This is my first trip to London and everyone here made me feel at home . Very nice place with very friendly ppl ..special shoutout to Max , Andrea , Martha n Lavy . U guys are awesome 👏🏽 😎

Was a bit quiet for a Friday evening but that was nice as it meant there was more choice for where we could sit and the hosts to accommodate us. Drinks at the lounge bar first which was really nice as they had travel themed cocktails. Dinner in the kitchen restaurant was lush. We asked for a nice table in a warm area as it was a freezing February evening. The waiters were really helpful and didn't push us to hurry even though it had got close to closing at the end of our meal. I was celebrating a very special big milestone birthday and recently getting a new job, so the staff brought out some lovely desserts to help us celebrate and mark the occasion (THANK YOU!). It was a really special and memorable evening for me.

I went down to the May fair bar last night with my partner just to have a couple of drinks before dinner , and i have to say that from the moment we arrived until we left everything was spot on ! The welcoming atmosphere , knowledgeable and friendly bartenders and impeccable service was only second to the quality of their house cocktails . Especially the Valentine's special , kindly proposed to us as couple even if it no longer was on the menu . Big round of applause to everyone that assisted us last night , your passion made our evening !

Popped in to the Mayfair Bar for some drinks and nibbles and was blown away by the cocktail menu. Each drink is inspired by a different destination, with its own delicious set of flavours and speciality ingredients. There was also some fun mixology magic sprinkled throughout (like the Exuberance which features mango clarified using a centrifuge, and the Olive - a spin on a dirty martini which has a sphere of olive juice for a little surprise moment when you get to the bottom of your glass. We also had some amazing bar nibbles, including lobster brioche, calamari with gorgonzola and coconut shrimp in a Malabar sauce - the perfect palate-pleasers. What made the experience extra special was the staff. From head bartender Alessandro who magicked up the aforementioned cocktail artistry, to Lollo whose table service wasn’t just attentive but always accompanied by a smile. We even had the pleasure of meeting the General Manager, Luca, who was charismatic and charming - making sure we always felt looked after and keeping the energy in the bar at the perfect level.

Exemplary food - the yellowtail sashimi and lobster being particular highlights - as always. Very attentive staff who create a pleasant and amiable atmosphere for convivial conversation.

Dreadful from start to finish. The tables are packed in so it feels like you are having dinner with the other guests and everyone can hear each others conversations word for word. There isn't even enough space for the waiters to put the food down so they are knocking into you. The service was appalling - the worst I have ever had in an establishment of this kind and we eat in the area often. We had the valentines set menu and my partner wanted a soft drink rather than the alcohol that came with the menu (he doesn't drink). He was unable to swap this out and I didn't want the rose champagne I just wanted normal champagne but they couldn't do this either. At £200 a head I would expect them to be more accommodating, particularly if someone can't have alcohol. The lady was rude and should not be in the hospitality sector - all their staff need training. To top it all off I asked them for my coat at the end of the evening and the lady came back and said they only had my scarf. This was a £1200 Toteme coat that they had misplaced. Eventually they found it. Food was average at best.

A stunning and elegant environment with attentive staff and once inside, unawareness the outside hassle of Londons busy streets. Limited menu had me choosing a chickpea salad with the addition of prawns at an extra £7, which accounted for 3 chunky prawns placed in the salad. My company had the chicken cesar salad, and we ordered paprika fries to accompany the meal. The chickpea salad was sadly swimming in a strong dressing and the meal was inedible other than the prawns. I was asked if I wanted something else and I didn't have the time and so refused and was charged fully. Wine list excellent and food on the expensive side which I didn't really experience. My lunch companion enjoyed their salad so a mixed lunchtime stop.

The bar had a fantastic atmosphere, with a vibrant and welcoming vibe. The staff member Sasa was friendly and attentive, ensuring everyone felt right at home. Overall, a great place to unwind and enjoy a night out.

We ordered the Rose Afternoon tea, it came with a glass of Rose Moet & Chandon champagne, we were offered a second round of sandwiches at no extra cost, the quality of the food was amazing. The customer care was excellent.

The drinks were lovely. However, we experienced a very rude front of house staff member. I mentioned my friend was at the bar, expecting to walk straight in (as I have done at every other bar/restaurant I have been to). The staff member said ‘good for you’ and proceeded to ask the name under the reservation. The cheek is unbelievable. He seemed to think he was working the door at Berghain, not an upscale Mayfair hotel. I was utterly unimpressed. Shame as this is otherwise a really nice bar and the bar staff are really friendly. Unfortunately I had a similar experience with the spa staff here recently. Not sure what’s wrong with the hotel, the placed rental Ferraris that are outside year round are a bad sign : there’s something off about the whole thing.

Visited Mayfair Kitchen for a delayed Friendsmas dinner. The food was really nice and great value for money. The ambiance was really nice as was the service.

Very nice food experience and excellent service but no music for a New Year’s Eve at midnight !!!! Very disappointed

Even though the system did mess up our reservation, the staff was very friendly and organized a table for us (4 people) within a few minutes. Also the Afternoon Tea was totally great, and the unlimited tea and sandwiches totally justify the price - if you leave hungry it's your own fault, at least we did not need dinner anymore. They even proactively asked for all types of allergies and provided corresponding replacements, what is a huge plus. The same applies for vegetarian options. The only thing that one could critisize (on a high level) was the music volume - anyway, after asking for the third time they finally turned it down, so just be nice but persistent ;) So we can recommend 100%, we really enjoyed it, and the staff was really more than friendly.

Just what we needed always amazing

I’ve been coming to the Mayfair Kitchen for a few years and have always enjoyed the food and ambience. Service was very attentive and the restaurant was not crowded, meaning we could enjoy our conversation without having to raise our voices. Afterwards we went to the bar in the Mayfair Hotel which was also a very pleasant experience. Recommended!

The food was incredible! The service not terribly attentive until we spoke up…then much much more attentive! Ambiance lovely… a bit noisy but fairly crowded as it was Christmas night and you could feel the joy. Overall…. Pretty good I’d say!

Very disappointed. We paid 155 GBP per person for the Christmas Day 5 course menu and expected great service. Our waiter sat us down and ignored us for 25 min. He walked by us many times only focused on another table. After 25 min I had to ask if we can order a drink. The waiter never came back and other people brought our courses and removed them but no one ever asked us how things were. After we were done we waited again for long time watching other tables being brought their bill that sat down after us. I finally had to ask a woman if we could have our bill to check out. This was not service expected at a 5 star hotel and for the price of the menu.

Excellent concept le partage des plats japonais et italiens. Le service a été parfait au départ puis inexistant à la fin , c’est bien dommage pour ce prix!

Lovely bar with amazing drinks. Their current world-traveller theme really encapsulates the essence of the locations they are recreating. The bartenders are all amazing, in particular Charlie who brought the drinks to life by passionately telling their story and what each of the ingredients brought to the drink. His skill and enthusiasm really made the mayfair bar a special place for an anniversary date!

Lovely service and delicious food. The afternoon tea met my expectations.

I came to The May Fair Bar today with my family to celebrate my 23rd birthday, expecting a fun and wholesome evening. What we got instead was an absolute disgrace. We were dressed smart casual, ready to enjoy some cocktails and make the day special. After placing our order and waiting for what felt like ages, we were told, in no uncertain terms, that we had to leave because a bigger party was coming. Are you serious? On my birthday? We didn’t even receive our drinks, and the staff’s attitude was appalling—dirty looks the whole time, making us feel completely out of place. This was supposed to be a special day, and instead, I left feeling humiliated, unwelcome, and like we didn’t matter at all. The way we were treated was beyond disrespectful, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. We definitely won’t be coming back.

Menu limited and portions not adequate for simple dishes. Overall the food was good and the deserts were very impressive

I’ve been to many bars, but Sasha at the Mayfair Bar stands out as one of the best hosts I’ve ever encountered. He is incredibly courteous, always going above and beyond to ensure that I have a fantastic experience every time I visit. Sasha is great at organizing bookings and making sure everything runs smoothly. His attention to detail and commitment to exceptional customer service make each visit feel special. He also has an excellent knowledge of cocktails and always gives great recommendations based on what I’m in the mood for. I always look forward to my time at the Mayfair Bar, thanks to Sasha!

Lovely hotel in a very busy bit. Not a place to try to drive to as there is little parking, pollution charges. Taxi, Underground good to go. Black Taxi a bit more expensive than Uber but Uber drivers have to Pay £50 for entering the City centre so to be fair use black cabs. Either that or book the same Uber driver in and out to help cover the additional cost. All you would expect in the hotel and bar as you would expect for this high-level establishment.

Really bad service and mediocre food. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place.

Bit disappointing with the food, menu had lamb cutlets on it so I ordered them, they arrived and it was just lamb cutlets, no mash no veg??? Not even the option, same for wife, quite poor if you want my opinion.

Very attentive start from the moment you walk in. I'd visit again just for that outstanding service. The tea based mocktail was also a stand - out. I didn't have food this time around but I will certainly be back.

Horrendously rude service received from a consistently unpleasant person. We had no issues gaining entry but the bouncers were particularly choosey as to who they let in to the very empty soulless bar. The icing on the cake was there was only one lager available and it was served at room temperature albeit in a very fetching glass bottle. Beyond me why people would want to go there.

Food was good. Nice decor. Busy enough and had a nice feeling to it. Very inexperienced waiter didn’t really have a clue. Had to ask for the set menu - they clearly make it hard to access. This just annoys me - don’t have one then! But when we did get it the set offers good value & the food was good. Just don’t make me feel like a leper asking for the set menu please.

Service is not 5 star. I can copy and paste this comment in many London luxury hotels. No wonder younger people do not really care for these places as before.

Attractive but noisy restaurant. Menu was a confusing “small plates” menu — some items are full portions, some very small and hard to tell which is which. The edamame, the carpaccio and the pizza were great. The tacos and the gnocchi were ok. The shrimp tempura was wrapped in shredded phyllo? The rib eye was excellent— but we waited a half hour for it after we had finished all the other plates. That’s the reason for the poor service review— the servers were very apologetic and nice.

Excellent service, but extremely poor value.Two tiny overcooked pieces of black cod for £48. and everything else presented in 3 portions (how do you expect 4 people to share that. Been to Mayfair Kitchen many times, but you won’t be seeing me again.

Nice afternoon spent here. What was outstanding was the service, nothing was too much trouble and a lovely Birthday treat at the end.

The afternoon tea was delicious! And they catered to our guest’s gluten free dairy free allergies. The staff were So wonderful and made it a great experience for our baby too. Loved afternoon tea here, will definitely be back.

Excellent evening all round. We had the taster menu which included a carafe of sake. Each dish was delicious and well paced. Good atmosphere nice and quiet. Staff were attentive and explained each dish.

Horrible experience. Waitresses are rude, combative and I will never return. I was told when seated that they were offering food. Then when I tried to order, I was refused after already ordering drinks. When I tried to leave, I was told I have to pay for the drinks. Another waitress, I think the manager, came over and told us that we in fact could order food... I sat back down and no one came to take a food order. After 30 minutes from start to finish, without being able to order food, we just gave up and left, £11.50 later for two cokes that we only ordered to enjoy with the food. It's Mayfair... the tone of both waiting staff was argumentative, rude and not acceptable. Disappointing waste of money.

Wonderful venue with truly excellent service, exemplary cocktails and fantastic food. Only downside? The peculiar lack of bottled water. Presumably a recent change made by a central procurement team out of touch with reality.

Last night I went to this club with my fiance,it was our engagement celebration.We wanted to have few drinks at nearby our hotel ,as we were staying in double tree hilton hotel Kensington . The Arab security men didn't let us in ,they said we can't go in as we weren't staying in the hotel. I told my partner we step a side to see if they will let other people in.Few minutes later a group of people were let in ,they weren't staying in the hotel. I was discriminated because of my skin colour.I was denied to go in because I am a black woman.We went back to our Hotel my fiance decided to go back with his 2 white male coligues.They didn't recognise him and they did let them in.He immediately questioned them why they didn't let us in earlier,and why they discriminated his black woman ,but they completely ignored him.My fiancy videoed the whole situation.I was surprised to experience racism in London. I thought London was the most diverse City in Europe. I am not going to London night club again due to racism.

We loved the omakase food tasing experience. Only one item missed the mark. We recommend taking out the chicken from this tasting experience as it was too salty and had too much cartilage that we had to spit out. This is why we rated a 4 and not 5. The service however, was impeccable.

Rude bouncers at the door even though the place was nearly empty. The crowd was about 80pct men and some very poorly dressed people. Clearly there is no standards in that place anymore. I would avoid.

A delicious and satisfying experience. Service was impeccable and the food was delicious. The ambiance was nice as well. My only complaint is that the music was too loud given the size and space and how many people were there.

Incredibly tasty dishes , with very powerful flavours for the Japanese section of the menu … tuna ribbons,scallops and black pepper aubergine … Even the version of the margarita cocktail had incredible zing …Not for the faint palated ! the Zen ambience was beautiful and tasteful and the vibes played by the live young woman dj matched the setting perfectly… many thanks indeed to the very friendly and pleasant waitress Jaroslava also

Perfect place to plan the night ahead

Left standing on arrival 4 team members ignored us. I asked where the bathrooms were waitress pointed to a door didn’t explain I had to go into hotel and up the stairs. Waitress dismissive and unfriendly .Priced based on service was shocking, real shame as the food was delicious.

Went to the restaurant on my birthday last week and planned on ending the night at the bat, but the Arab Bouncer at the bar was TOTALLY RACIST and discriminated against us. He turned us down from entering because of our race(he turned us down through, despite his colleague from the restaurant taking us across and asking him to allow us in). Then he let a certain race enter and many as that. His ignorance meant he turned away black females with BA Hons and PhD. Shame on you! now I know what the American visitors meant by you having to be a certain hierarchy to get in the bar.

Made a booking for the bespoke dining experience for 2 people through this app, all was confirmed and when we arrived to the table one of the most rude waiters informed us it’s actually only available for groups. He was the least helpful person who clearly just hates his job. So after waiting about 20 mins to even order a drink I finally got his attention to, he then insisted we order a la carte which I hesitantly did. Once the food start arriving to the very small table there was no space so I asked if it would be possible to move to one of the THREE larger tables right in front of us that were free he then told us oh I’ll just bring your food after you finish this dish so there was no option for us to try everything together, he was the least helpful person and it really ruined the vibe of the night. We spent a lot more than we should have and the food wasn’t the best if I’m being honest. Very poor service I would highly recommend hiring people who have personal skills and are not rude.

As we indulged in our meal, it became evident that the restaurant not only excelled in service but also in the quality of its cuisine. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavour and artfully presented. From the appetisers to the desserts, every bite was a symphony of taste sensations. The ambiance of the restaurant further contributed to the overall dining experience. The décor was elegant yet inviting, creating a relaxed and intimate atmosphere perfect for enjoying a memorable meal. The attention to detail in every aspect of the restaurant's design did not go unnoticed.

Last night in London, this experience of flavour, service and quality just made my personal list of top 3 restaurants ever! Just wow. Our talented waiter from Italy, Bartender from Greece and the asst GM Patrik delivered an experience of absolute genuine passion.
