Chinos Cafe in Richmond upon Thames

Needed an early breakfast on a Sunday as had young niece and nephew staying with us. Food superb, my partner had the veggie breakfast and I don't think they could have got more on the plate! Really cosy and friendly atmosphere, staff were amazing and chef came out to thank us for our support for his cafe - kids loved their ham which apparently is cured in house - going back for sure.

Brilliant to see this cafe absolutely thriving with the new chef. Fabulous food and enthusiastic staff. Can't wait to visit again.

Have been to Chinos Cafe four times and every time has been a joy. Friendly staff, quick service and good food. Even the bathroom is spotless!

My partner an I went there today and ordered two mozzarella panini’s and cappuccinos but what we got was baguettes and extremely boiling hot coffee that burnt our mouths. We tried to tell her that she was serving baguettes and not panini and she got very aggressive and rude to a point where she made a racist comment of the fact that I’m Italian. They call themselves Chinos and serve Italian food but what they served was nothing Italian nor was there any Italian working there. Very bad service

Another amazing full house brunch! Staff are amazing a real treat, portions are HUGE, only just managed to finish, that’s no dinner tonight needed YUMMY!!! Would highly recommend

Always a delight - the sandwiches are incredible (highly recommend the chicken & bacon mix, coronation chicken or Prawn Mayo & Avocado on Ciabatta!) Family run for years and a real treat for the local community. Lovely outside seating as well.

Lovely local cafe with super friendly service. Enjoyed a very tasty ham and cheese panini whilst watching the world go by. Lots of seats outside during these Covid times. Will definitely be visiting again.

We just love Chino's! The service is great & so lovely. They do anything for you if you ask and not really on the menu (if they have the ingredients). But also their regulars from the menu are great. Always with a smile, that counts for half of the quality to me!

We stopped in Hampton on route to Hampton Court Palace but were too early so thought we would stop and find somewhere to have a drink. Chinos happened to be that stop, despite being on a fairly busy road. We sat outside at a pavement table though had to move the table a bit to create a larger social distance from the lady sitting at the next table. It was a pleasant place to sit in the sun, people watch and kill some time!

My partner and I went to the cafe today with our 1 year old Son. We ordered two full breakfasts and toast and scrambled egg for our Son. We were made to feel very welcome, the staff are lovely and really enjoyed the breakfasts and the coffee. We would definitely go back again.

Superb just superb, warm welcome, friendly staff and delicious food! , great breakie, full house is a delight and well worth the money, new sausages to my last visit a huge improvement, tea and coffee handsome

We have just moved to Hampton from Belgium. Very happy to have found Chinos. Service is warm and personal. Food is very good. Strongly recommend it.

Jacket potato was served cold. It was greenish-grey inside. The filling was okay, but I would not recommend. Any cafe that serves cold, stale food does not deserve your custom.

Restaurant food at cafe prices, Freshly prepared on order worth every penny and friendly staff with a family run environment. I visit every time I’m in the area.

We are regulars at Chinos Cafe. Every time we visit we receive a friendly welcome, and the food is good quality and tasty. It never disappoints as it is consistently good! Can't wait to go back!

Lovely food, great portion sizes. The owner Bridgette and her chef, Elvis, are fantastic, very friendly, helpful and very accommodating if you want to change anything to suit your diet. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Go there hungry. My Eggs Benedict came with five slices of bacon. The husband's breakfast was HUGE. Staff are great. Coffee is very good. Large menu. I wish there soft drinks other than those from Coca Cola or Nestle, but they seem to infiltrate everywhere.

What a find!!!I have had the kippers for breakfast twice here and they are fantastic!!Not allowed to cook them at home because of the smell.The portion size is ridiculously large and was served with grilled tomatoes,wilted spinach and avocado. Coffee is also great.My criticism is I felt guilty with how much I left!Fantastic place for breakfast or lunch

Lovely cafe serving breakfasts, sandwiches/panini/baguettes & lunches. Cooked breakfasts really good and huge! Tasty sandwich fillings, chicken & bacon mix is my fav! Servers are really friendly.

Reasonably priced tasty food. Would definitely recommend visiting. One note is it can be a little cramped and would benefit from extra space. Great cafe!

Eaten here a few times while working close by. today I skipped the hotel breakfast and had the eggs benedict as brunch. this was excellent, and well less than a hotel breakfast. also has sandwiches and cake recently, everything is good

I've been a few times now, the sandwiches are generously filled so you don't mind paying the price. The breakfast is unbelievably good value with a lot on your plate. The staff are always very friendly, well worth a visit.

Excellent little cafe in Hampton where I have never had a bad meal. Generous sized portions sometimes if I'm not that hungary I go for the childrens portion. Friendly service and very clean. the best dishes to order are the meatball pasta, cottage pie and breakfasts.

Voy a Chinos por bastantes años ahora. . . . . . Bridget el propietario siempre está muy acogedores. . . . Café y desayuno. precioso bien preparado con una gran variedad. . . . . . Siempre dispuestos a intercambiar por una salchicha" bacon si tienes sus preferencias como eso. El servicio siempre es muy bueno. Te puedes sentar afuera si el clima es bueno y ver el mundo pasar. . . . . volveremos aquí por muchos años más.

Comimos allí regularmente, pero para el martes de carnaval que nos hizo tortitas especiales. Apple, canela, fresas y tocino. Abundante y delicioso. Gracias por hacer ese esfuerzo extra especial.

My first visit in a few years and reassuring to see it had not changed. Fantastic service, and so much choice. I had to force myself to come to a quick decision on what to order or else I would have spent too long looking at everything on the menu. I enjoyed a prawn and avocado sandwich, cup of tea and a caramel slice. Can't wait to be passing by again for an excuse to come back.

I'm a frequent visitor. I go there because there is a wide range of breakfasts and lunchtime meals, all of very good quality.I recommend the half-house for breakfast and chilli con carne, with cheese on top for lunch. However, I'm on a diet and they will prepare foods in any practical way you want. The takeaway sandwiches are prepared in front of you. I sometimes have breakfast and they can prepare something for me to take for lunch.The staff are all very friendly, but not to the point where it become intrusive. There is a choice of teas and the coffee which is at the better end of the range.There is seating outside on warm sunny days and a large bay window to sit in when it's colder.Parking is rarely an issue, but be careful, there is a 1 hour restriction between 11:00-12:00 to prevent commuters parking all day.See you there...

I have been to Chinos twice now. They do a large variety of fresh fillings for baguettes, paninis, ciabattas and standard bread. I have to say the service is spot on, the food tastes really good. Everything is very fresh. The cafe has a nice friendly feel to it. They also do pastas and soups but I haven't tried them. Really good reasonable prices as well. Will definitely be coming back for more lunches.

Excellent food except for cheap sausages please buy better quality lets the whole weekend breakfast experience down!

Used to visit this place at least once a week before we moved to Somerset. Still miss it a lot; Bridget, Diego and Ervis are excellent hosts. Breakfasts are monumentally magnificent, without exception, and always served with a smile.

Full-house breakfast in the morning, excellent fresh coffee, chilli-con-carne at lunch.Watch out for the parking restrictions between 11:00-12:00 (to prevent he commuters parking all day).Friendly staff, comfortable tables and seats. Sit in the bay window and watch the world go by.

I come here every now and then with my husband when we need a fry up. The staff are always friendly and the food is consistently great. I wish they were open Sundays too!!

The sandwiches are all right but too expensive for the price. Staff is friendly. Get there before noon to avoid a queue.

Please Chinos serve better quality sausages with your breakfasts ... everything else was lovely but the sausages seemed v cheap quality!! It's a shame because I am sure I have eaten breakfast here before and always been happy. Maybe you could change that and let me know when you have??

From breakfast to brunch, this little street cafe produces imaginative food at a very good price. The owners and staff are friendly, and you get a really lovely 'looked after' feeling there, even when buying takeaway sandwiches or just a drink. Free Wifii too.

Business is brisk in this bustling neighbourhood caf. Unfortunately the product doesn't match up to the jovial atmosphere – leek & potato soup served too hot, scalded my mouth and with far too much pepper I couldn't finish it – hugely disappointing. Cafe Plenty down the road is cheaper (by 25p for soup) and serves far better quality nosh.

Can't beat it. Friendly staff, nice family run business. Been going there for years now and never had any complaints

We went to this cafe for lunch. The food is very good and freshly cooked. My son had the kids pasta which was a generous portion and very tasty. I had the kippers on toast which was something a bit different and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife had a huge omelette and chips which kept her going for the rest of the day. The menu is varied and very reasonably priced. The service was efficient with a very friendly smile.

We have been coming here for years and have eaten a variety of dishes always served with a smile and the food as well as tasting amazing is also beautifully presented. All of the staff are fabulous and manage to get the balance right between entertaining and giving you your privacy. Definitely the best cooked breakfast for miles around. Thanks Chinos. Always a nice atmosphere, service is always good and the food (especially the bacon sarnies) always well cooked! Recommend this for their english breakfast as well.

A smashing Cafe with a fabulous varied menu!Often go here to meet friends for breakfast and they are always impressed by the quality and portion sizes.The chef always manages to cook and present a delightful plate even when the cafe is full.The host is charming and professional and I am happy to recommend this lovely little establishment!

We go here regularly, to the point that we can walk in and the manager knows what we usually order. We've been known to travel an hour just for their Pasta Meatballs!

A gem of a cafe in the beautiful village of Hampton. As well as very generous "Full English" breakfasts, Chinos also has a varied menu of pastas, salads, sandwiches and the like. What makes Chinos stand out however, is the friendly and efficient service. They remember customers, treat us like family, and will make anything to special order without blinking. This isn't fine dining, but it's definitely the world of the English Cafe at its bestTen out of ten, we'll be back!

I just love going to Chino's. The atmosphere is so joyful and friendly, within only a few visits you're amongst friends. The food is great, very tasty, good portions and excellent value. My absolute favourite is their enormous eggs Benedict and because I'm on low carb diet they do this for me on a bed of spinach rather than muffins which to my mind makes it even nicer. The only downside is that I can only usually manage to get there once a week......

For locals and tourists Chinos is a first rate eatery that offers a wide choice of menu and serves a full English breakfast all day and the best coffee in town. Elvis is an amazing cook and you get food that is perfectly prepared and looks so good that you don't know whether to eat it or take a photograph!Added to this you are met by a warm and friendly staff Diego & Marta and Bridget who is the owner. This atmospheric Cafe' in Station Road, Hampton offers a wide range of breakfast and lunch goodies. In summer months it also offers an evening menu. We love this place. It has the best Penne Arabbiatta I've ever tasted and all the staff are very friendly. Family friendly and great value for money. If you miss your holiday in Italy visit Chino's and be transported back!
