Not really about service, but they only take cash so don't go to a cash only place

One of the best breakfast buns ever for me and my daughter-in-law. My 3 grandkids loved their sausage, chips and baked beans/peas topped off with a tub of ice cream each. Fabulous service given by Tina and the team and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

I'd love to be able to review this cafe but unfortunately when I arrived at 3.45 the shutters had come down and even the take aways listed as available from 3.45 we're not available.

The lady who served us was lovely, helpful, and polite. The food was average, too greasy for me. Inside was very cramped and has many regulars who make you feel unwelcome.

Generous portions and reasonably priced. The coffee is great, and the desserts are unbelievable! A must if passing.

We stopped here for lunch after walking in the woods. There was an impressive range of sandwiches and cakes. We enjoyed our toasties, drinks, and rocky road. The service was friendly and I thought our meal was good value for money.

Helpful staff in this good little, dog friendly café. Sells ice creams, breakfasts, sandwiches, baked potatoes, cakes, toasties and wraps. Has outdoor seating area too, overlooked by a parliament of carved wooden owls. There is also a picnic area just opposite. The café is close to the car park, so suits for beginning or end of walking, which is good, varied terrain with good views and plenty to occupy kids.

Lovely friendly/helpful staff and great food and coffee. Plus, dog friendly.

We took our granddaughter and a dog everyone was made to feel welcome and any requests that we made were agreed to without hesitation, the breakfast's were outstanding and there is a huge choice to pick from, we will return to try a lunch.

Had the chicken peri peri wrap and can honestly say it was the best chicken wrap I've ever eaten. Loads of delicious seasoned chicken in a beautiful lightly toasted wrap with a fresh crisp side salad and slaw on the side. Delicious.

I enjoy stopping here for a coffee after a cycle, and like to support local businesses BUT foodwise there is very little consideration to vegans. (unless you want beans on toast or jkt spud) which is a real shame! 😐

Great staff service and tasty food

Great breakfast as always. It gets really busy so be prepared to wait for food and for a table. The portions are generous and I've never left disappointed. There is a good variety of breakfast items, lunch items, cakes and snacks. Will be back.

Branch Walkway burger...beautiful, the rest of the food is great as well. Quick takeaway service running at the moment also with pagers for when food is ready.

Such friendly staff giving excellent service in difficult times. Nothing too much trouble. Always a pleasure. Whether for just an icecream or a jacket potato, with the kids and dogs caked in mud or clean. Highly recommend a pit stop.

Finally open for brekkie! , well organised socially distanced service, great brekkie and toasties as always but slightly different in takeway package, package didnt stop us clearing our 'plates'. Great to see you open. x

We were visiting the walkway for the first time in many years, and after our perambulation we decided to try the. Cafe, new since we were here last! We both chose a spicy cheese scone and tea. The tea was excellent, but only 3 cups in the pot between 2 of us, luckily we did not come to blows. The scones however, were a different kettle of fish altogether. Spiced with chilli flakes and finely chopped jalapeños, with a good amount of cheese. These are not for the faint hearted half the size of a football, good flavours all the way through! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, clean and tidy and dog friendly. The toilets clean and odour free, always a good thing. Well worth a return visit.

Great family place, nice café with good food and beautiful forest walks 😉. I would recommend the walk and the café.

it is quite a small cafe but the choice of food is good. cooked to order but the service is quick and the young staff so obliging and all good to talk to. well worth popping in.

A choice of different pathways through the woods all waymarked in colour according to the length.Also a place for tea/ coffee and ice cream. Free parking

Love this cafe it is amazing, staff are great and the food excellent, large car park and is at the start to many great walks, lots for children of all ages to do, dogs welcome too.

Went there for the first time a few days ago on my day off from work and I have to say i was very pleased I did. The food I ordered was very tasty and the atmosphere was relaxing. I’ll definitely be going back soon.

We have visited a couple of times recently and we’re always impressed by the good value and great service provided. A boon to the branch walkway.

I attended with my family who compromised of two sets of paying customers, the first half of our group ordered hot food and when it came to the other members of our family to order the rude staff told us that we couldn’t order any more hot food.

Went too cafe today not open no sign to say closed very disappointed loads of business lost people wondering y not open thought at lease a notice to say sorry closed

Called in Sunday morning for breakfast before walk in the forest and without exaggerating it was one of the best Full English breakfasts I have had very well presented and plenty of it cooked to perfection,very pleasant staff

An interesting place to have lunch. Easy parking (though you have to pay £1), wide choice of sandwiches etc, lovely outdoor seating if the weather's good, and interesting information in the visitors centre next door.

In the days of bland breakfast- this place rocks, the breakfast is insanely good, I will travel some considerable distance to return. if you are within 20 miles and want a full English, go!

Set on the edge of the Guisborough Forest Walkway this cafe is a welcome stop off point for breakfast lunch or just a cuppa. Excellent food sensibly priced with ample portions which is why the place is always busy. Only drawback is the seating area could do with being bigger its now that popular, special mention to the staff very friendly and chatty nothing is too much trouble, well worth a visit.

Plenty of choice, breakfast a must or if something lighter bacon or sausage sandwich. Freshly made scones. I love the latte considering I don’t drink coffee anywhere else. The staff are lovely and so friendly nothing to much. Always busy which speaks for itself.

Called in after taking the dog for a walk in the woods, the title says it all. Staff were very friendly and even let me have a sample of the flapjacks before buying. Well worth another visit.

We visited the branch walkway at 8.30am on Sunday morning to complete the Gruffalo trail with our two little boys aged 3 & 4.

This was a lucky find as we are on the way to Whitby.

My son and I were taking our dog for a stroll round the walkway centre so decided to pop in as we were both hungry. We both went for the sausage and bacon sandwiches which were delicious. Washed down with a latte and an apple juice. We stopped in after for a slice of flapjack which was epic. Just the ticket on a Sunday morning

Situated within the information centre at Guisborough Forest, the Branch Walkway cafe is clean and smart and serves a good range of food at reasonable prices. It isn't particularly large however and I suspect seating might be difficult at busy times.

Great walk through Guisborough Woods to this little gem. A sausage and egg sandwich with a cup of tea and we were ready to walk back again. Great service and lovely area to eat in. The dogs were also happy.

Maravilloso para encontrar un perro verdaderamente agradable café en un día lluvioso. 7 bien adiestrados, incluyendo nuestro 2 mascotas mimadas, disfrutamos de la comida bien Terriers disfrutamos caminos servido por un personal amable preparado. Sin duda lo recomiendo y volveremos si en el área de nuevo.

The walks around here are well worth doing although poorly signed and the cafe is a nice call in afterwards set in the old station

Though we live fairly locally, this was our first visit to the café.After a tiring walk we decided to give it a try. Expectations weren't high as we're used to local offerings being a bit mediocre. Very pleasant surprise. Beautifully cooked and very tasty breakfast with good quality ingredients. I opted for the full Monty with everything on. A word of warning. If you do that, be prepared to set aside some time to work your way through it.

Visited here 15th May 2017.when we got there the tables were all full,so we stood around waiting for getting on 10 minutes for a group of people who had finished eating to shift themselves.very ignorant letting other customers just stand there,especially as im on a stick!!!Anyhow i ordered items from the breakfast egg,sausages,bacon,mushrooms,beans,tomatos,black pudding and toast.Also tea.My friend had a cheese toastie followed by a caramel slice and tea.The food was done very quickly with a nice pleasant waitress.It tasted good,though as on my last review(and indeed once i came between the two reviews) the bacon was on the hard side.Such an enormous amount i struggled to eat it.Our meals in total came to £11.Hard to get better value than that.This is a very dog friendly place where they are given treats and sausages,which is nice to see.

Overpriced, kids meal of sausages,waffles and beans was a disgrace sausage and waffles were deep fried, £2+ for 500ml bottle of pop, shame because it has lovely staff and has the potential to be so much better, but they are looking for £££'s. Unless a major overhaul we will never eat in this place again.

Went to the cafe when completing the gruffalo trail, they had a farmers market on at the same time outside but it was more a craft market. We got sandwiches and a kids picnic, the portion was massive and came quickly. The flapjacks are massive and the cafe was completely packed out so we ate outside.

The perfect place to stop for refreshments when walking in the area. The young girls serving today worked tirelessly as it was very busy. The coffee was hot and fresh and one scone enough for two to share! A varied menu is on offer varying from breakfasts to jacket potatoes to burger and chips as well as cakes and tray bakes galore.

It's quite pricey for what it is, but the food is cooked fresh so can't really complain. I believe the breakfast items are only 50p an item, but haven't tried so can't comment. Good tea cakes! Also a range of cakes to try etc.

Visited the cafe following the good reviews and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed tea and coffee sat outside at the wooden tables overlooking the views. The chocolate topped flapjack was huge and tasted amazing. Parking very close by £1

This is a nice little cafe on the edge of Guisborough woods. I had sausage bacon and eggs which were very nice. There are tables outside, and water bowls for dogs.Good starting point for walks in Guisborough woods. Handy for cyclists going between Guisborough and Great Ayton

Pleasant cheap cafe. Generous portions, huge cake slices decent coffee. We all had a panini or toasted sandwich and drink followed by ice cream or rocky road. Ice cream pricing £2 for one scoop and £2.50 for two scoops a bit odd encourages you to eat too much - should be less for one scoop impo. Our dog was allowed in too!

We arrived absolutely done in after a long walk and it was exactly what we were after. The Rocky Road and Mars bar cakes were truly mountainous and hit the spot and I can vouch for the crispy chicken wrap.It was busy, the food arrived promptly, it was a haven for dog owners as well as walkers and the staff were helpful at answering questions about the local area. Would use it regularly if close by. Thanks for looking after us.

We spent half a day walking in Guisborough woods with our two dogs in very wet conditions. By the time we got to the cafe the dogs were soaked and not especially clean; we were desperately in need of a hot drink and something tasty.We were not disappointed: the dogs were welcomed and we had our sustenance. The staff were very friendly. Excellent range of hot and cold food and very reasonable prices.

A very nice walk with lots for families to do so take the kids, the cafe sells very nice light meals and snacks , worth a visit.

Visited several times for breakfast, toasties, cake and drinks. All great especially breakfast which is as big as you want, depends how far you've biked, rode or walked! Staff lovely, very dog friendly and theres a massive bonus...the location its fantastic Guisborough has it all

Visited with a friend after a walk through the forest. I had a bottle of fresh orange for £2 and a chocolate flapjack for £2. They had a great selection of cakes and traybakes, all of which were huge! My friend and I easily shared one piece! Staff were polite and helpful and there was inside and outside seating available. Well placed and good selection available.

Visit the cafe often with my dog and they are the best bacon sarnies for miles, the cakes and scones are georgous as well.

Very good cafe,at the start/finish of Guisborough forest walkway.have been in many times.The breakfast is truly enormous,for £6 you wont need to eat for the rest of that day.All the food is reasonably priced.Was served on this occasion by a very nice young woman.my breakfast(i dropped several items from the full one,you can do this its just 50p per item then).It was very nice though the bacon was a bit hard.There is a railway carriage right opposite,which seems to cater for kids parties.I dont know if it can be booked for other things.Dogs are allowed in the cafe,but have to be kept on leads,but most of them are so tired after their long walks in the forest they just fall asleep

Went with son for breakfast. Like that its £6 or 60p an item. 2 large slices of toast each with butter. With 2 pots of tea came to under £10. Good value and quick service. Sat outside - great view of roseberry topping. My only slight niggle was that the tomatoes were tinned and not fresh and the toast was ever so slightly burnt. Would go again.

Seating inside and outside and they do take credit/ Visa cards if you are caught short of ready cash. We arrived after 3 which is when the kitchen closes so had an assortment of cakes , bakes, drinks and ices to choose from.The menu looks great - very simple and family friendly. Will definitely go back again but earlier.

Friendly service . Went again for a smashing Bacon Bun 3 rashers beautifully done, Seeing other peoples meals looked just as nice. Soup and sandwich combos we had previously very nice.Eat in the café or outside on the numerous seats and tables depending on the weather . Clean and simple decorum. As clientele is mainly families and hikers going into woodland walk menu is more than adequate. Very reasonably priced.

I always call in at this cafe when I'm in the area - for two fruit flapjacks to take away! I don't know what the recipe is, but they are honestly the best flapjacks I've ever tasted. They are massive and packed with fruit/nuts. All the cakes seem to be homemade and are reasonably priced. I've had drinks and sat in the cafe on two separate occasions and the coffee/tea has always been good. A great place to call in for re-fueling after a walk.

I have been here a few times before but not eaten. I had a tosted sandwich and my wife had bacon sandwich. It was very nice.

Love the fact I can go walking for miles, and at the end my dog and I can sit in warm cafe and enjoy a fabulous meal!!!

Called in this morning with wife and dog for breakfast, and what a pleasant surprise! We ordered full breakfasts not knowing what to expect - although the cafe had been recommended by my Daughters friend. The breakfasts that arrived were amazing, and 'full English' definitely only for the very hungry! Check my photo for evidence... Staff were friendly and the prices very reasonable. Overall the highly recommended - and you can walk your dog as well!

Called here between Christmas and New Year after walking in the woods with our two dogs.Called in for a coffee and toasted teacake.The staff were friendly and quick to serve.Must say the "breakfast barmcake" looked nice and was huge.The place is also dog friendly.

I read that this place had a poor visit from the Council inspector. When I went it looked perfectly clean and presentable and the sausage sandwich was lovely.

This cafe allows dogs in so that is a plus, the most excellent scones, and very friendly staff, and a lovely vista while enjoying a coffee...

If you want a place to bring the children then there is lots for them from adventure playgrounds to sculpture garden. If you want peace and quiet I recommend the two and a half hour white route through the forest. When you are done then call in at the Branch Walkway Cafe where there is lots of choice of food and drink and very good service (with a smile). I will be going back !

We go regularly. The fry up is spectacular and all really decent ingredients. Staff lovely. The cakes are to die for. It is a walkers café so there are dogs and lots of people in and out but it's lovely and clean and very relaxed. Only teeeeny feedback is there is only one high chair in the entire place. .... Please get more! !

Great value for money in a prime location. Simple, home cooked food of a very good standard at fair prices served by real people.Really good venue for families with fabulous countryside and two excellent children's playgrounds.

This little cafe at the Pinchinthorpe visitor centre on the edge of the North York Moors National Park seves cakes, scones, soup and sandwiches but for me the best is his breakfasts. Just 50p an item you make your own breakfast as big or little as you like. All the ingredients are top quality and the breakfast is freshly prepared for you. Whether after or before a walk in this lovely forest the breakfast sets you up for the day

Great place to visit my grandchildren loved it, there was lots for them to do, walking in the woods playing on all the attractions and ended up at the cafe, very relaxing day.

Lovely setting but awful cold coffee. Had all the gear but no one seemed to know how to drive the coffee machine. Was weak & cold. Disappointing after a long cycle ride, will take a thermos with me next time or try the tea instead.

It's in a great location and the service is pretty good BUT it is expensive for ice creams and such like for the kids, scones also a little steep in price but to fair they are very nice. Despite prices I still go in for tea and scones after a bike ride

This café forms part of the Visitors Centre at Guisborough Forest and Walkway at Pinchinthorpe - near Guisborough. It is quite small but conveniently located for walkers and visitors to the centre. There is a very large car-park near-by. This makes this venue a convenient spot for motorists on the A171 and A173 roads to ‘stop off’ and have a beverage and/or a small snack. As the café is deemed ‘pet-friendly’, it is also in a convenient location for dog-walkers and horse-riders (as a bridleway goes just pass it). From the window tables, there are some lovely views of the surrounding countryside - especially Roseberry Topping (another local attraction). I recently called into the café for lunch and I was very impressed with the quality of service and the food that I was served with.
