Me and my wife come here fairly regular and finally got round to leaving a review, Excellent very reasonably price Sunday dinners and evening meals, quality very consistent with a good extensive menu. Give it a try I doubt you will be disappointed.

Absolutely brilliant place , the food is amazing, the staff are amazing, only place to be in redcar 💯 recommend to all who visit

Attended a wake in the upstairs room. Great food and good beer. Room ideal for smallish functions such as birthdays, christenings, anniversaries etc.

Went for some after a busy day and was not disappointed food was lovely staff was excellent big thank you to Sonya for all her amazing recommendations for places and things to do and great customer service will definitely be visiting again a very big thank you

Me and my partners family went for food here and there was 13 of us not one of us had a decent meal or enjoyed it the food was terrible and not cooked properly. The biggest disappointment was asking for my stake medium rare and they over cooked it and it was chewy as hell. Would highly recommend anywhere else but here. Have a nice day everyone

Visited on a Monday night 2 days after they opened post lockdown. What a organised, well staffed and clean pub that maintains social distancing and sanitizer to hand. Nothing was too much trouble even my gluten free friend was catered for on a limited menu and the food was top class and service to go with it too! Thank you Connor was making it so as we were so not geared up to the smart phone scan your table thing! You went beyond the line of duty to ensure we got a meal and drinks regardless. Will be going back but with those portion sizes maybe not every night as I would be 10 stone heavier!!!! Well done to all of you I will spread the word how amazing O’Gradys is!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at O'gradys. It is a hidden gem not far from main town centre and only 5 mins from the beach. Easy free parking. The rooms are lovely and spotlessly clean. Roy and Jan are superb hosts. Great live music fab atmosphere. Wide variety of drinks. The meals are very tasty such a varied menu so much to choose from. We will most definately stay at O'gradys again. I can most definately recommend a stay at this great hotel.!!!

WE STAYED AT O'Gradys in Redcar for the first time. WHAT A GEM OF A PLACE!! Great atmosphere, lovely friendly helpful staff. We had a really nice meal I had the lasagne and husband had a large cod. Really superb food absolutely delicious!!! Our room was really nice plenty of space spotlessly clean large TV tea and coffee very comfortable. Plenty of parking!! Can't recommend this place enough. EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY, We will definately be coming back to stay at O Gradys on Turner Street in Redcar. JUST FABULOUS Thankyou Roy and Janet 10/10

We have been here a few times and it was always good, but this time the order was fish and chips twice, ribeye steak twice and burger annd chips, the burger was ok, the soggy fish was sent back the new fish was not cooked enough, my ribeye was awful and i could not chew it, my brother in law had the other ribeye and it was chewy and tasteless.

Popped in for a drink with my husband and decided to have lunch. We ordered two slices of turkey each which was cut thick along with mounds of veg and giant Yorkshire pudding and gravy boat £6.99 bargain price !!! Very tasty and piping hot. Worth a visit for food, drink and lovely atmosphere. Thank you

Popped in to rehydrate on a hot day, good selection of beers and the place was crowded and buzzing, fun time with the other customers and came out fully rehydrated.

Stayed here several times, took the Mrs last time, very friendly, clean basic accomadation, I cannot think of a negitive thing, apart from time a women was going to "Scratch my eyes out" but thats another story, handy for beach and live music on a week-end, would not esitate in recommending the place, the breakfast is very good as well and the "Parmo's"

As my friends and I are football fans, we come to Ogrady’s at least once a week to watch the match. We usually get food here too as the matches we watch are late kick off. Today, just like we do every other week, a few of us came to watch a match and have something to eat/drink. Within the first hour of us being here we spent a little over £50 on food and drink, and had planned on getting dessert and more drinks after our food had settled. Within approx. 10 mins of our plates being taken off the table by the waitress, the owner (i presume), a middle-aged man, came over to us and started shaking his head and calling us ridiculous and said we had 5 minutes to order more drinks before he kicked us out as he “is having a busy night” and, i’m assuming, thought we just came to watch the TV and had not bought anything. One of our group tried to tell him we had just finished our food and had already spent a fair amount of money only for him to keep mumbling “ridiculous” and walk away from us.We are paying customers, and have spent a lot of time/money here over the past few months - only to be called ridiculous and threatened to be kicked out (despite spending a lot of money already in the first hour of being here). For a grown man, his attitude was terrible and I cannot believe he would speak to his customers that way. Would not recommend.

First visit when family came over to stay with us here in Redcar. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, Hunters chicken was a large succulent chicken breast with slice of lean smoked bacon in a lovely BBQ and melted cheese sauce. The cheese burger was really tasty and belly pork was melt in the mouth. All served with fantastic chunky chips. Staff all friendly. In the past we’ve used a hotel on the front for taking our visitors to, but the food here was sooooo good, will be going here on a regular basis now. EXCELLENT!

Visiting the area to see family, they got tickets for the New Years eve party, it was brilliant, a great live band "Kings Contraband" reasonable hot buffet, great atmosphere, the staff were very friendly and hard working, well done.

We recently held my Cricket teams AGM at O’Grady's. We have held it hear for the last couple of years and the reason is Roy and his team always look after us so well, they can’t do enough for us.

Come here quite often and have never had a bad meal or drink staff very helpful and friendly so pop in when passing

Hotel room was okay...ish... Bit dated and not clean.. Food was awful... Cardboard thick pastry and very little filling in the bread.. Some bar staff were really nice.. Others were rude beyond belief ! Breakfast was enjoyed until mould was noticed on the toast!!

Breakfast was OK and staff there were good. However, hotel rooms are old and dated and not clean to a good standard. Bar/pub is a joke with a couple of the staff very rude and not customer friendly (exclude Alan and a new member). The owner was away and another member of staff actually commented how some of the poor ones took it as a liberty!!!!

Visited for lunch with a friend, lunch order took nearly 25mins to arrive. Which is a long time for a jacket potato. The staff were very friendly and polite but kitchen service needs to speed up.

Stayed at a B&B; around the corner. Good value and excellent quality, genuinely surprised at the amount of chips and onion rings with my burner and excellent standard of pub burger. Will be eating here again next time I am in Redcar.

Omg I can't tell you how lush our meal was and it was huge. Everything on our plates was mouth watering. Fast friendly service highly recommend!!

Excellent well set out restaurant with facilities for groups or a more cosy secluded area. Food very good with a wide choice of wholesome food and drinks, all at reasonable prices.

Central location, excellent customer service and offer Great food at very reasonable prices. Live bands on weekends and great Sky coverage of Sporting events.

The food in this place is amazing . The cod was enormous and home cooked chips and the onion rings are amazing . Lovely place with very friendly professional staff that made it so much better . Can't wait to go again .

If you are a contractor and you have had a few pints and you are not bothered about the quality then this place is for you, we had in brackets a Sunday lunch, ant Bessie's Yorkshire puddings and all frozen veg, what more can I say or yes they won't see us again

The restaurant looks great and has a really nice feel to it. I had the boiled ham and mash and a pint of Guinness, delicious! Also had breakfast here and had the irish cooked breakfast, which was really nice. Excellent service, really quick and lovely staff.

Really good fast service of food. Loved the food, we had a turkey dinner and a roast beef dinner. Both had plenty of vegetables with them and would recommend it to anyone.

Service is quick but not slick, the food is well cooked and presented and the portions are generous. This town centre hotel serves bar meals and has a restaurant. NOTE: It is located in a residents-only parking zone, if you park outside the hotel entrance in Turner Street, you need a special parking permit from Reception and that needs a £10 deposit, refunded when you return the permit. Park in Queen Street outside the bar entrance and there are no restrictions in the evening.

Great staff very helpful, fair priced food presented well,double bedrooms very comfortable good breakfast provided ,bedroom and shower room cleaned well ,we would go back again well done O'Grady's.

We were part of a post christening party in the upstairs function room. A cold finger buffet was provided which was very tasty. We had to go down stairs to the restaurant and commented how good the Sunday lunches looked. All the staff were very pleasant. We'll be back for Sunday lunch in the New Year.

3 of us had a look around Redcar then called in here to have lunch. £ different meals were ordered, the meals were delicious. My omelette, home made chips & salad was one of the best omelettes I have tasted. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Corned beef pie, chips & vegetables, our friend had chicken breast with peppercorn sauce, chips & salad and was equally as tasty. The place was very big inside, very tidy & spacious. At £18 for 3 meals it didn't break the bank. Can recommend this place to anyone.

Me and my wife popped in for some food over the weekend and they had football on the tv screens the pub was very busy the lovely lady who we spoke to said we could sit in the restaurant part as me and my wife don't like football they then brought us our drinks and food so we didn't have to go anywhere near the bar area and we had a quiet restaurant to sit in away from all the football fans for them to open the restaurant just for two people we couldn't thank them enough as all ways the food was lovely 10/10 can't beat the food and all the staff are very friendly would highly recommend this place if you are in Redcar

We came here after we went to the scream factory. Only 5mins away and there was 8 of us. We ordered off the bar menu very nice food

Called in for a pub lunch we had 2 meals for £8 very good pie potato,carrots and peas and a drink each lots to choose from they also have a restaurant that looked very nice for someone wanting something special would recommend very much

Ate here last week fantastic everybody had a great meal all served freshly cooked and piping hot huge portions but no compromise on quality . All staff very friendly and helpful they also serve a cracking pint

Went with friends and enjoyed a lovely evening meal! I had the Ranch Chicken which was basically chicken and bacon topped with cheese and bbq sauce. Others had the Chicken Parmo, Spaghetti Bolognese and Cajun Chicken and all had BIG portions and all were delicious. Can't wait to go back!

I have being hear a few times I must say very disappointing, I went with my family the first time for sunday dinner, We had the roast mine and my daughters had the elastic left on, they asked if we wanted another one i refused only got a partial refund, The next time i went with friends there was about 8 of us, We went to the bar got our drinks sat down looked at the menu back to bar orderd and payed for our meals, then came our meals the lady spilt gravy in my drink went all over she apologized and got me another drink, My friend got chicken curry rice she had bones in her chicken some peoples food was cold, so we thought we not go back hear, Weeks passed thought we give it one more try well which we had not dry cold food, never stayed in there rooms

Booked for Mothers Day as a special treat for my mam whose surname is OGrady. As an Irish woman she felt right at home. The barman was so kind and polite, the waitresses in the restaurant were polite and efficient and the food was amazing for the price. Also lived the fact you could keep the flower centrepiece. Lovely Day. Will certainly be back.

Regularly visit OGrady's for Sunday lunch and a few beers. The food is spot on and they have offers daily so its always worth popping in whilst shopping or going for a few drinks with the wife. The food is always excellent and I've never had any reason to complain - the value is also excellent.Its a nice atmosphere, ran by a great owner who takes pride in his pub and they have regular bands on at the weekends. There's also a hotel and function room upstairs.

Never have we had a bad meal here.Again you do have to wait as it is all cooked fresh,but worth the wait.The portions are massive,and we have to have a doggy bag to take home.Good atmospere.

We have used the restaurant and bar for meals and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food. Only once did we have we had a issue with a mix up with our order which was rectified despite the staff negating any responsibility but we have been back several times since and will continue to visit, quality food and good service at a bargain price.

Called in here for a drink before we went for a meal in a local Indian restaurant. we sat down to have our drinks and noticed the food menu. we both agreed it looked good value and decided to order off the two courses for £9.50 menu. The starters were very good and we both had parmesan for mains . both meal were served quickly and were nice and hot .The service was very good and the pub area itself was well decorated and tidy. After our meal we had some more drinks and watched a live band that was also very good.

We often have our Clubs Christmas celebrations here, the food is good, service efficient and we can have a private room.

Often come here with colleagues on a Friday. Staff very friendly and nothing's a problem (fussy eaters). Lasagna and parmos are delicious and great deals n prices too. We'll be back soon for another work lunch

Went here for our Sunday lunch on the same day the boro match was on the place was full. The staff are fantastic they seated us in the restaurant straight away away and within 5 minutes of ordering our dinners were with us the gave us a choice of pork, chicken , or beef , I had the pork my friend is daughter had the chicken we all enjoyed it snd will be there regularly from now on and will be telling all our friends . Booked the upstairs room for a family birthday celebration with steak pie & peas + chips for 70 people. Well organised by Jan and the room looked lovely. Food was excellent freshly cooked on the premises & served lovely and hot. Staff were brilliant and looked after us really well. Would definitely recommend A real gem in the centre of Redcar

I was staying at the central b n b n called in just by chance the atmosphere was brilliant made me feel like a local the staff where lovely and helpful plus the food was gorgeous been back a number of times n even took my brother when he came from Australia lol

I visited Ogradys restaurant with friends. The staff made us feel welcome on arrival. The table was ready. There was a good choice of food. Everything seemed to be cooked fresh when we ordered it. It was all nice and hot. The prices were very good. I dont have any negatives about Ogradys restaurant. The bar menu also looked tempting.

Good food and at very good prices, do an excellent parmo and Sunday dinners are very good value. Nice Victorian decor with plenty of character. Live music on many nights.

Went for dinner for a good few nights here as I was working and staying in area. This is good PUB food, not a restaurant or gourmet pub. But if it's honest pub food you are after you can't go far wrong. Guinness is really good also. Service isn't fantastic, but you are not expected to tip anyhow and a tea time this place is very busy with dinners.

the food was poor. The waitres has never heard of service with a smile. Never had such bad service. Food came out and wasn't placed was nearly thrown at you. Asked for sauces and seemed it was a massive problem. Would not recommend.

We use ogradys hotel for all our foreign workers the rooms are fantastic but the food served is some of the best to be had in redcar very well cooked well presented and very tasty would recommend to anyone . The bar is very welcoming as are the owners and staff prices are good also

We had a sunday lunch here last weekend and thought it. Was fantastic both in taste and value.Roy the proprietor was both attentive and had time for all his customers. The. Bar area was packed with a good local crowd and there was a very good feel around the place. We ate in the restaurant however we would have been just as happy in the bar/lounge area. A great place to eat and socialise. Keep up the good work.

Always get a really good meal here .....Sunday Roast is a must!!!.........service is very good and staff are very pleasant......good choice of wines, beers and spirits and prices are reasonable too!!!!......have eaten here on many occasions and never been disappointed yet!!!!

Two meals for £7 and a good selection you can't go wrong have not been for an evening visit but if the food is as good as the lunchtime it won't be long

Came here for a family meal. We ate in the lovely back room, the menu is different but the food is still really good. A full Parmo is often the size of moes half!

i stayed in ogradys for 6 weeks as i was working there the staff are all brilliant and will do anything for you the food is so good we never ate out in all the time we were there the rooms are all clean and tidy and the breakfast is to die for i stayed in room 112 most of the time and not 1 complaint in all the time i was there even if there was it would be rectified in minutes u must meet ROY AND JAN the landlords there are the friendliest landlords i have met and i work away a lot the only thing is roy always wins the quiz on thursday (lol) there is every sport on day or night and bands on weekends overall if i ever come round this area or my company i would stay here again 100%

Fabulous evening meal, mid week. Great variety of menu, so much to choose from. The food was absolutely delicious and excellent service as there were 10 of us. The food really is fantastic value for money, tasty plentiful & really well presented. We will definitely be returning & can well recommend this restaurant.

Visited friends in Co.Durham for the weekend and they took us to Redcar for the day. Visited O'Grady's on Sunday 02/02/14, for lunch, but did not book ahead. They were very busy, the restaurant was full, but they found a table for us in the bar area, where most table’s had people eating meals. Very good comfortable family atmosphere, bustling, but not manic, despite being busy the staff were very accommodating and attentive, nothing being too much... Ordered the Sunday lunch option 2 meals for £10!!, not sure what to expect, but WOW, what a fantastic meal. Choice of Beef, Pork, Turkey…. 3 of us had Turkey, so juicy and tender!, my husband had the beef, said it melted in his mouth…Good wholesome home cooking, everything cooked to perfection, tender, juicy meat, seasonal vegetables cooked perfectly, hugh yorkshire pudding's, wonderful flavoursome gravy all hot, fresh and tasty, and what hugh portions.... a totally delicious meal, possibly the very best Sunday roast I've had in a restaurant so far, and at £10 for 2 lunch's the value is exceptional. There was a good mix of couple's, families, and individual eaters; everyone seemed delighted with their meals. For those who do not want a Roast, there was a very good special board with for example Lamb Shanks for ONLY £7.95!!.This Bar/Restaurant is a little Jewel. Go to the clock Tower in town, and walk past away from town, O’Grady’s is a couple of turning’s along on the left, on the corner of Turner street (I think) and queens street…. IF YOU GO TO REDCAR THIS IS A MUST…. BEATS A PACKED LUNCH… BETTER VALUE THAN A BURGER

Didn't book just called in and decided to have dinner. Choice of meats I had the beef others had chicken & pork. Beef portion was extremely generous and delicious, melt in the mouth with real gravy and proper Yorkshire puds. Plenty of veg served on the side. I am surprised that the restaurant hasn't had more reviews. This is an excellent value for money restaurant in the heart of Redcar and great fare at a very good price. The service was good despite it being New Year's day.

We last went on New Years Day, although this was not the first time by any means. We had a great roast dinner in the lovely restaurant for £12 per person with more meat than we could eat. Great value and great service.O'Grady's is know as a pub and a venue for live music, but I think people forget it also has a restaurant, we have never had a bad meal there yet and it is always superb value.
