The best restaurants serving British food in London

For me, as lovely as the staff are, it's not a great restaurant. It's very outdated, and it needs a massive revamp and a massive clean. It could be a wonderful place to get food, but it needs a proper in-depth. Makeover, clean new menu end more customer Focused.Unfortunately the restaurant is stuck in the 80s at the moment I do hope this restaurant gets a proper revamp before it's too late and we lose a great place in the community

Friendly small place to have a nice cup of coffee.

We both had the pie & mash bowl with 1/2 beef gravy & 1/2 “liquor” (a greenish gravy) & we loved it. The owner was very personable and proud of the reputation she’s built over the decades. It was the best local fare we had in London and also the most affordable meal during our stay. But bring CASH. No cards are accepted.

Lovely little cafe doing good tasty brunches

we was recommended to go to The Cleveland Arms by a girl who was running and had had to stop at the traffic lights. She said it was a place she used and the food was good. We all had the roast beef dinner. The beef was absolutely perfect, in fact beautiful to eat and so tender. The staff were so friendly and he was either the Manager/Owner ..... had an accent, was so attentive to detail and ensured the new girl who was taking orders and delivering food to the tables laid the plate correctly and facing a certain way to the customer. Yes, it is a little out of the way but what a gem. So pleased we was told about it and would definitely return if in Paddington again.

I want to say a big thank you! It’s really a great place with tasty and big dishes, friendly and high-skilled team. Tasty coffee and all drinks too We tried smoothie, coffee , breakfast #3 , big omelette with salmon, and salad with avocado. It was excellent, chef and his team are a great professionals! 100% will come Back here❤️

Lovely baristas and best coffee on the block. Atmosphere is relaxing and the fire place is a lovely bonus in the chilly months. 10/10 coffee shop!

Fab spot. Both pub and restaurant is wonderful, with extremely pleasant and kind staff. The food was delicious. We had a great time and can't wait to return.

If you are looking for specialty coffee, you found it. The barristas make great espresso. My wife enjoyed her cappucino. I had the Racer from Rwanda. Bought a pack to brew at home.

Hack & Hop has been one of the frequent after work watering holes however it has gone downhill over the last few years. It has a nice upstairs area that can be booked for small private events. Food: The menu has become a lot more limited and my favourite pork belly is no longer an option. Drink: Like the food, the Hack & Hop used to have a drinks board with a range of different craft beers on tap. Nowadays the selection is much more limited with the same beers that are at all the other nearby pubs. Service: Generally good although can be hit and miss depending on how busy it is. Price: Hack & Hop has always been slightly more expensive than other nearby pubs. This used to be compensated for the different selection of beers on tap but is now a slightly overpriced version of any other pub. Conclusion: Still a good solid pub and a great place to get a pint. It is slightly pricier than other nearby pubs but it is also a bit quieter which can make for a more enjoyable experience.

Don’t bother with this hotel, there are nicer hotels in London. Rooms very small, instant coffee, chilly room with no heat. Shower is hot then cold (not a nice experience. Breakfast buffet not with the price.

First time ever with Glade fisheries, we ordered a large Cod, it came the same size has a small Cod when we've ordered before. Normally the large Cod is a lot lot bigger. it was also very crispy and not cooked to normal standard. the crab claws were lovely as usual. sorry such a poor review. First time ever we have been disappointed.

Keep trying thinking the average or below average meals are a one off. Today was the last straw, hubby got us a meal of haddock and chips. The chips were horrible as of double fried or old, the haddock was not fresh. It had an awful smell . They gsve us a generous portion but unfortunately it was inedible! Not going back. It’s not hard to provide fresh and tasty fish and chips , so we’re not bothering again!
