Cafe Mimmo in Richmond upon Thames

2021: This café offers excellent coffee, delicious food, and friendly service. They have outdoor seating, and while they recently added wood-fired pizza to the menu, the dough needs improvement. However, I highly recommend trying the Sicily Panuozzo – it's wonderful! Update - October 2024: The pizza dough has significantly improved, and the prices remain reasonable. The staff is incredibly friendly, making this one of the best spots to enjoy breakfast or any meal throughout the day in this area.

Had to take my partner to the walk in at teddington and after that we stopped in here for some lunch. Lovely place, great atmosphere and staff where very nice too. Food was delicious and coffee was great, the Orange Juice is actually just freshly squeezed oranges which was amazing. All in all a very nice first visit. Oh and just had the custard tart I took away with me and it is delicious.

Our favourite place to come for breakfast and brunch, staff are so lovely especially the owner who today went out to buy us a card and gift while we enjoyed our breakfast as we just got married! What a stunning surprise and we are so grateful for the kindness. The food is faultless every time! Thanks guys! ❤️

Stopped for breakfast of all things and was not disappointed. Wife had the eggs Benny and I had the scrambled eggs on sourdough with sausage and hash brown. Be prepared for a buttery experience. Caffè lattes were perfect.

Just visiting the area and found this great place for a high-quality full English breakfast. The service and coffee was also worthy of a 5 star review.

God forbid if someone wants to eat what he wants or has allergies. Ordered breakfast and salad. They bring the salad with cheese, and I require the salad with no cheese. They take back the salad, remove the cheese, and bring it to the table as normal. It's absolutely not worth it the risk.

Disappointed. Devoid of fresh ingredients so don't be fooled by the lovely looking oven. As soon as the charming owner went upstairs, the service was finished. Lazy seated waitress, busy talking to her loud mouthed, uncouth boyfriend, who used the loo and called to her that "It stinks of sewage". That was enough. Thought to take the barely eaten pizzas for the foxes so asked if we could take it: Lazy blonde Waitress, back sitting & chatting, handed us a box. Nice coffee. We will not be going back. NB: The foxes turned their noses up at the pizzas too.

I popped in for a takeaway coffee but was given such a warm welcome that I stayed. Taking the Family today for brunch and really looking forward to making a happy memory.

I popped in for a wrap. Was in a hurry. They were very friendly and fast with my food. It was Super yummy and fresh. Will be back more regularly in future!

Café Mimmo is a basic café, with the décor and menu an interesting mix of Mediterranean influences. With my family we went for a late breakfast of traditional English and I had an egg, tomato, pepper and chorizo. Service was friendly and attentive, the food excellent. I would happily return.

It wasn't pointed out that 10% service is added to the bill. That's really unusual for a cafe, so although I was surprised that the bill was higher than I expected I didn't notice why and added a 10% tip. Would have been nice if this had been pointed out.

I visited for the first time this week, when my Rotary Club held its meeting here. Good range of pizzas, with generous sizes too. Definitely will return for breakfast and lunch, that’s for sure.

We went for a Saturday breakfast - the good was really good and good portion sizes! The staff were all lovely. We didn't have a pizza but they definitely look good.

Cute cafe easy to find in the highstreet, warm atmosphere inside but a bit small. Some food was a bit pricey but generous with their portions, owners were polite aswell

Pizza was cold and despite asking staff before ordering my request for garlic sauce which I put in notes as advised was ignored. Had it been hot it might of been nice. But not worth the money. Sorry.

Italian style breakfast taste good reasonable price

Popped in for a bite to eat and a hot drink. I have been here before and really enjoyed it. But, that was a long time ago. So, I was interested to see if it still holds up. And I'm delighted to say, it does. Lovely people, nice hum of atmosphere and good food. I had the Polpetta Mamma Mia Panuozzo Neapolitan sandwich. Hot, delicious and served in good time from their pizza oven! Washed down with a "dirty" chai (extra shot of espresso). If you're in Teddington high Street and find yourself peckish. This establishment is well worth a visit.

Best Pizza I’ve had in the area, you can really tell it’s made in a proper Pizza oven. Can’t wait to order again.

I ordered a vegetarian pizza and paid extra for two extra toppings. When the pizza arrived it only had the two extra toppings that I'd selected and none of the original toppings which were supposed to have been on the pizza. I selected the extra topping on the assumption that they would be extra toppings, not replacement toppings. What a rip off. Also the base was disgusting, soggy in some places and burnt black in others. The base just tasted burnt and I couldn't eat it. I will never be ordering from Mimmo again.

Mimmo hosted my daughter's 12th birthday party recently. They were brilliant! Super welcoming and friendly and the pizzas were delicious and came out quickly. The milkshakes went down a storm too. Great service and food from a local independent cafe.

I come to this cafe every Saturday morning while my daughter has a drama lesson. What a fantastic place, so nice to go somewhere independent with excellent food. The staff are friendly and always helpful and you get a sense there are lots of regular customers who also enjoy the great food and lovely, personal service. I would highly recommend this place- so refreshing in an era of chain cafes/restaurants.

Typically Italian Pizza shop. The pizza dough is crispy and chewy, and the vegetables are fresh and juicy. The coffee beans are traditional dark roast. The long black that I ordered is topped with thick crema, with a smooth chocolaty feel and long aftertaste.

A lovely little restaurant on Teddington High Street. Some Fantastic food, very unexpected for what on the surface feels like a run of the mill cafe. Fantastic milkshakes to boot!

Hi, I didn’t order anything from just eat, I think a delivery was going next door but they opened the door to my flat and left it lying open (?) which I was very unhappy with, I looked out the door and saw it was a just eat delivery person. I live in teddington on the high street.

Amazing atmosphere, staff and food. I cannot recommend this enough for a cafe to go to for a pick me up, start your day or some downtime with friends or family. Take a trip out of the mainstream and into this cafe that will whisk you away from everyday life.

I came with two friends for lunch on Saturday. My friend got there first and ordered a coffee. When we joined we moved two tables together as they are small tables and lots of people had this arrangement in the cafe already. The owner came over grumbling at us about the table and proceeded to move the table with my friends hot coffee spilling half of it onto the table and dripping onto her light coloured trousers. He then left the cafe to smoke outside with no apology. We asked the waitress for some tissue and she apologised for him. We then left for pizza express. The coffee wasn’t refunded and no compensation offered. Really disappointed as wanted to support local business.

Had dinner here and the pizzas were really delicious. Garlic bread was the best I’ve ever tasted! Straight from the oven - doughy and crispy. Friendly staff and good music.

Place is nice and a bit on low key. Decor is quite neutral and has the small high street vibe. Pizzas and coffees are really lovely. We went a couple of times and pizzas and panuozzi are very much endorsed.

Really good place to have a Pizza. They make a good dough and the toppings are generous at a right price. Will be there again when I will around. Today we was there and ordered three pizzas. One of my colleague is vegetarian and doesn't eat meat, he ordered a salsiccia e friarielli pizza without sausage but arrived with sausage (was their mistake) but at his complain they understand immediately the mistake and did a replacement really fast. Also they didn't stop to apologise and offer to my colleague a free beer. They are really polite and have care about the clients. A mistake can happen and they choose a good manner for my idea like no others did. We will continue to be back here when around. I read some (few) others bad reviews who told the owners are rude but really not. Probably they didn't know really rude people.....

Pizza and garlic bread was a bit doughy but overall lovely taste. They forgot my can of coke that I ordered as well.

I love Cafe Mimmo. You can call me a real Mimmonian, or Mimmoan. They do Panuozzo's, which are sandwiches made from pizza dough, at lunchtime and cheap takeaway pizzas at lunchtime too, which are delicious. The staff are really friendly too, they made me a coffee when my order took a bit longer. I really like the dude who makes the pizzas as well. He's a good dude.

Cosy little gem in Teddington with excellent pizza and big on Italian vibes.

Had this before and it’s been fantastic but tonight the pizza was a bit overdone and a bit stingy on topping. But the main gripe is it was delivered stone cold. So for £30 for two pizzas having to put the oven on was really annoying. Hopefully a glitch. Otherwise ain’t ordering it again.

Had a pizza for the first time as they have recently installed an impressive pizza oven. The pizzas are excellent. Thin and crispy base, tasty sauce and an array of options. Mine was cooked to perfection and was delicious!

Tried this place out for the first time the other day, the inside is cute and the staff are very friendly. Vegetarian options are available with lots of fun smoothie options (protein smoothies too!) and an extensive selection of good Italian coffees. Absolutely beautifully made pizzas, thin base and lovely authentic flavour. Would definitely recommend! Moderate wait-time but the food was definitely worth it. 😋 Tried an affogato for the first time as well and it was amazing. You can tell the vanilla in the gelato they serve is genuine because you can see the specs of vanilla bean. Gorgeous! Would love to try it again. 🍦💕 They're open til 10PM now so it's quite flexible to visit if you're looking for somewhere that will still serve food late. There's even a back patio garden section open too. Definitely looking to revisit! Had a lovely time.

This small cafe is a really great option in Teddington for a quick meal. Pizzas are great, with very friendly staff and good coffee and deserts. Well located in Teddington center and 10 min walk to Bushy Park and a 15 min walk to Teddington Lock. We are getting back to try the panuozzo!

Lovely people with a good sense of humour. The pizzas were a little bit short in the oven - could have done with a more cooking on the base. Coffee was nice, very Italian dark roast and taste.
