The best restaurants serving British food in Richmond upon Thames London

Can I just give a massive shout out and thanks to Wilfreds - my famly and I went to Wilfreds Canteen last night to celebrate my birthday - not only is the venue fabulous and beautiful - the staff were just brilliant and the food - my goodness every morsel was the best food we have ever tasted! Right from a starter of bacon and cheese in filo pastry to a main of chicken and ham pie with the best potato dauphinoise and then a peach crumble and a sherry trifle just for my Dad - it was truly incredible with very generous portions - just brilliant and very special ! So if you are looking for a fab venue for a special occasion with your family and friends - it really has to be there ! Congratualtions Chris and all you team xx

This quirky coffee shop, themed on Batman's adversary the Penguin, serves great coffee with friendly smile. The coffee is wonderfully rounded without being bitter. The usual range of milk substitutes are on offer if milk is not your thing. Socially distanced seating inside and out with a great menu if toasted sourdough offerings available. A high quality alternative to the restaurant offerings from the Premier Inn just across the road.

EVERYONE LOVES FISH AND CHIPS AND THE BEST IN THE AREA BY FAR IS HAMPTON HILL FISH AND CHIPS.ALWAYS FREH WODERFUL FISH THE STAFF ARE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.. RECOMEND STRONGLY PAT

No íbamos a ir aquí, pero otro restaurante estaba cerrado. Queríamos algo sencillo y bien conocido y qué mejor lugar que una tienda de fish and chips pero también un restaurante con alrededor de 50 asientos. Gran servicio y comida muy sabrosa. No es súper barato, pero a un precio razonable. El cargo por servicio es opcional y está más que feliz de pagar eso. Precioso pan y mantequilla más salsa de curry para complementar el pescado con papas fritas y guisantes mushy. Buena selección en general, pero no hay salchichas o pasteles. Sin embargo buen menú griego más postres más bebidas alcohólicas. Bueno como alternativa o una comida a un precio razonable en Richmond. Muy cerca del puente Richmond.

Well, we were here today for a Mothers Day lunch. We’d been a couple of years ago and it’s been decorated since then. It looks much better. We looked at some of the meals been served nearby and they all looked decidedly underwhelming and a bit “ greasy spoon cafe”. So, undeterred we thought we’d play it safe. We just ordered mains. One daughter had the mussels and my wife, myself and our other daughter had the roast chicken. The chicken was really nice but the vegetables were overdone, the Yorkshire pudding was a limp sponge and my roast potatoes looked like boiled ones. Having said all that I did polish everything off and it was quite tasty. Jess said her mussel sauce was a bit bland and the portion was small for a main course. As for the positives: the wine was good, my gluten free beers were great, our cocktails (quite a few of them) were very good and so was my coffee. But everything took an age to come out of the kitchen and one of the blokes bringing it out looked like he’d been sleeping in a duvet in the nearest bus shelter. Our waiter, the only English chap, was excellent but he had to keep apologising for the slow service. For Richmond, the prices were not bad and we actually had a very nice time - but then we are a family that gets on and pretty much always have a good time when we are out. In essence, it’s a good place in some ways but a gastro pub it is not.

Grandes quesos regionales para redondear una buena experiencia gastronómica. Ahora lo que sigue: al joven señor encargado de la cena GWR: 1 . Servilletas de algodón y manteles por favor - Conozco los costos de lavandería como soy un hotelero. 2 . Elección de dos servicios de coche comedor en cada sentido para el desayuno (sí. , traer de vuelta el desayuno) , almuerzo y cena. 3 . No creas que te has anunciado solo porque está en el sitio web de GWR. Reservable en la aplicación. Destacar los servicios con comedor Pullman, carteles en las estaciones, etc. promueven sobre el tannoy en los servicios y en las estaciones. 4 . Haz que funcione; haz que sea un beneficio de ingresos; haz que sea una experiencia imprescindible: todos los ingredientes están en su lugar ahora que debes comercializar bien la instalación. The restaurant was rather quiet the evening we visited. The food is reasonably priced and not outstanding. There is a well priced wine list. The staff make up for all of it.

Bonito pub. Gran comida a un precio muy razonable y buen servicio. El personal era muy amable. Lo volvería a visitar. 🙂 👍👍

David and I had not managed to get to the Flying Cloud Cafe for at least three years. We were much relieved to see it was still there and the cakes were delicious - Kim's Apple Drizzle Cake for us this time. It won't be three years this time!

Our first time at cafe. The staff were really friendly food came very quickly and portions were huge . We definitely recommend and will come again

Needed an early breakfast on a Sunday as had young niece and nephew staying with us. Food superb, my partner had the veggie breakfast and I don't think they could have got more on the plate! Really cosy and friendly atmosphere, staff were amazing and chef came out to thank us for our support for his cafe - kids loved their ham which apparently is cured in house - going back for sure.
