Rafkins in Camden

Estuve alojandome varios dias en el hotel Maitrise Maida Vale, y como este restaurante estaba practicamente dentro del hotel, he comido/cenado aqi un par de veces. La comida super buena, no tienen mucha variedad en la carta, pero todo lo que pedimos estaba delicioso. El personal super simpatico y atento. Y el precio bastante bien.

Hemos estado desayunando y cenando aquí durante una semana. La comida está muy buena, el personal nos ha tratado muy bien y han sido todos muy amables.

Have been here a while back ! Very cosy and new young staff made us feel comfortable. Happy with the recommendations this time. They might change the menu adding more veg options.

I'm staying in the Marriott across the road, and decided to come for breakfast as a change from the restaurant there. An English breakfast here was £12.95, and was of a similar if not slightly worse standard to an English breakfast at Wetherspoons, which I think is £3 including coffee. Very cheap sausages, grey and fairly cold bacon (I should have taken a picture of this). I believe it was advertised with hash browns - there were none (I wasn't fussed, but nevertheless). The place was practically empty yet both staff were inattentive - I fetched my own menu and had to find them to pay at the end, having sat reading for 20 minutes nobody came over. On the positive side, it's a nice enough room, and the coffee was good - but for over £15 total, value is extremely poor considering the multitude of places this would get you a really good breakfast. Looking at the reviews, perhaps evening food is better.

Good English style food and friendly people. We ate here two nights in a row during our weekend in London. Highly recommend eating here. Thank you Andreas.

We visited this restaurant whilst staying at the hotel. I was in London with my 10 yr old daughter and staying in the hotel. I ordered the tagliatelle, presentation was superb and the dish was very tasty! My daughter being a typical child and feeling a bit tired only wanted chips, nothing was too much trouble, the staff were friendly and personable, and the atmosphere was relaxed and peaceful. The biggest surprise of all was the bill, really reasonable cost, I would recommend anyone staying at the hotel or just passing by pop in for something to eat! Will be visiting again

Giorgia made us delicious cappuccinos and americanos everyday while we were staying in Kilburn Park last week. Very friendly and prompt service.

Hot fresh , served quickly just what we needed after along day in town. The restaurant has a great selection of hot food to choose from, bar snacks as well as a great choice of cakes and hot drinks for afternoon tea.

Nice breakfast when I stayed at their hotel . Helpful bunch of people! It looks stylish though in the evening.. didn’t have time to have dinner. Anyways trying to book for 31st December.

Was here for breakfast for 4 days. We are 4 in family and was well looked after everyday. They might start afternoon tea which we wish they do. Had only once dinner and drinks. Good Italian food and liked their cocktails.

Abbiamo pranzato al Rafkins qualche giorno fa in coppia. Luogo accogliente, personale efficiente, cibo nella media.

During my stay at the hotel in really enjoyed the bar area, great service was provided. The food was amazing and the cocktails made my dinner even better. The staff are really nice and friendly

Great place, clean, staff friendly and excellent food, recommended cocktails. Just few minutes to apply at reception according to others hotel. Room not too big but cute, tube station closed to the hotel. It was a perfect holiday, I will come again!!

My friends and I had dinner at this restaurant. Excellent dishes, we tasted a bit of everything between Italians, burgers and desserts. Friendly staff and prepared bar. Easy to reach.

Was quite impressed with the bar & lounge . Quite trendy looking with cheerful people. Italian food is good and they are generous with the portion. I had mojito which was really fresh and well presented. Good recommendation from receptionist when I stated with their hotel

During my stay in the hotel I had a delicious breakfast everyday! The full English breakfast was the best ever. All the servers are friendly and during evening time you can enjoy the best cocktail made from Antreas.

Estuve hospedado en este hotel por 3 días teniendo desayuno incluido, estaba muy rica sinceramente no me decepcionó para nada tanto como la comida y la cena fantastica, se lo aconsejo porque esta razón y dan un descuento al hospedado en el hotel optando a bebida gratis.

Came here on a Monday and had the special - any burger and a drink for £12. Food was excellent and the restaurant has a lively atmosphere. I was served by Alessandra, very polite and attentive. Will be coming back whenever I stay in the area!

While i was there in Maitrise hotel we went for dinner in their restaurant called Rafkins. Nice ambience and more over they were serving cocktails.we were tired so desided to have dinner. Enjoyed the lovely steak just the way i requested rare medium. Thanks to reception for recommending their restaurant on check-in. Quick service abd reasonable price..

If you are like me and thought that a normal Spaghetti Aglio Olio could be just that - you are in for a surprise. The chef here can jazz it up and make it something entirely new - and super delicious. Must try. Do let me know your spice palette just in case.

Me enfermé después de comer en el hotel en la comida de la noche. no te quedes en el hotel que se unió a ellos.

Mi novio y yo hemos estado en el Best Western de al lado y pensamos en probar de abajo para la cena. Ambos ordenados tamaño carne rara y la porción era posible que tanto nos alegramos en porque eran 14 libras cada uno. Por desgracia mi carne era demasiado difícil para mí y yo tuve que enviar de regreso a la camarera que estaba en no entendía muy bien el inglés, como cuando intentaron explicar que era demasiado difícil para mí que ella no obtener lo que quiere decir, tuve que explicar un par de veces antes de que entendió. Tuve otro problema al final, cuando pregunté si la comida sería poner en la factura del hotel, la señora de nuevo no entender así que tuve que explicar un par de veces.

Hospédese en el hotel de manera regular y muchas de las críticas negativas reflejan cuán pobre era y no cómo es ahora. Esto no es de alta calidad, pero ahora está bien preparado comidas sabrosas a buenos precios. El menú es simple pero tiene variedad y el mostrador siempre sirve deliciosos pasteles y buen café. Vale la pena ir!

Nos alojamos en el Best Western Hotel al lado para 1 noche. Decidimos desayunar en aquí como estaba al lado. Desde el 1 de esfuerzo de comunicación calle teníamos con una camarera ella no entendía nuestro idioma inglés. El hecho de que somos ingleses y hablar el idioma con fluidez es parte de la razón por la que no toma amablemente a ser considerado como un idiota porque la camarera que tiene una mala comprensión del inglés decide mirarte como un extranjero porque ella no puedo entender. El primer encuentro lo dejamos ir sin problema y luego la 2ª y 3ª. 3 veces instrucciones sencillas y peticiones se miraron con aspecto de desconcierto y frowns por la camarera, porque ella no podía comprender el idioma inglés es hablado por una persona inglesa en una cafetería de una ciudad inglesa. Cuando finalmente llegamos a pagar una factura con descuento en efectivo que pedimos la cuenta con estancia en hotel de al lado. No podía comprender nada de la camarera nos decía y siguió pedir completo total de cuenta aunque el menú y las señales en la cafetería del hotel los huéspedes se refieren a descuentos. ¿Cómo puede una empresa emplear a una persona que no puedo comunicarme en cualquier blatantally nivel con clientes de habla inglesa. Otro empleado había de venir al rescate después oyendo el problema. Mala manera de empezar el día. Preferiría perder el desayuno de aquí

This is part of the the hotel so we had a Continental breakfast but there are plenty of other choices. Clean with friendly staff

Had breakfast there with my mum who was staying at the hotel, very nice waitresses, helpful and smiley at all times, especially Luisa. Had a cake and cappuccino, both very good!

Stopped here for a coffee whilst the other half indulged in a spa treatment. First impressions were pretty good, looked up market and elegant. It was a quiet time so the atmosphere was very subdued. Decor, lighting was decent too. Theittle things let this place...

Being here for a breakfast, first imagination was amazing, imagination of restaurant is romantic and really sweet, but I been disappointed of serving food, and misunderstanding of English language, I order cold coffe, they bring me just glass of milk, honestly team I saw was slow and they're were chatting in Italian and quiet loud, they doesn't pay attention for a customer at all, actually I disappointed of everything, starting from service and food quality. I wouldn't have good atmosphere to finish my staff, because at the same time they were hovering floors around me, noise was anoying and atmosphere not nice at all, like I telling, they not giving attention for customers

An absolutely disastrous visit from start to finish. The restaurant had maximum four people in who had already eaten. We arrived and I placed a drinks order for two people at the bar, to be told they would be bought to the table. 40 minutes later and without no apology the drinks finally turned up and were possibly the worst cocktails I've ever had the misfortune of drinking, to be frank I'd rather drink dirty dishwater. I was genuinely baffled how it had taken her 40 minutes in an almost empty establishment to knock a few drinks together. After ordering two steaks and paying for them we were told they only had one steak left, the order was changed and she didn't even acknowledge to pay us the difference and had to do this with much encouragement. The steak which we asked several times to be cooked well done actually walked over and plonked itself on the plate. I took it over to the waitress who actually laughed, muttered something and wondered off with if. It came back still mooing and with the rest of the food freezing cold. When the food was bought back out we still had zero apology. The staff here are completely incompetent and bone idle and definitely need some training in people skills. As they generate so much business through the hotel I feel they are just lazy and completely unbothered to whether you enjoy your meal or not. If you're in the area and feeling peckish, McDonald's is down the road.

The 2-for-1 offer looked appealing, our starters were fine, the ambience pleasant enough. We had to wait for the (new) chef to go out and buy ingredients, apparently, but the final result was awful, a near-inedible pizza base with a smidgin of tomato and a few pepperoni slices. There was supposed to be mozzarella, also, and my companion said he thought he could taste some.Awful awful, awful.

Choice of continental buffet including juice tea coffee and good selection of breads pastries cereals meats cheese fruit and salads toast- just dont put it through the toaster twice i set the smoke alarm off! Or there are a few cooked breakfast options but no bacon!!

We had continental breakfast ( from the buffet), eggs and coffee, all of the them good enough and the prices are good. Very good option !

I spent a couple of nights at the attached hotel with my girlfriend and we spent out first night in Rafkins for dinner. We looked at the menu and wow, the food that was on there was amazing and for a really good price. The decor is modern and stylish, the restaurant is clean and the ambience is just perfect!On the night of our first, the waitress Carlotta was really nice and polite, even when a difficult customer came in she handled the situation perfectly!

I had the prawn starter which was amazing the prawns had the shel on and was huge , they tasted amazing . My main meal was spaghetti boll , which was lovely could of done with more portion size .

I am a regular customer at Rafkins. The place is ideal for breakfasts, afternoon teas, aperitifs or tasty meals ... the personnel look after the customers with dedication and a smile on their face. The girls who work there set the atmosphere... they always make me feel welcome and their spontaneous kindness, attention and smiles make me always willing to go back :) I surely recommend it! :)

Breakfast was included with a stay at the Best Western Matrise Hotel. It was a good spread with everything you'd expect from a continental hotel breakfast. Service was polite and efficient and the tea was fine.

Visited here with friends for coffee as alternative to the chains, excellent value for money with well made coffee and cake and friendly service

I came for a breakfast and ordered Egg Florentine, what I got was far from what I ordered. I have changed the English muffin to a brown toast and I got only brown bread, the chef did not even bothered to toast it for me...I really don't want to start on how my poached eggs looked like :( also my spinach was only whacked on the bread raw out of the bag...!!!! Don't botter spending your money there people as the chef does not bother to care about the food either....

Hotel restaurant attached to Quality Maitrise just up the street from Marriott Maida Vale. Prices are somewhat less than the average hotel buffet, making for a nice alternative to the overpriced chain hotel ripoffs.

Had a lovely afternoon tea here, good selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones and loads of teas/coffee to choose from. Service was attentive, though the atmosphere was a little lacking. Overall, it was really enjoyable

I tried to book by email which was ignored for a week so I telephoned them and spoke to someone who clearly had no idea how to take a booking - I had to tell him what info he needed from me after he tried to pass me back to the hotel reception. Later that day they finally replied to my email to say that they no longer honour the SmartCard vouchers which we wanted to use. The service was friendly enough but the food strictly average and definitely not worth the effort it took to make the booking.

Really enjoyed the menu they offered at Rafkins, they food came out piping hot and i really enjoyed it. The quality compensated for the longer than expected wait.

From the outside it looks like a new modern bar restaurant, but food and service are disappointing, no atmosphere, although it is clean and has nice sofas they do play awful music :(

The 3-4 Indonesian dishes are OK but the rest of the menu is contrived, reheated frozen food or canned soup, etc. The 'British food' is a misnomer and the quality of food is very dependent upon who is manning the kitchen on a given evening. There's no lunch service; the 'bar' is seriously average with beer taps that haven't worked for ages.
