An amazing establishment which is a must for all RAF Officers to visit, even if only for a fleeting visit whilst visiting London, it is a delight to experience.

The place is dirty. Pieces of food and crumbs on the tables, chairs, sofas. Also the staff do not seem to take empty plates, cups after a client is leaving, ending up sitting and finding dirty plates, and pieces of food on tables and seats. The vibe and coffee was good but they would do much better with cleanness.

Have been using this place for many years. I moved away from London and whenever I come back to London I always grab Rock and chips (can't get it up in Hartlepool). I was very pleased with the meal I purchased and will return back when next in Ha well.

I cannot believe that I am just now leaving the review! We have visited in December as a surprise birthday treat for me. There is not much to say apart from perfection! I am not surprised by their first star, and I can imagine myself them getting more in future. The standard is just so high. Food was incredible, creative, but also very familiar in a way. Fun but also not relying on theatre to deliver. The taste truly comes first and presentation is there to elevate, which was just wonderfully balanced. The sake is just incredible. The service was on just as high standard as food. We felt very comfortable, looked after but not overbearing. I could go on and on how wonderful this all was, but really it’s just better to go visit by yourself if you have a chance

Highly recommend this place! Definitely one of the best fish and chip shops I’ve been to. The fish was freshly cooked, the batter was crispy and the portions were perfect. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the premises were spotless, very clean. Will definitely go back..

English owned and very nice food

Ordered the Roma sandwich/toastie and my friend ordered the carbonara pasta for lunch. Absolutley incredible flavour, good portion sizes and great prices. I honestly want to go back as often as I can and try all the other sandwiches listed - fast and friendly service, clean, and you can see/tell they put the effort into doing it all properly.

Vine aquí para el desayuno de haber estado localmente la noche. La descripción utilizada ganador Michael "histórico" en vez mucho, pero creo que es una palabra bien merecida para el desayuno aquí. El personal es encantador y amable. El café llegó rápidamente, y excelente. Yo tenía el desayuno estándar con la adición de morcilla y croquetas de patata. Llego bien presentado y muy bien cocinado. La morcilla fue, sin lugar a dudas, el mejor que he comido al sur de la brecha de Watford y todos los ingredientes en el plato eran de alta calidad. Comer este desayuno es algo que estaría muy contento de distraer la atención de mi ruta para hacer, y por algunas distancia considerable. La factura, con un taza de café llegó a 14 libras, que puede parecer un poco alto, pero en realidad fue muy buena relación calidad-precio.

Service is exceptional, fish is also exceptional, truly one of the best, if not the best fish dishes I have ever had, that is including fish dishes at Alan Ducasse which is three Michelin stars and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay which is two stars. How this place doesn’t have a star is quite surprising. The only very slight let down is the beef/ meat offering, not really on par with the fish and although good, nothing to shout about. Ambiance is great too and good wine menu.

Toda la experiencia fue fabulosa. La bienvenida fue amable, nuestra camarera italiana era una alegría absoluta, muy conocedor y un verdadero cable en vivo. Las recomendaciones de comida fueron puntuales, uno de los mejores filetes que he probado. Gracias por cuidar de nosotros, nos lo pasamos muy bien y sin duda volveremos.

Awesome visit, the audio makes it all the better

Resto très sympa et original, ambiance cafétéria. On commande au comptoir, on prend son plateau et on nous donne notre assiette remplie. La spécialité : les boules de purée façon glace avec les "pies" : tourte avec une grosse pâte, dans laquelle se trouve une bouillie de viande hachée avec de la sauce. Ne pas hésiter à demander la sauce supplémentaire avant de payer, sinon ils ne la rajoutent pas dans l'assiette. C'est bon, pour de la nourriture anglaise, rien de gastronomique cependant.
