Bay Horse in Redcar and Cleveland

We had a great main meal sea bass and lasagne but was a bit disappointed by the dessert Chocolate and peanut butter stack which is a sharing dessert which always gets when we dine here. The dessert was delicious but compared to our previous visits was a lot smaller. Great service friendly staff.

Parmos use to be really nice from here but after having them a couple of times over the past 3years they have slowly got really bad, the chicken is far too thin and just no flavour to the cheese they are using. I also feel the menu is trying to be too high end and not a local with good food.

Food ok but would not rate it highly for the prices on the menu. Guinness sold in cans and expensive, not somewhere I would return.

Recently visited for my birthday meal. Food was delicious and service was really good. Didn't have to wait long to be served at all. Will certainly be visiting again

Food was amazing and the staff made us all feel welcome. They were all great helping us set up for my mums birthday as it was a surprise party for her. Would highly recomend this pub.

Just enjoyed a lovely meal, was just going to be 2 courses but couldn't resist dessert. Nicest meal we've had in a long time, lovely place and the staff were so nice. Definitely a place I would recommend.

Had not booked but they had table to sit at near the door. Ordered fish and chips fish not very good as it was all batter. Told them when they came for the plates they just said sorry. We did not want a replacement and we thought we were glad we had not paid full price for them. It was not busy but we won’t be back.

I would like to say a big thank you to all staff ,went for Sunday lunch with my husband,the food and service was lovely such a good choice on the menu . We felt that The Bay Horse had done everything possible to make our visit safe and comfortable we will definitely be going back x

It is quite a few years since we last visited this pub and it was always worth going out of our way to use it. However passing last summer and popping in we were not impressed, as it now seems to be just another run of the mill pub for food.

We decided to try this place for Sunday Lunch and we weren’t disappointed! A great little find in a quaint village location. As it was May bank holiday weekend we decided to call in advance and book a table. Unfortunately they were fully booked but the lady said we could arrive just before opening (12pm) and there would be plenty of tables at the bar, and she was right.... no issues securing a table for 5 people. The menu was very reasonably priced at £15.00 for 2 courses and an extra £3.00 for a third. The service was superb and the food came very quickly, piping hot. Tasty Beef, Yorkshire Pudding, Roast Potatoes, and seasonal Vegetables. We will definitely go back to the Bay Horse to try some of the other dishes.

My all time favourite restaurant been ere do many times and never disappointed. Amazing parmos , amazing Sunday dinners and my fave pork Dijon. Always good friendly service too.

Didn't enjoy the food and it took too long to come from the kitchen, never again will we visit this pub

Visited on NYE afternoon with friends from Kings Lynn. Managed to get a table for 1:45 pm as last food order was at 2pm. Although the restaurant was very busy we had an amazing afternoon the staff were very friendly and the food was out of this world. Loved that we could have our starters and weren’t rushed to have our main course or desserts. I would definitely recommend the Bay Horse and we will definitely be returning very soon.

3 of us visited here today at lunch time. We were politely greeted and given a lunch special menu & specials menu alongside the full main one. The starters on the set lunch menu weren’t very impressive and I’m not a desert person so decided to just order a main from the full menu. I ordered the pork Dijon and it was absolutely superb. The sauce was really tasty and the accompanying potatoes and veg were also nice. The other 2 ordered from the lunch menu and both got lamb dinner which they also said was nice. They chose a desert as their other course and got apple crumble and lemon sponge which were they said were tasty. All in all a nice lunch out.

Great place for food and drinks nothing too much trouble staff are knolegable and willing to go the extra mile to make your visit special

We arrived for a Birthday lunch and were greeted by a rude man behind the till. We have had large group meals here numerous times In the past with excellent service but this time was disgusting. We were told as we had not booked there was only seats next to the front door. We later heard other people coming In who had not booked were then offered tables in the restaurant. He was again rude to my partner she reordering drinks at the bar. The young guy who brought the food to the table was very polite and helpful. An older women came over and snapped " do you want ketchup" the food was of a high standard but the customer service was a disgrace.

Four adults, two kids and baby recently had Sunday lunch. We pre booked as we were told it was always busy on Sunday. When we arrived the table was ready and we were given a good quality high chair for the baby. Drinks were ordered and we were given sufficient time to choose our meals. There is a set price menu for one, two or three courses with a good selection of starters, the usual lamb, pork, beef, chicken and a few other choices for mains and 5 or 6 deserts. The food was excellent and the price very good for what we got. Its been many years since we last visited the Bay Horse but we will return.

My daughter and I started visiting here for lunch after our walk up clay bank, the food is always good quality, reasonably priced and served beautifully.

This place is EPIC! One of my most favourite places to take my wife. Staff are fantastic and the food is always top notch!!!

Foods always very nice here, would recommend to anyone. Homemade chips are the best! Burgers are very tasty! Sunday dinners excellent!

Vine para una comida con mi familia éramos 13 y 2 sillas altas. Cuando reservamos la mesa nos preguntaron qué nos gustaría, así que pedimos la comida anterior de la llegada, me hizo las cosas mucho más fácil cuando llegamos.

Mi jefe estaba de visita de Northampton y él nunca ha oído hablar de un probado uno olvídate parmo. Que uno solo lugar para visitar la bahía de caballos... nunca me defraudó (como siempre) encantadora ubicación, excelente servicio y buena comida en los precios craqueo valor... ahora él sabe qué Teesside Parmo. I love this restaurant, the food, staff and everything in between is outstanding. Staff go above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need and ensure you are comfortable/enjoying your food. The prices are reasonable for the amount you receive.

The wife and I come here quite often. I have never been disappointed. The food is great and the staff are alway welcoming they have a vast array of beers. Highly recommend.

I've been coming here for years. The food is always exceptional. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. I haven't a bad word for the place. You can always rely on this place to not be disappointed. If you haven't been here before...
