I ordered the Ultimate Fish and Chips but what i got was more like the small size fish and chips ! What chips i did get were overcooked and very lukewarm , so for fear of breaking a tooth i left them . Cleanliness was something to be desired . Tables not cleared or washed and food remnants over the floor in multiple areas ! A customer could have slipped and fell . There were 3 members of staff working and you now order and pay via the computer screens and pour your own drinks so taking this in mind and the fact that it was only 25% full there really wasn’t any need for the place to look so dirty !!! This used to be a place where my family and i regularly went for lunch but oh my word NEVER again .

Disappointing. Paid £2.25 for a flat white coffee. Once paid for I discovered machine did not have that option. Pointed out to a member of staff who just shrugged her shoulders & advised I choose something else! Ehh, but I wanted a flat white!! Anyway had a rather lacklustre cappuccino instead.

I was so looking forward to having lunch here before having a good look around and a shop. This wasn't to be. Just as I was about to view the on-screen menu, the head of he café apologised that the Café was now closed as the water heater was broken. No hot water, no way to wash hand and serve food. This had a tip on affect that that all the other counters, Deli, Fishmonger, etc. were also closed. Only prepacked foods were now available. No improvisation was thought about, i.e. boiling kettles to heat water. - After having no success in getting a hot meal locally I opted for one of their sausage rolls from the ' The Oven', very tasty. Proceeded to shop there after.

Stopped off for breakfast and found automation had caught up with Morrisons, in the form of an automated ordering system. Finding our way around the screen wasn't quite as easy as big Mac and KFC equivalents but we did manage it, only just. Wanting to pay by cash, however, was even more difficult as the robot doesn't accept anything except credit cards so customer, much against the chagrin, had to use plastic. The breakfasts, when they arrived, was excellent and without doubt value for plastic.

Popped in for a quick lunch with my with and son after a long drive. There were 21 un-emptied tables some which had clearly been there for some time. We left decided it was probably safer to give our toddler a happy meal from the Macdonald's across the road. I'm sure this has nothing to do with the staff more likely the lack of them but a really disappointing experience.

Went with our three young children and Cafe was pretty quiet when we arrived. Tables full of plates that hadn’t been cleared away very messy and untidy. Ordered food from the touch screen tills which was Unable to process a receipt. After a lengthy wait the food arrived and two of the three was stone cold and wrong. We sent the two meals back and when they returned they wasn’t much better. They was correct but the portion and presentation was absolutely terrible. Our 4 year old girls meal was an absolute disgrace. We had to use another plate to transfer the meal to, as the meal was swimming in sauce from beans but actually very little beans on the plate. We took this back again and they wasn’t apologetic or even concerned what they had served. Very rude! My impression the feedback is generally always negative as they don’t seem to care. Fish was served tasteless,dry and very over cooked just tastes of the oil it’s cooked in. Always understaffed. If your looking to take your kids somewhere avoid here! The quality and value for money is zero! We don’t expect Michelin star service but defiantly expect our food to come correct, hot, portions that is adequate and served with a little bit more care! Staff definitely need more training in customer service and learn to smile!

Recently taken over. Even so, still no improvement. Ordered 2 breakfasts. While waiting, and waiting and waiting other customers walked past our table warning us how awful the food was. After 20 minutes, the food arrived, COLD! I had to go up to the counter...

Used to be excellent but we went and found it has gone to a touch screen ordering. That was done,then we waited ages for the food. I had poached eggs which could have been used for tennis balls. The toast was equality appaling

Because the Berwick Travelodge is room-only, Morrison's is really your only option if you want a cooked breakfast or a hot early evening meal without driving anywhere. Good food, fairly quick service, very reasonable prices. Also, Morrison's petrol station was the cheapest we saw outside...

The photos of the large breakfast that is promoted in store are very enticing. Unfortunately these are nothing like the presented plates. Three separate visits and we’ve yet to get any black pudding. Out of stock, so we’re told. Sausage used to be lovely, now...

We were staying near by so ventured in for early breakfast. Easy to access on the outskirts of Berwick and just off the A1 We were here early and ordered a full breakfast you can order via the app, self ordering computer which was easy...

Went for a late lunch 2 adults 1 had curry I had toastie and few chips it was lovely very friendly service was great ,they also do fantastic cakes and pastries well worth a visit

Popped into Morrisons for a quick cheap tea, was not Sure I would get Gluten free here, but managed to Get Wiltshire ham, (3 lovely slices) with chips and 2 fried eggs all for £3.50...very tasty too. Will have this again for sure

My husband and I had a brunch which was delicious apart from the chips being cold and this is not the first time. Are chips cooked en masse and then served as required?

Good place to do your shopping. Has a cheap resteraunt. There are toilets and a garage here too. Reasonable prices groceries. Good for a bigot small shop.

Visited the cafe while visiting Berwick upon Tweed. The system of getting a table worked quite well. The food wasn't great and items were missing from some of the meals we ordered. Tartar sauce was requested but not given, three of the fish and chips...

Stayed at the Travelodge next door and a cousin strongly recommended Morrison's restaurant for breakfast. Would never have thought of it but we were all very pleasantly surprised. Excellent menu from which you can select via touch screen consoles and pay by tapping your card....

Ordered 2 breakfasts , they arrived with cold bacon ,eggs cooked so long that they were like rubber , sausage cold, fried bread dripping in cooking oil .... disgusting Morrison’s . Can I suggest you re train your staff to cook !

Waited 45 minutes for a breakfast it was terrible if you employ kids to cook don’t expect a good breakfast bacon was a millie second away from raw fried bread was stoggie black pudding brick hard won’t be back yuk

Small breakfasts are good value and easy to swap something you don't like (say tomato) to a second egg. Generally served quite quickly and hot. Drinks are serve yourself after ordering and paying

Called in at 4pm and ordered their quarter pound burger. NO burgers Really I ask you it was afternoon and quiet - such a disappointment

Waited 40mins for our food- a simple chicken avocado salad and a full breakfast. When it finally arrived the full breakfast looked yuk- reheated, bouncy ball egg and sausage and bacon that a chainsaw would struggle with!! My chicken strips looked deep fried and refried and i could not cut through them. So disappointing and after requesting a full refund there seemed no real care about the quality if food at all. Will not be back!

Firstly, this is a supermarket cafe across from a Travelodge and near a McDonalds, so curb your enthusiasm. Before you enter, you know full well it is a cafe attached to a super market. So that being said, expect a little chaos and some esoteric and eccentric staff. I had the 'Big Daddy Breakfast' which was precisely what I expected it to be; hot and edible. Secondly, the coffee is heinous though, practically a crime against human dignity. Lastly, the lady serving our food was jolly and bright, very amiable, we shared some gossip, she brightened up my morning. If you want a fairly priced breakfast in a supermarket cafe, you can't go wrong with this one.

Most of the time the service is good, but at peak times it can be chaotic due to lack of staff. The food is good and cooked to order. Staff can sometimes be a bit slow, or it may be down to lack of staff.

Once the main place for a filling, nicely cooked meal at decent prices this cafe has declined. Tried 3 times in the last 2 weeks.Fish and chips once crisp and dry with a decent potion now has to have a paper burger (?) wrapper placed on the plate to soak up the swimming grease. Purchased the 'mini' and normal size and while the normal size was a little undersized island in the middle of the plate the small 'mini' was a LARGER portion. Portion size is about half what it use to be. I wasn't aware there was a shortage of potatoes for making chips? And since when did you put the tartare sauce over the chips?Tried the Breakfast brunch (with chips) which was delivered to the table by a guy warning not to touch the plates as they were so hot (cloth used to hold them). Tried the food and found it to be cold (except for the fried eggs), as was the plate! 35 minutes from ordering to service and there was only 7 tables in use including ours. Staff seem to have only 2 speeds - slow and stop.- Tables were left for at least 45 minutes uncleared. (no tray trolley available for self clearing of tables)- Tables weren't wiped down - sticky and dirty- 1 self service order and pay machine out of order- 2nd self service machine would not scan 'More' card- of the 2 coffee machines - 1 remained out of order for the entire time we were there awaiting someone to clean out the grounds drawer, which led to a queue at the only machine available.- Coffee cups had rings around the inside, not washed correctly.I wouldn't want to visit during a busy period if this was the standard during the quiet time. Having tried this cafe 3 times with only 1 semi successful visit I would not recommend it and won't be visiting again.It has become such a disappointing cafe, having been a favourite in the past.

Went here for our tea about 6.00pm and had an enjoyable evening meal especially our dessert which was bread and butter pudding with ice cream. The restaurant was busy but we were quickly served.

It was a lovely place, light and airy, plenty of room to walk around, the food wasn't expensive and good value for money. It was easy to park and the staff were friendly.

My wife and I enjoyed an evening meal, and, a day later, lunch at Morrisons in Berwick.A very helpful member of staff showed us how to work the self-service meal selector on our first visit: from then on everything was first class.Over the course of the two days, we enjoyed between us a small breakfast, a steak pie, and two two cheese and onion quiches, along with a variety of drinks. The food was excellent, the portions were generous and it was brought to our tables.

Stopped off here for a coffee. Used the coffee bar rather than the main restaurant and it was OK. Service a little slow thanks to the cashier also making the coffees - a real nuisance. Only two customers in front of me yet, took 10 minutes to finally be served.Would go back but not if I am in a hurry.

I go to lot of Morrison's whenever on travels and this one is by far the best for the cafe food, was staying at travelodge across road and came here for breakfast , it was so tasty.hot.and huge , lovely service too

My husband and I always stop off at Morrisons on our travels from Scotland to England.Touch wood we never had a bad experience or bad meal.This time we had a snack.Pot of tea and muffins.Yummy fresh muffins.Staff are always friendly and helpful and the food is good.Toilets are always clean.

This is a pretty good place. The food Is decent. The place is absolutely humongous. Great to end a shopping trip.

Thought we'd give this cafe another try for breakfast. Ordered 2 veggie breakfasts which were served to us with meat sausage and bacon. Requested this was changed as it wasn't what we'd ordered(!!). After a wait, unappetizing breakfast presented with missing ingredients (1fried egg not 2 as the menu says) some dried up looking beans and a slice of ordinary brown toast (maltgrain baked in store offered on the menu). The exasperated (!!) assistant offered to cook it again, however we decided we'd sat for long enough on the first day of our weekend break and told her not to bother!Oh, and hubbys coffee was cool, and the table wasn't clean either!Get your act together Morrisons!

There is a Costa Style 'Barrista Coffee Bar' and a Morrisions Market Street Cafe on site. They are both clean and effecient and staff by friendly people.

My mam and I stopped here as part of a mini-break staying at the Travelodge across from the car park - an un-official service area for the A1. The breakfasts were good apart from the fact that the beans seemed to take up a third of the plate - toast was very good though. To order you could use the touch screen at the front of the cafe - but just like self-scan checkouts it's a lot easier if you see an actual person to do this! That includes using your More card and staff discount if any. The service was efficient and quick, but you need to get other things yourself like hot water from the machine, cutlery, napkins, etc.

Busy supermarked resturant just off the A1 near the England / Scotland border. Ideal for a rest with good food quick service. Benifits of supermaket for shoping and a petrol station.

Ideal for us as we stayed over the way in the Travel Lodge. Super set up for any breakfast taste - full english, yogurt, pastries, toast or cereals, all served with a smile. We often struggle to get food from services when travelling on the motorway - Morrison's could teach them a thing or two.

My husband and I always stop off at Morrisons to full up with fuel on our travels down south and back home to Fife.This time we had the afternoon tea and scone with half a sandwich.Scone and sandwich was fresh.Restaurant was clean.Staff always friendly.Toilets were clean.Highly recommended and will stop off again.(Couple of new sections in the morrisons since the last time we've been. It's only a supermarket and I dare say much like any other Morrisons, but we couldn't find anything we fancied in Berwick centre on the day of Storm Ali and somewhat in desparation ended up at Morrisons cafe on the edge of town.I went for the lamb shank and, well, it was rather good and certainly excellent value for money. My wife had the beef lasagne and was equally happy. (NB. We wanted to mix things up a bit after five nights DB&B at a hotel with a £40 table d'hote menu...)Moral: cheap and cheerful is often good too!

Stayed in the local area prior crossing to Holy Island. Due to kitchen refurbishment evening meals weren't available so popped into Morrisons café for a meal and some shopping. Fine and the curry was lovely. Got bits and pieces, fuel and went back to B&B.

Popped into Morrison's Cafe to pick up a couple of breakfast rolls whilst driving north. I had sausage bap and my partner had a bacon bap. I got the impression that they use cheap sausages for their breakfast as I was a bit disappointed. Otherwise the service and price was good.

A large Morrisons that does an excellent breakfast in their cafe for £5. great if you are travelling and need to stop.

Visited shortly before noon for lunch. Format was same as other stores with food choices good and reasonably costed. No complaints in that direction but we had to wait 35 minutes for the food to arrive once we had ordered and sat down. Several customers were complaining/enquiring why it was taking so long. Those with children were finding it hard to explain why they weren't eating. Despite the delay food was ok and remains good value.

My husband and I always stop off here when we are on our travels. Full up the car with fuel and then park for a snack.The toilets are always clean and so are the restaurant.I had the afternoon tea and scone.There was no scones on display only egg custard slices.I asked one of the staff members if there was scones as I do not like egg custard slices.No trouble at all within one minute she come out with a cream scone.My husband had the salmon and cucumber sandwich which was fresh and tasty. We will stop off here again.

Called in here on our way back home after a family wedding and decided to have something to eat here.We ordered a chicken and avocado salad and scampi and chips with 2 coffees.The coffee is self service and our meal quickly arrived.We both enjoyed our meals.

We stopped here for breakfast while travelling South in our motor home.There is lots of parking for motor homes or caravans.We both had the cooked breakfast (£4.70 each) with tea. The breakfast consisted of: 2 sausages, 2 bacon, 2 hash browns, fried egg, sliced mushroom, beans, 1/2 tomato & 1/2 slice of fried bread. The breakfast was good except it was tinned mushrooms not fried like in advertisement photo.Both the teapots and mugs were stained and need a better cleaning method.For the price it’s good value for money and I’m sure we would stop again if passing.

Went in last week. All the fizzy drinks on pump was off, coffee machine out of order, almost every table had old plates with left over food on them.The poor young lad that served me at the till was lovely bless him, he had a horrible large lady shouting at him from the kitchen area for everyone to hear.Ordered steak pie with mash & peas, AWFUL - The pie looked like a giant pork pie, was rock solid and the inside was cold, I had to chisel my way through the dry mash, it was disgusting. Had a few mouth fulls and walked away. This place needs more staff, nicer kitchen staff and better ingredients.Don't waste your time or money!!!

Morrisons store which has recently been extended and renovated is excellent. It has a superb range of food items, good fresh vegetables and much more besides including clothing and household goods. The cafe is very conveniently located at the front of the shop and is light and airy. My reaction to my first visit here is that it is just that - a spacious, basic cafe. It serves a good range of snacks and meals but I was disappointed I had to get my own coffee out of a machine and it certainly was not the greatest coffee in town!

We used the store for breakfast which was quick and handy.We were able to buy anything from cereal,yoghurt,toast and a variety of cooked meals.Help yourself to read and a choice of coffees.

Eaten here a few times and never disappointed, A quick bite before shopping on Saturday... omelettes for four quid and full up for the rest of the day, delicious.

After my last visit I met the manager today and after my last visit the meal was on them all I can say that the staff on today were so helpful and the food I had was well presented and hot as it should be. What a difference this was from my last visit, I came away happy and even got a thank you card to let them know what it meant to me.

Most hot meals are microwaved. Apart from that, clean toilets, great store, multiple choices and friendly staff, they will answer questions about the food and other products.I am a local and just love the vibe here, it is such a shame that the resaurant lets the rest of it down, there does not appear to be a supervisor overviewing health and safety and best practices.

Supermarket cafes tend to be supermarket cafes - the sheer volume of business often leaves them few options. But Morrisons seem to do their best - perhaps realising (as some other supermarkets in the area fail to do) that their cafe is a huge part of their PR.The food is better than supermarket average imho - in fact the last fish and chips I had there was better and cheaper than offerings from some local fast food shops.There are cons. It doesn't always pay to be in a hurry - possible a staffing matter that Morrisons need to think hard about, given that PR in such things is often as important as profit.Plus I wish they'd sort out the coffee arrangement - there's always a blockage at the machines.

You may have to wait a wee bit ( the new fangled fryers play up) but Their meals are worth it . Their fish and chips are better than the picture . Good selection of Coffee's and Tea's , every flavour catered for .Oh Yeah ! They cater for all Celiac and Gluton meals . Enjoy

This was a spur of the moment decision to eat in the cafeteria here at Morrison’s we both had different starters, I had prawn cocktail, and my partner had the pate, both were very good.The Christmas lunch was also good, with plenty of turkey and vegetables, where it went wrong for us was the desserts course, I had the cream mince pie, as this was cold I got this at the time of paying, my partner ordered the Christmas pudding with rum sauce, I think they forgot us, after a hour of arriving we still hadn’t got the pud, and had to ‘remind ‘ them a couple of times.The cafe was not especially busy so we’ll put this down to human error Cheap and cheerful good value food, yes we will use the cafeteria again.

Told “There’s a 1 hour wait” 😕🙁 Then drinks we ordered thrown in bin without letting us have them. But I still like the cafe even if the rest of us don’t! Morrisons is a great shop and all

Easy to park and a no frills service. The coffee is as good as Costa but half the price. Nice cakes and the food looked good, especially the breakfast.

Popped in here for our tea on the last night at Berwick, we eat in Morrisons cafes all over the place so know about the 2 for £11 MEALS WITH DRINKS. I had the Salmon/Hollandaiise with pots and Peas, and Partner had Lamb Shanks in Minted Gravy and mash . He reckoned the Lamb was very good but had to leave some Mash as it was gloopy and wallpaper paste like. I have the salmon dish quite often, BUT HERE I was shellshocked to see the size of the salmon...it was Miniscule...in fact the whole meal was...VERY DISAPPOINTING...Will eat elsewhere when in Berwick again..thats for sure.

Travelling south to Newcastle, stopped here for a break and a cup coffee and the statutory cake. Excellent service good price. Will be making the trip on a regular basis so will be calling in here again.

Nowhere else in St Abbs was open so we nipped down here for the big breakfast. Food was great and supplied at good speed. What more can you say?

Having a friend who comes from the south we visited Berwick and did some shopping then while in Morrisons decided to have a coffee and a sandwich the only downfall was that one of the coffee machines was not working so there was a long queue then that one stopped working however we eventually had our coffee and sandwich this did not give me the opportunity to give a good review as I was very disappionted with most things the staff were not at all friendly and when our food arrived after a long wait it was not what I would have expected from a reputable firm like Morrisons.

Went down the road from aberdeen and stopped here. Nice little cafe. Had fish and chips with kids having the kids meal. Clean and efficient and filled a hole.

We stopped off here as a sort of half-way point during our journey from England to Scotland.My daughter didn't want anything but I had a prawn mayonnaise sandwich which came with a few crisps, and I opted for a mixed slush - Vimto and blue raspberry.Service was pleasant enough.Quite a large seating area, and we noticed that they also have an outdoor seating area.We sat inside. The table we were at could have done with a wipe down.Food was okay, but the slush was more ice than anything else so a waste of money really on this occasion.No more than average I'm afraid for this visit.

Just off the A1 - fare better value and quality than services on A1. Plus you can do your grocery shopping if self catering. Great bacon sandwiches and coffee. Cheap petrol too.

Como normalmente no uso esta tienda tardó en moverse y encontrar todo lo que quería. El personal era genial, pero pensamos que la tienda era bastante desordenado y de negociar el tranvía ronda unos montones de cajas vacías. Estaba haciendo bastante bien hasta que quise cubitos de hielo. Busqué y busqué pero no pude encontrar ninguna. Paramos en el hotel Travelodge atravesando el camino y comprar algunos refrescos. . (el vino. . . . . . cerveza. . . . . patatas fritas. . ! ! ! ! .Todo el personal) que conocimos el viernes y el sábado eran todos amables y serviciales.El vino y la cerveza son en un enfriador cerca del pasillo de vinos.Perfecto.El desayuno en la mañana del sábado estaba caliente, fresco y abundante.¿Qué más se puede pedir?Ah, el cuarto de baño también estaba muy limpio y bien cuidado. (muy exigente? Sí, pero vale la pena estos wc mencionar. )

Obtienes lo que pagas y nunca es esta más a la realidad. Pescado y patatas fritas para el té como alojarse en el cercano hotel Travelodge. No estaba mal, buena relación calidad-precio. El único problema era pan y mantequilla era tan densamente distribuidas con mantequilla/margarina me hizo querer vom. No es de extrañar que muchos de los clientes eran muy grasas. El servicio era amable. Las mesas no estaban limpias y el suelo parecía algunos chimpancés tenían una fiesta de té.

Conducir desde Edimburgo hacia Yorkshire, paramos en Morrison en Berwick upon Tweed como mi padre necesitaba algo de comida (él es diabético). Ella era bastante grosero, re-establece la iteración en el tiempo de espera y muy arrogante de mis preocupaciones. Mi amigo luego intentó pedir una hamburguesa de queso y tocino - Susan mantuvo que el queso sin costo extra. Mi amigo indicó que este no fue declarado en el menú. Susan tomó un menú y abrió, apuntando al tipo incorrecto de hamburguesa. Mi amigo contestó que había ordenado la hamburguesa de queso y tocino y Susan me dijo: "bueno, no puedo decir que '.Aunque la comida era pasable, como es de esperar para un café, este morrison con su experiencia inicial en el servicio al cliente fue muy negativa. Went to Morrisons for breakfast, they start serving at 8am They cook your meal to order so you get it fresh and hot. Very tasty

Husband & I had lovely breakfast here whilst on holiday at Paxton House. We can also recommend the very tasty omelettes which we had for lunch one day. With the cheap prices we couldn't go wrong.

Usuario habitual de esta tienda. Justo en el by-pass road y es fácil llegar desde Northumberland y sur de lugares de Escocia. Gran selección de artículos en pasillos bien distribuido para comprar fácilmente. También hay un restaurante cafetería que es utilizado por los lugareños y los turistas.Mejor tienda en la ciudad y alimentos frescos que incluyen carnes, pizzas, ensaladas, pescado y encimeras de panadería no disponibles en cualquier otras tiendas.

Todas autoservicio era mucha variedad.El personal era muy amable, de hecho nos sentimos un poco de pena por ellos, que apenas tenía tiempo de coger su aliento, gestión quiere darle vergüenza, por no mencionar la larga colas de clientes malestar causó, no es culpa del personal de cafés, simplemente no era suficiente.La comida hacían el trabajo, de nuevo no era la manera en que estaba preparado era no tan buenas, por favor ingredientes barato DESHACERSE DE LOS CHAMPIÑONES enlatados.Los baños eran absolutamente repugnante. Lugar super para su compra semanal. Moderna y amplia tienda con una amplia variedad de comida y otros artículos y ropa.Luego entrad en el restaurante para una excelente relación en las comidas. Comer después de las 4:00 es una excelente relación calidad-precio y los niños comen gratis. Porciones super y su pescado y patatas fritas y judías o guisantes es absolutamente fantástica relación calidad-precio y gran sabor. También dos adultos comidas con té o café son un especial en £9. Sin duda merece la pena una visita.

Good clean honest well-priced food with wide selection and much cooked individually. We used it as A1 Services when on the road from Edinburgh to Newcastle – much better than the usual motorway services.
