Just don’t bother going to this place. It’s dirty, really poor service and the food is truly awful. It was far more expensive than a Weatherspoons and there is a Wearhersppons only a few hundred yards away. Worst value for money I have ever experienced.

Went with friends to Yates for lunch after we checked into our hotel up the road. My partner ordered a few drinks. 2 fosters, a large glass of white wine for me and a jug of hot water for my baby. The wine was warm, the staff member said there wasn’t anything chilled available, bizarre seeing as they’re a bar and the hot water was served in a glass - brilliant health and safety right there! We ordered food as we had travelled most of the morning. My partner decided on the Even a Bigger Breakfast for £9.95, I had the 8oz rump steak for £8.75 and our friend went for something light of garlic bread (£2.25) and chicken wings (£4.25). Overall the food was exceptionally overpriced for what was served. My steak came out watery, the chips stale and cold, as if they had been heated up from the night before, my partners breakfast was ok in most parts but the chicken was dry and the garlic bread was burnt but warm. I used to come here when I was younger, for drinks with friends and regularly eat here. It’s unfortunate the food was so bad. The staff, although pleasant, spent a large amount of time complaining about the manager when serving, clearing tables or collecting glasses. Shame, I won’t be coming back.

We have been here on a Sunday evening after a NFL football game in Twickenham Stadium. The two guys behind the bar were totally overstrained by the people coming in. It took me 20 minutes to get some beer and they told me that they were out on many kinds they offered. I don’t like Bud but other than Guinness they didn’t have any other English beer. Really sad. Also they did not collect the empty glasses so they also ran out of clean glasses. Really? We watched the other football games on TV and were thrown out pretty rude 5 Minutes before the last game ended. It 11pm and we had almost a full pint of beer but the guy made it very clear to us: drink it immediately or put it down. But leave now! Now I finally know why many other pubs were totally crowded while this one was pretty empty. Bottom line: don’t go there!

This place is closing in 10 weeks and a lot of staff have already downed tools. Several members of staff are rude and like to have their own way when it comes to putting on rap/grime or whatever they call it. Toilets are filthy, literally, and I mean literally, a shizhole. Management is a joke here, has been ever since the new boss came in about 18 months ago. Never ever order food here, the chef looks like he hasn't washed in months. Tables are filthy and sticky. The boss likes to start crying when customers charge their phone (not allowed due to H&S??!!) There is literally one good employee here, Mo and that is it and he deserves to work in a better place than this. This place has been on its knees for a while and it's no surprise they're closing down. Great location for a pub, spacious and full of potential - unfortunately StoneGate will probably sell to property development or a Sainsbury's. If ever there was a TV show to be commissioned 'How not to run a pub', this establishment would be top of the list. I dread to think how bad things could get in here the nearer they get to closing down. Avoid at all costs people

Today I went to Yates with my friend, I ordered at the bar to a member of staff who could not understand a word I was saying, I am not racist but when I have to point on the menu to every item that I want to order because she doesn't understand.. it speaks for itself. The food took ages to come out and when it did the order was wrong, cold, the chips were clearly reheated. I had around 4 small chunks of chicken on my 'hunters chicken' meal. No cutlery was given, neither were any sauces and then when we did ask the woman couldn't understand us again. This was disgusting service & even more disgusting food. I will NOT eat here again. Sort ya staff out and the chef.

Went to Yates' one afternoon for lunch whilst out shopping with my dad. We sat down at a rather sticky table, glasses still on the table, table covered in salt with manky chips on the floor. Surrounding tables also had glasses on them and one table had a couple of plates with leftover food on them. My dad didn't want to stay from that moment, but I was hungry and desperate for food. I went to the bar and got us a drink each while we decided what we wanted to eat. I then went back to the bar to order food at which point the bar lady said that they "hadn't served food yet today and won't be serving food until 6pm" as they didn't have a chef. If that's the case, I dread to think how long the tables had been like that for and how long the food had been on the floor and tables. Revolting place. Grotty, dated and unhygienic. And if you need to go to the bathroom, don't. Hold it in and use the treaty centre toilets.

The bouncers are for the pub and customers safety and well being not to extort money from local customers. Yates company ... honest advise ... please refrain from charging entry fee other wise your business won't succeed. Whilst staying at the Travelodge there is next to no choice for food so we ate here Friday night and had drinks Sunday afternoon. The service for the food was OK but how the staff thought it was acceptable to serve the starter at the same time as the main is beyond me. We were too hungry to bother arguing with them about it. The drinks were served in plastic glasses which should have given me a clue. We were sat near the speakers which were blasting out far too loud that the bass made me feel sick the way it was beating through me. The table was sticky and I've not idea when it last saw a cloth but we cleaned it ourselves. We left sharpish after the food and went to find a pub showing championship football as they wouldn't here. The drinks on Sunday were an experience. There was one girl serving with 3 of us waiting whilst an arrogant bloke (I'm assuming the manager) kept wandering backwards and forwards behind the bar, he couldn't serve us because Arsenal were on the tv. The girl had to leave the bar to get some red wine for the guy she was serving then stop serving drinks to fetch food from the kitchen as there was no one else. I finally ordered our drinks after 15 mins of waiting. Terrible terrible service because of a lack of staff whilst someone is far too busy watching football to help! The only reason that I gave 2 stars was because the nachos ready made food was actually served well but I'm not sure about the salad. If I'm visiting Hounslow again I have to research where to go, I'll even consider the Travelodge rather than here. McDonalds food and service is so much better. Just don't bother.

Visited here by default as there's very little choice when it comes to haute cuisine in Hounslow! It's a big old place desperately in need of a revamp but the staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was pretty poor although there was nothing wrong with the starters but the "roast" chicken for main wasn't roasted-it was deep fried in rancid fat and smelled vile. The redeeming factor here is how the manager dealt with the complaint-he came over and chatted to us and offered several solutions to put things right. We were very happy with the outcome and impressed with how the manager dealt with it.

Myself and my family visited Yates Hounslow last week, we ordered food it had taken over an hour to be served. I complained to the bar staff where there were two girls working, one had a very bad attitude and told me that it isn't her fault. The other then came over and apologised and explained she would have a word with the cook. Which I appreciated very much. She was very lovely and very hard working. The other lady was just stood behind the bar on her phone the whole time, whilst this other bar lady did absolutely everything. I felt genuinely very sorry for her. I would not be coming back to Yates Hounslow. & I am sorry that I don't remember the lovely bar lady's name. Although they would be absolutely sodded without having her there. Firstly I would never ever recommend this place to anyone! It was terrible and I am supervised they are allowed to be open for business... let me tell you why....Today I visited Yates in Hounslow as this is the only place to go for a drink! Walked in and the place just smelled damp and looked very very very run down!!! Me and my sister thought we would still give it a try.We ordered two drinks which was nice and cheap so happy days! Then decided to order food as the menu did not look so bad. I looked for a place to sit and found the tables so dirty and sticky! How does Yates expect customers when the place basically looked like crap!!!! There were flies and insects all over the place. We moved tables about four times and it just got worse and worse!!!We finally moved and started sipping on our drink and observing the bar...there was ONLY 1 man working at the bar! How do they expect to run a business with no staff! The floor looked like it had not be cleaned for months!!! We sat next to a lady who was also complaining and a fly went in her drink, she went to the bar and the bartender said,' I will take it out for you!' How disgusting!!! Then she asked for a refund and he said no first until another customer intervened! WOW i was shocked at the level of hygiene in Yates! The staff did not have a clue!!! So 40 mins had passed and a lady had to clean her own table!!! This is ridiculous and the staff seemed to not care at all!The food came and it looked awful, my mac and cheese looked as though they added pasta and cheese in a bowl and put it in the microwave! I felt so sick! We asked for cutlery and the fork had a strand of hair on it....my sister just had enough!!!We asked for the manager! She took about 10-15 minutes to come down which was ridiculous! We complained about the cleanliness, service and flies! She said that the flies was an ongoing issue and many customers have complained! She was not professional and did not seem to bothered! She gave us a full refund... which lead to another customer getting a refund too.Yates in Hounslow should not be open for business as it is dirty and filthy! God knows the state of the kitchen!!! I will never ever go to any of the Yates again and have been completely put off for life! This was my worst experience ever!!!

Having been travelling for many hours and checking into the local Travelodge, I decided to see what the was locally for my family and I to eat. Finding a Yates' with national standardised menu we set off for tea. Checking the website which it said it was family friendly, we thought we'd have no problem. However it was 8 o'clock and after walking in finding a table and deciding what we wanted we went to find the sparse amount of staff that were working, to order. It was then we were told we were not welcome as we had children in tow. No signs on the door on entrance, no mention on the menu and completely opposite to the information on the website. So we had to leave. A lucky escape in my opinion when looking around at the current clientele and the odour from the bathroom. Let alone the attitude of the staff. Reminded me of a 1970's working man's club, dirty, tatty and full of obnoxious people.

Yates is a pub on the corner known for it's reasonable prices, good food, and slow service. It has positives and negatives about it depending on what you look for in a pub. On the good side, the prices are the best around for pubs that I've seen in that area. You can get 2 meals for 7.45 and they're descent tasting with a reasonable variety. Tried fish and chips, chicken tikka, and cumberland sausage. All were descent tasting food especially for the price. The place has a retractable screen for when games are on and we even watched some NFL Football while we were there which was a surprise for you North American travellers. Oddly enough, they allow kids inside at all times. Maybe that's the rules for england though. Not exactly sure. The downside is it's a bit of a mess. The menus are sticky and gross. The tables are usually not cleaned if you go at night. They seem to do a cleanup in the morning but nothing the rest of the day. The bar staff was nice but the food came out slowly. They did apologize about the speed though so it is what it is. There are people coming in and out for a beer all morning, day, and night. Probably because of the cheaper prices. I felt safe there but like I said it was just a bit dirty. In case you have a germ-a-phobe girlfriend or family you intend to introduce this place to. Otherwise a perfect place for someone on a budget who's single.

Had to wait for 10 mins to get served drinks, cuz it was quiet Tuesday afternoon and no any staff around. Finally ordered drinks and food. Food arrived quick but nothing at all what menu says. Ordered "dog with balls", menu says its served in a "soft roll" my dog came in concrete hard roll with cold fries. Also ordered side of onion rings, there was small bowl with 5 rings, very greasy and also cold. Wasn't bothered to complaint cuz the lady who were serving me looked like she doesn't give a damn. So ordered another dish - chicken tikka masala with rice. Rice weren't cooked properly but overall the dish was eatable. Basically left the place very disappointed and hungry. They need to train the staff and do improvements with the food. Been so many other Yates and the service and food is brilliant. P.S food looks good but it's only visual.

Called in for food but was told there was a 1.5 - 2 hour wait even though the place was almost empty. When ordering drinks I was told they did not have dry white wine but on asking what they did have there was a choice of Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon blanc. The crisps that were requested and paid for had to be chased up. The door fell off the wine fridge. The table were dirty. Empty glasses were not collected. Overall very poor.

My mate and myself went here for a drink with a view to having food there too, we both had a pint of Guinness and sat down to look at the menu. The Guinness was one of the worse pints of Guinness I have ever had, so bad that we returned them to the barman not drunk. I told him they were very bad and he never even offer to get me something else or my money back. We thought if the drinks are that bad we would not risk the food. The interior was in a poor condition with some chairs having ripped upholstery and the stuffing hanging out.

Visited on Sunday with my family hoping to have a nice meal and pint of ale. I really like this place because of its decor and lot of room. The toilets clean and spacious. Lots of the outside space. Great location in the heart of Hounslow. We've been here several times in the past but just for drink. To be honest very disappointed after today. We've been waiting 45 minutes for our order. The food was ok for the price but nothing special. The ale was not available at all. The other thing is the cleanliness of the tables: we removed the stuff left after previous customers and wiped it out because was wet and filthy. The few tables around has been cleaned after few hours being here. It shouldn't be an issue considering the fact there was not to many people in the pub. Overall in my opinion a nice place for a drink but I won't recommend to eat here if you like decent food served quickly. You will find better places in 200 feet radius.

This Yates was fairly well run down and the bar staff were very indifferent when serving and would ignore people in preference to regulars. This was made worse when we ordered 2 meals (chicken and a salad) and 2 locals who arrived 15 minutes after we ordered received 2 steak dinners first and when we asked where our food was we were told it would only be a few minutes and it was actually delivered after a 45 minute wait (from ordering) and after the 2 locals had finished !!. Yates's can be "hit and miss" and this was certainly a big miss.

Average Guinness and as a diabetic needed some food so went for safe scampi/chips/peas (prob brake bros option)! Mistake, rubbish chips cooked awfully in fat that was never hot enough to crisp up a chip, peas how can you mess up frozen peas? They did! Miniscule scampi middles surrounded by far too much crumb which luckily was tasteless else you would never have tasted the scampi. Poorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Well after reading reviews was quite disappointed. 2 meals for 7.95 awesome. But I wanted chicken and they didn't have, I wanted beef and they didn't have. Ended up having scampi and they were very good as well as the onion rings. My husbands hamburger I think was cooked at noon and served at 7pm Very dry and no flavour. Was entertained by Pete a local and he was funny and kept us entertained. Although we are coming back In A weeks time probably won't come back here. 2 meals, 2 beers and 2 glasses of Sav Blanc Wine$26 GBPs. OK

Headed here with some work colleagues for lunch before the bank holiday weekend. It seemed busy when we turned up but not heaving so we didn't foresee any issues.Things started to change once we went to order food. There were only two members of staff on the bar and they weren't the quickest! Things were made even worse when, despite there being a big queue, one of the staff members decided her time was better spent going to clean a table than serving customers! It must have taken about 20mins to finally get served. As nothing had been mentioned about wait times when we ordered our food we were hoping to be fed before long... Well, over an hour later and still no sign! We were aware that a few people had started complaining so it didn't seem we were the only ones with problems. When we queried how much longer we were going to have to wait, they told us our orders hadn't even been looked at in the kitchen yet! I have no idea what they were playing at as no one else seemed to have been getting food either! In the end we all requested refunds and left. This is terrible, whatever the situation, but we are now all going to have to make up the work time that we lost hanging around for absolutely nothing! We will not be wasting our time here again!

As soon as we walked in was greeted with a smile by the barman; super pints of Stella. Lovely atmosphere in the pub as we watched Wales v Italy rugby game. Got great directions to our hotel, then returned to Yates' after England v France game for more drink and food. My curry was good, husband had a steak which was more than adequate; Stella was good and clear. Staff were very friendly; we also had a go at the 4 shots for £8 as a nightcap; we were that contented that we never tried any of the other pubs/restaurants. Very good value for money and totally unexpected but highly delighted. Thank you Yates.

Liked - nothing at all. Disliked - the looking for a fight ambiance.I don't know what it is about door security, but if I go to a pub looking for a friend I don't expect to be asked why I'm going to a pub, and I don't expect the hairy eyeball when I leave 2 minutes later, my friend having had more sense than to go there in the first place. I also don't expect when I say, as one does, 'oh well, my friend's not here,' for the door security to looks at me as if I'm speaking Swahili all of a sudden. These people all seemed as if they were looking for a fight. I don't understand this mindset at all.

Recently visited Hounslow Yates for brunch on a weekend.I know at night they have various "club night/ themed nights" especially on a Friday and Saturday. Met some relatives there for brunch, they serve all day breakfasts, jacket potato, sandwiches and snacks (crisps, nachos etc) - usual pub food. Reasonable pub style prices and good portion sizes. On the day we went their hot drinks machine was not working, and we asked if they could at least boil water for tea, but they said they could not, they did apologise for this - something to do with their company procedure. The staff were friendly and checked that the food was okay and also cleared the plates quickly after eating but we did not feel rushed. The outdoor seating is nice for warmer days, although there is a bus stop opposite and road nearby so some people stare at you if you are sitting outside, again not something that can be helped. For evening and nightlife I think this is ideal for friends, but during the day for a meal or snack, it is ideal for families, couples and friends.

Handy spot and prompt initial service, however we specified no holla Daisy sauce on the dishes and she brought it out covered in the stuff so we had to wait for the second attempt. Tea cups were almost thrown down on the table, the teapot spout on one was badly chipped which is unhygienic. Poor value for money too.

Me and my group arrived with only 15 mins to spare before the kitchen closed, and we were very lucky to be served. Our server Katrina couldn’t have been more accommodating, her service was fantastic. The food we had was great, we especially liked the pork belly and chicken liver parfait. There was a great atmosphere in the pub in general, and would highly recommend for a late night dinner any time.
