It’s Halal food … We ordered calamari , prawn and the traditional fish and chips dish . It’s really really delicious. The staff are so friendly and welcoming.. love the place.. definitely coming back again and will recommend it to everybody .. thank you :)

Caro, olor a aceite en todo el restaurante y Extremely Loud Live Jazz para un ambiente absolutamente no romántico, el ambiente no era bueno, PROMEDIO de pescado y papas fritas pero sobre precio, Sillas muy incómodas y lugar simplemente mal organizado.

Alta calidad. Gran tamaño de platos. Gran precio para Londres. Lugar para recomendar y visitar sin duda una vez que estemos en Londres. Salud.

Cod & chips, loved the batter. Was hoping to hear the band but we left early. Great place to chill on a saturday night. We were there early and booked ahead. Always a crowd at Poppies!

For a sea food restaurant, the fish needs to be freshly cooked, when the meals turned up in less than 5 minutes, if indicated that it was just reheated, the white bate was subsequently overlooked, the golden batter was almost black. They need to lift their game.

Since I am Greek this food was at least bad! Very expensive and not tasteful!3people we paid 80£.In Greece with 80£-100€ you eat the best fresh fish and very tasteful.also the service is not polite...for sure I will not visit them again..

Went here with some friends over from NYC - so they could try typical fish and chips. Two of our friends are vegetarian and we checked at the door that there was a vegetarian option on the menu and were shown that there was a vegetarian pasty. So we confidently went in and were shown to a table upstairs. Our orders were taken which included two of the vegetarian pasties - unfortunately the waiter, Ryan had to come and tell us that there was only one pasty to be had. Luckily one of our vegetarian friends didn't mind eating fish. This is why I have marked 4 for the review, everything else was great. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The cocktails were very nice and the food was good too. Our waiter Ryan was especially friendly and helpful. There is a definite "American diner" feel to this restaurant. They also had live music too.

From walking in, I loved the atmosphere here! I had the mushy peas and fish and chips (haddock). Delish!!!

Ci siamo fermati con amici e famiglie a mangiare da Poppies. E' andato tutto benissimo, il cibo era ottimo e anche i bambini si sono divertiti tantissimo. Lo consiglio davvero a chiunque si trovi a Londra in questo quartiere

This is the second time at Poppies for us. Must say that the first time was a better experience. The food was okey. The service also okey. Didn't like that the staff stood in a line next to our table waiting for something to do, while we were eating. Some guy, maybe the manager, were questioning a girl in the staff right next to our table aswell. A bit awkward.

You get a nice welcome by the staff at this place, but I just don't think that it really is value for money. I cannot remember the actual price for a large fish and chips, but really it was not worth it (maybe £16). I had been oince before and not really rated it, but others had said that it was great so I went again. Far from the worst fish and chips that I have ever had, but not really that great or special.

There was a gentleman at the door welcoming incoming visitors, entertaining those already inside, I thought he was brilliant. Made everyone felt at home, it was as if going to his house party instead of a restaurant. He plays the role of waiter too if required. Service was swift. The food was great but I don't think it is the best fish and chips around. Would come again nevertheless.

My husband and I had large cod and chips at £16.95 each and it was absolutely disgusting, the batter was dry and overlooked. The cod, if it really was, was thin, flat and tasteless. Tasted just like Cheap frozen fish you can buy in any supermarket. We only live around the corner and have used it in the past, have not been there for quite a while and the standard of the food has dropped dramatically. When we complained there was not even an apology. Never again, vile food and bad service.

the classic chain for the true British fish and chips experience. Traditional interior, nothing fancy, but great selection of fish dishes. Can't go wrong with the traditional fried cod. Fast service, but not fast food, fish is always fresh and excellent quality

I was expecting the best fish & chips ever after reading some great reviews, but alas it was not to be. The food was not bad, it was just average and I don't see what all the hype is about. The presentation of the food was nice though.

Absolutely fantastic best jellied eels I've had in a long time. Rock and chips well let's say rock on! Alper our server was a charming professional and we enjoyed everything about this dining experience.
