This place has now permanently closed with the owners opening a new business in a similar location at Westfield London, the new business is now called "Catch Me". They have changed the menu entirely so it's not just a name change but an entire makeover.

Når vi er i London, så skal vi også lige forbi Chips+Fish. De laver simpelthen bare en god fisk med pommes frites og portionerne er store og priserne rimelige.

Tenía ganas de probar este lugar por un tiempo y me sentí terriblemente decepcionado. Nunca suelo dejar comentarios, pero esta vez me siento obligado a hacerlo.Casi 15 para pescado, papas fritas y ensalada, lo que estaría bien si el pescado fuera de un tamaño decente. La suela tenía menos de 1 cm de grosor, 5 cm de ancho y aproximadamente 12 cm de largo. No estoy seguro de si diría que era insípido o que solo quiero lo suficiente para probar. Las patatas fritas y ensalada eran encantadores y los guisantes blandos eran sosos. He comido un montón de lenguado, así que sé qué esperar. No recomendaría comerlo aquí.

Cenamos una vez en Chip+Fish y si bien la comida era rica las porciones son muy chicas para lo que valen.

My daughter and I decided to have something to eat whilst we were at Westfield and decided to try Chip +fish as there were things we both could eat. I had the grilled salmon which was lovely and she had the calamari (spelt wrong) both were very nice, good size chips and a reasonably priced meal £20 for the two of us.They do get busy and we were given a pager but didn't have to wait too long for our food. Staff were friendly and the area was clean and tidy.

volume of service means the fishes are more batter than fish to make them look bigger, the chips are adequate at the best but at least the microwaves mushy peas are as expected..

Myself and a friend visited here whilst shopping at Westfield on a trip to London. We were firstly quite impressed with the cost as 'London prices' tend to be on the expensive side when you're visiting from the Midlands.The outlet is one where you order and are given a pager when you pay and then you get yourself seated until the pager goes off. The service in relation to this and all other aspects was really good. The food was cooked in a timely manner and was really tasty.The only thing I would say was a bit strange was when I ordered some bread and butter, I expected to get that, but instead, I got a sliced white roll/batch/cob (delete as appropriate, depending on the region you are from) to butter myself. It was a bit dry and a bit odd.Other than that, we were impressed and enjoyed our meal. I had scampi and my friend had cod. All meals like that come with chips and a side order of mushy peas.Staff were pleasant and friendly, and the outlet was clean and tidy.

This is the remaining branch of Chip & Fish which used to straddle both Westfields before the Stratford branch closed. At Shepherd’s Bush within the main food court on today’s evidence it was still going strong selling the likes of fish cakes, cod, haddock and chips with mushy peas or salad. The haddock I chose was a slightly stringy portion but with crispy batter. Chips and mushy peas were fine. It was nice to be able to accompany it with a pint of Meantime Red on draught. It was served after a short wait its arrival announced by flashes and bleeps on miscellaneous plastic device no. 9 with which I had been provided.

We ate at this shop 3 times. The fish and chips was tasty and my son loved the grilled salmon and fish. They give you a beeper when you order so you can sit down while your food is cooked. Great service too.

I asked what was safe for coeliacs. None of the staff could agree what was gluten free. Decided upon salmon and salad to be safe. The ‘salad’ was just some old brown chopped lettuce. It’s was disgusting. And £10. I won’t be back.

I ordered halibut and chips. Pea stew was addition to meal. I have to say this restaurant did it perfectly. The restaurant was located at the Gigantic Westfield shopping center at Shephards Bush Market.

It’s not that we haven’t had fish and chips before. But we hadn’t in London.

So after seeing how their battered fish was being fried i.e. literally no marination and simply out of the bulk bought fish soaked in batter and fried for a short time only to get the batter fried - we decided to go for grilled salmon thinking it'd be slightly healthier and perhaps tasteful. However, it was a waste of money and waste of our precious half an hour (spent in the queue)! The salmon was sooooo bland and felt like simply boiled! Glad there was some vinegar and sauce to give it some taste! After I saw someone getting a spare sauce on the side, I decided to do the same and asked if I could get an extra sauce to which I was asked to pay extra and then asked why should I give you an extra? Why are the customers treated differently?!?!?

Visited Chip+Fish at Westfield Shepherds Bush and my 84 year old mother tried to pay for our order but they refused to accept Scottish £20 notes - their first excuse was that the notes were out of date. When we explained they had come fresh out of a bank machine in Scotland that morning, they still refused to accept them and said they couldn't take them as they couldn't pay them into their own bank - which as we all know is an absolute load of rubbish as they are legal tender - so my advice- avoid this restaurant if you are Scottish in case of being insulted by their ignorance. PS food was basic - and you can get much better value and flavour in one of other many food outlets.

We had calamari here and i have never eaten such a bad quality calamari in my life. It was very tasteless and chewy

My husband and I with our 2 grandchildren ate here last week. The fish was freshly cooked and was ready in next to no time. Excellent quality. Would finitely eat there again.

I’ve never been to this restaurant before today but I had a craving for fish and chips so I thought I’d give it a go. The lady who took my order was rude and impatient as I looked over the menu even though there was no one in line besides me. She seemed annoyed I hadn’t been here before and didn’t know things like if the fish and chips come with sauces. They don’t by the way. I found it hard to eat the fish without tarter sauce. I would normally go and ask for some but with the way the cashier lady acts it’s not worth it. As for the fish, it is the worst fish I’ve ever had. I got the cod. It is either just crappy fish or it’s over done. The meat doesn’t hold up at all. It just falls apart in a bunch of tiny stringy manner in my mouth and the batter has zero flavor. Half the fries were over done and half were soggy. The best thing about this meal is the coke I ordered. You probably couldn’t pay me to eat here again. I’ve had much better fish and chips for half the price.

This is a fun restaurant. Had the breaded calamari strips and they were great. Staff at the counter was really friendly and will visit again soon...

The Front of House member of staff did not seem to speak any english (as was the case last time I ordered here) and both times it was a real struggle to order. That being said, on both occasions the orders came out quickly and were correct.

Nice big portion fish was very good and the salad too. Fast food in the food court but good enough. Scrimp I did not try,

Whilst I appreciate the queues would be a little longer due to it being a busy shopping day (between Xmas and NY), having to wait 45 minutes in a food hall for a portion of fish and chips and a kid's portion of cod bites and chips is not acceptable.

Everything is bad! Awful service, waiter speaking Italian with friends when serving me. Food with no taste at all. Cod, tasteless. Sweet potato tasteless. Calamari dry, burned and tasteless. I’ve got 4£ fish and chips much much better.

We ordered a chip butty (a surprise to see it on the menu), the fish cakes and chips and a coleslaw. All were enjoyed. Ample chips came with the butty. There were 3 lightly battered fish cakes and ample chips. The coleslaw although nice could have done with a bit more flavour. All food was freshly cooked, definately a bonus. Friendly and quick service.

Pedí un plato que, sabiendo que el pescado está bien basado en pedidos anteriores, pero en esa visita, a recoger la comida al personal poner el recibo de papel sobre la comida, lo que me parece ser grosero y inapropiado! Después de hablar con él, este muchacho nego hacerlo así!

Ich habe Calamari Streifen, Pommes und ein Wasser bestellt und Ketchup 'gratis' dazu bekommen. Alles zusammen für 8 Pfund, was, wie ich finde, ein guter Preis war. Die Pommes war lecker und eine ausreichende Portion. Die Calamari waren lecker zubereitet. Hier hätte ich allerdings mit ein bisschen mehr gerechnet. Im Endeffekt war es genug, aber mehr wäre halt einfach schöner gewesen.

Uno de los pocos lugares donde fish n chips gaving después no sensación abrumadora. El bateador era perfectamente hecho y no grasosa. Las patatas fritas eran geniales. No me gustó el puré de guisantes. Además, el hecho de que tienen sobrecitos de ketchup estaban molestos. Con dedos aceitosa, difícil de abrir. Los camarones Fritos eran excelentes. Precio muy razonable.

Fue genial, no con un recubrimiento grasiento. Que fry por separado de cualquier otra cosa que es bueno! El servicio era un poco lento. De todos modos lo recomiendo para el pescado y patatas fritas! clásico

I'd been craving good fish and chips after a fairly lacklustre experience at Southend on sea - so I thought I'd try this place, its 9.50 for a meal so it MUST be at least standard right? The fish was overcooked and the chips were dry and lukewarm, and in fact the mushy peas actually helped to make it taste better! (Not that it tasted any good on its own either) It's the first time I've been this disappointed in fish and chips. The vinegar bottle is actually pretty useless too, it just squirts out ten loads in one go (I'm an apt vinegar squirter, I swear!) Go anywhere in that food court but this place, because sometimes the things that are more expensive... are worse.

I made the mistake of not following the advice I'd actually read regarding this restaurant chain. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE, THE TERRIBLE REVIEWS ARE TRUE!!I went to the one in Westfield Shepherds Bush, London as I hadn't eaten all day and fancied fish and chips.I should've realised from the moment the guy at the counter waved me along as I was apparently standing at the wrong place even though he had been stood there talking to a friend when I arrived.The guy behind the counter (I won't name him even though his name is on my receipt) clearly had ZERO customer service skills and was so abrupt I nearly walked away. If I could turn back time I should've just walked away at that point.I ordered haddock and chips which came with mushy peas, tartare sauce and mushy peas which cost £9.50.He took my order and just left a gadget on the counter which bleeps when your order is ready. There was no explanation, no thank you or any niceties or instructions.When my order was ready they could see I was there waiting but made no effort to pass me the food. Once again nothing was said when I eventually got my order, not even have a nice meal or enjoy your food.The food itself as a meal was AWFUL, the mushy peas tasted off and were inedible. The chips were mostly like offcut chips e.g. small, crunchy bits of nothing. The only thing nice was the fish itself.PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE!! This chain has awful reviews for a reason, it is AWFUL!! Even worse though was the appalling customer service which was shocking. I will NEVER GO BACK!

After a long day of seeing clients all over town I had to do some quick shopping at the Westfield Mall. Being very hungy I decided to go for some good old fish and chips. But what I got just wasn't that good. I ordered fish and chips and I found the chips to be semi raw and together with the ok fish to be a small portion overall.

After waiting some 15 minutes for our food, I found it to be overrated. I thought the fish came in a rather small portion with the chips overflowing the plate. The fish tasted rather bland. Overall, I didn't think it had good value for money.

Very busy fast food outlet. Had to wait 15 minutes just to take my order. All I wanted was some Calamari strips and a coke. After paying for a family of 5 £23 pounds for an assortment was given a buzzer device and sat down waiting. After 20 minutes excited to finally eat went to go and pick up the meals. Was only then told 'we are out of calamari'. Now having run a restaurant myself I understand this can happen. It was the waiting then being told that really got my goat. If the management can't handle a fast food restaurant timing and stick quota. Don't let the customers wait like this. Not happy cancelled my order and got a cash refund. No apology. Will never eat here again.

Been their few times with family and they do kids make as well you can chose between fish and chiken and they said it's halal with kids male they do give you free ice cream adult prices are bit pricey service is good

We decided to eat there as it was Friday and on a Friday we always have a fish. This was the biggest mistake ever!!!!Fish came very oily and undercook. In the middle my fish it was a bit raw. Chips dry and cold Tartare sauce was from the packet The staff member who served us forgot to give us the mash and when we went there to ask for it he just look at us and even didn't bother to apologise. Very poor customer service. I would never go again.£9.50 was way to much for this dish.

Walked past here on my way home and saw this place and really craved some proper chips, so ordered the hot dog and chips, asked what kind of sausage it was, was told pork sausage, when I tried to explain if it was real sausage or frankfurter, I was greeted with a grunt, ordered regardless, then had my receipt and some kind of pager chucked at me then she proceeded to serve someone else in the same manner that I had been treated. As far as the food was concerned I can't really say much about it apart from utter grot! Do yourself a favour if you visit Westfield don't eat here, even McDonald's is a huge step up!

Stopped for a quick snack with the family. It was good quality. Kids meals ok for my children but not huge portions for slightly older children but reasonably good value for £5 as a small portion of chips, chicken nuggets or fish bites & ice cream. Reasonably speedy order & service. Like the buzzer idea so you can go & find a table whilst waiting - a benefit as seating area does get quite busy as a variety of restaurants share the seating from the look of things.

Went here on the spur of moment. The staff were unfriendly. Nothing was ready. When our food was ready they only had one portion. When we asked for the rest we were told to get back in the queue. Complained & finally got our order. The food was tasteless & expensive for what you got.

Unlike traditional restaurants Chip + Fish is served in Westfield London's canteen, so a more affordable option than sit-down restaurants. They do very good crispy battered fish and chips, complete with mushy peas, for a taste of Britain. There are other more hipster/authentic fish and chips restaurants out there, but this is a very easy and tasty way to check this food dish off your list if you're visiting London and happen to be in Westfield.

Visited Chip and Fish with other half, was throughly dismayed to see staff massaging each other rather than serving waiting customers. No apology by Faiza our server. Waited over 10 minutes to receive a tiny portion with no chips. When I enquired about this I was informed that they would need to be purchased separately, because telling me at the till when I order wasn't fire front of her mind, ogling her colleagues non existent gun was taking priority. Thus in conclusion if your looking for sexually charged servers and kitchen staff come here, if your looking for quality fish and chips look elsewhere

Needed lunch and chose Chip + Fish, you order and pay at the counter and you are given a phone type thing that vibrates when your meal is ready, had the grilled salmon with chips and mushy peas. Portion was fair size and quality was reasonable. To be honest not a lover of Franchise restaurants. It filled a gap. Total bill came to £12.50 which was on the high side for what I had.

Normally, I won't bother review a chip because...well it's a chipy, I mean how much do you expect? But I flicked over this review surprised to see such negative reviews. Truth is I'm not a massive chip shop chip eater but, I have eaten hear in the past on occasion....and it's a FISH & CHIP SHOP. If your happy to eat your dinner from a ball of paper with a plastic fork while you walk down the road, I don't think the '...batter being soggy, or the small portions' are really you main genuine reasons of complete. I believe for around £10 you get to eat indoors off of a plate and wash it down with a hot tea. For what it is, it's what should be expected.

Have seen this food stall many times but never tried it before so thought would give it a go. Ordered cod & chips & scampi & chips which was cooked to order, added 2 cokes and bill came to £16 which I thought was pretty reasonable Have to say food cooked really well and service polite and efficient. Got the cod and chips from here on a shopping visit, for the £10 price tag the cod was tiny (penthouse of a tea plate) and also the batter was very soggy, as if it had been sitting there for half the day, not great...

I went to the Apple Genius Bar only to find that they could not solve my problem. On leaving, curiosity took the better of me and I wondered around the fast food area. I persuaded myself that I was hungry but did want much. Accordingly, I chose a cod burger from Chip+Fish. I paid my money and waited and waited. Perhaps I was expecting the quick McDonalds approach. I waited 15 minutes and was about to express my annoyance when my buzzer that I had been given, leapt into life. My cod burger was ready. By now I was hungry if only in expectation. I brought it back to my chair that had been warmed by my waiting. What a surprise. This was not something that was NOT manufactured by McDonalds by a factory in Hemel Hempstead. Very recently it was a fish. It was absolutely delicious. It was thick, very moist, flaky like a good cod should be. It was BIG. It was something to savour and I enjoyed every minute of my "Cod Burger". The name Burger need to be taken out of the equation. Yes, I did have two pieces of bun bread which were pretty ordinary and I did eat the bread but frankly if they are able to offer cod in this "mini" format, they should ignore the burger title. Call it a "mini Cod fillet". If bread has to be part of the offer, ignore the white burger bun and offer a piece of soda bread or sour dough as this fish deserves a higher level of accoutrements. I was so impressed that I might even return when I next have a problem with my ipad but I may go here just for the experience again and forget Apple as the car park charges were more than my Cod Burger! Keep up the good work.

I have been to chip+ fish many times on my visit to Westfield London as my kids like their fish and chips and now they are serving (halal)chicken nuggets as Muslim I find this change quit help full now my life's have a choice to have Chiken or fish they charge £5 for kids meal with chips and drink and if you keep you receipt kids can get free ice cream each fir adults its £10 a meal the Quilty of the food is good

O fish and chips é uma das principais opções no cardápio regular dos britânicos. Ainda que pareça sem graça para os brasileiros, ela até que é boa mas, pelo preço, acaba não valendo a pena. O prato consiste em uma opção de filé de peixe (bacalhau e salmão são algumas das opções) com fritas. Esse restaurante oferece como acompanhamento molho tártaro e uma porção(zinha) de creme de ervilha. Com bebida (refrigerante em lata) gastei £11. Um pouco "salgado".

Siempre hay un garbanzo negro que te puede tocar en los viajes y el servicio de este local fue el que nos "tocó". Tuvimos la mala experienica de topar con una desagrable persona, que al no entender lo que nos decía en inglés. No hizo el más mínimo esfuerzo en explicar ni las cosas ni hasta para cobrarte. Tuvimos más educación o la demostramos, porque en ese momento teníamos que habernos dado la vuelta y adiós muy buenas.La comida bien estaba bueno lo que comímos.

Ho mangiato in questo locale nel centro commerciale di Westfield, ordinando il classico cod and chips: merluzzo fritto servito con patate fritte e purè di piselli. Non ho metri di paragone ma a me è sembrato buono. La porzione è giusta ed il prezzo si aggira intorno alle 9 sterline. Per provare un piatto tipico senza spendere un'esagerazione penso che il posto sia l'ideale.

After a lomg dad shopping my sister and came here for lunch. We had the plaice of the day with chips and peas for £5. The fish was nothing but pure batter. It wasn't what I had wanted. The chips were ok and the peas were ok. Wouldn't come here again.

We did enjoy the fish. Unfortunately the chips we're hard, cold and tasted unpleasant. As for the prawns in batter, I never expected the spicy chillies coating the prawn. This was not advertised as spicy or including chillies, so to take a huge bite and have my throat burning for a few minutes was shocking. When I asked at the counter why this was not advertised anywhere the lady simply said " prawns come spicy" WHAT?? I thought she may have meant from there supplier, special marinate but when I asked what she meant, she said "prawn come from the sea spicy". I'm still stunned at this and seemed the mangers didnt really care to correct the information they just offered me another dish. I was told I could not be refunded even though I only ate one and could not even finish my meal. I actually ended up buying another whole lunch dish. Its not like chip and fish is cheap..

I ate at chip+fish for a first time at the Westfield mall at shepards bush and it was not what I expected of the quality and service. Firstly I felt it was a wee bit over priced at £9.50. I mean the sides were better than the main.To top that We were given a plastic fork and a metal knife weird and not easy to eat. I'd recommend to close your eyes when you pass this place. Terrible experience.

Needed a quick bite to eat for lunch and seemed like the simplest thing among all the other varieties of cuisines around. Nothing special for fish and chips, just overly pricey!

The food is simple, but it's exactly what it's supposed to be. The haddock us loooovely and so us the deep fried salmon. I didn't even know salmon could be deep fried! The chips/ fries are chunky, but it all adds to the heartwarming heartiness of the meal.

Highly disappointing experience. I am working at Westfield, White city and I gave them 2 chances as I thought my first time was mistake so I give it a go again! NEVER AGAIN! They charge £10 for cod and a little bucket of chips with a small portion of mushy peas and one small packet of a sauce, I chose Tartar sauce. The big problem I have with this is that the size of the fish was very small. I would say that with the batter the fish was no more than 5 inches long, for the price this really is not good enough. Okay, I understand that the rents are high at Westfield, and that you have to make a lot of profit but you probably won't get too many repeat customers if you don't offer good value for money. My experience left me feeling upset and angry that I'd let myself be ripped off in this way. I shall never go back to Chip + Fish again. I even show them what left on my plate ....hell a lot of oily breading ...basically I payed for the breading !!! It's better to walk 10min to Shepherds bush road and take fish and chips from there Way better and the staff is much nicer and actually u will eat FISH ;-) Good luck if u don't improve u will close down soon I am giving this review to all employees from Westfield and some clients who ask me for recommendations for a lunch or diner ! Ur food is disgusting !!!!

I was served cold and tasteless cod and chips and so wasn't impressed. I won't return and wouldn't recommend it. Good fish and chips should be cooked to order, not cooked in advance then held until a mug like me comes along. I do hate it when food is produced with such disdain for the consumer. It's such a waste. The management of this chain needs to do something about their quality control and staff training. It really shouldn't be difficult to produce excellent fish and chips, so many other places do.

This place has different types of nice fish+chips and mushy peas. The service was kinda slow in the Westfield branch the day I tried but I guess it wouldnt be like that all the time.

The fish was greasy and the chips were stale. The chips also had a funny taste. We ordered the cod but could not find it underneath the greasy batter. Was expecting a nice piece of cod but it looked like something you would get inside a cheap fish finger.

Eso fue cierto, no tardamos más de cinco minutos en estar sentados y servidos. Eso sí, autoservicio. Te dan una especie de mando que vibra cuando está lista tu comanda, te levantas y vas a por ella. Tampoco es que los muchachos tengan muchas ganas de trabajar... No fueron especialmente agradables.Pedimos el pescado del menú (que tampoco es que fuese especialmente barato), con patatas fritas y servido con una salsa y un puré de guisantes. Bueno, qué decir. El pescado soso, bastante más grasiento de lo que me gustaría, vacío por dentro... Vamos, que parecía un trozo grande y al final era todo aire. Las patatas bien, la salsa pasable y el puré... Soso también, sin ningún tipo de gracia. Es comida, pero sólo eso. Yo no repetiría.

I'm not usually one who's difficult to please but was so disappointed in the food I received that a review was necessary. After hours of shopping Chip and Fish sounded like a good idea. My mother and I were almost repelled by the cost of one dish of your "traditional fish and chips' however went ahead and ordered anyway because we were too famished to keep walking around. I ordered cod and chips and she ordered haddock. When our order came, it was basically self service, which is why it baffled me as to why it cost so much. The chips were decent however the fish.. absolutely atrocious. The only thing we could taste was oil and batter. We couldn't find any fish underneath. When I finally did it was bland and honestly frozen fish from Tesco tastes better. I was absolutely gutted. The food was just plain terrible. Tartare sauce not good enough, a shop bought one tastes much better. I will never come back here. Absolute rip off. Save ur money and make your own at home.

Un dernier fish and chips pour la route avant de rentrer en France. On s'arrête au Chips + Fish du centre commercial Westfield. Les portions sont sympa mais pas énormes. On mange à sa faim mais pas plus c'est déjà pas mal. Le personnel est bien sympathique, souriant, serviable et efficace. On vous donne un beepper à la commande et vous allez vous asseoir. Quand les plats sont prêts, il vibre et clignote. C'est le moment d'aller chercher la commande. Leur sauce maison est sympa et il y a plusieurs types d'autres sauces à disposition. Le poisson était très bon et les frites succulentes. Que demander de mieux?Une terrasse pour manger dehors plutôt que d'être au milieu du centre commercial.Même si le cadre n'est pas franchement désagréable. A recommander pour un petit repas sur le pouce entre deux des 374 magasins du centre commercial.

Called here around 5pm on a Friday. Ordered cod and chips and a Peroni. They give you a buzzer, so that you can go and find a seat and get called when it's ready for collection. The fish was cooked to order so took about 5 minutes which is reasonable. Was surprised that the Peroni was ice cold in a large glass, which was nice, draft? No bottle. Despite the fact I said I didn't want ketchup it was on the order slip, and although I hadn't ordered it, there was a pot of mushy peas with it! Batter was nice and crisp but sadly the 'cod' was either deep frozen for six months and so was not moist and flaky as cod should be, or was simply not cod, didn't taste of anything much. The chips were dry and bland, and half the amount you would get from a take away fish and chip shop. 4.50 for the Peroni which is about average, but 9.50 for the fish and chips is expensive considering it's self service. Disappointing. Girl on the till had the charisma of a dead fish. And why do they like so many places think it's ok to put the pot of mushy peas onto the plate, where was the pot standing beforehand? Can't think its great hygiene.

Ate here out of pure convinience with my niece and nephew.You can't really get fish and chips wrong, these fish and chips taste the same as fish and chips anywhere else in London, just four times more expensive.I chewed my own arm off while having to wait over 5 minutes for my food! 5 MINUTES! Crazy.The only positive about this place is there is a little area for children to play in. But most people didn't bother buying food and just sat around so their own children could play in the pen. I wish I did that. I wish I didn't pay for the food and just sat around instead, then at least I would have two arms left.

Got notification that food was ready only to find it had been given to someone else. Got no response from the meek looking server other than a shrug of the shoulders and a mumble. No apology no sign of customer service at all. This 'man' should not work in his current position. The girl preparing the food on the other hand was apologetic and clearly has more intelligence and customer focus. Chips ok fish portion small batter soggy. Will never visit this or any other establishment of theirs

Very soggy batter. Chips like rock. Avoid no matter how hungry you are. I did let them know how bad it was and the only response i got was "but you've eaten half of it". Well it wasn't half and i was starving. Oh yes, cost me £8.50.Go anywhere else.

Eate here with my family during our holiday in London.We were really disappointed.We ordered Cod with chips, onion rings and mushy peas, and everything was bland and tasteless.

Restaurant is in food court area with seating behind order stn.prices are average,fish menu is limited-cod/haddock/salmon.food cooked to order,portions are reasonable with sides of onion rings/mushy peas available.only standard size cans of soft drinks available.while this is clean & efficient with prompt service the food is bland & fish menu limited.a children's menu also available.sauces tomato/tartare are complimentary,extra portions are 40p.

Even with the crowded eating area the food was not that bad. But then they want extra money for ketchup? Seriously. That is over the top. I am not going to pay extra for condiments. They need to reconsider their policies. What next? Charging for salt?

This is the worst place I have ever eaten. Cold chips, soggy batter and you have to pay for ketchup! Returned the fish twice and got the same soggy pale fish back. Manager in the end told me it's not raw! Honestly absolute daylight robbery and awful food. Avoid like the plague.

We ordered a chip and fish, and a chip. It was a Saturday at 3 PM, so it was BUSY. The wait was not long and it was ok. My wife quite enjoyed the fish, her only complaint was that the tartar sauce was not very good. My only complaint is that I received one ketchup and if I wanted more it was 40P, so about .65 cents for a ketchup.

Because they cook the salmon more specifically to order it takes a longer time. But when i receive it, its very tender and delicious.They don't have you standing around waiting for your order when they're busy and have a little take away light-up device to let you know when you are able to collect your order. The service needs a little more friendliness but that's the only thing that I would really improve on. Delicious!

I was in Shepherd Bush westfield on late Friday evening and I was feeling a bit peckish after already havign had my dinner so decided to get myself a Fish burger from Chip + Fish in the food court.Having observed this outlet when it first opened it did'nt look great in terms of freshness as a lot of the food looked pre made. However upon one of my previous visits to westfiled a few weeks ago I was happy to see that it looked like it had maybe changed management? Everything was being freshly cooked and I decided to order some chips to go with a meal i was having from another outlet. The chips were served with a homemade or what i presume was a homemade tartar sauce rather than a generic one and the chips and tarttar sauce tasted great.This time I had a fish burger with cod and although the amount of fish given in the burger could have been more, overall the burger tasted good as did the tartar sauce as I asked for some on the side and poured it into my burger. The bun was a little on the overdone/hard side but overall it still tasted good.I would try this place out again and maybe try the full fish and chips meal maybe.

I know these small eating places at Westfield mall are not the greatest, but this place is truely aweful! After standing in the queue and paying - waited for prob 20 min to get my food. I don't mind waiting as the order before mine was a large one, but once my food was ready - it just stood there on the counter for ages and no staff was willing to take the time from the long queue to even give it to me. I ordered the calamari and for £5 did not expect 8 over cooked slivers of calamari! I asked them for some tartare sauce, and the nonchalant girl behind the till said it would be an extra 20p for the sauce! After paying £5 my food should be swimming in free sauce, this is just too much day-light robbery for me - please do yourself a favour and avoid at all cost!!!

Yes the staff are rude here - they seem to have a real attitude problem serving the non-white community - well sorry look around Westfield is full of non-white customers so if you don't like it there then why work there? Expensive for what you get and the cod had run out when I got there. Had scampi instead which was ok nothing special - chips were better than Shawa place opposite but that's really not saying anything...

I went to westfield london today, ordered an icecream for my 2 year old. The lady who was serving didnt tell me she only had cones left, when i asked for a bowl instead she only had a biscuit bowl so i said that would be fine, until the supervisor came, dangling her handbag on her shoulder and said I cant have that, they only serve icecream in bowl.She was rude and arrogant, didnt appologise, was rude to her staff who looked rather embarrased. Terrible terrible place.

Very expensive for what it is.Ordered calamari and chips.The calamari portion had only 85g and coasted £5,00. ( has just bought a weight scale on John Lewis and was able to check the weight. The the counter assistant, not politely, said all the portions are the same size.That must be the most expensive calamari in the world, coming to £58 per kilo

Ate here on a busy Friday evening and really enjoyed it. Chips were delicious and fish (haddock) really fresh - would recommend.

This is the second time I have been to this restaurant with children. The food was ok though rather greasy. But the tea was a disgrace! The hot water was provided separately so of course was nowhere near boiling. And the milk was hot! You do expect proper tea in a London chippie even if it is in a huge shopping centre. The staff however did not seem to understand the problem, sadly.

The chips were hard. You don't expect to go to a restaurant where the first word in the name is 'chip' and it be as bad as that was, they weren't even chip shop chips! I also got bread and butter which would have been fine but they gave me butter which was not spreadable so I ruined my bread. As well as this the water I asked for was warm, the system for collecting food was not explained and the staff were clearly bored so they just stood around talking which made them distracted for when they actually had customers. I wouldn't eat here again if you paid me.

Had always wanted to give chip and fish ago, should have realised something was up from the fact it was fish and chips I wanted not chip and fish, first of all the price £8 for fish and chips, I will let it pass thinking this place looks good and I had wanted to try it, so got my meal, the chips are ok but you don't get many but it's the fish that's the problem, rubbish, terrible it falls apart as soon as you touch it, you can't even get your fork in it, it's soggy, tasteless a large disappointment, the batter on the fish the same soggy tasteless falls apart.Overall not going back overpriced for what it is, food is poor quality. Service was average as all they do is take your order at the till and give you a buzzer for collection nothing more. If you want fish and chips go to a good local on you way home for half the price and fish and chips how it's meant to be. Or for a restaurant fish and chips, poppies near spitifields market.

I visit westfield fairly often so I have been to chip and fish fair few times.the chips are tasty, the fish is coli not cod and given that its a third of the price of cod in retail i cant understand why it costs about £10 for a portion which is half the size one may expect.that being said its ok tasting and service is counter based and fairly quick. i dont plan to return any time soon since my local chippy serves cod and its half the price

I ordered their specials for the day for lunch and was disappointed. The fish was poor quality and had bones in it. it was also tasteless. Chips were also disappointing, like it has been fried ages ago. I'm a regular at Westfield, and always in search of a lunch place to go. This is definitely NOT it!

I had the fish and chips at the westfield shopping Centre today and, what a disappointment, I couldn't believe the poor quality of the fish, first off, I had bones from the first bite, its expected to have some, or one but not the amount that I got, the fish was tasteless and so was the chips,I couldn't believe it, how can you mess up chips??? but this lot managed to do so. it was simply the worst tasting fish I have eaten for 10 pound, in fact i have eaten 4.50 fish or a lot better, it was terrible.

Visited here after watching some wheelchair rugby at the paralympics. First thought when ordering was '£9 for cod and chips, £1.50 for a can of pop and £5.50 for a childs mini fish dinner, they should be nice if they're charging that amount'. Once we got them was so, so disappointed, the worst fish and chips we have ever had. Tasteless chips with lots of hard scrappy bits, pale soggy greasy batter on the fish, which was small. The childrens meal didn't even come with mushy peas (or alternative) like the adults, they also didn't give us the chupa chup lolly that was advertised as part of the kids meal, when I asked they weren't chupa chups anyway but a cheaper alternative. Service was not with a smile either. Only plus was we didn't have to pay extra for ketchup but for £9 I shouldn't think so either! I think it is a terrible shame that in a shopping centre which has been visited by 1000s of overseas visitors who may have wanted to try a british classic, if this was their first taste, they wouldn't try it again.

This "restaurant" is one of a number at the food court in the fabulous Westfield shopping centre. I visited on Monday 2nd November 2009.I chose the fish (Coley) and chips £8.00 as I could see that it was fresh and would be battered in front of me before frying. I added mushy peas £2.50 as an extra side.Both the fish and chips tasted as they promised and looked - fantastic. The peas were good but a single portion is good enough for two people.
