The best restaurants serving British food in City of London, Westminster London

3 had set lunch…minimal salad (4 leaves) and tough cut of meat. 4th person had turbot as veggie option was dull and uninspired…. Small (lukewarm) rubbery piece of turbot (£39) with no vegetables. I mildly complained to very nice waitress. We were offered a pudding as compensation which we were charged £9 for… but were given complimentary coffees. Mmm. Will not be recommending or returning.

This is my first trip to London and everyone here made me feel at home . Very nice place with very friendly ppl ..special shoutout to Max , Andrea , Martha n Lavy . U guys are awesome 👏🏽 😎

Absolutely amazing staff, service and food. Definitely recommend the Cider and the wings.

Extremely average. We were in the private dining, so not cheap. Food was bland, wine, despite being expensive, was average. Being an avid watcher of great British menu made me smile thinking of what judge Tom would say about this meal! Service was great though

I absolutely love the vibe of this place—the perfect mix of a cozy bookshop, a great coffee spot, and a stylish bar. However, just a heads-up: they stop serving coffee at exactly 4 PM and switch to bar service only. Even if you walk in just a couple of minutes before and politely beg for a cup, they won’t make an exception. I get the policy, but after walking a long way specifically for a coffee on my birthday, it was a real disappointment. Still, the atmosphere is fantastic, so I’d come back—just earlier next time!

The worlds best. What can I say. Every time is an occasion and you feel like a King, let alone a Duke.

We went to their smallest London speakeasy and really enjoyed the cocktail experience. Will come back to try the main bar as well.

Came to Harry's on a Business Dinner and WOW what can I say.... The food was incredible (I recommend the steak!) , Staff were super friendly and made us feel very welcomed. The atmosphere was amazing. Overall incredible experience and we will be coming back very soon.

One of my favourite Pret’s! All the staff are so friendly and it is really spacious inside. But what makes this place really great - is Orlando and Sean and Tanisha !!! They are always so polite and helpful, and the barista skills are second to none 😎 A real credit to Pret and the service industry in general. Thanks to the team and thanks Pret!

Visited here for an Under The Posts event, hosted by Chris Cowdrey. Started with drinks upstairs in the pub, good service and choice of drinks, then meal downstairs, very good for "mass catering", the event was good fun. Some reviews are less favourable but absolutely not my experience, I think this is a really good venue.

Loved the authentic Thai cuisine, especially the Chicken Green Curry. I've added it to my barguide.london site too!

Traditional pub just off Fleet Street. Good selection of ales and lagers. Good food. Friendly, professional service.The landlady is Peruvian, makes delicious empanadas y sabe español. Highly recommended!
