Excellent food, wonderful service from Antonio. We popped in without a reservation and were made to feel very welcome.

My first experience at Bill’s, I took my family for a treat in the early afternoon. The host greeted us well, Elaine looked after us, the food was great and the service was even better!

We came with my family from my home town, we were looking for a place to eat English breakfast and it was amazing! Since the moment we came in we were very well looked after by the host (a lady I don’t know her name). Antonio looked after us and it was incredible!!

We had breakfast here this morning, we were served by Antonio who was wonderfully attentive and considerate. The place was clean, vibrant and comfortable. We had our choice of seating. The service was punctual, efficient and friendly. The food was excellent and came out fast. Overall a great experience. Also my partner is exempt from wearing a mask and this was never questioned despite him looking very healthy. Thank you Bills and Antonio for being considerate!

Had a lovely time here with some friends, one was leaving to start her new life down in Cornwall! The man at the door was friendly and more than happy to seat us even though we only had 40 minutes until 10pm.. our server (Anna I think) was absolutely lovely! So so friendly and attentive, making jokes and providing recommendations! Food was also great.. very satisfied with a special thanks to Anna!

Had a lovely meal at Bills Richmond after a long day with my family. It was very clean and we felt safe as every table was distanced. Our waiter, Antonio, was most accommodating and made our lunch all that better.

Ate here recently. Walked in the door and was pleasantly surprised when I walked in, the decor is lovely, looks very polished. Unfortunately that's where the pleasant surprises stopped. We ordered items that were labelled to suit people who may be in a rush, not that we were, but it just so happened that they both were in this category. We thought that this was a nice little addition to a menu and a good offering for customers. However once the food came, it was apparent that these were quick due to the fact that they had most likely been sitting, pre prepared, under a heat lamp. I had a burger...didn't expect much with that, not a lot to get wrong, fairly standard offering. The burger was completely dry, the veg was wilted, and I nearly broke my tooth trying to get through the added bacon (this may sound like an exaggeration, however I tried breaking it with my hands to show my partner and could barely do so). The chips were also undercooked, dried out and stodgy. I chose to only inform the waiter of the bacon as opposed to the whole meal, as there's not much she can do to improve the quality of food that they offer on a whole...and the member of staff said that the bacon was maybe a bit "sticky", so I informed them that it wasn't "sticky", but more so "solid". The service unfortunately matched the food, they were nice, but didn't care for what they were doing and saw no consequence to it.The final note that I would advise fixing would've to locate the air conditioner somewhere other than right above the stairs to the bathrooms. As you can imagine, if you have a restaurant with an already smelly toilet area, and then you choose to blast your fresh air from directly above that, then the smell is no longer confined to the one location. Overall, I'd advise investing more on training and service offering that matches the heavily invested upon decor...currently mutton dressed as lamb unfortunately. £55 down the drain, however a lesson learned as I will not be returning!

Went for a celebration brunch. Loved the interior and the window view. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. My buttermilk pancakes and pressed juice were delicious. My husband enjoyed the brunch but felt the portions were not very generous - small slices of streaky bacon, small amount of mushrooms, etc. - and felt it was overpriced. Nearly £30 in total and 12% optional service charge added to the bill. We didn't mind paying this as the service had been good but don't like the concept as it would be embarrassing to ask to have it removed from the bill. Overall really enjoyed our visit but not the best value for money, possibly due to the location. I would rate it GOOD (rather than average or very good).

We were seated last minute by a very friendly front of house lady. Antonio looked after us with our food and drinks and was an incredible host. Apart from the tequila smelling hand sanitizer, would 100% recommend Richmond's Bill's.

Having been to a few Bills now post Covid, all seem the same. It didn't feel like apart from the temperature check on entry anything had really been done. Tables in my opinion were extremely close together didn't look like any had been removed. Staff wearing masks below their nose rendering them effectively pointless. Am sure if any on the spot checking were to be done this would not be good.

Visited tonight for first time, interesting menu & great service. It was raining when we got ready to leave & Anna helped us find hair covers so we could get back to the car keeping our locks looking good! Fab service from Anna & look forward to another visit soon

Great aspects leading onto Richmond Bridge, and overlooking the River Thames. Warm and interesting decor, with a friendly and comfortable vibe. Great menu with knowledgeable and attentive staff.

Decor, food and service was very nice , but felt very uncomfortable that staff who served us didn't wear their masks over their noses. This completely defeats the point of wearing a mask, and they kept leaning in very close to our faces. I've been to a few restaurants in covid times and have always felt comfortable, so was quite disappointed.

Probably the best place in Richmond for brunch. My friends and I went at 11 (we had a booking) and were served by Antonio who was very helpful and very friendly. The vegan breakfast was delicious and I liked the option to add eggs to make it vegetarian rather than vegan. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. 10/10 would recommend for a smart-casual brunch.

Went with a friend who is a regular. Was very busy but social distancing between tables. Temperature check as you go in and hand sanitiser on the table. Had to wait a while for our drinks. Food great I had Bill's Classic Burger and my friend had fish finger sandwich. Desserts were yummy mine warm banoffee doughnuts and my friend Bill's Flowerpot - chocolate flowerpot with fruit and edible flower! Great atmosphere and no-one rushing you to leave in a hurry. Definitely on my 'visit again' list!

We benefitted from the eat out to help out scheme which Bill's had extended themselves. The crispy chicken and sesame dumplings were flavoursome and the sea bass fillets with spring onion mash, baby spinach and prosecco hollandaise was delicious. The Manager was very nice and helpful as was our waitress. Restaurant was nicely decorated and nice touch to have sanitiser on each table. Temperature check at the door. Felt safe and comfortable on a busy day.

Great location close to the river & plenty of table space. Reasonable menu choices & a few options for vegetarians. Priced suitable for the location. Recommend the steak and eggs for a light meat choice.

From the welcome, to the service and quality of food, every element of our lunch was perfect. We were served by Antonio who was very welcoming and friendly and went out of his way to make sure we had a really enjoyable experience, his colleagues were equally efficient and friendly too. Our party of four had a mix of starters, main courses, and puddings which were all well cooked, tasty, and of a good portion size. The Flower Pot desert was a real surprise and delight.The wine list was varied with some excellent options, our party tasted the Malbec, Rosé, Sparkling Rosé and Sauvignon Blanc which were good value.

We took advantage of the extended "Eat Out to Help Out" scheme which Bill's is running until the end of September (on their set menu). Really glad we did - £10 instead of £20 for a really delicious sirloin steak - what's not to like?. Reduced prices on the starters and desserts as well, which were also delicious, so we were really impressed with our first visit to this restaurant. Hope all the other restaurants in the chain are as good as Richmond because we will be trying some out before long. Lunchtime was busy but there was a nice atmosphere and there was no particular rush so didn't mind a little delay before our starter arrived, but Antonio looked after us well and did a great job. Thanks Antonio, the chef's and all the staff for making our visit so enjoyable.

Really friendly staff. There was 5 of us plus 5 prams and they were so accommodating and we had our own little area. Great food and service. Vegetarian wellington was amazing!

It doesn't matter which Bill's you visit, they are all just great. I am never disappointed in their restaurants, their food or their service. But Bills Richmond is my absolute favourite!! We once again loved the Eggs Benedict! Perfect eggs!! Also such a great location especially after a lovely walk along the river. Antonio served us this time and he was just great! Warm and attentive. Outstanding service from as soon as we walked in. Went above and beyond as we didn’t have a booking. Giuseppe gave exception service and we were very looked after throughout our time there. Food was delicious and of a high standard. Would highly recommend.

Lots of vegetarian options and food was really good. Served by Antonio who was friendly and helpful. Fast service but we didn't feel rushed and were able to sit and chat long after the meal was finished. All staff very friendly. Shame that the service charge was included as I prefer to leave a tip that reflects the service we got but on this occasion the amount was about right.

Took some people for a birthday brunch inc kids around mid morning. Pancakes looked great and kids loved them. Very sweet and well intentioned server too. Eggs Benedict were ok , kind of functional rather than ‘yum’. The brunch though was rank ...Beans (in a jug) had a skin over the top, eggs were hard/overcooked and the fried potatoes obviously re-warmed from what tasted like the day before. Toast was cold too. Not, cooling off from the toaster. Cold, like from 2 hours earlier. But for having guests With me, I would have sent it back. People on the table next to mine had the same and I could tell they weren’t happy either. £13 for a mediocre fry up is pretty ridiculous especially when there are great alternative restaurants within a 1 min walk. It wasn’t busy either so to resolve , either dump the chef or stick to the pancake specialities. Clearly he/she is incapable of serving up both. Would return with children but for adults , forget it .....amateur hour....

The breakfast came very quick, and the food was ok. Bacon nice and crispy. Didn't like the way the waitress gave a sob story about how they only receive a small portion of the service charge and asked us to tip more on top of that. We're not made of money and eating out is already very expensive.

Arrived just on the cusp of the transfer from breakfast to lunch and wasn't sure if I had missed it.Antonio was extremely helpful and immediately went off to talk with the chef, who agreed to do one which was delicious. All the staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome.

This was my first meet up with a friend in a restaurant during lockdown. We had a lovely lunch ordered chicken skewers and my friend ordered the feta cheese with eggs and an egg royale. We also ordered food for our children which was also very nice and freshly cooked. Our waiter Antonio was so friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be coming back soon! Thank you!

Thought we'd try eat out help out, and can't complain too much. Made a booking and arrived to the restaurant to have our temperatures taken and hands sanitised. I will say i think they need to get rid of some tables in the restaurant. It still is pretty cramped between some tables. Was annoyed that some of the options weren't available on the menu and it wasn't even 6pm yet, but still had a bargain three course meal at a great price. Staff very friendly too.

This is not the first time i've been disappointed in Bill's food in the past two weeks. Today's watery poached eggs was just a bit too far. Thanks to the Eat Out. Help Out. scheme there was a discount which made it a little easier to swallow. Will definitely think twice before dining there again.

Visited at lunchtime today. Very busy but attentive quick service. Food was very good. Giving 5 stars because of the attentive waiting staff (Antonio and a Bulgarian waitress whose name I didnt know). I asked for the avocado and feta without poached egg and he just substituted the egg for exta avocado. This doesnt normally happen. Also kept us well supplied with water

I just wanted to congratulate the team on giving great customer service. We were dealt with promptly and professionally and everything was clean and laid out well. Great choice of drinks and non alcoholic options for us drivers. Various vegetarian options were available and the Halloumi burger was delicious as was the banoffi donuts. Even the bill at the end was dealt with swiftly. Well done team , very happy customers we will be back.

Went there for chicken burger, unfortunately wasn’t available... I should know before I was waiting for table. I get another burger with chicken, unfortunately burger with kind of coleslaw salad inside was way too much for me. Definitely one of the worse burger I’ve ever had. I can’t recommend this place. Can’t complain customer service.

My husband and I turned up today for lunch without a reservation. We were warmly welcomed by Alice and Antonio who looked after us brilliantly and we had a delicious lunch - dumplings, steak, dahl and gooseberry crumble. We always enjoy our visits to Bill's but given the current circumstances we really appreciated their kind attention

Went with group pre England rugby match. Service mixed, from excellent to ignoring us. Food average. Various burgers, all day breakfast, fish finger sandwiches consumed. OK, but simple things wrong, like lukewarm and limp chips etc. Second trip to separate Bills in last few weeks where there has been poor delivery and standards have slipped. Won’t rush back to this chain, something not right

Really nice atmosphere in Richmond right by Richmond bridge. Interesting and entertaining interior. Staff was really friendly and provided a good service. Also asked for any allergy adjustments. Good for meat eater, veggie and vegans!

I am extremely annoyed with Bills in Richmond. This morning (08.03.20) my boyfriend called at 9:45am to see if we could get a table for two for breakfast with a puppy. The guy who answered for Bills said that if we got to the restaurant by 10:30am he would be able to organise a table for us. Me, my boyfriend and our puppy then rushed out of the house, drove over to Richmond, parked in the NCP and walked to Bills to get in and the guy to say “no we have no tables for you”. We wasted our Sunday morning, wasted petrol and parking money all because we were told he would fit us in and then just turned us away with not a care in the world even when I explained the effort we had gone to to get to Bills under his instruction!!! I can’t believe Bills has someone so rude head of house. Terrible manners, terrible service and we will never go to Bills in Richmond again.

We are fans of Bills but had never been to Richmond and were not disappointed. Although we hadn't booked they fitted us in early on saturday evening and it was very good, tasty food and great service. Thank you to lovely waiter who had a 104 year old grandmother from Italy and male manager with Labrador, who looked after us well. We are very sorry not to have a Bills in Northcote Road any more.

Visited Bill’s in Richmond recently for the first time (actually it was my first visit to any Bill’s restaurant). Arrived late for our meal along with my friend we were seated with our friends who had already arrived and had a drink. We caught up with each other and had our drinks and food orders ready but no sign of anyone coming over to take our order. For over 15 minutes we tried to catch someone’s eye as they served other nearby tables but it was impossible. It started to rankle as it felt like they were deliberately avoiding any eye contact, my friend and I were parched after spending ages trying to get a parking space! Eventually I went to the bar to ask someone to come over and take our order. NB: this was a Tuesday and the restaurant wasn’t even at 25% capacity and there was no shortage of staff.Once I said we’d been waiting for a while to place an order someone came over straight away and the service improved dramatically. With our orders placed and our “mocktails” brought over fairly quickly, we chatted whilst waiting for our food. We had some garlic bread to start to ensure we could finish our main courses (and leave space for dessert). I had a chicken dish which was absolutely delicious - I cleaned my plate completely, it was that lovely! One of my friends had the fish pie which she loved. We all opted for dessert and between us we had apple & rhubarb crumble, lemon meringue (I think that’s what it was), ice cream and I had the most amazing banoffee doughnuts YUMMY! The staff were very attentive once they had taken our food and drinks orders.The toilets were in the basement so not the easiest to access if you have mobility issues, and I didn’t notice if there were separate disabled facilities on street level. The décor within the restaurant was quaint and quite endearing. I would return to Bill’s again as I have a hankering for that chicken dish I had. Bill’s is not a cheap restaurant but you’re not going there for fast food so do expect it to be priced accordingly. Our bill came to around £28 a head and a service charge was automatically added to our bill. Overall it was a good experience at Bill’s marred only by the neglect early on in the evening. I’m looking forward to returning at some stage, or even try a more local branch soon.

Vegetarian Wellington came with actual 70's Smash instead of actual mash potato. I knew because you could see and taste the flakes because they hadn't put enough boiling water with it! The tender stem broccoli doubled as tooth floss. My daughter's 1st macc n cheese was burned and went back. The second was edible but it tasted like a processed sauce rather than a fresh cheese sauce - the least you'd expect for £10.95 for a small dish. The staff were friendly at least. Bill's used to be good but this was terrible.

Antonio was wonderful, a really friendly gentleman who helped to make our experience here as baby friendly as possible and as a new mum this was truly appriciated. Great food. The Eggs Royale here is unbeatable.

We love Bills, my partner lived in Lewes where the original restaurant is situated and introduced me to the chain which is an absolute favourite of ours from breakfast/brunch.

I was here for a Christmas dinner a couple of weekends ago. Having placed our orders in advance the service was very slow and the food left a lot to be desired. The roast potatoes tasted like they were from frozen in a packet, my fish was over cooked and the sticky toffee Christmas pudding was bone dry.

Lovely lunch at Bills. Antonio’s service was outstanding, so kind, considerate and helpful to my friends 3 year old. Definitely come back and ideal for families.

Fantastic food, service, and atmosphere. This was my first time in London and out of the 3 days I spent there, 2 of my mornings I spent dining at Bills overlooking river Thames. I had the garden breakfast and also the fruit pancakes and both were to die for. The server Anna was such a sweet and caring soul and made sure I was comfortable and had the best view! Definitely recommend including Bills in your Richmond dining experience.

Situated on the bridge overlooking the river Bills is in a great spot. Staff are friendly and efficient and the menus is clear and straightforward. Lots of table room and no pressure to move on.

We have taken a lot of time and space on a busy Saturday afternoon, but not even once did we feel unwelcome or in the way. The decor of the place is stunning, inside and out, and the service was amazing- thanks to our server Antonio who was perfect.
