Stopped off for breakfast and found automation had caught up with Morrisons, in the form of an automated ordering system. Finding our way around the screen wasn't quite as easy as big Mac and KFC equivalents but we did manage it, only just. Wanting to pay by cash, however, was even more difficult as the robot doesn't accept anything except credit cards so customer, much against the chagrin, had to use plastic. The breakfasts, when they arrived, was excellent and without doubt value for plastic.

Popped in for a quick lunch with my with and son after a long drive. There were 21 un-emptied tables some which had clearly been there for some time. We left decided it was probably safer to give our toddler a happy meal from the Macdonald's across the road. I'm sure this has nothing to do with the staff more likely the lack of them but a really disappointing experience.

Last time I visited was February 2023 and noted it should be a gold mine given the location. Unfortunately, I experienced the same lengthy wait for my meal which was not well cooked and and not good value for money. Shame there has been no improvement.

Ordered 2 small fish and chips but the fryer wasn’t working so we ordered the soup .No choice just tomato and basil ,soup arrived within 20 minutes along with a roll and butter. It was the most awful soup I’ve ever seen , apart from being cold it looked like it had been poured from a tin of plum tomatoes and mashed up I needed a fork and knife to eat it as it was so thick. It tasted awful, before covid ,the meals in Morrisons were good ,but they have gone downhill since they changed their menu, sorry but we won’t be going back.

NOISY!!! UNBEARABLE. Cold food, half hour wait for food. Staff shouting. Kids running in the aisles. Treated like cattle.

Popped in to Morrisons for some supplies at the start of our holiday, and enjoyed a light lunch while we were there. Very friendly and cheerful staff, great customer service, and the coffee and lunch wasn't bad either!

If I had opportunity I would not even rate this experience as it was so bad. Avocado and eggs on toast - frozen avocado mix, nothing like advertised. Coffee like dish water - even with extra shot of coffee, actually left out coffees Full English breakfast - 2 types of baked beans served on plate, you could tell by the colour Staff are unfortunate to deal with this as it is obvious a standard send down by HQ. Seriously Morrisons you need to sort this out.. in the end went to Costa coffee as it was so bad.

There was one particular member of staff named Mathew who was outstanding. He was kind and thoughtful He went out of his way to find me a clean cup among the dozens, and he carried the tray for an elderly couple who were frail and needed help

We travel to Yorkshire from Scotland regularly and Morrisons Berwick is such a convenient place to stop for fuel, shopping and toilets but I only wish somebody would get a grip of the cafe. It takes too long a time out of your journey to get hot food and it still doesn't taste freshly made. Our next stop was a packed Wotherspoons pub and we got our steaks in minutes. Under the right management and with good systems this place would be a Gold Mine.

Ok, so we hadn't bothered having much for breakfast why ... because we knew that an hour or so down the road we could pull in with our motorhome to the car park on the north side of Berwick and indulge in a tasty but inexpensive brunch! Serving fresh breakfast items from 8am till 3pm is definitely a bonus as most places tend to stop on or before 12 noon! They are even helpful enough to put the calorie counts to allow healthy choices OR NOT ... Served by cheerful staff in bright surroundings - what's not to like?! It looked like a new menu with some interesting lunch & tea options too so we plan to visit our local Morrisons to check them out!

The cafe prices are ludicrous. £3.45 for a toasted tea cake with barely any fruit in it is ridiculous as is a fiver for two cups of tea and £9 for a cooked breakfast!! The staff are not the most pleasant either. Sadly the shop and garden centre prices are way off the scale too compared to most other garden centres. Definitely would not recommend or revisit.

Called in at lunchtime for a couple of drinks. This is the second time but no more. A man, the same on both occasions standing at bar had the foulest loud mouth He was actually talking to the barman and two others Every other word began with "f' He had a dog with him This time he pulled seat out at one of the tables for his dog to sit at Absolutely disgusting. My husband mentioned to barman who grinned and apologised Not good enough

Nice little hotel bar right on the Main Street of Alnwick I had drink several times during our stay in Alnwick. Margaret had the chilli which she said was nice. I wasn’t hungry so had the potato skins which came with a barbecue sauce and garlic mayo, which were ok but out of a bottle.

Popped in for lunch on a day over to Lindisfarne. Despite advertising that they cater for gluten free, a disappointing menu. When I asked at the bar if they do anything gluten free, the barman said that anything gluten free will have GF after it on menu, but they can do any sandwich with gluten free bread. There were no meals suitable on menu, so I went back to bar and asked if their spread was dairy free. Barmaid gives a big sigh and goes to check. Comes back to say yes it is, what do you want- like it was a big inconvenience for her. It’s not my husbands fault that he has allergies. Such attitude makes me wonder how anyone goes back here. Sarnie was ok but they didnt seem to do it separate to normal food as hubby found a bit of grated cheese attached to his bread. If he hadn’t spotted it, he would have been I’ll. overpriced too as the bread was just normal sliced bread. WONT BE GOING BACK!
