This Chiswick High Road cafe is great for people watching, but service lets it down. Families with babies are (perhaps) understandably put in a side room off the main restaurant but after 15 mins of sitting down we had to go to find a waiter to take our order, and food took another 30+ mins although the restaurant was near empty, and then came cold. Marginally expensive and trading off its name for wannabees. 13.5% service charge completely unmerited

Great spot for brunch, was very busy but service was still attentive and food was tasty. We were surprised with a lovely candle on our dessert. Atmosphere was quite loud inside but the team and food was great. Will return to try to get a table outside

I had visited this place a few years ago and decided to revisit now that I have some family members living in the area. Unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. We were seated at a very cramped table next to a family with screaming young kids. Why would they do that? Realizing this wasn’t going to be a good experience, I asked for another table. Although there was some initial resistance, we were eventually moved. The food was decidedly average, and to our surprise, the still water we ordered cost £6 per bottle. The only redeeming feature was the service, which was good and attentive. However, at £50 per person, it felt overpriced. I reviewed the restaurant on OpenTable, and management reached out to speak with me. When I spoke with the manager, I expressed my complaints. While they acknowledged my concerns, they only mentioned that if I had said something about the water, they would have refunded it. Although we ended the conversation amicably, not once did they offer a discount for the trouble or invite me back with the promise of a better experience. They only said, "If you're ever in the area, give us a call and we'll sort out a nice table." This level of service should be standard. I write this review to let others know that there are much better places to spend £50 on average food and a flat atmosphere. The good old days are gone.

This has been one of our favourite places for many years - we had a SH member and a regular with our party who are often there. We turned up to be greeted by two employees chatting.. so we stood there while they were socially chatting and finished before greeting us. We were shown to our table (we had booked), and it was cramped. My friend and the man on the table adjacent laughed that they were sitting on each others laps. I was bumped into 5 times by employees trying to get to other tables. I understand they were busy and had no other tables but that was unpleasant. They’d crammed people in it seems. We decided to go elsewhere as we couldn’t sit and enjoy a drink like that, let alone a meal. We tried to catch a member of staffs eye to politely tell them we were leaving… one just looked and rolled their eyes. Unfortunately that was the third bad experience with waiting staff there now. Strange as it used to have great service. Cote is just round the corner and so much more pleasant now.

Whilst last year their Sunday lunches were a bit hit and miss, things have really improved with the food and the service and the attention to detail. We arrived a little early for our lunch reservation and ordered a Bloody Mary at the bar. The barman was so friendly and it was a damn good Bloody Mary. It was punchy and a little spicy but not too much. After our drink we were taken to our table in the outside terrace. My friend ordered the pork belly roast and I ordered the roast beef. The pork belly was succulent and with a crispy crackling on top and the roast beef perfectly cooked. The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and as for the cauliflower cheese...mmm yummy! The service was prompt and the two waiting staff that serviced our area of the terrace were attentive and friendly. All in all a fantastic Sunday lunch!

Came for lunch today and sat in the sunshine with my friend out on the terrace. We were both really impressed with our first visit here and it was nice to see a brasserie with a plat du jour however it didn't take my fancy so I went for the fishcake as recommended by our lovely waitress Emily. It was delicious, as were the salted caramel truffles for dessert. Definitely would recommend and also definitely will come back.

What can I say? Tasty food! The Boeuf Bourguignon was as good as it gets. A generous serving and very, very tasty with every bite. Good service. Will come back for sure.

We went a few months ago and were not pleased but this time was very different. The service was excellent - really top notch and we felt looked after. The food arrived promptly despite a very busy time (7.30pm on Monday) - it was hot and delicious. The managers looked thoroughly in control and on it. La carne no era un corte de calidad, el queso de coliflor era blando y, sorprendentemente, el restaurante no tenía ningún rábano picante. 5 de cada 10. La lubina de mi esposa estaba bien, 7 de cada 10. Mi suegra tenía Fish & Chips. We went here for lunch a few Saturdays ago as we'd passed it hundreds of times and noticed it was busy all through the summer. However, it was no longer summer so we only decided to sit outside because they had heaters on full blast and we weren't offered a seat inside. Fortunately the air was nice and fresh, at least it was until other diners finished their meals and started blowing cigarette smoke everywhere. I can't abide smoking near food and there just wasn't any escape from it.

Large dog was placed next to our table with a water bowl. Sniffed our food and splashed saliva over our drinks after taking a drink from the bowl. It was a large animal and was 30cm from our table. Disgusting!!

Nice venue with a buzzy atmosphere. Let down by average to mediocre food. Crab starter was more mayo than crab, the fish and chips was very average served on a cold plate so the mushy peas were cold. Won't be rushing back

I was meeting a couple of people for what could have been an awkward evening. But the friendly, easy atmosphere and staff in tbe Brasserie naturally put us at our ease. It’s always buzzy here. I’ve actually forgotten what I had as a starter but two of us ordered sirloin steaks with brocolli, mash, trutfle fries and creamed spinach. We both thought it was really good and tasty. I had a proper creme brulee for pudding and it was a proper one - crunchy and caramalised on the top, a good size and creamy. For some reason creme brulees defeat a lot of restaurants - too small, dry or soggy on top. Or messed around with by whipping raspberries in or adding sultanas. Anyway the brulees here are proper! I like the way the Brasserie looks and the ambience. There is lots of space to sit outside with heaters which is great if you fancy a little street life.

We've eaten lunch here before but on Saturday we decided to go to this superb restaurant before heading to Twickenham to watch a rugby match. The atmosphere and music were fabulous and the entire ambience of this place was very vibrant and energetic. The hostess was very smiley and polite,she made us feel so welcome when we arrived. Even though we did not have a booking we were quickly accommodated. Regarding the food, we all went for Full English breakfast which was superb, large portions of perfectly cooked breakfast.
