Food was nice and staff were friendly. No soap in the bathroom though.. just two bottles of hand moisturiser....

Nice pub, pretty standard beer prices for the area and nice food. Friendly service too and outside areas that I would assume are great in the summer, looking forward to that!

Recently refurbished and under new management. You can see the difference inside but the garden and play area remains largely unchanged. New food menu which was more expensive. Food was pretty average for the price. Overcooked pizza which was very crispy and average burger. Fine for drinks and the play area for children but wouldn’t recommend the food for the price.

Went to meet family and friends..average price on beer for area wasn't bad..stayed at front of pub as children's play area out back was not for me.. but was able to enjoy a good meet up. Toilets clean..good indicator of care..didn't eat..right by bus stop was ideal for me heading back towards Tolworth via Kingston Surbiton on 281 bus..👍

Met friends for a drink and bite to eat. Totally underwhelming. Overpriced booze nearly £30 for 3 drinks and food expensive before being informed when trying to order that the pricing was wrong on the menu and wanted 25% more 😨. Friends had food which was bland and small portions. I didn't order as felt they were ripping people off. Won't be going back any time soon.

Rude barman who slammed down the bar bill without saying anything. Drinks far too expensive . Hoards of children running riot parents and staff taking no notice,other people felt the same!

Lovely country pub/restaurant with a large outdoor seating area. Massive undercover bbq/open oven area. 100% worth a visit your pleasantly surprised, and will make a second trip

Great Sunday Lunch both had the lamb was pulled lamb over red cabbage with potato’s, Yorkshire and gorgeous gravy! Matched with a good white wine, great service and nice atmosphere, highly recommend

Since its reopening last October, I genuinely believe the Red Lion is going from strength to strength. I find it a really nice, family-oriented neighbourhood pub: the staff are attentive and really polite, the owners are professional and courteous - committed to creating a really welcoming place, which is relaxed and convivial. Give it a try!

I just wanted to go in for a drink on my day off, and I just felt so uncomfortable because of this one worker, he made me feel very uncomfortable

First time visiting since they reopened, great staff and atmosphere and they showed the footy which is always a bonus! We ordered food which was good, pretty much standard for pub food, a tad on the expensive side though but would recommend the place for meet ups with friends and family

Teddington and Fulwell folk! This is not a review it’s a call to action! The roast lunch here is so very very good and the staff so very very friendly, but they need your help! They need more people in the door, every day, to drive up the atmosphere rating to a “5” and to ensure that I can keep ordering the incredible pork belly roast! Please help make this pub a huge success after a great refurb and a great start! 🙏

We celebrated my Dads 80th birthday here today and it was amazing! My parents live local to the pub and after seeing it was under new management we decided to go here for my dads birthday lunch, there were 9 of us and honestly is was brilliant, food was 10/10, service was amazing, their Sunday roasts were brilliant and they were happy for us to take our own cake too. I’m so glad we chose here and will definitely be returning.

We held a 50th birthday party for 60 people in the function room, and had a great time. The buffet supper was excellent, with original dishes to suit all tastes. The service was also very good, and we received close personal attention from Kanwar, Manu and all the staff. Would definitely go back for the next special occasion.

My son and I booked dinner today, the pub looks lovely, new owners have done a great job. The food was delicious, highly recommend the Burger. Thank you to the chef for accommodating my son re chicken nuggets. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

We came here on a Sunday lunch. The place had been recently taken over by an independent company. Before it had been revamped you would just never go for the food, just the drinks. Since it had been redone I thought I would try the food and was greeted by probably the most overpriced steak and worst quality I’ve ever had in my life and I’ve eaten at weatherspoons! The steak was £26 so usually I would assume it would be of quality, hence the price. However I was given a horrific piece of meat that I would only assume it was extremely well done when I had asked for a medium rare. I spent more time trying to cut this tasteless lump than actually eating it. I wasn’t even given a steak knife. Since it has been taken over it is very clear they just upped the pricing to premium however the quality is far below average. Just to note I have coeliac disease which means I am incredibly allergic to gluten. Most places can cater and within a minute you can tell by the menu whether it would be safe or not. When ordering I noticed the steak came with chips and stated gluten free, however on the sides the chips were very clearly stated not to be gluten free. When I asked the waiter about this he said they were as it said on the menu. However I did not trust him so I asked the manager and was told they weren’t. So if I was not curious and had not looked into it I would of been poisoned by the inept, useless waiter. I would never go there for food or drinks due to their pricing and poor quality.

Haven’t been for a long time, but new owners are in and it’s lovely. The Sunday roasts are absolutely magnificent!

We Went here after a visit to Teddington, looked a nice pub but when we tried to order was told they don't take cash, only cards, how utterly ridiculous, this is what's wrong with modern Britain, wake up people, can't you see what's happening and places like this are the problem, then they complain that there struggling 🙄 and no doubt when another pub closes down they will blame Brexit or Covid, won't visit here again.

Where do i start - love this pub , love their Garden apart from finding glass all over the floor which I wasn’t pleased with - the pub has changed so much through out the years and constantly have new owners. Previous owners were great and hard working and would always deliver best. We have not long been , lets say two weeks ago and we’re told that it has been tken on by new owners lets hope the owners are understanding and have high standards in about how important safety is as in there should have not been any sight of small glass scattered around absolutely everywhere!! and that my children could have been hurt by it. It has a children playground for a reason and it should maintain the healthy and safety procedures for all children and famililes. Please take note that this is a family pub and hope it does expect everyone’s expectations. Love the pub and will always support- as long as not only my children’s safety is met but others - i want to be able to sit down and enjoy My Quality Family time without worrying about my children not being safe.

Absolutely bizarre evening. We went to the pub for our friends daughters 30th Birthday and had really been looking forward to it. The landlord is an absolute nutter. The bar wasn't particularly busy and he was running around between to three people waiting serving us all at the same time. He wasn't talking he was shouting and as I say it really wasn't busy or loud. I used the card machine to pay and went back my table with my drinks. He'd got the drinks wrong and given me the Vodka, lime and soda twice instead of a gin and tonic. Shortly after he came outside and started shouting at me in front of the entire pub garden and told me I was a liar and hadn't paid!! I went back inside to sort everything out and he told me to leave and started shouting again. It was all very unnecessary but he continued to shout and was joined by another bar man who threatened me. Absolutely bizarre.

Was a little empty but generally a popular lively pub/Had a couple of Malibu:'n coke with my good friend drinking lagers there.. early a man was a little drunk. shouting at friends but left quietly ... LOVELY garden areas and bus stops right outside my daughter had reception here b4 and myself party with previous management .. easy to get to on the 267/281and others...** I get to Teddington, Kingston and beyond from the local Twickenham stops ** front patio too in the sunshine it's great and for smokers ..there's ashtrays provided for them ...

So we have been visiting The Red Lion for a few years and always enjoyed the place apart from inept unexperienced management running the place. This normally just caused a smile. Last night however after ordering the sharing platter being sat by the kitchen was an eye opener. The chef doesn't wash his hands so handling raw meat then mixes a salad all by hand. I informed him a piece of chicken I had was not cooked and he just smiled at me. The chef then using a cleaning detergent in a tub washed down chopping boards just by running them under a tap, used a scourer dipped in washing liquid and then wiped them with his bare hands before leaving to dry. Once washed he used a piece of blue roll to dry them and this was the same piece used to dry his hands and wipe the main prep table. I will categorically not eat here again sadly.

Went about 5ish yesterday after dropping son off to uni before heading back home, very disappointed with my roast. Food not very hot, Yorkshire Pudding and roast potatoes horrible as was the cauliflower cheese. I’d come in for a drink and the sticky toffee pudding as it was too die for but probably wouldn’t order a main meal again

Owner treats workers like cr*p. under paid and under staffed on busy days. Owner is a control freak who can’t bare to listen to female staff members and will micro manage them even if they are very experienced bar staff. If you care about workers, do not put money in the pocket of this nobhead who tells his staff ON THE DAY whether they are needed or not, meaning they cannot work anywhere else. this happens to some staff members multiple times a week, meaning they miss out on huge sums of money for rent/cost of living etc. No empathy whatsoever. Do not drink or eat here without tipping bar staff incredibly well

Anyway, attended tonight for a Rotary Club function, and what I sincerely hope will be our new club meeting venue each week. There were 11 of us tonight, and the food was served to perfection. Portion size is superb. I had the nachos, which was huge, and did me proud. Others ordered various items and were were all equally impressed. My friend sitting next to me had the pork ribs. I swear there was half a pig, and having had to help him, I know what I’m having next time. Staff friendliness and positive attitude is excellent and put the venue we are currently at to shame. With great parking in the road adjacent, and close by, after 6.30pm, as well as the bus service too, with stops almost outside; life just gets better. Oh, free WiFi, pleasant surroundings, and great food (at sensible prices), all make up a perfect package. Will I be back? You bet your life I will, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone.

Stopped in for a quick nibble and the hair of a dog after a heavy session last night, needless to say, I'm absolutely hanging out of my backside. Anyway, back to The Red Lion... It's a lovely, big, family pub with an outdoor garden and play area for kids. I had two cold pints and a chicken, bacon and brie ciabatta. Very tasty and came with chips 😁 The staff is very friendly, next I come I'll bring the family 👍👍👍

First I time I had visited this Pub. It was a hot summer day, so the ice cold beer was very tasteful and quench thirsting.The atmosphere was jovial and convivial.Will defiantly go again and again.

A warm corner pub with nice tap. Makes a slamming gin and tonic. Satisfying bags of crisps (chips). Does food too. Indoor and outdoor seating, with a playground out back for kids and families (!). TVs carry a good match. Americans remember you don’t need to tip.

I came in here for a drink late on a Friday night, a man approached me at the bar and the manager and bar server asked me if I was ok and if I knew this man (which I did not.) This man than followed me around for a while outside and the manager made the effort to constantly check on me through out my evening and I was ok and felt comfortable (which I did) but it felt really good to know I was cared and conceded for by (male) staff here. Really big change from the local pubs I go to, very much appreciate the care and concern from all staff and managers here tonight- a lovely place for women to have a drink and feel really safe and looks after. Thank you very much :)

Lovely pub, great sun trap beer garden. Unfortunately under staffed, there was 1 poor bloke doing the bar and getting food out. Give him his dues, he was running like an athlete! Well done fella, you deserve a medal!

Have been going to this pub for years now and always have a good time there. The staff are friendly and go out of their way for you all the time. The food is always excellent and the Sunday roast is hands down the best in Teddington. Generous portions and fresh and well cooked food by a chef who is happy to go the extra mile. Highly recommend.

The staff in this pub are nothing but rude and ignorent the way they treat there customers should be ashamed of themselves used to go in here alot till one of the bar staff thought he was above the manager and started shoutimg at us because we asked to see what the score was on rugby.. As for cleanliness the bar is sticky because its not cleaned properly and one of the toilets constantly smells of damp. Will not ever be returning here again

I went to the Red Lion for a lunch with a friend and it was a great experience. The garden is lovely and with lots of space in the sun. The food was great, I had the burger and highly recommend it. Big choice of drinks and very friendly staff. In particular, the manager Mo is very welcoming and very attentive to all customers. Lovely guy who works very hard and is a credit to the pub. Great all round, highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal and drink in the Teddington area.

Expensive booze, full of noisy families at school chucking out time. Since COVID no one seems to bother about masks , avoid if you are vulnerable.

We went last night for a drink. Garden great but social distancing terrible and breaking all the rules. Long table with benches had 15 people or so - another 10 around another table. They all acted as if covid all over. High fiving, hand shaking etc. They should have known better and the manager needs to sort out the tables to manage this. Could be done with good humour and recognising danger to others. Shame this is a nice pub but it risks being a source of infection

Lovely Saturday evening sat outside. Limited menu but the chef adjusts as much as possible to accommodate preferences. Food was tasty although ribs were a bit tough. Safety taken seriously with one way system and sanitiser everywhere. A great local pub.

This pub is great! They made sure we were fully looked after even when they were extremely busy. Our cocktails took a while to arrive due to how busy the pub was & they gave them to us on the house & a complimentary packet of crisps each. 100% would visit again! Brilliant cocktails & service! They even made us a plate of nachos after the kitchen had closed. Would definitely recommend to a friend! Great atmosphere & Covid-19 safe.

The staff were so excellent in their service attending to drinks as well as food. The environment was well organised and made me feel extremely comfortable whilst being here. The man who I believed to be the manager went above and beyond to make sure that myself and my friends were satisfied and comfortable throughout our whole entire stay even when the pub was very busy. Would defiantly recommend to anyone and everyone and will be attending again very soon without a doubt!

Fantastic service when we came for a meal midweek. We were made to feel really welcome (including our dog), and the food was very tasty. Pork belly was a particular favourite we can recommend...
