Usually come for drinks but this time had food as well! The team are always very friendly and it’s nice that you can bring in your dog! Good selection of wines and friendly service keeps me coming back !

Visited this pub the other day The service was exceptional and our server Hannah was very helpful as we needed gluten free option. Food came out fast and was delicious. We highly recommend this pub

Traditional English pub with fine beer and a good choice of hamburgers. I noticed with great joy that there was also the possibility to have a very fine vegan burger, which I much enjoyed! I warmly recommend to have a lunch or a dinner here in this beautiful pub in an amazing London district!

Rude, arrogant bar staff who treat you with open contempt. No greeting, no basic decency - just blank stares until you order, even then, silence. When called out on their behaviour, they doubled down with smug indifference. No drink is worth being treated like dirt. Walked out. Noone should feel how they made us feel — disrespected and unwelcome. Plenty of good pubs in NW London. This isn’t one of them.

Tasty, noisy, almost all visitors are local - this is a sign of quality. I recommend it to those who want to see the real England. Guinness beer was simply incredibly tasty.

The Pub in the area. Classy, low key, hugely busy on cricket days and oddly - on weekends. Lagers and crafts on tap by the most charming and creative (though very professional - never say an improperly drunken person on her watch ;~) Sofia, who truly owns the bar!

After taking the iconic photo of the Beatles on Abbey Road, we stopped by for lunch. We ordered a house burger, The Duke Burger and a Chicken BBQ, of course we ordered Guinness to accompany it. From the attention of the kids, the incredible burgers, to how well the place is decorated, we felt comfortable and well cared for at all times.

A pub very close to Abby Road where they took the photo of the pedestrian crossing for their album, good service, fast, very tasty, very well attended by Hannah.

Absolutely amazing staff, service and food. Definitely recommend the Cider and the wings.

A great spot to unwind and have a few drinks… wether a nice cold beer from their various well stocked taps or any other concoction you fancy. Food is very good standard pub grub served hot and plentiful. Always a nice atmosphere to be had by all!

Great location and decent selection of beers. Ordered the Duke Platter and not really impressed by the selection's quality. Dry wings and chicken stripes. Thumbs up for the cauliflower, but not worth the £20

Drinks only. Great atmosphere. The toilets were filthy especially the back of the toilet door everyone has to touch to return to the pub. Such a shame they don't have the right level of hygiene in place.

fun place. a man came up to me on a wednesday night and said it was the best night of his life in there. it was a good vibe but obviously it was very good for him.

Civilised pub, nice beer, friendly staff and locals. And st John's wood is a pleasant part of the world. What's not to like?!

Sunday night food... everything was available and 2 of the Roasts, the Chicken & Lamb and were both excellent with gravy and yorkies and plenty of meat and veg'. Service was friendly and prompt. It was noisy, with people enjoying themselves, but, that's not entirely a bad thing. Prices were good for the quality and quantity of food.

It’s not often that you find a pub who’s staff is witty, friendly, and knowledgeable about the amazing cocktails and drinks they serve. It’s also important to note that the general atmosphere here is sophisticated, warm, and friendly. Highly recommend!

Popular pub with friendly bar staff, a bit noisy, a bit trendy. Not a traditional boozer but good to meet friends or have a quick pint

Lovely afternoon/evening spent yesterday. Four of us. Good food, decent prices. Would defo recommend. Staff were all efficient & welcoming. POPPY was exceptionally attentive. Will happily pop in if I’m in the area again. Thumbs up..!!!👍👍

Old fashioned pub experience with good wholesome food and drinks. Well worth a visit outside of the more expensive eateries.

Nice atmosphere, one of my favourite pub. The food is deliscious and friendly place.

Great little pub, good food, polite and friendly staff.

It’s been approximately 1y since my partner and I come regularly to our neighborhood pub. Crowd is mixed but mostly educated, polite and local. Vibe is cool, relaxed and makes you feel at ease. Cricket enthusiasts can gather around after matches at Lord’s but apart from that quite peaceful. Both during Winter for a casual evening drink, or during Summer for a late afternoon beer after work, staff is friendly and tries to accommodate your food orders till 8/8:30pm. Special highlight to Sofia and Dale, both incredibly friendly and always accommodating your requests, with a smile on their face, talking to you, remembering you if you become a regular. Great customer service, and so much fun! Definitely a must-go if you are in the area, for some nice beer, gin or whiskey, as well as tasty pub food!

Racist establishment (I guess the inclusion flag outside is meant to be ironic). A staff member at the pub became very hostile to me and my friends and harassed us when we were looking for a seat. She wears a nose ring and when we told her we know and we're just looking for a seat she said she works here with a very threatening stare. She picked on us of all people. There were tonnes of people standing around...she then followed us out as well and kept staring and sneering at us and pointing at us while speaking to other people till we left. There was no need for such uncivilised and hostile treatment. We stood in front of the screen while looking for seats for 4 minutes at worst and the game wasn't even on and we left after 10 minutes of her attacks. Apparently we couldn't stand while looking for a decent place to sit while she reserved seats. Tried to pull away some seats 10 meters from her and she said we can't sit there either apparently (nobody was waiting on them)

Nice pub near St John’s Wood underground station, and just round the corner from Lords cricket ground. The bar staff and locals seem friendly enough. Didn’t sit inside, but was pleasant enough sitting outside having a few beers. The pub was busy inside with people eating their evening meal, so I guess the food is of a good standard, even though I didn’t try it out myself this time.

Staff too engrossed in each other and their phone apps to be bothered about the customers. Ordered a steak and wanted a Merlot - no Merlot. Ordered a cheesecake with ice cream - no ice cream. No one asked if everything was alright. No one asked if I wanted a dessert. Coffee was undrinkable so I left it. Apart from that it was ok.

Very busy on match days but a lovely pub nonetheless

A pub that I used to frequent almost 30 years ago. The interior is beautiful and there are tables where it is easy to eat. This is a pub where you can't go wrong with the quality of the food. There are many locals here, so you can enjoy the local taste of London.

Reasonable pub for a little knock before a visit to Lords. Bar staff were very prompt but a bit shouty. Not one for a morning head. St John's Wood prices, obvs.

This is a lovely pub with the coolest people working there. Prices are good. Food is yummy, those Hallumi fríes are espectacular. The vibe is nice, the neighbourhood is amazing.

C'est une chaine de restaurant, l'ambiance est correcte, mais la bouffe pas terrible. Ma femme a pris une salade de burrata qui étais presque congelé a son arrivée a la table, moi un combo crevette fish and chip. Frite molle et sans saveur, poisson et crevette bien ordinaire. pour le prix j'aurais du aller un hamburger! Peut-etre que le bar est intéressant mais oublier la bouffe

Really nice pub. Would have given a higher rating if we hadn’t had to raise our voices over the loud music to hear each other’s conversations. It could go from being a really good pub to a fabulous pub if they just turned it down 15%.

Outstanding !!!! Had what I believe to be the best Streak & Ale Pie in all of my 7 visits to London. Not only was the grub outstanding, the service and ambiance also !!!

Upon arrival was greeted with a smile by the bar staff on shift. Group of friendly, talkative staff which are helpful when you come to them with a question about facilities in the establishment . Very clean and organised. Food was great , portions are very filling. Would recommend !!

Great spot right around the corner from Abbey Rd., Studios. My wife and I had lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Great, classic pub outside of London.

A bit pricy for food, but when enjoying a pint I wouldn't choose another place!

St John's Wood has its charms, and most of them are expensive. So, don't expect a cheapo experience at the Duke of York, but do expect thoroughly enjoyable food and drink in a relaxed and civilised atmosphere. Quick note: Some of the real ales are a bit obscure, but staff always offer a taste before you decide on your pint.

Friendly pub in St John's Wood. Serves a decent pint of Guinness. Stopped serving at 10 pm on Tuesday evening due to some issue, so we had to forgo our final pint! We shall return.

Clean, cosy pub and quick service

Good place to grab a drink (though I'd recommend a pint or one of their mocktails) after work or just in a random afternoon/evening. The staff were friendly and quick to answer any questions. The place was moderately busy when we arrived (around 5p) with minimal indoor seats available, and if anything seemed busier even we left 2 hours later after food and drinks.

Good pint prices for 2023! Fab service and really respected the server who ran down the road to give me the bag I’d left there! Thank you so much!!

Can't remember the last time I had such unfriendly service, bordering on rude, when ordering a drink from the guy at the bar. "Hi, how are you?" Grumpy look, nothing said. No "What can I get you?" or anything similar. "Looks like summer's over (it was cold and raining)." Sullen look, maybe like I was speaking a foreign language. Ordered a pint. "Six twenty-five (or whatever it was)." "Sorry?" (Expecting a repeat but with "please" at the end.) Grumpier look. "Six twenty-five." Finished my drink and went somewhere else.

What a lovely place! Delicious domestic food and the best service ever from Sofia.

Location is decent with good standing space outside the pub during nice weather. Pricey at over £7 a pint for most draughts.

Good experience, excellent service and good pub food. We all had fish & chips which was enjoyable. Service- have to say that it was outstanding- thank you.

The price for the product is criminal. I paid £21 for a tepid roast which consisted of one carrot, some uncooked sprouts, some quite nice potatoes and an overdone Yorkshire pudding. Extra veggies were £6 on top of that. My cousin paid for pigs in blankets and received four disgusting cocktail sausages wrapped in bacon for £6. The waitress didn’t know the beer menu which is poor considering the choice is small. The place has a decent following and was relatively busy so for some it clearly ticks the boxes. But not for me. I’m still shocked by the cost. Also they add in a service charge which really annoys me. I’m a good tipper! Don’t assume I won’t tip! If you insist on adding on a shameful hidden cost then just do it up front and add it to the price on the menu! A very poor pub.

We met here for a drink before heading out for a meal. The pub was quiet which was good for us. I had ginger beer but my friends had lager and bitter. We came back early evening but it was so busy that we didn't stay.

Popped in for a drink on our way to the cricket, 6 pints, £42, I assume they don't charge £7 a pint every day, but won't visit again.
