I'm very disappointed by the quality of the food! I bought a slice of carrot cake today and I was so shocked of what I have been given as soon as I opened the box. The carrot cake was very dry and old! The icing was yellow and cracked! You could see immediately that it was not fresh at all! So so disappointing. I would not recommend this place! They really need to start looking after treating their customers better. Food that is either close to the expiration date or no longer at peak quality is unfit to sell!!! They should stop selling expired food immediately!!!

OK so there was a few events going on at the Excel centre any maybe the staff were rushed but that’s no excuse for what can only be described as the worst chicken sandwich in the world. One thick tomato slice, chicken that had zero flavour and over cooked. A slice of onion as an after thought. I would put a quarantine sign around this place it’s that bad. Staff are OK but the owner / manager needs to look at the quality of the food being served especially at the extortionate prices they are charging. If it’s a choice of staying hungry or eating here stay hunger. It’s the safer choice. Avoid at all costs and look for something else.

Terrible chips that should have gone straight in the bin instead of being served to long standing customers We ordered a large fish, Southern fried chicken and savaloy which were okay but the chips were inedible and dried out with age.

Great coffee, friendly staff, good selection of goodies! Edit... I have tried the gluten-free free toastie! It's mozerzarella & and pesto, and it is yummy! It's a little tough around the edges, but I'll take it!

Only a corporate fast food chain. Comparable to Pret or Leon. Or like Greggs but with middle–class graphic design. I don't find their existence terribly offensive, but I'm seriously offended that they thought Stoke Newington needed a Gails. It's an awful idea. In case you're in the Stokey area, a few tips: Every bakery on the street has better bread and pastries Every cafe on the street has better coffee Despite this, Gails is easily the most expensive bakery/cafe on the street Gail's makes sense in Central London or at an airport. It doesn't make sense in Stoke Newington. They should actually shut it down.

I was in here for a drink with friends and girl friend .we was so happy this was going to be open again but when we got here there was an irsh man here that walked around like he owned the place and gave us no respect we was not happy on the other hand there was a black guy he told us his name was Roy he treated us with so much respect yes we have a reputation for being bad but on this occasion he come and sat with us and made friends like we was human and like he was not scared of us but in our culture we stick to our own but i have to say he desolated the situation with the other management by just talking like he knows our background and wants to get to know his customers if this not had happened with Roy it would have been a different situation Roy we all love you keep up the good work will be down tomorrow .the other manager just wants to fight and just thinls hes hard .Roy showed us there are ways to dealing with management in different ways .
