Best salt beef sandwich I’ve ever had- been raving about it for days. Really juicy, just fabulous. Friendly staff too, will definitely return on my next lunch break

Ate here today for lunch. Ordered a plain salt beef bagel and a banana slice. Salt beef bagel slightly more expensive than Brick Lane Beigel (£5.90), but definitely made up for it with the quantity of salt beef and it being so filling. Also, the whole bagel was hot and with butter too. Banana bread I was allowed to choose which slice I wanted and it was delicious with a good sugary crust. 5/5 in all respects. The staff addressed me as Sir throughout and were thoroughly polite.

Best place to get your breakfast and lunch. Great freshly made food delivered with a smile. Try the carrot and cinnamon cake - it's epic!

Amigos has recently become a staple for my friends and myself - the breakfast menu and options for lunch are well priced, have a huge range of options and insanely tasty! I look forward to coming back for brunch in the coming days!

Well priced, top quality sandwiches! The breakfast menu is also fantastic- generally a massive range to choose from at Amigos. Service is top quality too- very personable, would recommend!

Probably one of the best London "lunchtime food"-like places. A huge choice of sandwiches, daily soups, and several pasta dishes. The staff is always super nice and the food is fantastic.

Excellent choice for a lunch that's a cut above all the usual places. Loads to choose from, both hot and cold, and all look really tasty. Friendly and helpful service too. Will definitely return to try some of the other dishes.

Lovely cafe for breakfast or lunch. Repeatedly had various pasta options and it was quick and delicious. However what you really have to try is the Salt beef in Rye with Mustard and gherkins. If I choose to treat myself at lunch time, that's what I'll go for any day!

I work in the area and regularly visit this establishment. The service is warm, welcoming, and very much personalised. The premises are ALWAYS spotless. They run an incredibly tight ship and never take their eyes of the ball when it comes to processing orders and getting food out efficiently. It started off as a breakfast spot for me but I now regularly pick up lunch there in place of visiting the usual chains. Last but not least the food is fantastic. Amazing range, fresh , homemade, tasty, great value. It never looks like they have put out sandwich fillings or leftovers from the day before. Everything looks like it was prepared that morning if not directly in front of you as you order. I really can’t commend this place enough. It has totally changed my perception of a ‘cafe’ and is often what gets me through my commute!! Hats of to the lovely gentlemen that run this place and all their staff. Perfection.

Le petit déjeuner est très bon. Les produits sont frais. Nous y avons aussi déjeuner la lasagne est excellente et servi avec des frites et de la salade. Les salades sont généreuses et servies avec du pain beurré (salé). Le service est excellent, si vous avez trop commandé, on vous emballe le tout dans une boîte. Une adresse à garder.

Great food, great people and great service!

As a group of work colleagues we eat here regularly, and its our go to place for good food at a good price. Its the best cafe by far in the area. Huge breakfasts and not a spot of grease in sight. Chicken escalope bap and the huge jackets are to die for. Immaculately clean and the friendliest service. Advisable to book if you want a table in the restaurant downstairs as it does get busy.

Recently moved to the area for work and I love this place. The owners/staff work incredibly hard and really care to achieve and maintain high standards both in food and service.. I found they're closed for ten days over the summer; it almost feels like a bereavement. The good things people have written - all true.

With my team we went to amigos every friday for bacon rolls and I went there many times for lunch or take away. The food if fresh and tasty, the service is very good and friendly. We changed office and now I miss this place and their excellent breakfast.

Great sandwiches and lovely people. After being a semi-regular customer for a few months, I didn't go in for more than a year when working elsewhere. When I came back, they greeted me by name, asked if I wanted my usual and remembered what it was. That would have been great anywhere, but it's pretty unbeatable in central London.

I've worked in Amigos for almost two years a long time ago. What can I say. First of all, beautiful owners that always helped me when i needed, always. They care about the food they serve you, that i can guarantee. The food is always fresh, the staff literally starts at 6am just so everything is fresh and ready to go for service at lunch time. If you are in the area, you should totally try. Salt beef is very nice but i personally always enjoyed the chicken escallops. A good baguette with their home made roast beef, rocket and olive oil is also outstanding! All the best Peter and Steve José Góis

I work near this eatery and have had many a great breakfast and lunch with them. The workers are amazingly warm and friendly and the establishment has been a mainstay over the years. However, Amigos is not concerned with queues and will serve anyone who barges in and makes it to the counter first. As a result, myself and others have been overlooked too many times. As such a popular eatery, Amigos has the clout to DEMAND that people form orderly queues to make it fair for everyone. The crowd is nearly out the door at lunchtimes and is a testament to how beloved this restaurant is. Amigos therefore do themselves a disservice if they don't see it necessary to maintain order amongst patrons. I've been going for so long that it's a shame that I'm now starting not to, just for this reason.

Without doubt, the best omelette I have ever had. Service is great as well and you can tell how hard the staff all work as it's a professional outfit that are friendly and efficient. Recommended.

The service is great. It is a busy little place but they get to you quickly. I often have a takeaway but sometimes I eat in with friends and the food is always hot and fresh.

I stumbled upon this lovely little sandwich bar by accident. Tucked out of the way like most of the little gems you find to eat at. The warmth and friendliness hits you like a tonne of bricks the minute you enter the door. Always happy service making a great fuss and the food is out of this world. I'm insuring I go back every time to make my way through their delicious menu. Everything I have eaten here so far is top notch and so unexpectedly delicious and so well presented. My personal favourite is the salt beef sandwich, served on a fluffy Rye bread laced with a punchy English mustard and gherkin. The salt beef is so tender and perfectly cooked it literally falls part in your mouth. Definitely a must go on central London.

Amigos, a cafe. Mickey, a customer. Food is my ambition but I can’t eat here. I am distracted to Hell by the lovely waitress. She climbs the steps to the cash till. She comes back again! She has unfinished business to conduct. Like taking my order. With a pencil perched between her fingers on one hand, and the little white order book in her other equally beautiful hand, she says “what may I fetch you, Sir”. Oh those words keep me awake at night, oh her face reminds me of eternally of the spaghetti bolognaise I once ate there. The parmesan cheese makes me fantasise about the confetti at our wedding to come. “How many sugars, Darlin’?”

Amazing team deliver a great range of daytime meals and takeaway items (including business lunch for delivery) Try their breakfasts - what a way to start your day! I have been a regular for 3 years - nowhere else locally comes close. Pity I don't work closer now!

I stumbled across this cafe by accident one day and Im so glad I did. I've been eating here everyday for the past 3 weeks. Food is alway fresh and full of flavour, customer service is tremendous and price is reasonable considering we're in central London. Keep up the great work guys.

Managed to sample quite a selection of things on the menu whilst staying in the area, the staff are always friendly and the food is always fresh and tasty. After sampling most of the local sandwich bars Amigos is definitely the best, give it a try you won’t be disappointed and the prices are pretty reasonable.

Amigos is great! They do sandwiches, jacket potatoes, salads, soups and some hot dishes (pasta, lasagne, etc). They are open for breakfast and lunch; take-away and eat-in (seating area downstairs).Oh, and they have the best coffee this side of the Thames!
