Terminamos nuestro almuerzo en el restaurante con una bebida en el bar. Hemos visitado el Ritz varias veces, pero nunca hemos llegado al bar. Era más pequeño de lo que esperaba. El servicio y las bebidas eran impecables y el ambiente era casi perfecto, pero malcriado por la música horrible. Sé que la música es una preferencia personal, pero esto fue bastante banal y estábamos justo debajo del altavoz. ¿Por qué no ir por algo del período? Por lo menos sería coherente. Volveremos, pero evitaremos los altavoces. Aparte, el hombre de la mesa de al lado llevaba jeans cortados; creo que es importante ser consistente.

This iconic spot was a must for us on our first visit to London. I had a pimms cocktail and my daughter had the May cocktail of the month - the Sakura. Deliciously refreshing and a beautiful start to our holiday. We also picked up the Limited Edition The Ritz London Monopoly travel board since my daughter is a monopoly collector - perfect memento from our trip!

Amazing bar! Amazing drinks and service! To the naysayers out there: yes there is a dress code! It harks back to a by-gone age when people dressed up for a night out even for a drink. Yes we walked by earlier and were "turned away" politely at entrance due to my sneakers/"trainers" so I came back with later in the night with my wife (now appropriately dressed) and were blown away at the elegance of the Rivoli bar. The service is exceptional. I got a more expensive Negroni with older more refined liqueurs /spririts and the Asst Manger Gaetano D' Amato brought out the bottles in a beautiful little wheeled cart and prepared my drink before my very eyes! Amazing negroni! We definitely will come back and they have turned us into fans! My wife's drink also was superb and we had a wonderful time at this timeless classic. Highly recommend! And what is the harm in dressing up and looking good/classy for your significant other!

Went in for a glass of champagne as we were visiting London and always wanted to have a drink in the Ritz. When we entered the bar the waitress very clearly, looked me up and down with a curl to her lip and told me that they could not serve me because I had sneakers on. I completely understand a dress code and had my overnight bag with me with a pair of heels in it so I said I would change and she led me to the bathroom. I have no issue with the dress code but the way I was made to feel, like I was less than, or slobby looking was so insulting and ruined the entire experience to be honest. I t was so uncalled for and unnecessary - good customer service can ask you to change without making you feel this way.

Rude throughout, went to celebrate purchasing a wedding suit from Jermyn Street , security allowed us entry and were so friendly and accommodating, even gave us a tour. The man who allowed entry to the bar was rude and stuck up and refused entry as one of us had trainers on. They were smart expensive trainers and the way it was explained to us was rude and quite frankly disgraceful. The doormen were great and even took our bags to the concierge and showed us to the bar. Unfortunately, the bar staff were extremenly rude and we were made to feel as though we were not good enough to be there. Why let people in the door knowing they’ll be going to the bar to be turned away at the bar. When we left again after 2 minutes the doormen were so apologetic and frankly seemed confused. Maybe you should align policies so people don’t get turned away after being told they could go to the bar. It unfortunately put a damp feel on our otherwise celebratory occasion. It would be nice if the bar receptionist was taught people skills and communication.

Popped in for an impromptu light lunch and refreshments. The service, as would be expected for The Ritz, was impeccable whilst still convivial, a combination that made the visit memorable and relaxing. We are very much looking forward to returning in April.

What a wonderful experience. From the moment you enter the ritz you feel like royalty. Some of our group were wearing trainers and knew of the dress code and changed very discreetly. It was handled beautifully. Robert the doorman is charming. Everyone should visit at leats once in their lifetime. The rival while traditional still feels luxurious and super special.

Such a shame I always have glass of champagne here but waiter poured it from a great height from half empty bottle so it fizzed alarmingly then went flat . I called him over and asked for new bottle and was told I had tasted it first and thought it was ok ( which I had whilst it was still fizzing ) saw the new bottle then still had one which had been opened , was ok but not brilliant. £30 a glass and the place it is , makes a customer very unhappy.

Visited The Rivoli Bar on New Year’s Day for a treat and it was definitely worth the splurge! Beautiful decor, lovely atmosphere, impeccable service and cocktails made for us that were not on the menu. A day to remember and my favourite five star hotel in London.

Attempted to pop in for after-dinner drinks on a quiet Tuesday evening. We were turned away due to the "dress code." the problem was not with my husband and I who are Caucasian, but with our friends who were not. Our male companion was wearing shoes embossed with black crystals and his wife's shoes were embossed with clear crystals. None of us were shabbily dressed as we had just come from dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant. However, the thousands of dollars of footwear worn by our companions was not good enough for the Ritz. Is this an insanely outmoded dress code or a convenient way to deny entry to persons of color? I got the distinct impression it was the latter. No worries. The Bar at the Connaught was more than happy to accept us.

When you hear 'The Ritz' you think of extravagance, class, high quality. Unfortunately, my trip for a coffee didn't meet this expectation. Firstly, we did not have a booking, and we had not planned to visit. Having just had the most beautiful breakfast over the road in Hide, we left saying 'shall we grab a coffee somewhere?' as the end of December weather across Green Park was pretty bleak. With it being a special occasion (husbands 40th) I quickly googled whether the Ritz takes walk in's and was delighted that they did, thinking 'Well this will be better than a costa!'. Let me just take a moment to make one thing clear- the cost of the coffee was irrelevant and would never ever have been an issue. I am very fortunate to have been able to afford the exclusive £29 a cup coffee at Hide, had that been what my husband wanted on his special day. In walking up to The Ritz, we were immediately met by a doorman, who I would describe as not particularly welcoming. Whilst we were not in Ball Gowns and Black Tie, with Hide, Apricity and The Omakase Experience at the Aubrey booked, we were smart casual, even at 11am. I asked if we were able to come in for a coffee. He looked us up and down and said 'We do actually have a dress code policy here, but as they are not trainers that OK as we don't allow them' (I was wearing a heeled boot and my husband was wearing rather expensive Clarks Original Wallabees so not sure why he mentioned trainers, but whatever, it wasn't warm and welcoming). We went in and had to track down staff, who told us the bar didn't open until 11.30 but if we walked down to the dining area they were sure someone could help. I approached a young girl who seemed very refused by me asking 'would we be able to order a coffee please?' Another man ushered us to a seat. They did not take an order. About 5 minutes later, a pot of coffee arrived, which I assumed was not ours (we had not seen a menu or anything) but he insisted the two coffees were ours. A short while later, 2 ladies opposite us received table service that provided options; mocha, americano (like you can get in Costa or Greggs you know?!). Maybe we just looked like regular coffee drinkers?! The coffee itself was nice enough. I didn't think the £21 was too excessive given the location. It is a shame I had to find someone to give us a bill however. It was a beautiful location. And i'm sure service is better for people who book. The irony is that I saw at least 3 people in trainers whilst we were in there.... and they weren't balenciagas or Gucci, bog standards Adidas and Nike! Oh well!

Wildly expensive, a lavish treat but absolutely worth it. The service is impeccable, cocktails heavenly. Gorgeous bar and fun vibe.

We came for late afternoon drinks to end a fantastic day in London, visiting great shops and restaurants. The hospitality at the Ritz was exemplary. We were given a great table and quickly served a winter cocktail and a glass of house Champagne from a freshly opened bottle. The host was perfect - friendly but still ensuring that it was clear that he was trying to look after us and make our visit great. The bar is gorgeous - really outstanding - as is the whole hotel. The Christmas trees and decorations were fantastic - the whole place was like a movie set. The staff throughout were faultless - really helpful and warm. We were given complimentary snacks which were really tasty and much appreciated. My son had two cocktails and I had two good-sized glasses of Champagne - the bill was about £100 - considering the whole experience, we were happy with that. We popped into the Cigar Bar on the way out - for anyone who loves the nostalgic smell of cigars - you must visit. The Ritz is beautiful - such a fantastic iconic London landmark. The Rivoli is my new favourite bar in London. Thanks for adding a little extra touch of magic to our brilliant day out in London. ( our visit was so great, the magic stayed with us and soothed the misery of the long but interesting walk to Euston for the train back to Glasogw, only to discover that no trains had left Euston all day due to problems at Watford )

First time in London. The Ritz London, a must for an aperitif in this stunning place. It was recommended by our friend who used to work at the Dorchester. Working in the luxury hotel and catering business as well, we are super aware and obviously understand the dress code to be respected. We're all about dressing smartly! As our hotel was out of the center, we have combined comfort, coolness and simplicity dressed (turtleneck, classic pant and loafers for Monsieur and turtleneck, skirt, fur coat and boots for me). We arrived for a drink and were greeted by two concierges, one of them approached us with total arrogance and without any finesse and education (which normally characterises our profession) looking at my boyfriend from head to toe… which means ? It's a shame I don't have his name, but he still has a long way to go with delicacy. Fortunately, a REAL concierge very quickly and warmly invited us to join the bar. The Rivoli bar, a good time spent with attentive and friendly staff.

Finally managed to enter the hallowed Rivoli Bar at the Ritz. We were lucky as called in on a wet afternoon and it was virtually empty. Had a lovely leisurely couple of cocktails in beautiful surroundings.

Getting into the Rivoli bar is without doubt a little off putting, lied to by the doorman that they were full then the hostess on Saturday lunchtime walked us out of the bar to her rostrum to look at her list although we were in the bar and there was plenty of empty tables. Although we were dressed smart I detected a lot of snobbery which was quite sad really could we afford to drink there was the impression I got from the hostess. It was my birthday so we just wanted a quick glass of champagne before heading off to the theatre. Apart from the above the bar is very nice with an old school service albeit very slow.

The Rivoli Bar is one of the most beautiful in London. My wife and I have been regulars for years and now you can make reservations most nights of the week, we will indeed be going more often, in fact we are booked again for December. The staff have always been most welcoming, the cocktails superb, and the ambience is really second to none. It sets itself apart from so many other 'cool bars' in The Capital, it really is a one off. Not cheap, but hey it is The Ritz, what price perfection. We have also stayed at The Ritz Hotel a number of times over the years but lately I haven't been able to get the dates I need as the hotel is so busy. Good for the hotel, shame for us though. Try The Rivoli Bar, I doubt you will be disappointed.

Very disappointed in the service we received from just one member of staff. I unfortunately did not manage to get her name but she seemed to be managing the bar when we tried to go for a drink this evening (2nd November). Upon arrival with my husband, sister, mother and 7 month old, who was asleep in his pram, a lovely gentleman was going to arrange a table for us for a drink. However, as he was looking for a table the lady who I assume was managing the bar took one look at us with the pram and told us there was no room at all for us to have a drink even though there were clearly tables free. I would like to note that every other member of staff we dealt with were delightful and very surprised that we were not given a table for a drink. We left very disappointed and will not return anytime soon.

We visited The Ritz , because it’s The Ritz so why not . At the door I wA questioned on my footwear (£160 timberlands ), after a debate allowed in . When we hit in the Rivoli bar I noticed some quite under dressed people , wearing Skechers , and some tatty boots ! … really 🤔 … we tried the cocktails 😡 £25-30 each , never seen cocktail ! .. the bill came with service charge (mandatory ) of 12.5 % , for what ??? !! never again , go in for a name , a name that lives on its name not it’s quality or service ! rubbish , tasteless , ridiculous expense !

We were booked for dinner in the Ritz dining room and popped into the Rivoli bar for a pre dinner cocktail. It was surprisingly busy but we managed to get a table. The cocktails were lovely. We were given vegan nibbles and helped to find cocktails that were suitable for vegans. A lovely start to a lovely evening.

Following a lovely afternoon tea we came to the Rivoli Bar for cocktails. It is a beautiful bar with very attentive staff. We were celebrating a special birthday and it was the perfect venue. There is a great selection of cocktails. Hopefully will visit again.

Beautiful and elegant bar with friendly staff, excellent food and drink offerings. I really enjoyed the lobster roll and the chocolate dessert. Service and atmosphere were top notch! Look forward to returning later this year.

This is supposed to be one of the best bars in London in a corner of the Ritz however the service lets it down. The bar is very art deco with Lalique panels in the wall. We asked for a table for 4 but could only get a table for 2 but we’re promised a 4 in 30 mins. We asked again after 25 mins and were assured the table. We asked again when our family arrived and we’re told the table was reserved for someone else! We were given a table outside the bar but after a few minutes had to ask for menus. No one took the order so we had to go to the bar to order. Cocktails were good but this is s 5 star bar with 3 star service. It needs sorting!

A bar with a lot of character and history. Obviously being part of the Ritz the cocktails are not cheap. The bar was full which contributed to a great atmosphere. The service was friendly and efficient, however it looked like everyone was being served with a dish of olives with their drinks but we were not offered any? There is a piano in the bar but no one was playing it at the time of our visit. Other than that it was a pleasant experience.

An amazing experience and a truly amazing occasion. Amazing service, ambiance, drinks and night in what can be described as a ironic bar in London within the most famous of hotels. I cannot do it justice with regards to how much we were looked after, how fantastic every cocktail and drink was. Even the late night food. For me, a first entry into this fabulous hotel and the bar. I hope not my last.

This bar at the Ritz is one of the best and most iconic bars in the world. The ambiance is amazing, beautiful period art deco everywhere. The staff is so nice and welcoming. The drinks are great. There is a dress code for this hotel and bar. If you show up in a t-shirt and shorts, you aren't getting in; that's on you. If you dress properly, no problem, and you'll have an awesome time here. This is a mandatory stop for me every time I visit London, and I highly recommend it.

I took my son here after we’d been to Buckingham Palace as a special treat. We each had a cocktail served with olives, almonds and chilli crackers. The Rivoli Bar did not disappoint - beautiful sumptuous art deco surroundings with a great atmosphere and dramatic beautiful cocktails! Great fun and would recommend as a treat. Don’t expect a bargain though…….it is The Ritz!

Really sad to write this. Went to meet my friend who was already in the Rivoli bar and the doorman wouldn’t let me in. Another door man agreed when I said my friend was waiting for me and remembered her. On arriving I waited about 20 minutes to order a drink. By this time my friend had finished hers so we decided there was no point in me ordering. She had to go and find someone to pay the bill. Such a shame! It’s a beautiful place but not worth the bother. Treated very badly even though we were paying customers like everyone else.

I was in London yesterday with my daughter who was going to her Gold Duke of Edinburgh presentation. I thought I would treat her to a drink at The Ritz as it was a special occasion only to be ignored completely sitting at one of the tables in the hallway whilst other people around us were served. After waiting for about 15 minutes we had to ask for a menu and then were ignored again. I was absolutely gutted that we ran out of time and had to leave without being served to get to the presentation. I was so looking forward to treating my daughter on such a special occasion but we were bitterly disappointed. It was not the experience I was hoping to give my daughter.

My sister & I had the most wonderful time at the exquisite Rivoli Bar at the iconic Ritz London Hotel! We went for dinner off the bar menu & drinks. We shared Crab Rolls, Caesar Salad with Chicken & a chocolate hazelnut dessert-all were absolutely delicious with beautiful presentation. My sister got a special cocktail with gold flakes & she loved it. I was too jet lagged for alcohol & they were so gracious about serving my Diet Coke-just what I wanted! The service in every regard throughout our experience in the bar & with the doorman was warm, gracious & welcoming. They told us the bar is designed so that guests feel like they’re in a jewelr box & we certainly did! We had such a great evening at the Ritz & I recommend it highly. I saw some reviews saying the hotel staff was not friendly or that it has a snooty air - our experience was the complete opposite. We didn’t wear jeans or trainers (against their dress code) but were not dressed to the nines either & were treated with such warmth. There was a family at the next table with a young child & they received the same outstanding service. I can’t wait to go back!
