Quite sad that one rude staff could ruin the whole experience, the waiter kept insisting that the food will take an hour to prepare. How can a salad take an hour to prepare? Very snobby with his comments and attitude.. we ended up not trying anything on the menu because of his provocative attitude.

This is a true dining experience! The Connaught reserved a corner banquet table which had lovely pillows and fabrics. Dining room was magical with a spectacular art collection. Hostess and server -very professional. We opted for the Beef Wellington for 2. Wow ! Seemed like a small portion at first but once we started devouring it , the richness and tenderness made the portion size completely right. The wine list is superb as well. This restaurant is appealing to all the senses- sight, hearing, taste, smell!

We had an amazing night out and Betty took great care of us! The toasted old fashioned was delightful as was the wine, we opted for a silky Bordeaux. We adored the celebratory Beef Wellington for two, perfectly cooked and the banana soufflé was a delightful airy finish, adorned with caramel sauce and ice cream-wow! The art collection, food, ambience, and service are stellar here! Thank you Betty and the whole team for a memorable experience! What a delight!

A Culinary Gem: Mount Street Restraunt is a hidden gem in the heart of London. The ambiance is elegant and inviting, perfect for a special occasion. The food, however, is the real star of the show. I had the pleasure of trying the beef Wellington, and it was simply exquisite. The pastry was flaky and buttery, the mushrooms were rich and flavorful, and the beef was cooked to perfection. It was a truly unforgettable dining experience. I enjoyed the Eton Mess Negroni which was a highlight to the overall experience. If you're looking for a fine dining experience in London, I highly recommend Mount Street Restraunt.

We came here to try the famous lobster pie and weren't disappointed. In fact every element of our meal was superbly crafted, from my "strawberries and cream" seabass starter down to the cherry kirsch sponge dessert. And obviously, the showstopper pie, was perfectly cooked and presented. The pastry was buttery and flaky without being dry, and the filling was quite generously portioned with chunks of fresh lobster. It comes with some delicious veg (broad beans, cavolo nero) but we also got some mash on the side which was buttery and smooth. It was perfectly accompanied by a lovely bottle of Chardonnay. The service was attentive and the environment with its dim lighting and artworks was second to none. A real treat.

fantastic dining spot! Everything exceeded our expectations. We were pleasantly surprised by the lively atmosphere (good crowd)—something you don’t often find in Mayfair. The food was exceptional; the lobster pie was a standout, and the banana soufflé became my instant favorite. Aesthetically, the restaurant is incredibly chic, with its impressive artwork and creative interior design. Oh, and The service! You definitely feel welcomed as staff is super attentive. Welcome from the senior staff member was a tad snotty, guy on the front door and our waiter were very nice. Loved the art work and floor. Food was decidely average at best - I would not recommend the beef tartare (I requested no egg yolk - it arrived as requested (fine) completely garnish free - quite uninspiring and beef was tasteless, toast waa greasy.. The monkfish dish was not great - I was playing find the potato - finally found four or five tiny balls hiding in the sauce. The sauce was not well balanced. For the price I was expecting something amazing. I have eaten much better for much less and don't think I would return.

Upstairs at this restaurant is simply stunning, filled with an artistic atmosphere. Surrounded by world-famous paintings, the ambiance is extremely comfortable. Highly recommend for art and food lovers! 🍃 Located on Mount Street in Mayfair, this restaurant, owned by a gallery owner, features works by Matisse, Picasso, Philip Guston, George Condo, and more. You’ll be amazed by the art and the delicious British cuisine. 🙌 Every dish is a delight! The bread with butter and chicken liver pâté is a must-try, as well as the London butter lettuce salad with blue cheese, pear, and candied walnuts. The beef tartare is one of the best in London, and the Dressed Portland crab salad is a summer specialty. 🥰 Desserts are French-inspired with British names, like the classic Eton Mess turned into a cake mousse – not too sweet, just perfect! 🫶 Definitely a spot I can‘t wait to revisit!

Service was wonderful, staff were all very welcoming and polite. Bread and butter was served on the house. Ordered the signature lobster pie and was not disappointed, pastry was thin and lobster meat was generous. It’s very filling for just two people actually. Would probably be perfect sharing amongst three and having some other sides or small plates. Had a crab salad which was on the pricier side for its size (of a palm). Overall great central location and atmosphere for a business lunch.

It looked like the room and the guests are just filled with a lot of ego. For us as tourists, it wasn’t a place to feel welcome. We came because of the raving reviews, but got very disappointed. I had the full English, I knew they would have great black pudding - I was surprised by the addition of baked beans (I'm not a fan) but it was really good. Two points: 1/ They do not offer croissants only toast, which is strange as they own the farm shop opposite; when I popped in there after breakfast they had a basket full of croissants ! 2/ They do not allow dogs - which is a shame as so many good places do these days (Maison Francois, Wolseley, George etc). We'll be back soon.

We had an excellent dinner last night, notable points: the ambience is very elegant, with all the wonderful pieces of art but very relaxed. The cocktails taste great. The wine list is very pricey. The food was delivered to perfection. We picked salads for starters (wonderful taste!) just to have room for the beef Wellington that came perfectly executed and the velvety mash that is a dream. Extra note, as I mentioned that we are celebrating a special occasion during my reservation -being early valentine’s dinner- they asked us what the celebration was about during dessert and presented us with a lovely chocolate cake. The service is outstanding in all aspects and I would recommend to anyone looking for a good English menu in London

Stefania my contact at the restaurant was very professional which made specific arrangements easy to organise (I got a tour around the restaurant prior to the night I booked). The ambience and service is excellent and all my guests thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The food was tasty but I wouldn't call it exceptional- that's not saying it was bad in any way. I'd recommend ordering more side dishes, they were quite small and 6 between 12 was barely enough. The Beef Wellington was beautifully rare and the Butter Lettuce salad was incredibly tasty. To get the rooms you will need to spend a minimum of £1500 which is not difficult. Deposit is that amount prior to event. I think this is a cashless restaurant too.

A newish addition to the neighbourhood. I question if it is a restaurant or more of a canteen. Not been previously because friend of mine didn’t like. The food is very good with wonderful sauces and delightful whipped pots of dressing and dips. I had the crab with fresh lettuce. Then the lobster pie and apple crumble soufflé. The pudding was the best. Flavours divine. The crab light and fresh. The pie an interesting idea - I love pie at the Holborn dining rooms and lobster is a firm favourite (I visit the usa a lot) but lobster pie? The pastry was delicious, the lobster divine. Do they go together? I don’t think so. However virtually every table was ordering it. (They do have beef wellington - but my companion didn’t eat beef - shame!) I found the restaurant noisy - one table of 8 was laughing loudly - it got better when the room filled up more. I hear breakfast and lunch are very good so perhaps those are the better time options.

On arrival for a 9.45 am reservation, we were told that the building would be evacuated for a fire test and we would have to leave by 10.30 a.m. The food was good but we had to eat it in a rush and that gave us indigestion. We then wanted ‘comfort stops’ – but the alarm went off at 10.20 a.m. What we had planned to be a leisurely start to an important day was ruined. We mentioned an awful experience at The Audley (the pub below the restaurant) and were assured that the Operations Manager would contact us. After five days, the silence has been deafening. Was absolutely blown away by the food, service, and the art! If you are an art enthusiast of any kind, you should come not only for their cleanly cooked bream and modern take on a beet salad, but their extensive collection of paintings and drawings courtesy of Hauser & Wirth (a blue chip gallery). The Art: The Paris-based interior design is full of fun facts, from repeating wallpaper printed with a Paul McCarthy statue to the hand-collaged Phyllida Barlow ceiling installed next door at The Audrey Bar (owned by the same people). You will find Fontana, Freud, and Hodler on the walls among many other well curated picks! Everything else: the food is clean, well portioned, and flavorful with Parisian influences. They accommodated gluten, dairy, and nut allergies for our group with no problem, and our server took the time to explain some of the art collection to us despite it being a busy Friday night. Thank you for a lovely, lovely experience!

Howeverrrr We arrived for a Saturday morning breakfast before a wedding and the atmosphere was really flat. There were only 2 other tables but granted it was 10.30am. The food was way to slow given there was no one there. I wouldn't mind if it was busy. And the vibe from the waiters (despite being very professional) was so serious and stuffy for a Saturday morning, it felt a bit down beat. Truly disappointing, I'm not usually the type to go to a place with such a price tag but I am a chef and would like to own a gallery one day so had to try it. The food was okay, extremely salty, clearly high effort but unfortunately not the most enjoyable eating experience. Ridiculously overpriced and I felt a bit bombarded by the staff who were rushed and misunderstood multiple things I asked/said. Unfortunately this ended up costing me £40 (as I misunderstood the price of a menu item because and it was so overpriced) and I also asked to donate more to the charity and reduce the service tip (which is automatically added to the bill, not my favourite) but another misunderstanding meant they cancelled the tip altogether, which I bet made none of us feel great. I'm sure the produce is amazing, but the art is absolutely the only reason to come here so if you don't really care about food I guess I'd recommend? There are literally a thousand better restaurants in London that I'd recommend first though (then just go to the Tate).

Food and venue were fantastic but was let down by the service. Only 4 couples were also having breakfast in the restaurant but for some reason they put us on the worst table right next to the bar/coffee machine. We asked to be seated at a better table which luckily we could. Food was absolutely tremendous! I was still eating my toast while the waiter started clearing the plates. While she had the plates stacked in her hands, asked us if we still wanted to finish the beans - we said no because without cutlery and plates that would have been quite difficult. Then the bill was directly handed to my partner eventhough I had reserved the table and I was paying. On the reservation I also marked that it was a celebration but nobody mentioned anything. I felt for a £75 breakfast (2 mains, 2 coffees and some water), I would have liked the service to match.

Was really looking forward to trying this restaurant as had read many positive reviews, and was totally let down. My husband ordered a nice £30 glass of Gevrey-Chambertin and they didn’t show the bottle, it came room temperature in the wrong glass, and it had clearly been open for too long. We were shocked that such a fancy restaurant in Mayfair didn’t know how to serve wine properly. It’s a shame because the wine list is quite good (they must have a good supplier), but they clearly have no clue what they’re doing. To make matters worse, I ordered a risotto which came with Baron Bigod which is a mould ripened cheese. I cannot eat mould ripened cheese as I am pregnant and there is risk of listeria. I informed them of this and they assured me that they’d replace it with another cheese. When the dish came, it clearly had mould-ripened cheese rinds in it, and they told me “this cheese is fine for pregnancy”. They didn’t bother to ask me before serving it to me. I gave it back and they brought me another one with a different cheese. But the rice was crunchy - the risotto was so clearly undercooked. I could only eat half of it. The service was strange - they were quite dismissive of our complaints and clearly felt like our complaints were unreasonable. Again, not the service you expect from a nice establishment that charges the prices this place charges.

The restaurant is well-presented and comfortable. The staff were attentive and friendly. The menu choice was excellent and varied and we all enjoyed our meals. The table was also big enough for 6 of us and not cramped. Having to use the toilets in the downstairs busy pub was not great.

Excellent food and an astonishing collection of art in the dining room. A truly unique experience eating lunch while looking at Matisse and Lucien Freud originals. A unique experience.

I loved every bit of experience that this place offered, however, rest of the day was ruined by the admin lady that worked there on 04.08., she disrespected me and my guest and made us feel uncomfortable. Nevertheless, exquisite food and beautiful interior.

Delicious beef wellington. Excellent cocktails. Tables are very long so feels less intimate but beautiful interior. Would recommend a visit!

The salon is lovely. The food was overcooked and the staff only smiled to one another. Whilst they well reacted to my critique on the overcooked food, it was disappointing!

My daughter kindly treated me to a very special Father's Day lunch and it was splendid from beginning to end. The dining room is very special with its world-class art and the furniture and tables look great. The first thing I noticed was the very high quality of service from the moment we walked in. Rais waited at our table and he was above excellent - knowledgeable - efficient - courteous - skilled all in one. I started with a house cocktail the South Audley Spritz which was very good. The amuse-bouche was chicken liver parfait - very fine and creamy. My first course was Omelette Arnold Bennet which was nicely presented in a mini omelette pan, but it seemed to be made with salmon when this classic normally has smoked haddock. There was no evidence of Bechamel sauce, but anyway, it was good and tasty. For my main, I had a small portion of Steak Tartare which did include the essential egg yolk but lacked the traditional cornichon, capers and shallot. This was disappointing. The wines that Rais suggested and served were delightful. For pudding, I enjoyed the Pimms Sorbet which I very much enjoyed but it didn't really taste of Pimms. These minor foodie points do not detract from the fact that we had a great lunch with outstanding service.

I visited this restaurant on a Saturday at lunchtime with my father to celebrate a special occasion. It was pricey but not overpriced. The service and attention to detail were exceptional. The food was terrific - I had fresh scallops (far, far better than I recently had at another just opened Covent Garden restaurant) and a stunning beautiful and very tasty salad of Stilton, pear and walnut. I was glad to see they had some English sparkling wine on the drinks menu and very much enjoyed my glass or Rathfinny. My father had the eggs Arnold Bennett and beef tartare, both of which were fabulous. He enjoyed a cocktail and a glass of both red and white having had a friendly chat with the kind and helpful waiter regarding the choices. Rais was our waiter. I don't know which was more impressive, Rais, the fine art or exquisite food. I'd say Rais but George Condo was a close second. I can't wait for the Philip Guston exhibition at Tate Modern this autumn now. The service (Rais and all the others we spoke with) is what made this a very, very special experience for us.

Very little song selections. Several songs would “break” the system and the mics broke twice.

We popped in to make some enquires regarding coming for a pre Christmas lunch, the staff were so welcoming & very helpful with our request.. One of the ladies at reception showed us the restaurant which looked lovely...we came back a bit later to have a drink in the bar, which was lovely, bar staff were polite & equally welcoming. Looking forward to returning soon.
