. The serving staff were friendly and even though some had not had much training they gave good service. We were brought some excellent bread, then our starters. The two having trio of melon got a very small portion, the two who ordered the molten Camembert got a much more substantial portion. The Croque Messure (sp!) was very nice but the Camembert was not molten. The main course of Turkey was the worst Christmas meal I have ever had. The plates were cold, the chefs had poured a lot of gravy on the plates which caused some spilling on to the table cloth. The Turkey (from a loaf) was ok but all the meat and vegetables were just warm. This is not acceptable. As for the Christmas pudding. Again everything was only just warm, the pudding had a crust and the brandy sauce didn’t taste of brandy plus there was not much of it! Even the after dinner coffee wasn’t hot. All in all, apart from the building and setting it was a very disappointing and very expensive mistake.

The food was okay but we received terrible customer service. They think it is okay to talk behind your back when they think you can’t hear them when you can. They give dirty looks and don’t show any enjoyment and just make the whole shop feel really awkward and it has a terrible atmosphere. Maybe we just caught them on a bad day, but have some respect for your customers and don’t talk about them behind their back when they can clearly hear you. It’s incredibly rude and can make people feel really uncomfortable.

No 'arf.

My parents regularly visit the coffee shop. We decide to meet up here as a family of 8. My parents arrived before myself and my partner and 2 children, we arrived at 4pm, I went inside to order food and drinks and overheard a member of staff complaining about my parents been sat there ( my partner didn't tell me this part until we got home. I approached the counter and asked for a black coffee, a voice from behind the girl that was serving me said no coffee available, so I said OK ill have hot chocolate to which her answer was no hot drinks I've switched the machine off!! I ordered 2 cans of coke and 2 tangos cherry pie with ice cream and a chocolate Sunday ( was not cheap was told to sit down and food would be brought to us. Sitting down the same girl came outside and started slamming chairs and dragging tables about, whilst mumbling to another member of staff who was clearly embarrassed!! By this point I was upset and angry at how bad the customer service and how rude the girl was. So I went inside and asked for my money back as I wasn't prepared to sit and wait to be made to feel uncomfortable same girl said no you can't have your money back as you have had your order!! My order was still sat on the counter melting away!! The manager came trying to explain the attitude on the girl was absolutely shocking and she still continued to be rude and butt in! Anyway got my money back and defiantly won't be returning.

We asked on arrival what time they closed so we could come back for something after our walk, were told half 3/4. Got back at 2:50 and they were closing up despite us and other customers wanting to be served. Met a very disappointed gentlemen outside just after they’d shut. There is a sign to say they may shut early due to the weather, but when it’s very short showers between long spells of sun, and you have customers wanting to be served the weather shouldn’t affect the closing time. Felt like they just wanted to go home early. Wouldn’t go back as you can’t guarantee they’ll be open.

We had a great main meal sea bass and lasagne but was a bit disappointed by the dessert Chocolate and peanut butter stack which is a sharing dessert which always gets when we dine here. The dessert was delicious but compared to our previous visits was a lot smaller. Great service friendly staff.

Called for Sunday lunch. Service was good. The meal was OK, it was not superb and neither was it poor. The meal was reasonably priced and they had a good choice of beers as it has a full bar, and is as much of a pub as it is a hotel and restaurant.

What a lovely place, the food was amazing and plenty of choice. Staff very friendly and helpful. We had 3 courses each, and plenty of beer which was also very good. And the bill came to less than £120. We also stayed overnight in the motorhome, a very peaceful night it was. Highly recommended

A pleasant cafe with great drinks and something for everyone on the menu. I got the nourish bowl. It was nice enough! The tofu was a little bit flavourless, and I don’t think white rice went with the dish (quinoa or other grains would have gone better I think). But I enjoyed it and I appreciate a healthy vegan option on the menu! Outdoor seating are also great in warm weather ☺️

Visited Seaview multiple times and each time, every time, it is superb. Be prepared to queue as we did on our last visit but the wait is never long and well worth it. The views out over the beach and sea are awesome-inspiring and the restaurant is always clean, friendly and welcoming. There’s bags of options for the kids and I usually enjoy their Saltburn Crab Brioche - which is a combination of white & brown crab, crayfish tails, celeriac remoulade, pickled cucumber & radish, skinny fries and lemon mayonnaise - gorgeous. Will return ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
