Based on previous great reviews, we walked quite a way to find this cafe as an alternative to our hotel breakfast. We were not disappointed. Not cheaper than a Premier Inn breakfast but food quality, amount, freshness was all great. Would go again if in the area.

Great Place you must try the milk shakes we love love them been there 6 times now and will continue to do so can not recommend this place enough. Open early stays open late 7am to 10pm. Wow! Went there for breakfast on both the Saturday and Sunday. Sat outside - heater available if required, fast, friendly and fantastic staff helped with advice re the menu and the changes that were asked. The breakfasts were outstanding! A variance of traditional English breakfasts were provided and all cooked exceptionally. Great value and sets you up for the day! Will re-visit when back in London. A must visit!

Visited Becks for breakfast on our first morning in London…ended up eating breakfast there two more times as the first visit was so good. Had a large cooked breakfast with a cappuccino and I can’t fault it at all, really good quality ingredients cooked perfectly. My partner had the same with a cup of tea and tells me the tea was also lovely. I had the American breakfast on a further visit and that was also top notch, all the staff were friendly and chatty which isn’t often the case in London in my experience. I didn’t eat lunch or dinner here but the options on display in the cabinet looked great.

Been coming here for fifteen or more years, and my first visit post-Covid was not disappointing. The same friendly, welcoming environment and excellent, ‘what-you-see-is-what-you-get’ food at a modest cost. If you’re anywhere near and need a straightforward lunch or dinner, you need to look them up.

Good service and friendly staff. However, the Fish part of the fish and chips was dubious to say the least. Tasted almost inedible; like it was very cheap, covered in thick stodgy batter, had been frozen for a while and then warmed up in the microwave. Strongly advise to avoid that particular meal. Our friend ordered the Shish and that looked and tasted lovely!

We were looking for a place for a light snack and a drink and Wow! did we luck out! The staff were friendly and very efficient. The food was excellent, freshly cooked and served hot and the coffee first class. And all at a very reasonable price especially considering the area. If we are nearby again this is where we will make a beeline for and I would unreservedly recommend it.

Had already chosen this place to grab a bite to eat on our day trip to the Dicken's Museum. The London cabbie said Beck's cafe was popular in the evenings with the cabbies. A good sign. We got there and were met with friendly staff. I ordered an English Breakfast and mom got jam on toast with tea. All arrived promptly and the food was good. The police department is just down the road as evidenced by the number of bobbies dropping in for a bite. Another good sign. There is also a downstairs dining area.

Fabulous friendly service. The menu was very varied and all three dishes we had were enjoyed by our group. Not bad prices either.

One of the things we wanted to make sure we did while visiting the UK was to have a full proper English breakfast and this place absolutely delivered! We got full English breakfasts with toast and a coffee for such a reasonable price and the food was great quality. This spot also had really good vibes and the staff were super friendly (and patient with our accents!). We would definitely recommend

Went here for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised on quality and quantity of food supplied. Nothing was a bother and food was cooked exactly how it was requested Only slight niggle was service is included on final bill, but apart from that, will definitely go again if I am in that area.

Stayed in the Premier Inn (literally a 30 second walk). The food was absolutely incredible. We went for breakfast here every morning because it was so good. Staff were excellent with us and were very friendly to the kids. Would 100% recommend! I went with the tried and tested fry up. Kids loved their pancakes and the other half had their omelettes. Awesome!

On cherchait un lieu typique pour prendre un English Breakfast, Beck's Café ne nous a pas déçu : c'est dans son jus et dans la caricature de ce que l' on imagine:nappe carreaux Vichy usée, le café est servi au mug et le thé est à préciser sans lait si vous l'aimez nature. Pas la peine de déjeuner le midi, le petit dej est très copieux, il en reste même dans l'assiette! On est dans l'authentique, et on se sent un peu british le temps de ce repas, et non en touriste...

Terrible, dirty, little place. The food was cold and tasteless, portions very large but poor quality, got sick from it for a few days, definitely avoid it. Extremely slow service.

Great English breakfast! Meats are well cooked and it’s cheap: perfect combo. You’ll find an informal atmosphere, because it’s just a café, but food is great and you can seats as well.

I have dined at Beck's cafe numerous times now. Always wanting to try something new on menu as there is plenty of options and all portions are a generous size. Staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive to your needs.

Walked down to Beck’s from our hotel - great location, just off main roads and bus stops. Huge menu selection, but everything we ordered was delicious; fish & chips, shepherds pie, pork chop, bbq chicken, etc. I even went back later for waffles & ice cream!

We had a bacon roll and a cuppa here - both good. The menu is huge and the choices immense. There were quite a few people eating here, which is a good sign. Checked table cloths and theatre memorabilia on the walls. There is also a restaurant downstairs, which wasn't being used at the time. Good toilets - nice and clean. I read a previous reviewer who said his wife couldn't find anything she liked to eat other than toast and jam - this is incredible as I have rarely seen such an extensive menu in any cafe!

If you want plain and simple food at very reasonable prices this is the place. We called in here on our way out for the evening, about 4.30pm. I had shepherds pie, my partner had gammon, both freshly and plentiful.

We stayed in the Holburn Premier Inn recently and happened to notice Becks Cafe on our way to the hotel. We were attracted by the traditional cafe look of the place, it has no airs or graces. On checking the menu it had just the right variety of snacks and dishes for lunches and breakfast, from burgers to English Breakfasts. Between us we had a chicken pitta (massive amount of chicken) and various paninis, all beautifully cooked and very tasty. The arrival of the food was a bit chaotic, some well ahead of others, however, that was never enough to spoil the meal. Thoroughly enjoyable - and we would return any time.
