The afternoon tea was delicious! And they catered to our guest’s gluten free dairy free allergies. The staff were So wonderful and made it a great experience for our baby too. Loved afternoon tea here, will definitely be back.

Excellent evening all round. We had the taster menu which included a carafe of sake. Each dish was delicious and well paced. Good atmosphere nice and quiet. Staff were attentive and explained each dish.

Horrible experience. Waitresses are rude, combative and I will never return. I was told when seated that they were offering food. Then when I tried to order, I was refused after already ordering drinks. When I tried to leave, I was told I have to pay for the drinks. Another waitress, I think the manager, came over and told us that we in fact could order food... I sat back down and no one came to take a food order. After 30 minutes from start to finish, without being able to order food, we just gave up and left, £11.50 later for two cokes that we only ordered to enjoy with the food. It's Mayfair... the tone of both waiting staff was argumentative, rude and not acceptable. Disappointing waste of money.

Wonderful venue with truly excellent service, exemplary cocktails and fantastic food. Only downside? The peculiar lack of bottled water. Presumably a recent change made by a central procurement team out of touch with reality.

We had an afternoon tea experience and we loved it! The tea was unlimited, the treats and the cakes were very tasty and a lot in quantity! And the staff was super polite. The atmosphere of the restaurant is elegant and modern. Totally worth it!

Last night I went to this club with my fiance,it was our engagement celebration.We wanted to have few drinks at nearby our hotel ,as we were staying in double tree hilton hotel Kensington . The Arab security men didn't let us in ,they said we can't go in as we weren't staying in the hotel. I told my partner we step a side to see if they will let other people in.Few minutes later a group of people were let in ,they weren't staying in the hotel. I was discriminated because of my skin colour.I was denied to go in because I am a black woman.We went back to our Hotel my fiance decided to go back with his 2 white male coligues.They didn't recognise him and they did let them in.He immediately questioned them why they didn't let us in earlier,and why they discriminated his black woman ,but they completely ignored him.My fiancy videoed the whole situation.I was surprised to experience racism in London. I thought London was the most diverse City in Europe. I am not going to London night club again due to racism.

We loved the omakase food tasing experience. Only one item missed the mark. We recommend taking out the chicken from this tasting experience as it was too salty and had too much cartilage that we had to spit out. This is why we rated a 4 and not 5. The service however, was impeccable.

Rude bouncers at the door even though the place was nearly empty. The crowd was about 80pct men and some very poorly dressed people. Clearly there is no standards in that place anymore. I would avoid.

A delicious and satisfying experience. Service was impeccable and the food was delicious. The ambiance was nice as well. My only complaint is that the music was too loud given the size and space and how many people were there.

Incredibly tasty dishes , with very powerful flavours for the Japanese section of the menu … tuna ribbons,scallops and black pepper aubergine … Even the version of the margarita cocktail had incredible zing …Not for the faint palated ! the Zen ambience was beautiful and tasteful and the vibes played by the live young woman dj matched the setting perfectly… many thanks indeed to the very friendly and pleasant waitress Jaroslava also

Perfect place to plan the night ahead

Left standing on arrival 4 team members ignored us. I asked where the bathrooms were waitress pointed to a door didn’t explain I had to go into hotel and up the stairs. Waitress dismissive and unfriendly .Priced based on service was shocking, real shame as the food was delicious.

Went to the restaurant on my birthday last week and planned on ending the night at the bat, but the Arab Bouncer at the bar was TOTALLY RACIST and discriminated against us. He turned us down from entering because of our race(he turned us down through, despite his colleague from the restaurant taking us across and asking him to allow us in). Then he let a certain race enter and many as that. His ignorance meant he turned away black females with BA Hons and PhD. Shame on you! now I know what the American visitors meant by you having to be a certain hierarchy to get in the bar.

Made a booking for the bespoke dining experience for 2 people through this app, all was confirmed and when we arrived to the table one of the most rude waiters informed us it’s actually only available for groups. He was the least helpful person who clearly just hates his job. So after waiting about 20 mins to even order a drink I finally got his attention to, he then insisted we order a la carte which I hesitantly did. Once the food start arriving to the very small table there was no space so I asked if it would be possible to move to one of the THREE larger tables right in front of us that were free he then told us oh I’ll just bring your food after you finish this dish so there was no option for us to try everything together, he was the least helpful person and it really ruined the vibe of the night. We spent a lot more than we should have and the food wasn’t the best if I’m being honest. Very poor service I would highly recommend hiring people who have personal skills and are not rude.

Esme's professionalism was evident as she expertly navigated the intricacies of the menu, providing insightful recommendations and ensuring that every detail of our meal was attended to. Her knowledge of the dishes and ingredients reflected a genuine passion for the culinary arts. As we indulged in our meal, it became evident that the restaurant not only excelled in service but also in the quality of its cuisine. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavour and artfully presented. From the appetisers to the desserts, every bite was a symphony of taste sensations. The ambiance of the restaurant further contributed to the overall dining experience. The décor was elegant yet inviting, creating a relaxed and intimate atmosphere perfect for enjoying a memorable meal. Last night in London, this experience of flavour, service and quality just made my personal list of top 3 restaurants ever! Just wow. Our talented waiter from Italy, Bartender from Greece and the asst GM Patrik delivered an experience of absolute genuine passion. Visited in September 2023. This is based on my third visit to TMFB. Usually a cool and swanky bar, with lots of local movers and shakers, big with after work crowds and tourists. The menu is eclectic and offers something uniquely different compared to the usual tipple choices - however classics are available on request, we tried the May Fair Passion and Paloma - fresh, vibrant and with extra shudder for good measure. The space is open, dark, with spots for intimacy/privacy and tables for the big nights out. This particular visit was incredibly busy, with lots of loud chitter chatter full of hedonistic revellers, which added to the atmosphere but became a tad too much towards the end. Not one of the ‘must visit’ bars, but a good place to consider.

I had the best time at May Fair Kitchen celebrating my 30th. The food was fantastic! The staff were amazing.

Too loud and overcrowded, very much becoming a part of the, get as many people in for maximum profit without considering the value of people.

Excellent service from wonderfully amiable staff. The lobster tempura is divine and the crab on the seafood platter is to die for. Couldn’t be happier to be a regular of this fine restaurant.

Overall food and ambience is good. The mushroom risotto and lamb chops were great. On the otherhand the lobster tempura was a complete dud. I expected light and crispy fried lobster meat instead it was some dough ball with no identifiable lobster meat. For the money charged it was a total disappoint and should be removed from the menu.

I have to say the staff were lovely and very helpful. Sadly the food was not up to scratch. We had pizza which was small and my husband had salami on his which was flavourless and greasy. There was very little choice and was not what I would call authentic Italian. The wine was ridiculously expensive! I understand it’s London but there are some very good less pricey wines available.

Not really sure this fusion works, food portions are very small for the price and taco gyoza that just tastes like vinegar is underwhelming, It seems people were mainly having drinks here and the cocktails were lovely but for dinner there are better places The venue is fine if somewhat a bit too noisy as people are getting their drink on. But once again better places to eat then here.

The service and food was top notch. Really good value when compared to some other places that charge upwards of £70 for an afternoon tea. They asked us if we wanted more of anything as well, we didn't as there was plenty for us, but that was a nice touch. Very happy with our afternoon tea and would happily go back even without the special offer.

The guys behind the bar work extremely hard and get drinks out fast. The drinks are delicious and the atmosphere is very nice. Highly recommended to anyone in the area looking for an upscale bar.

Delicate, subtle, sublime. That was how fantastic the food was, served in a calm quiet setting. It was a quiet lunchtime with not many people there, but nevertheless, service was very efficient and professional. Nice relaxed ambience. Yes it’s pricey, but this is Mayfair! If you like high grade food with the wow factor, this is for you. A perfect lunch which leaves a smile on your face, thoroughly recommended.

Perhaps dial back the incense and loud music, but other than that, a great delicious meal. They encourage 3 plates per person a la carte, dependent on hunger, and what you select, you may want to reduce that by 1 or 2.

Starters excellent. Pizza was extremely disappointing for £20 the size of a side plate. Also, knives are extremely small, made the pizza very hard to cut! The Italian mains were great. Pizza was the big disappointment.

I won't say it's a very good experience with 2 reasons. 1> there's a voucher in opentable, prepay 60 GBP non-refundable, for 85 course, and give up additional points which is another promotion. A reasonable assumption is that I could get the course with 60 GBP as promotional choice...while it's not! We still paid in full - so what's the point to pre-pay this voucher??? Store staffs are also not professional enough in dealing with this challenge - they just repeated saying you should ask open table, it's their website...?! Hardly imagine this in such a decent place; 2> for the course itself (omakase), 6 dishes including last is the dessert. I would say each of the dishes is good, but as a course, it's not good mix. 3 out of 5 dishes are in bonsu flavour, 1 in wasabi, another forgot...but bonsu flavour too dominant in the dishes, which is just 1 type of Japanese taste. Omakase should be real Chef's choice and should have good mix of tastes to really help guest taste the concept, but I didn't really enjoy too much.

Exquisite food! The beef gyoza tacos with truffle chilli were so tasty and with a real kick. And then the baked burrata with rocket and lemon salad was just as good! Beautiful restaurant, just a shame it wasn't busier to give it a bit more buzz - but this was a Tuesday lunchtime

Japanese/ Italien fusion menu. Not convinced this works. Pizza & Gyoza? Individually - some lovely flavours and the chefs are obviously talented. However - it’s all very expensive. We’ve all had memorable pizza/ pasta/ risotto and at May Fair Kitchen it is small portions and highly charged for - so poor value. The Japanese cuisine was tasty and delicious - though expensive. One simple but stand out dish was the King Prawns Tempura. Would I go back? No. The ambience and Restaurant design are lovely and the staff were helpful and attentive. Probably would work better as one menu or the other? I’ve eaten Italien in Japan and the quality was phenomenal so I understand the thinking behind the concept. Overall experience was tainted by the high prices and a confused palette.

Perfect for a special occasion. The blend of Japanese and Italian cuisine is very complementary, of equal quality and caters for different tastes. The ambience is sophisticated but also comfortable and welcoming. The service is very polite and attentive. The small plates were served in a good order and at a pace to allow time to savour the quality of food.

When I booked it was for a birthday, I requested a birthday desert. Upon getting there they tell me they do not do that there, which was the whole point of the dinner. The service the waitress was rude and was like she didn’t want to be there and the food was minimal. Was still hungry. The vibe, atmosphere was incredible that was the only positive

They required €150i in Nov ‘23 to hold our reservation for 12/25/23. Our server gave us the wrong bill (approx €228). I was honest and pointed it out- he tried to correct 2other times. I, thought our credit of the €150 was taken into account (it showed in the incorrect bill). I get back home from trip and see we were charged €600 for our meals and drinks (plus no credit for the €150 we previously paid.) we had 3 meals at €145 (x3), 3 glasses of €12 wine, 1 glass Amarone €24 and 2 old fashions. The math isn’t difficult-tip included in pricing. The restaurant said 12/28 it takes time to research. 1/8 they said I would hear from them that week—-it’s 1/18 and not a word. Hoping the negative review gets positive action to resolve.

We did the Christmas Pre Fixed Menu. Main course and dessert were 5 stars! Delicious!! Service was 5 stars, as was ambiance. The appetizer and palate cleanser were not that good. We would come back but not for the pre planned menu. Very expensive… but overall 4 stars. Thankyou

Mucha descoordinación en el servicio. Los camareros no sabían que de mesa eran los platos y no traían las cosas que se habían pedido. Además la cocina tardaba mucho en hacer los platos. No puede ser que en el restaurante de un hotel de cinco estrellas el servicio del restaurante sea tan pésimo y más en la comida de navidad, además de que nos habían hecho elegir lo que íbamos a comer con tres semanas de antelación. Como quejas menores cabe destacar que no había nadie atendiendo la gente que entraba al restaurante y tampoco encontraban las reservas en el IPad. Tampoco cogían los abrigos a los comensales y hacían dejarlos en las sillas. En general, fue una experiencia muy desagradable y pésima en un restaurante que se encuentra en el mejor barrio de Londres y en un hotel de lujo. No volveré.

クリスマスランチに訪れる。非常に騒がしいが、忙しいクリスマスランチなので仕方がないか。　スターターは、二人別々で　ホタテ　と　サラダ　、メインは、ビーフ　ウェリントン　を注文していた。　付け合わせの　温野菜が　スターターと同時に出てきて　また　メインでも同じものが出た。メインの付け合わせが　2回　提供された。　テーブルには、クリスマスクラッカーが容易されていて　クリスマスランチらしい。

Great food, very good service. One slight hiccup with one dish, quickly rectified without fuss. Very enjoyable ambience, thankfully not loud despite the festive season. Only minor drawback was the price (though we knew what we were getting into). Maybe 15-20% too high in my view? But would be very happy to return. Thanks!

I have been to Mayfair kitchen and it’s was my fourth time there and I was very disappointed with the service and food. The a la carte menu changed and the new menu wasn’t great. I asked for Pasta but the waiter forgot and I decided I didn’t want it anymore because I had waited for too long. The service just wasn’t great and the music was too loud and couldn’t even hear myself speak whilst talking to my friends. It was my birthday and wanted to have a great time but unfortunately, I didn’t. Hopefully it improves.

Good place, decent food. I went with a client and one of the lady staff was extremely rude, Had to report to the manager as we felt she needed some help. Overall decent.

We booked a bar seat on open table but once there found out we could only order from bar menu. Fortunately the host got us a table. This should be fixed on your end and made clear about food service. Good was good as was service. It was Saturday night and they had a DJ 10 feet from us so it was loud

A last minute find but glad we did. Had a very nice meal here. The Italian Japanese mix was something different but it worked, some had bits from both sides of the menu. We had Prawn and Lobster Tempura, Carpaccio, the Japanese Fillet and the Italian Rib-eye, then the cheesecake and Tiramisu for desert. All dishes were excellent. Had a nice bottle of Malbec to accompany the beef. Service while very friendly was a bit haphazard, we had to chase a starter a few times then they started bring the mains instead .... all sorted in the end though. Would recommend.

The food was nice but we felt they were rushing us

The waiters were not attentive. They got the order wrong then confused the mains with the starter and brought both out at the same time. The waiter who brought them out mumbled something about what the mains was and left before we could even reply. I’ve never seen service like this ever, in any country. It was very very poor. I asked for my service charge to be removed from the bill, which I never do but I couldn’t pay service charge for that. All in all it was just an extremely expensive wasted night. A mid budget chain restaurant would have been a better shout.

First off, it is worth noting how many ecstatically glowing 5 star reviews there are on here for this restaurant by people who have only made 1 contribution/review to Tripadvisor ever, and who all have entered their names as a full first name and then a one initial surname. If you look at the reviews by people who have made a lot of contributions/done reviews on Tripadvisor, then on the whole they are much more critical. First the pros. The food tasted very nice. Now the cons. If you like a restaurant with a DJ pumping out loud monotonous house music all night (and I work in the music industry and love house music), with (on the whole), non smiling, non friendly senior staff, plus a clientelle of people who are all dressed in black and seem to be more intent on looking cool than enjoying themselves, in a dimly lit restaurant that is tagged on the to the side of a hotel's reception, with massively overpriced food then this is the place for you. I'm quite happy to pay for a good meal. But when you order some sashimi, and you receive six wafer thin (and I mean WAFER thin) pieces of fish around 4cm x 2cm on a plate with a drizzle of soy/ponzu and one piece of chilli and that's £20 you have to question whether you've made the right decision to dine somewhere. I've had sashimi a billion times and never seen it so thin. There were quite a few dishes like this which were just a rip off. Even in Nobu you get more substantial portions, for similar money. To be fair, other dishes were more substantial, and also very nice, but still pricey. The food is Japanese and Italian, so there was a good choice of options. Our waiter from Brescia was also very nice. The staff were professional on the whole, they just need to try and smile a bit more - being moody and wearing a black shirt does not make you cooler. It just makes quality diners like me, who expect warmth from staff, not to return. Four people, incl 8 cocktails, a very small sake, £475. No puddings. Not worth it for me.

Had a dj playing music that was so loud I had to shout to be heard. Service was bang average which was unexpected for the high prices they charge. Will not be going back. Complained about noise and service but with zero empathy they didn’t make any kind of gesture to correct the wrongs.

This is a stiff restaurant that is overpriced, but very good food. We were directed to a table for eight people, but were seated so far apart that we didn't get to talk to each other. We asked to change tables, which was arranged. We were seated by speakers from the DJ playing loud music, and it was impossible to talk without shouting at each other. The staff was nice and accommodating. But all in all.. expensive and noisy.

The service can improve a little particularly in terms of attitude, coordination and speed.

Although I quite like the Little Moon mochi ice cream from Waitrose, I’d rather not see them as a dessert in a restaurant, especially not if they charge £85 for the tasting menu. The cocktails were great though and the hostess was very kind (one waitress on the other hand, not so much)
