Absolutely delicious breakfast fantastic brew friendly staff reasonably priced one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had

Two tired old ladies, and one tired old man popped in here by pure chance today, and it was a very busy (30th May) lunchtime. What a lovely family run the cafe, who couldn't do enough to get us seated, and make us comfortable, although we were complete strangers to them. Service was brilliant, cafe and toilets were spotlessly clean, and the food was really good. Would recommend Cafe 338 to any and everybody. On a score of 1-10, we give them 11!!!! Thank you again from Betsy, Sharon and Michael (of Ilford).

Queue at the ever popular Pellicci’s next door was too long so we went to this ‘innit’ Cafe (which I had frequented before and it was decent enough). The food was lazily prepped (fried eggs solid-hard-beef sausage (that I did not request) absolutely tasteless-plastic, saltless, machine-oven style chips). Teenage joint for undemanding, confused tourists (pancakes + fry-up on same, rectangular plate). Cannot fathom how the reviews are decent but then most of the audience here are X Factor types. I remember when this place was taking custom from neighbouring Pellicci's, but no longer. I had to go to the Beigel Bake for a Salmon/Cream Cheese to get the revolting flavours from my mouth! So long as this place supports the geezer/bro, fried wing wing loving clientele, they will survive. Just that they cannot do fry-ups-Jesus...even the photos (from happy reviewers) look rank! Definitely will find somewhere else next time.

Family owned place with hands down one of the best english breakfasts in London. Lots of variety on the menu with the option of also picking your own choices and create your own English breakfast. They also have sweet breakfast, with a good selection of pankakes. Nice personnel, good prices. Definitely recommended.

We were looking for a nice baked potato for lunch on our last day of a week in London. We arrived just after noon and were shown to a table. I had a baked potato with Chilli and my wife had one with tuna. Both were generous portions served with s freshly-prepared salad. It’s so nice to have simple ingredients well prepared, served efficiently by a friendly staff! Everything was clean, orderly and ideal for a quick lunch. Recommended!

We were looking for somewhere reasonable to eat and didn't fancy the normal burger / chicken experience. Viewed the menu in the window and a good selection of straight forward no nonsense food. Cafe was about 1/2 full and all the food being served looked good. We both had omelette and what a plate full. Both omelette were full of taste and filling. Well worth a try and very good value for money. Staff we all great and all extremely helpful.

I stopped for lunch by chance in the neighborhood, the restaurant looked simple and welcoming, and I don't regret it at all. My english breakfast was very good and the staff friendly.

Full English breakfast at this cafe is amongst the best I've discovered in London. Sausages and bacon are delicious here and I'm very impressed with the toast! Various breakfast options available which include toast and tea/coffee. Value for money is really great, many cafes in London don't include tea/coffee with the breakfast. Cafe is close to Bethnal Green (Central Line) Underground station, easy short walk. Tables are clean and toilets downstairs are very clean too. Absolutely recommend coming here for a full English breakfast!

Almost every week I go there for breakfast, it's perfect value for money. And everything is always good and freshly made. I love it, it's one of my favourite places in London.

Very disappointing. Ordered a takeaway panini - there was no where to stand and wait, kept being barged out the way. Waited over 15 minutes for a panini (which really wasn’t very nice at all). Rude staff, poor quality food and very over charged

Was looking forward to this after all the positive reviews I had read,but was amazingly disappointed. Food was average at best, and most of it was just mediocre. The staff doesn't seem to want to be bothered worth actually talking to you. And after an incident where a blocked sauce bottle erupted putting brown sauce all over me, my food and everything 2 feet to my left including the floor, the staff didn't even bother to help. I had to ask for a cloth and some paper towels, and it seemed like just an inconvenience. I'd rather go to wetherspoons!

Lo conocí por casualidad, lo típico que pasas, ves mucha cola y te preguntas: que hace toda esa gente ahí? Regalan algo? Un día me decidí a entrar y desde entonces soy infalible. Los precios son inmejorables, todo riquísimo, remiendo el menú 4 (unas tortitas con sirope de arce para chuparse los dedos) y la atención bastante buena también. Si sois de los que no os gusta sentarse a comer con otras personas, puede que sea un punto negativo, ya que si vais a las horas más “busy” tendréis que compartir mesa con otros comensales.

Abbiamo trovato questo posto su TripAdvisor e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Devo ammettere che da fuori non invoglia ad entrare, ma se si fa caso a quanto sia sempre affollato, sia da persone locale che da turisti, ed alle portate si è subito curiosi ed invogliati ad entrare. Il personale è gentile, cortese e disponibile. il posto è adatto a tutti non importa se da soli o in famiglia. Inoltre, il cibo servito è ottimo ce n’è un ampia scelta che soddisfa sia chi vuole una semplice colazione dolce sia chi è alla ricerca della tradizionale colazione inglese. Unica pecca forse che accettano solo contanti. In generale però ci siamo trovati benissimo, una colazione strepitosa tanto che siamo tornati anche il giorno dopo!

Visité este café la semana pasada durante dos días seguidos mientras estuve en Londres. El primer día comí el desayuno inglés, que era un precio tan bueno para lo que recibes, muy abundante y muy grandes. El segundo día recibí una papa con una chaqueta de atún que debo admitir que no pude terminar. Vine con una ensalada grande y encantadora. Sólo tuvimos que esperar 5 minutos para que nos sentaran y el personal era muy amable. Café encantador y muy ocupado ambiente encantador.

Vi letade länge och väl efter en bra pub för att äta en riktigt English breakfast och hittade istället för en pub Café338. Litet, trångt, slamrigt och hög ljudnivå men fantastisk frukost till ett lika fantastiskt pris. Låt inte lokalen lura er, det ser lite sunkigt och trångt ut men det är värt det. Det var kö så vi fick vänta lite men i max 15 min. Det finns hur mycket som helst att välja på, allt från färdiga paket till att sätta ihop sin egen frukost.

Se encuentra muy cerca de la estación de bethnal green, así que está genial si vas a visitar Brick Lane. El restaurante tiene mucho encanto y el trato por parte de camareros y cocineros (se ve la cocina) es inmejorable. La mezcla perfecta de turistas y familias londinenses tomando el mismo desayuno.

Went here for breakfast and was looking forward to my £7 breakfast pancakes with a drink. Pancakes were a bit too small for me but my daughters full English was ample for the cost.

Overall: will come again, possible to pay with card, tasty, relatively cheap. Atmosphere is lively for such a small place. You might have to wait a few minutes to get a table.

After having the hotel breakfast for the first morning of our stay we ventured out to Bathnal Green and found this wonderful cafe. The breakfast offering was fantastic and the presentation of the food exceptional. Not to mention the coffee was top notch.

Soy italiano y el salado y fuerte desayuno inglés podía ser demasiado para mí, ya que prefiero comer dulces en la mañana. Pero para un Brunch del domingo, Almuerzo en un ambiente típico de Londres es el lugar perfecto! El precio y la calidad de la comida me impresionó más, tuve un desayuno inglés completo. (salchichas, bacon, champiñones, tostadas, café, huevos + un jugo de naranja fresco y pagué alrededor de 7 libras! ! ! ! ! Pero hay muchos puedes elegir incluso opciones para vegetarianos. La pena y el personal es muy agradable! Volveré pronto

Popped in for Sunday Breakfast as forgot that Pellicci's was closed. Had full breakfast and was disappointed. Obviously they were in a rush to cook the sausages as they were cut in half and then cooked! You don't serve sausages like that it's poor! The breakfast was bland and poor and certainly not worth the money. Just plain lazy cooking!

I've been for breakfast here a week ago. The place is very small for this sometimes, especially if you are in a group, there will be a bit of waiting to sit down but it is absolutely worth it. The menu offers various types of breakfast from salty to sweet or both. They are very large portions and the prices are absolutely low between 5/6 pounds. Very kind and helpful staff. I recommend it to everybody!

Menú de desayuno excelente, todos los clásicos en inglés, además de bandejas pancake combinando una gran variedad de opciones tradicionales, además de dos sabrosas tortitas con sirope de arce y fruta fresca, todo en una placa-únicamente inspirado!
