Popped in for lunch on a day over to Lindisfarne. Despite advertising that they cater for gluten free, a disappointing menu. When I asked at the bar if they do anything gluten free, the barman said that anything gluten free will have GF after it on menu, but they can do any sandwich with gluten free bread. There were no meals suitable on menu, so I went back to bar and asked if their spread was dairy free. Barmaid gives a big sigh and goes to check. Comes back to say yes it is, what do you want- like it was a big inconvenience for her. It’s not my husbands fault that he has allergies. Such attitude makes me wonder how anyone goes back here. Sarnie was ok but they didnt seem to do it separate to normal food as hubby found a bit of grated cheese attached to his bread. If he hadn’t spotted it, he would have been I’ll. overpriced too as the bread was just normal sliced bread. WONT BE GOING BACK!

Never in my life have I encountered someone as ill-mannered and discourteous in customer service as the blonde woman we crossed paths with whilst stopping here. Attitudes like that are something that will guarantee a customer never to return. Hopefully she can cheer up with the onset of the festive season and provide a more pleasant experience for future visitors.

Came here for lunch with family. Staff were friendly but food left much to be desired. Mushrooms on toast were almost £8.00 and consisted of four mushrooms on two slices of unbuttered white toast. No seasonings or flavours. Very poor value for money. Rest of the food was bang average.

I had a great experience with the server Cheryl, She was amazing and helpful throughout my whole experience here. The food was good, had fish and chips. All staff was brilliant and welcoming towards me. Will be back.

I like to support small businesses in this day and age BUT some have just pushed their luck to far. My partner and I needed a spot of lunch and we decided to try Deyns Deli. Firstly there are far to many tables squeezed into such a small space, making it unpleasant and uncomfortable. A bit of a tight squeeze. We looked at the menu, nothing much was popping out, but I was only wanting soup so that was fine with me. My partner went up to order, service was very slow, but meanwhile another couple squeezed into a seat beside me and I over heard them talking about the prices on the menu...which I agreed were crazy but I was just having soup. They left saying the could get a proper meal for £15 rather than a sandwich in this cafe. I agreed also. If I was on my own I may have just left but my partner was waiting to get served. We both had soup and mines was potato chilli and honey, my partner got the lentil. So so so so disappointed. It was extremely watery and tasteless. I wish I was given a straw. The lentil was also watery. I never even finished mine, absolute disgrace how they can get away with charging £7.50 for this soup. It has probably been the worst soup I have had. For 2 soups with a piece of bread, scone , 2 coffees, just over £25. Crazy! I feel as though I have just been ripped off. Postives.... 2 wee serving girls seemed nice.

An interesting venue and a friendly barmaid - but I am beginning to realise that buying cheap does not necessarily mean you get a decent real ale, because this has happened to me at three different Wetherspoon locations now... when each time a cask ale seemed poorly kept and was served under par. I imagine there's no problem with the various nitro-keg beers on offer, but it's a well kept real ale I'm after.

Previous experiences here have been good. This time, however, we found it very poor. When buying a scone we were given only one small portion of butter. When I asked for another I was told that I would have to pay extra for it. The loaded potato skins were in fact chips with bacon and cheese on the top. Doubt we’ll be stopping off here again.

We have been going to the garden centre at least 4 times a week for a long time. I booked Xmas lunch for my mum and daughter and I It was terrible So disappointing as we were really looking forward to it The carrots and parsnips were burned. The roast potatoes were not freshly cooked. We had no stuffing or cranberry sauce .The after eight cheesecake had undissolved lumps of gelatine in it !!! So disappointed as we used to enjoy our visits but the standards of service and food quality has really deteriorated . Such a shame as it used to be good .

The lunch I had was an unmitigated disaster. The so-called "new décor" was the only thing that had been refreshed—indeed, not the menu or the staff, both of which needed replacement. The day's pie was an abomination, barely edible and undoubtedly the worst I've ever encountered. My wife's club sandwich was nothing short of an insult: cheap, stale brown bread, dry, flavourless chicken, and a sad, limp slice of onion that we discarded without hesitation. Her chips side dish were an absolute disgrace—so overcooked and lifeless that they were only remotely edible after being drowned in malt vinegar. When I politely inquired about the shockingly poor quality of the food, the staff half-heartedly apologized and offered no willingness to address the issue. Instead, they had the sheer audacity to demand a full payment and a gratuity fee—an outrageous request considering the atrocious service and inedible meal. When we refused to pay extra gratuity, they reacted as if we had personally insulted them. I was raised to eat what was served, but this? This was beyond unacceptable. **Spare yourself the regret and avoid this place like the plague!**

Stayed in a nearby cottage and stopped off at the Oak Inn for a bar meal on our first evening. Everyone was very friendly, there was a nice atmosphere and the food was tasty and well priced.

-0 experience, terrible, diabolical. Burnt sausage. Poached ? Egg was the hardest poached egg ever produced. Salty bacon. Tasteless. Bread toasted, rubbish and soggy runny butter.

Stopped off for breakfast and found automation had caught up with Morrisons, in the form of an automated ordering system. Finding our way around the screen wasn't quite as easy as big Mac and KFC equivalents but we did manage it, only just. Wanting to pay by cash, however, was even more difficult as the robot doesn't accept anything except credit cards so customer, much against the chagrin, had to use plastic. The breakfasts, when they arrived, was excellent and without doubt value for plastic.

Totally ignored when we went to the counter and at least 6 people working and looking at us. Absolutely no acknowledgment from any one of them. A nod of the head and I'll be there in a minute was all we needed. After 5 minutes I said 'excuse me' still no response. We must be invisible I thought. The very tall lady who talked to us in the end needs her money back from the charm school. We then turned around and left for Seaton Sluice Harbour View chip restaurant. The difference in staff greetings was amazing. The lady in the garden centre shop was charming.

This is a lovely cafe! The food was so tasty and really homely with very generous portions. It’s such good value for money. The staff were brilliant and so friendly. We loved it here and were so grateful to find it and would definitely return.
