The only positive thing to mention is the special ambience of the room. Otherwise a very negative experience. We were greeted by an unfriendly doorman and then more unfriendly bar staff. Prices I found expensive even by London standards with pale ale pints costing over £8. Toilets were locked and the whole place smelt awful. There are enough good pubs. I can't recommend this one.

We visited Waxy O'Connor’s last weekend with a group of friends, and honestly, it was one of the most unique pubs I’ve ever been to in London. It's not just a regular Irish pub – it's a whole experience. The interior is like something out of a fantasy movie, with multiple levels, hidden corners, wooden decor, and even a huge tree growing inside the building! The atmosphere was lively but not overwhelming. It’s a great place whether you’re grabbing a drink after work or spending a full night out. Despite being quite busy, the staff were friendly and fast, and the service was smooth. The drink selection was solid too – of course, they have Guinness, but also other Irish and local beers on tap. The location is perfect – just a few minutes' walk from Piccadilly Circus, right in the heart of London. They also show sports events on big screens, which adds another reason to come back. If you’re looking for a pub with real character, a warm and energetic vibe, and something a bit different than the usual pub scene, Waxy O’Connor’s is a must. We had a great time and would definitely go again!

When I was trying to leave, the staff that cornered me, were being rude and unfair and we were forced to pay for drinks we didn’t order simply to be able to leave. Considering they don’t give you the drinks till you pay for them it’s seems like it’s an inside scam to try and catch you out when you’re vulnerable.

A small group of us were over for the marathon from ireland yesterday and tried to visit your pub after we finished the race to watch the GAA. The door staff were unnecessarily arrogant and dismissive upon arrival. Lovely setting and atmosphere but £8.55 for a pint of Camden Hells? (A local beer brewed up the road!). The most expensive pint I’ve ever bought outside of the O2 Arena! Not sure if that was just Saturday surge pricing or if that’s the normal price, but that certainly isn’t the norm for Soho as other reviewers have said. Nowhere else around there have I paid over £7, let alone £8! Seems to have become a bit of a tourist trap, which is a shame. London’s Temple Bar maybe.

If you want to live the experience of London at night you cannot miss visiting this place. From the outside it seems small but from the moment you enter the door it surprises you, it has several floors, distributed in an area for eating and drinking something and only for drinking; The place has fabulous decoration. There is live music, the staff is quite friendly. Despite looking touristy, it is a bar with a lot of atmosphere, you can see the city's own people who leave work and meet here for a drink. We had some burgers and they were surprisingly delicious. The prices are average for bars and meals in London. It has a super original and cool confession chapel available so that after a couple of drinks you can confess your sins and cleanse your soul hahaha widely recommended to visit at least once!
