Had a brilliant Sunday afternoon. There was eight of us, some on roasts, some on started, half drinking beer and half on wine. The food was delicious and all arrived at the same time. I visited here today following a long day’s travelling and couldn’t have been happier with my experience. Cat & Darshik served me and were very friendly & welcoming! The beer selection is fantastic, there were a few ales on alongside an excellent draught beer selection including Pravha, Moretti, Neck Oil & Guinness- my husband loved his pint of Pravha. The wine list is also excellent (I actually work in wine so that’s always important to me!) and I had a very lovely picpoul. We shared a bottle of their Rioja over the Guinness ribs with a side of mac & cheese. It was definitely worth breaking the diet, the ribs were to die for! I really hope to visit again soon.

Had the best vegetarian nut roast in Kingston here! The nut roast itself was gorgeous, all the extras were cooked to perfection, topped off with a glorious Yorkshire pudding and loads of veggie gravy. The red cabbage added sweetness. All was so flavoursome and so reasonable at £13. Shared a chocolatey desert and not much room for else! Will come again 🙌🙌

Best roast dinner I’ve had in a very long time. All food appeared to be very tasty. I can recommend the corn ribs and padron peppers. Service was great. Food was hot and fresh. The dining area is clean, comfortable and whilst dogs are welcome in the bar area where dinner is also served, it’s good to have the main restaurant area dog free.

On arrival we approached the bar lady and asked if there was any outside seating, she didn’t look very enthusiastic and just pointed to the door, we were not asked if we were eating or having a drink: Once we found our table I went back in for a menu and ordered two drinks which were ridiculously over priced. Once deciding what we wanted to eat I went back up to the bar to order our food. Two burgers and fries, we had to ask if fries were included as this wasn’t stated on the menu. Our food came and the presentation looked great but unfortunately we can’t say much for the taste, it was so salty I think the chef dropped the salt pot in the food. My husband eats salt and could just about managed, I don't eat salt so had to give half of my meal to my husband. When our meal was finished the lady came out and collected our plates, she didn’t ask how our meal was or if we would like anything else, I’m not sure she was overly happy working in this glorious weather but a little bit of customer service would have gone a long way.

Surly staff. Visited in the evening on 01.05.24, pub is ok, but the two staff on duty were grumpy verging on surly. One of the two, brunette female, behaved as if she was doing us a favour by serving us. Extremely grumpy when we wanted to add a drink to what we had already ordered. Why are people like this working in the service industry? She clearly didn’t want to be there. Makes one think twice about going there again, especially when there are lots of other places to choose from locally.

Spending our Mothers Day to be squeezed in to sit at a table which was in the very dark area near the fire place was a shame and we won’t be returning. This was on its way to being a five star review: lovely cosy pub, good location, clean, efficient and friendly staff, really good food at reasonable prices. Then our Bailey's and Irish coffees arrived and were luke warm so we asked our server to please great them up, which he was happy to do. They were returned to us by a chap who may possibly have been watching a box set of Gordon Ramsay that afternoon, who seemed peculiarly incensed that we'd asked for hot liqueur coffees. He plonked the now beige coffees on the table, blaming the fact that he had "50 people behind the bar" (there was a Christmas party of 26 people in the function room) as the reason the coffees hadn't been hot, and repeatedly said "do you want me to make new ones" in a tone that said he clearly didn't want to, and neither did we want him to. It was rather surreal to be honest: we'd spent a reasonable amount of money on food and drinks, been unassuming and peaceful in our corner, yet were being loudly lambasted in front of several other customers for the temerity of politely asking for our coffees to be served hot. It was embarrassing, uncalled for and thoroughly unprofessional. A short while later, our afternoon having been ruined, we were getting ready to leave and my friend asked the bar staff who the gentleman was. He suddenly appeared and proffered a reluctant apology, which my friend accepted. What a shame.

A Hampton Wick classic. In terms of the pub at least. The rooms form pics look nice, but have never had the need to stay! Onto the the pub. It’s located on a bit of a road peninsula and the outside seating on the park side can be a nice little sun trap in the afternoon/early evening. Staff are generally pretty friendly and the cask selection rotates occasionally. The keg options are pretty decent too, but could do with maybe another pils perhaps. Inside is pretty cosy on the pub side and there’s also a restaurant. Haven’t dined here for a while, but the food has generally been pretty good and normally there’s a few specials on. Went there on Saturday night, sat near the bar but not at the bar with my father. As usual I was extremely polite while asking for our drinks which made this even harder for me to comprehend.. Two female servers mid 20s - who were working (3rd of June) listened into our convocation the whole time making nasty comments to each other snickering the whole time which made us very uncomfortable! They made it quite clear that they were miserable working there.. maybe they hate that they have to work in a pub on their Saturday nights? The first time we tried to grab a meal here, we passed by on a Sunday and were told they were fully booked until 4pm. This time, we pre-booked for 12pm (hence the empty premises - we were first on-site apart from the bar staff!). We had a refreshing weiss bier with a slice of orange in it before settling down to examine the menu. A pretty little pub, The Forresters Arms offers not only food but rooms too. The staff were attentive but not intrusive and we enjoyed our bone marrow beef burger, fish and chips, chicken and salad and soft shell crab in a bun. We did feel it was a little pricey for what we actually got on our plates but it's a nice place to go for a special meet-up / occasion if you prefer the relaxed vibe of a pub over a restaurant. Just round the corner from Bushy and Home Parks, you can burn off some calories with a nice stroll before or after your meal. (The £10-20 meal tag is for food only.)

My wife and I are still annoyed one day later about the sub standard lunch we were served in this establishment yesterday. We have been to many pubs for Sunday lunch and can state categorically that what was served up was one of the worst lunches we have ever had. The only positive thing I can say is, the lamb was nice, the roast veg, carrots and parsnips (we think that’s what they were) were burnt, the roast potatoes were disgusting, it seemed to us that they were cooked on Saturday and reheated. Yes we did complain and all we got was a sorry you did not like it, do you want dessert? and they reduced the bill by 10%, big deal, we still payed 90% for pigs swill. Needless to say we will not be attending there again for a meal or a drink for that matter,

Aaah, cosy little Forresters is much like a pub out a fairy tale. Quaint, quirky, cosy with a womb-like drinking atmosphere you can almost stroke like a dog. Small, so can get tight on weekend nights. It has a little restaurant side that doubles as extra drinking space if not too busy trading it's delicious but slightly overpriced fare. 5 stars for being a proper pub. Disappointing. We had a roast on Sunday, having been a few times before and enjoying what we ate. This time however, the food was luke warm and my roast potatoes were hard. The staff were friendly, but not laying cutlery before food was served etc, meant we were sitting with our food in front of us for a few minutes whilst they went off to retrieve them and the sauces. So luke warm food was even more tepid once we could eat it.

We did receive a discount however this was probably one of the worst dining experiences I've had.
