The best restaurants serving British food in London

Terrible meal. The starters are a waste of time, the vegetables have been sitting there for a couple of hours, The only decent thing to say is that there is plenty of meat.

Food average. Service pitifully slow. Waited over an hour for main course - not good with children. By the time the dessert arrived we were being told we had to vacate the table as our time was up. Disappointing

One of the best pubs in Hackney! We went to the quiz for the first time on Thursday and it was loads of fun. Would highly reccomend!

Me and my group arrived with only 15 mins to spare before the kitchen closed, and we were very lucky to be served. Our server Katrina couldn’t have been more accommodating, her service was fantastic. The food we had was great, we especially liked the pork belly and chicken liver parfait. There was a great atmosphere in the pub in general, and would highly recommend for a late night dinner any time.

Shay was amazing and she gave us the best service!!! Would definitely come again because of her!!!

good selection of food. /sandwiches made to order. no menu displayed but cooked food - eggs bacon, etc available, soup ..., I got a cream cheese and smoked salmon bagel, really good value

Only came here for a pint, but received excellent service at the bar, loved the Christmas decorations, and look forward to coming back!

This bar has a violent owner who shouted at a couple of guys who were minding their own business but were apparently "blocking the route to the toliet". The owner made a real scene - aggressively walked them out and shouted at my friend and I for asking him to calm down. The man behind the bar was charming but I'm disappointed we spent money here if that's the way the owner treats people!

I recently visited Wetherspoons Cutty Sark and placed an online order (Order #397216) to my table. However, the staff member at the till—a lady with glasses—insisted that I carry the items to my table myself. Despite explaining that the order included seven glasses and was too heavy, she still made me carry half of it. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also felt discriminatory, as I strongly believe she treated me this way because I am not British. Such treatment is unacceptable and goes against the customer service standards one expects. Extremely disappointed with this experience.

Very good food and service. We shared Scotch egg(!) and chicken pie, Guinness and white wine. (But we're Swiss...Very tasty. Highish prices typical of London

Service and food was spot on this evening, Zak was our waiter and he was very attentive and friendly! We left feeling happy and full !
