The best restaurants serving British food in London

Vinimos a tomar unas copas después de bajar del tubo y muy rápidamente decidimos quedarnos a comer también. Nos dieron una cálida bienvenida, tenía un gran servicio y la comida era absolutamente fantástico. Puedo recomendar encarecidamente The Belle Vur, Clapham Common

Arrived at 3.30pm and restaurant still had people in but could see staff looked liked they were packing up. Ordered tuna melt and 2 teas price outrageous just under £20! Food arrived had to send back as was semi cold staff didnt seem to care. Food came back warm. During our time in restaurant could here an argument in the kitchen and heard "what they expect to come in here at 4 and then complain" obvious was talking about us as they pointed and looked in our direction. When we left I said have you a problem ? They looked sheepish and said if you want to slag your customers off maybe do it quietly and dont point at us when someone asks who you were talking about and get your facts right we did not complain - would you eat semi hot food. No. They did say sorry just had busy day said no excuse. Wont be visiting again.

Great food great value great staff all round greatness. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for something special.

In the title, Needs better ventilation,damp windows,dirty walls ,basic average salty food. Server needs to not put his fingers on the rim of your mug of tea , bit off putting. Not expensive.

A mí y a mi hija nos encanta el hielo. Los hemos tenido a lo largo de los años y solo mejora. También es uno de los rollitos de helado que hemos comido. Nuestro favorito es una mezcla de Nutella y Oreo.

Gran lugar! La mejor comida en clapham. El propietario está allí todos los días y se puede ver que él está orgulloso de su negocio. Mi esposo y yo encontramos este bonito bar el día de San Valentín. ¡Era perfecto, privado y hermoso! Incluso pudimos elegir canciones de blues para mi esposo y para mí. El personal era amable, servicial y educado con muchas sonrisas. Pedimos comida especial - ostras y langostinos empanados para empezar. Simplemente perfecto. Nos encantó. Estamos planeando una visita allí para el Día del Padre por la gracia de Dios.

Great pub for vegan pub grubm very reasonable priced, even cheaper if you take food to donate to their foodbank collections. Fried offerings, and vegan burgers. Polenta fries are great, as is Mac cheese, oh ok and the vegan fish burger with kim chi

Sorry to say that MadDog is more than a little disappointed after eating here last week. My No2 breakfast is just as good as ever, but............... ........£12 for a breakfast is in MadDogs opinion just a bit too much. Good hot and filling, yes, but this is a cafe and you don't even get a drink with it! Every where else can do an equivalent with a tea or coffee or a poured soft drink. Think like the pub chains locally that offer a buffet with cereals ,fruit, yoghurt and juices. unlimited hot drinks all for £10-99. MadDog reviewed The Puddle in 2019 and the same breakfast was £6-50, so you do the maths here. The lunch items seem to have risen in price much slower and to a much lesser degree. MadDog likes going to the Puddle, but fears it will soon be too expensive so, only three blobs this time.. MadDog says don't be tight with the drinks!!

Normally really impressed with service and value in Wetherspoons pubs, however, this was an exception. We ordered 2 pizzas and waited over 30 minutes for our food to arrive (usually Wetherspoons are really quick). When it did arrive, it was plonked in front of us with only a knife each, I realise lots of people eat pizza with their hands (as do I on occasions) however, it was quite a sloppy one, so we asked if we could please have forks. The server rolled her eyes and said she’d she what she could do, but it would be at least 10 minutes. To bring 2 forks??! After 10 mins we asked another bartender, who was polite, but could only give us 1 fork to share, as the others were being washed! Good job I hadn’t ordered a full English with beans. At the end I commented to a third bartender that we had only had 1 fork, only to receive another eye roll and sarcastic “sorry”. The pizza and drinks tasted good and were good value.

Branché, pas typique pour un sou; mais des sous, vous en dépenserez, comme souvent à Londres mais vous pouvez trouver largement trouver plus typique ailleurs, moins industriel et moins cher aussi, avec un meilleur accueil.

Me quedo aquí regularmente. El personal siempre es amable y el desayuno es una verdadera ganga. Hay una selección de bebidas (té, café, agua con jugo), plato principal (tocino, tostadas de queso, etc.) y fruta. Muy buen valor para un 5

Mrs MadDog says she's going to treat me here at AL's/Roys as it's been a long while?? So after the shock of what I thought she meant we sit down for Double Pie , Double Mash and liquor(£10). Price is reasonable when you are paying £12 for a kebab ,and you don't get a table to sit at, or a nice lady to serve it. Also P and M comes on a plate. Excellent Pie and Mash here further enhanced by chili vinegar and a touch of white pepper. Worthy of note is the pastry used by Al's which is probably the best ever on a pie, slightly crisp, flakey and good flavour.. MadDog has made a lot of pastry in his long career, but can't compete with this 'Clacker', well done everyone!! MadDog says 'Proper Grub'.
