Had a daily special... homemade curry, was superb... always friendly staff.... will keep coming everytime I'm in Camden.

The staff were incredibly rude! my friend who needed more ketchup took some more from the bar as there was no staff at the bar, and a man came out and shouted at her for it! also my fries came out with 2 ingredients missing even though i asked for an extra. when i asked what the extra was missing, she said i had to pay. obviously that wasn’t a problem however from the time it took to get my meal right, the fries were cold. the lemonade was gone, the coke was flat. and the burger was just disgusting. the only good thing was the mac and cheese bites, do not recommend whatsoever.

A typical English bar. Quite big, rather simple interior, lots of drink options. It also has a small outdoor terrace. The staff was OK. I drank a beer and continued on my way. Nothing special.

My husband and I visited before midday today as a pit stop for a bite to eat and something to drink. We easily found a table and decided to order the sharing platter. This was delicious. Great service and reasonably priced, well worth a visit if you’re in Camden Town.

Great spot in Camden Food is good and quick but the guiness is as good as you can get in London... staff are attentive and friendly.... will be back when next in London

A few weeks ago, after our show at the Etcetera Theatre (upstairs the pub) the whole cast and family decided to have drinks to celebrate. About 16 of us, on two tables, having chill conversations on the terrace. We had one drink each+snacks. After a while we asked if the kitchen was closed. The nice waitress replied Yes and recommended pizza from the corner stan. Trying to avoid future problems, I specifically ask "Can we bring food in from another place? Are we allowed to eat it here?" In which she replied "Yes! I don't see why it should be a problem, our kitchen is closed and you asked in advance" so we did. Hours later, when we had almost finished eating a very rude gentleman, oddly enough avoided the table of the group that spoke English, (not sure if it was coincidence or racism) approached the foreign table and shouted rudely "No food allowed". I snapped and explained that we had permission from the waitress, in which he replied "She is new, she doesn't know. Take it with the manager!" This is the last we heard from anyone. We continued to have a peaceful time, half of our group (that also had pizza and weren't told anything at all, left home) reminder: the pub was still open and busy. After 15 min the Manager came to the table, without any warning, SNATCH my dad's drink from his hand, the table one, and said "I'll be putting that onto plastic glasses. You can leave now" Ridiculous situation. I followed him and complained that we had given permission, even the waitress with huge embarrassment face to the manager attitude, nodded and vocally confirmed "Yes I give them permission". It didn't matter, he brought our drinks outside the pub and proceeded to kick as out, while screaming and being super rude. We then bring the police, not just for the crazy situation but also because while my dad was trying to get back in because my mom and our backs were still inside the Manager PUSH my dad by the shoulders while saying "You're not getting in again". The police refused to make any complaints neither to being kicked out for no reason, nor for receiving physical aggression! Saying.. "they can do what they please on their establishment". Helpless. I never felt so disgusted, disrespected and insulted in my life. We were treated like delinquents!!!!! And through the whole time we had manners and respect! I had the worst evening of my life. PLEASE AVOID THIS PUB AND DON'T ENCOURAGE THEIR DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR WITH ANY MONEY OR BUSINESS. (Disclaimer: The theater has no correlation to this incident.)

EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF!! we went to this pub as it’s branded as an Irish pub. Family were over from Ireland for the weekend so we decided to take a visit. My parents my partner and my sister who’s 17. Middle of the day at 2pm we walked in and when I say the rudest girl started shouting in front the whole pub asking us for ID. Embarrassing enough for her as I’m 27 however I said it was 2pm in the day and my sister who’s 17 we advised we were with our parents and she wouldn’t be drinking. She said the rules only just changed today as Arsenal and spurs were on the television and it was nothing to do with drinking.. bit of a pathetic excuse if you ask me? Anyway she proceeded to turn around and tell us to go to a pub called the box where they would let us do what we want under 18?? She clearly contradicted herself. Anyway we left the pub feeling humiliated. I didn’t quite catch this girls name as she was speaking so rudely and after she passed the smart comment she walked off but she had black curly hair. The pub is known as a family run pub well they should be ashamed to have a staff member like this girl. From reading other reviews here I can see people are having the same issues with rude staff. Would not recommend here to anyone!!! This girl needs a personality upgrade and some basic customer service skills, extremely ignorant!!!

This was a great pub to duck into to get away from the crowds of Camden for a pint or two. I visited on a Thursday around 2PM and it was busy, but not overwhelming. The bartenders were friendly and the beer was cold. The food menu looked great and everything I saw come out of the kitchen was a good portion size. Especially the pizzas! Unfortunately, I wasn’t there to eat, but if I make it back I’ll definitely have a bite next time!

I must say that the staff Becky and Megan were out standing 10 out of 10 atmosphere excellent stays open till 1 o'clock which is late for London

Popped in for a drink. Lovely bar with a nice covered beer garden at the back, perfect for a rainy day. Only wish it had a couple more craft beers. Great service from Mar!

We popped in for a drink while on a 3 days break away, nice pub and the atmosphere seemed nice..service was exceptionally slow with none of the stuff too rushed to get people served despite there being a big crowd at the bar. The barmaid (becca I believe her name was), was so so rude to us and it was completely uncalled for. We were standing at the bar but apparently we shouldn't have been standing where we were if we wanted to get served, didnt really make any sense to us but that was no problem, we just had to move over. however she was confrontational and very very rude. Spoke to us like were idiots. It was so off-putting. She could do with some basic training in dealing with customers..or maybe she just needs a personality transplant.. her attitude stank. We had one drink and left..definitely won't be back especially if she's still working there. I heard the way she spoke to another group of girls. She's clearly a very unhappy member of staff. It's very obvious

Nice pub, I was attracted being Irish myself. Didn’t seem to be much I fancied on the menu, a lot of vegan/veggie stuff, although this is Camden so I guess it’s to be expected. Had a pint of Guinness, and the Oxford Arms burger, which was stated as a Wagyu beef burger, and this very well could have been the case. I couldn’t tell. The burger had been over cooked. Very. There was no moistness or flavour to it. Pint was good though.

I was in here today having a drink and witnessed how colleagues are treated. Absolutely disgusting! I'm guessing he was a manager, he needs to retake his hospitality course!!!!!! Vile and awful. Should be ashamed of yourself!!!!!

Went with my family into Camden and needed a quick drink break to which we were greeted to friendly faced staff who tried their best to serve us as quickly as they could

A pre-booked table for 3 in the canopy covered beer garden protected us from a very rainy day. A call to the pub a couple of days beforehand was very reassuring about that. On arrival, great Covid measures were in place. We had difficulty with the pub's ordering App but instead we were able to order from the waiting staff, which was great. They were very accommodating and managed the table bookings very efficiently. The food was just fab and one of us was able to order the breakfast even though it was after 1pm. They also added extra bacon instead of black pud and mushrooms, which was very nice. Whilst we were waiting for our food to arrive they gave us complimentary halloumi fries, which were simply delicious. My sister had a couple but I ate most of them. Consequently I couldn't eat the fries that came with my burger but it didn't matter. The burger was stunning too, homemade from great Irish beef and you could taste the quality. Good quality British beef would have been equally as good, of course. My sister raved about her fish and chips as well. All in all, we had a very enjoyable afternoon in a Covid safe environment. Thanks to all the hard working staff for keeping us safe and good luck during the next lockdown later in the week. We hope to see you again after that.

Nice to be able to have veggie bangers and mash 🔥 the sausages taste like veggies, not like fake meat ones, they’re yummy. Veggie lasagna very pesto-y, nice too!

Pudimos probar una mesa mientras estábamos cansados de deambular por las multitudes de las fiestas navideñas.Pedimos el bistec y patatas fritas y mi esposa tenía el desayuno inglés.El bistec estaba perfectamente sazonado y a la parrilla y tenía un sabor auténtico maravilloso (entre el mejor bistec en nuestra estancia de 2 semanas en Londres).El desayuno inglés de mi esposa tampoco me decepcionó.Mis patatas fritas estaban perfectamente fritas mientras mantenían esa textura interna perfecta.Lugar encantador de comida!

Intentando rápidamente encontrar un lugar para la segunda mitad de la final de la Copa Mundial de rugby, los brazos de Oxford parecían apisonados. Genial, en algún lugar con atmósfera con el apoyo de ambos países.Se esperaba una larga cola para tomar bebidas, así como la grosería de la gente local abriéndose paso. Por supuesto, son mejores que otros, ¿verdad?Ambiente increible. La zona de fumadores era el único lugar donde quedaba pararse. Los desayunos servidos se veían geniales. Definitivamente recomendado para eventos deportivos!

Busy pub with good beer selection. We went on a Saturday night around 10pm. Place was packed and lively. We had a couple of beers but no food. Bartenders were pleasant. It was fun for a beer.

I visited the Oxford Arms as part of a group of nine, for breakfast. In fairness to the place - for a reasonably large group to arrive on a busy Sunday morning in Camden, it was good that there was availability.

Ibamos de camino al mercado de Camdem y le dije a mi hija que pasáramos a comer. Muy bien de precio y estupenda comida. Sofía tomó una muy generosa brocheta de pollo con patatas y yo un pastel de car e con Stilton. Los pubs en Londres son geniales para comer.

A pranzo sono entrato a caso in questo pub, senza leggere su TripAdvisor (non lo faccio quasi mai). Birre molto buone e di tante varietà alla spina. Sono dovuto andare io ad ordinare al banco in quanto il cameriere serviva solo nei tavoli in giardino esterno. Abbiamo mangiato due panini con fettina di carne con chips e verdura fresca. Debbo dire che la carne era molto saporita e tenera, le verdure buone con la salsina agrodolce appropriata. Tutto fatto al momento e nulla di già preparato, visto l’attesa e la qualità niente male. Il cameriere ci ha portato i piatti appena pronti, quindi un minimo di servizio lo ha reso. Il conto è stato 29.15 £ comprensivo di due birre.

El pastel en el tablero de ofertas especiales es realmente casero y vale la pena comerlo. El personal es amable, si algunos de ellos no tienen un buen dominio del inglés. Los refrescos son bastante caros (2.70 por media cola) pero los precios de los alimentos son competitivos.

Um pub típico neste bairro tão cheio de vida e criatividade. A comida é razoável e a preços acessíveis. Tem um toque caseiro, mas não brilha. Há boa cerveja. O serviço é um pouco desatento, mas a cozinha é rápida. Há um pequeno pátio interior onde se pode fumar.

I’m working in London and I’m staying close to The Oxford Arms. It’s become my second home. Warm, welcoming and delightful staff. The food is really good and great value for money. Nice garden/smoking area outside with heaters. I like it. 👍🤓

Premetto che mi soffermo in questi locali per una pausa degustazione birra. Non posso quindi dare giudizi sul lato cucina. L’ambiente è tranquillo per un attimo di pace nel trambusto del quartiere mercato.

Buen local para ver el fútbol y mal servicio. Entramos a pedir cinco pintas que a seis libras no está mal y a ver unos minutos el Tottenham- Arsenal. En menos de seis minutos , al terminar mi consumición, mientras esperaba a los demás para irnos la empleada con mala educación viene a decirme que una consumición es muy poco! Si se diesen igual de prisa para poner las cervezas que para exigir que bebamos más, este local funcionaría mejor. No lo recomiendo .

The Oxford Arms has become our pub of choice for pre-match drinks due to the Ice Wharf opposite becoming smoker unfriendly in the garden. The Oxford Arms is a Mayo pub, but not themed (thank god) and remains a traditional pub in the heart of Camden. Upon entering you see one large room, with a reasonably long bar in front of you and seating to the right, a short passageway after the bar leads to the toilets and back yard. The pub is uncluttered with a specials board on the wall, and couple of humorous signs behind the bar. The bar itself has many local and nationally brewed beers on tap, and a well stocked selection of spirits especially Gin. The food menu is the usual pub fare with 3 specials which change each day. The back yard is completely covered with a retractable canopy and electric heaters, and seats around 40 people with a large TV to watch sports. We usually visit weekdays in the early afternoon and the service is normally very friendly, and I have never had the bad experience described by some other reviewers. Back to the menu which contains the usual Jacket Potatoes, Fish & Chips, Burgers, Sausage & Mash, Ham, Egg & Chips, and Steak & Chips, among a few others, the Specials always look interesting. Prices range from £5.50 for a Jacket Potato up to £14.95 for Sirloin Steak, with Sunday Roast coming in at £11.95. From the back yard you can see into the kitchen, a lot of the food is cooked fresh, you can watch the food being cooked, and there is (to the Chef's credit) only one Microwave Oven. As a smoker I always judge a pub by the way it can accommodate us, and The Oxford Arms excels with the back yard, as I earlier noted it is comfortable, covered and warm, even in winter, and the large TV allows you to watch your favourite sports as well. I have never visited The Oxford Arms at night, so I cannot comment on the atmosphere then, but during the day it is always relaxed and friendly. Food and drink prices are very reasonable, especially considering that The Oxford Arms is situated in the heart of a tourist hotspot. The draught beer is seemingly well kept and I have never had a bad pint, with the selection of spirits keeping everybody happy. If you are in the area and want a drink, and/or some cheapish and cheerful food, pop into The Oxford Arms, you could go far more wrong.

I have been a frequent customer in The Oxford Arms and never had a problem! I actually quite liked the place, until tonight that is!! The female boss, I believe her name is Caroline, was the worst experience I've ever had with bar staff in my life. As an experienced bartender I know to always be friendly to customers(unless they are causing trouble), and especially the regulars as they are supporting your business the most. I don't think this woman is suited to bar work at all as she was incredibly rude. She refused to serve me for absolutely no reason, I had had no drinks at all at this stage I was completely sober,i was friendly and respectful, as were my friends. We went outside maybe 2 or 3 times for a cigarette and upon returning she told us we needed to leave because we were coming in and out too often. The most shocking excuse I've ever heard, we were extremely confused and embarrassed as she actually shouted it at us in an extremely rude manner. I will never set foot in here again unless there's a change in management..such a shame for me to have to write this as it was one of my favourite pubs in Camden. If you have any sense you will stay away from it, it ruined our night completely!! What a way to treat your customers, disgusting!!

Servicio terrible La desagradable señora del bar se negó a servirme una bebida después de un vaso de vino por considerarme erróneamente "tener demasiado". Mis otros dos amigos y yo al principio nos sorprendimos y no creímos lo que estábamos escuchando. Luego preguntamos por el gerente y se me mintió descaradamente sobre "tropiezo" cuando entré. . Una mentira absoluta ya que estaba sobria de piedra. . Ni siquiera remotamente borracho. En serio, no sé si tenían un aganda para deshacerse de mis amigos y de mí o de que simplemente hicieron un juicio terriblemente equivocado.

La gerente intentó patear a mis dos amigas y yo a los cinco minutos de pararnos en el pub (porque no había asientos). Cuando pedimos comprar bebidas, ella inventó un precio exorbitante por una bebida y mintió acerca de tener algún menú. Cuando ella finalmente se movió, pudimos ver un menú en la pared. Rudo ruidoso y abrasivo. Esta barra desordenada es MUY SELECTIVA con la que sirven. No he visto este horrible servicio al cliente en años.

Este es tu lugar si quieres disfrutar de tu noche en Camden Town, personal amable, buena música, gente amigable, la mayoría de la gente es habitual. Cierra alrededor de las 2, lo que hace que tu noche sea un poco más larga que en otros pubs. Definitivamente un buen lugar para estar en Camden

Pour un English breakfast classique mais bon, et surtout copieux, c'est le lieu idéal, surtout pour prendre des forces avant d'affronter la foule de Camden Town.

As I walked in with an empty sandwich wrapper that I had picked up in the doorway a rude female member of your staff screamed at me that we are not allowed our own food here. I was simply trying to make your pub tidy and was ushered outside in a most inappropriate manor towards the bin.

I was in the pub terrace with friends to see a football match, I've been to the place many times before and I always like it but this time was different.

Stumbled across this little pub, nice atmosphere, food wasnt bad and reasonably priced. Toilets could do with a bit of a clean though. Beer gardens more just an outside space. They do have the football on though!

Pub davvero carino nel cuore di Camden. Quando vivevo a Londra praticamente ero a Camden tutte le sere. Avevo voglia di mangiarmi le Jacket potatoes e, dopo aver chiesto in un altro paio di pub, mi sono fermato lì. Cucina buona, cose fatte al momento e si sente. Non sono un grande esperto di birra...ma avevano la Carling che in Italia non riesco mai a trovare. Delizioso il cortile esterno...c'era il sole ed è stato bello sedersi e mangiare all'aperto. Servizio efficace...prezzi molto buoni.

I visited The Oxford Arms on a Saturday Evening and I enjoyed a pint of real ale. Decent beer at a decent price and the atmosphere was good also. Well worth a visit.

Llamamos los viernes por la tarde y pidió vino pero no tenían copas de vino y el camarero nos fuimos a recoger las mesas sucias de pub. Nos íbamos a la parte de arriba del teatro y tiempo conseguir corto.

Fuimos un sábado por la noche con amigos. Si quieres un lugar ruidoso y divertido, animado, esto es para ti. Nunca había probado la comida, pero parecía como si de costo promedio. Personalmente me pareció demasiado llena hacer mi gusto y la música no me ven hasta tarde.

Corner pub opposite the Elephants Head. Busy pub with first class service. Ales are always good and standing room only most of the time. Lots of wobbly tables on a cramped seating area . On the main road and always sport on tv. Good outside drinking area. Well worth a visit.

Recientemente un amigo y local en Camden fue visitado este pub amd de salir y no volver, debido a su discapacidad y los propietarios "no quieren lidiar con él".

Just left this decent enough pub - the girl behind the bar is an absolute joke - smashing glasses, taking your glass and not asking if you want another - I sat at the bar and had to stand up and go to the middle to get a pint - the one time I did ask she said "I'll get it in a while" - made me feel uncomfortable. Two customers left because they could not get her attention - I left to go across the road after a couple came in asking for a white wine & a pint - she put the pint in front of the girl and the wine in front of the bloke - you couldn't make it up - just to be sure there was 3 girls on and she had black hair.

Camden Locks is an interesting attraction. What we didn't count on was that so many folks would think the same. Camden Towne was jammed with thousands of people. We looked around for a couple of hours and then succumbed to starvation. Most of the many restauranst were jammed. By luck of the draw we stumbled in to the Oxford Arms, a pretty pub right on the corner. It was half full and offered an oasis of calm in the storm of humanity. Good ale and great food for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

We went here on a Saturday while on a day out in Camden. The pub is nice inside and also has a nice outside area. It has a good atmosphere. The food is delicious and very big portions.

Dejó aquí para comer un bocado y una pinta. Decidí ir por la hamburguesa y patatas fritas y este llegó después de unos 15 minutos. Todo estaba bien hecha y el servicio era bueno. Nada de especial el establecimiento para está bien si estás buscando algo de comer y una pinta o dos.

Visité los brazos Oxford el sábado por la tarde y disfrutamos de una pinta maldito Bar. Agradable London Pub, estaba bastante concurrida, pero me sirvieron rápidamente y un ambiente agradable.

Geräumig, einladende, sympathische Atmosphäre mit netter Bedienung. Relativ große Auswahl, leider aber zu einem großen Teil internationale Biere, die man halt so kennt. Nur vier englische Biere und Guinness, bei zweien der englischen Biere, waren (wir waren allerdings, das muss ich der Fairness halber sagen, montags mittags da), die Fässer leer. Von den beiden, die übrig blieben, haben wir dann das Lokale aus Camden Town probiert, das schmeckte aber eher wie ein normales Pils, nix Weltbewegendes. Da ich nicht nach London fahre, um Heineken, Becks oder Fosters zu trinken, leider nur mittelprächtig.

Yo tienden a permanecer lejos de los pubs alrededor del mercado de Camden aunque este es donde yo vivo, sin embargo he encontrado los pubs de la ciudad, en la carretera de Kentish y ya no tienen ambiente son a menudo vacías de gente y la gente en general.

They serve full English, or veggie breakfast, through most of the day. It's a bit pricey but OK and if you ask them nicely you can have breakfast outside of the regular hours. Good pub grub.

Pub au coeur de Camden typiquement anglais, cependant les alcools type vodka sont cher et très mal servi, dans le sens où vous ne gouttez pas l'alcool. C'est juste bien pour se prendre un bonne pint.

Came here after mooching round Camden Locks for a pint and ended up having some food too. Friendly staff and good selection of drinks and food. Good job!

What a lovely friendly pub great staff n food I had a ploughman with ham n cheese can't go wrong one of my friends had the soup was gorgeous homemade n my other friend had homemade steak pie n veg was also lovely

Came here for a quick drink and to rest our feet. Nice venue and atmosphere, prices are quite high though, was over £11 for 2 pints and a soft drink. Witnesses an extremely rude customer arguing with the bar staff that she hasn't been served yet but a young Irish girl had only just started her shift so had no idea who was next. The customer was arguing with her and being extremely rude and the girl on the bar eventually refused to serve her and she had to leave. Good for her!!!

terrible service, staff have an awful attitude.Don't go here is you want to buy a drink or enjoy your evening!
