Insaf waa our server today and he took great care of us and was very friendly! we had the veg biryani and kids pasta and it was amazing! Would definately come back here!

I recently had the misfortune of dining at The Soak, and it was an incredibly disappointing experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, we ordered water, and after requesting ice separately, we discovered a fly in one of the glasses. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, the response was dismissive, with one staff member suggesting that the fly could have fallen from above us. Needless to say, it was not the response we expected in such a situation. We also ordered four separate meals, and sadly, two of them were not up to standard. The food didn’t live up to expectations, but it was the service that really left a sour taste. To make matters worse, when it came time to pay, we faced issues due to Nationwide banking being down, which was affecting customers nationwide. After multiple attempts to pay and explaining the situation to the staff, we were met with a complete lack of understanding. Eventually, we were able to settle the payment, but by that point, the poor service and dismissive attitude had completely ruined the experience. Based on this visit, we will not be returning to The Soak. It’s unfortunate, as the restaurant has potential, but the lack of professionalism and poor service has left us with no desire to revisit.

Edmond, and his very professional staff, did an excellent job delivering a great experience, food, and crafted drinks.

We are staying at the hotel, so this was an easy choice. Jeremy was absolutely amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. We would definitely come back when in town

This is my little piece of heaven. I stopped by after work one evening. I did feel a little out of place. However, the staff are amazing, very friendly, and welcoming. I was escorted to the lovely lounge bar by Antonio, the manager, i had a classic margarita, and it was mixed to perfection, in fact it's the best margarita I've had in a long while. I enjoy tequila and started chatting to Antonio about it, who then proceeded to make me a mezcal sour, from scratch. It was a fabulous evening, I've been back again and was treated beautifully, again, with wonderful service and lovely staff. I will be taking my daughter there for birthday cocktails on Friday evening. Update 17/03/25 I took my daughter on Friday 14th March, it was her 20th birthday. Antonio and his amazing team were wonderful. He had put balloons on our table. She was given a lovely piece of cake with a sparkler and a glass of fizz. She was treated to Antonio's 5 star service, along with all the wonderful servers and expert bar tender, to make her evening very special. This is my most favourite place in the whole of London because it doesn't have to be a special occasion for Antonio and his amazing team to make you feel special. 😍❤️

I had a lovely meal at Soak with my girlfriend and family, and I want to give a big thank you to our waiter Deepak. He made sure we had everything we needed, recommended some great dishes, and was happy to help with any special requests. His service was fast, polite, and made our evening even better. It’s not often you find such great service, and we really appreciated it. Deepak, you did a brilliant job thank you! We’ll definitely be coming back to Soak.

Came here this afternoon for cocktails with friends for a birthday party, absolutely loved the atmosphere and the staff was very efficient and friendly! I would definitely recommend this place.

As part of a group having a meal, to start I ordered a cocktail, Long Island Ice Tea - considering it’s mostly alcohol if there was more half a tea spoon of alcohol I’d be amazed. Then I had the half chicken, triple cooked chips amazing, the rest of what was on the plate was as appetising as a dish cloth.

Edmond and Manni are great, polite, and friendly, but Antonio ensured everything was perfect on our multiple visits. Smoked old fashioned was perfect, Godfather made with Blue Label was smooth as silk, wife’s strawberry daiquiris were made to perfection and my daughter enjoyed her Shirley Temple. Food is phenomenal.

Always a fun time at Soak. Mani takes great care of everybody!!

The Clermont Hotel is in London’s Victoria Station. It contains bars and restaurants very handy if you want to be near your train departure or if you’re waiting for someone to arrive. The Soak Bar is where we decided to go. We were looked after so well by the staff. Our table wasn’t near anyone else and we were attentively waited upon. We shared a bottle of wine and some dinner. They have Ping Pong dim sum and it was excellent. The fried chicken balls were the hit of the evening. They play music in the bar, but it isn’t that intrusive. Lively atmosphere and we had a lovely time. When it came time to leave, we went to the Victoria Station exit and caught our trains with time to spare.

Lovely restaurant in The Clermont hotel. Food is always great, fun atmosphere, and the service is always top notch. Mani in particular is exemplary - he really cares about attention to detail.

The food was first class. I had a Soak burger and my wife had a mix of Ping Pong dumplings. The burger was very good but I wish I too had gone for the dumplings. They were scrumptious, ideal for sharing and provided a range of tastes. The service was perfect also. Maini, our server was attentive without being intrusive and was helpful and good humoured. We were in a rush to get to a show and Maini did a great job of moving things along while not neglecting the service. Will visit again.

The food is amazing, we got salmon, beef and fish&chips, my youngest one got mini beef burger and everything taste perfect. We liked the interior and I would like to thank our waiter Mani. He was a professional and very pleasant.

We had dinner at The Soak a couple of times and never got disappointed: the service was on point (special mention to Insaf in particular and his coworkers), the dishes were delicious and we barely finished our plates. A place to go if you are around, even just for a drink.

The decor and atmosphere are amazing. Our server was really good. My steak was over cooked, but my wife's fish and chips came out great. The drinks were very well done, and the dessert was very tasty. I would absolutely recommend this place.

Antonio was an absolute superstar, he was so attentive at our bottomless brunch, our drinks were always full and he always served with a smile. Food was absolutely lovely too. Would definitely recommend.

My mother and I came here as tourists after our day trip returned to the coach station. She had the curry and I had the fish and chips, we both enjoyed our meals. She found the curry to be the right amount of spice, I found the fish to be breaded well and with a light crisp texture (not wet/uncooked batter). The wait staff was phenomenal and answered every question we could have (as travelers it tends to be a lot). Overall great experience!

Service was wonderful , staffs were ever welcoming and polite . I came with my family and friend . The interior and dinning area was superb, all the started and main course were delicious and ofcourse the drink especially cocktail. Overall great location in central london and easy access to train station. All the staff were very good.

Unfortunately, my visit to The Soak was a huge disappointment. The service was absolutely terrible – the waiter was incredibly rude and unprofessional. When they served us soup, it was disgusting. We brought this to the waiter’s attention, and instead of handling the situation politely, he curtly told us, “You have to pay.” While I didn’t mind paying, it was the attitude and lack of respect that was shocking. The rest of the food was mediocre at best – I’d rate it a 3 out of 5. For a restaurant in this price range, I expected much better service, food quality, and professionalism. I will not be returning and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.

An unique fine dining experience.

If you are considering hosting a private event on this venue, be extra careful. They use several tactics that will result in you paying way more than you should. And if you refuse, they are happy to embarass you in front of your guests. Never more.

Were supposed to go for brunch to celebrate our friends birthday and we were refused Bottomless Brunch unless ALL on the table had it. We were a group of 6 people, only 4 of us wanted it and 2 were not drinking and wanted to order from normal menu. They said it was not possible so we offered to split the table as solution and two tabs, and they still would not let us so we had no other choice than to leave. Really disappointed, terrible management and service.

Excellent value for money regarding the menu. Lovely venue, comfortable and spacious. Best aspect though is the superb service. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Cannot recommend enough. Didn't want to leave!

We had dinner here just before Christmas and will definitely return. There's not doubt it was a wee bit hectic in the run-up to the holidays but the food was tasty and reasonably priced for the location and the staff, whilst a bit up against it with the Christmas crowds, did a good job and the atmosphere was lovely. It's quite loud in there, the acoustics see to that, but that only adds to the great atmosphere. I don't drink but I hear the cocktails are great!

Met friends here for lunch and what a great venue, close to the station and the theatre. The portions were large and our meals were excellent. Great service and great cocktails. Even popped back in for a post theatre cocktail!

The worst meal I have ever had and such a shame as the surroundings and hotel (we’re guests) are lovely. Waiters had no idea about gluten free menu. Edamame beans had to be sent back as cold, stringy and tasteless. Chicken was like boiled fat. Absolutely disgusting

We were served really well by Roy and Antonio. Both were amazing. Food, and atmosphere was spot on ! A perfect night out with the mrs.

Lovely place in the heart of London, when I get a train cancelled is my place to seat and enjoy. Service is good, the drink are serve and made with passion. I have not dine in here but the nachos were excellent. The decoration is so lovely.

Excellent bar and superb design! To get in and get a table, you have to insist. A very nice cocktail menu and a great music atmosphere! Attentive staff and very reasonable price. Spaces for children suitable even for families. A very nice address in the center of London, a really good bar. We highly recommend.

Food was good, but the service was not. The server was very clearly distracted while taking our order and not paying attention, so to no surprise we got the wrong dish. I mentioned to the kitchen crew member who brought out the dish, but he didn't speak any english nor knew how to rectify the situation. When I finally flagged down the server and told him I ordered a different dish, rather than being apologetic, the server made it seem like I changed my mind and wanted something different. I said no I don't want something different, I want what I ordered. The manager came by our table to explain that we can keep the wrong dish, but it’s going to take a while to get the other dish. They were trying to convince me to just keep the wrong dish. Unbelievable! I would not return until (if) there are better servers…

Loved the grilled salmon on mashed potatoes. Veg pasta and greek salad was also good. Belgian chocolate mouse with raspberry coulis and sorbet was delightful.

Where to begin as I'm torn on this place!.so I'll start with the positives... Location is excellent.. literally a stones throw from the apollo theatre, coach station and Victoria tube... The restaurant inside is absolutely stunning! Gorgeous vibe when we walked in on a Saturday afternoon after the matinée. The tunes were giving off cafe del mar ibiza vibes which was gorgeous there was a classy buzz about the place and the decor is just stunning! Then it went downhill for me... firstly they didn't have our name down even though we had reserved weeks before nonetheless we were swiftly seated in the booths which was very cool by the bar. Even though it was busy, it wasn't rammed packed yet service was excruciatingly slow sadly.. despite us being told to press the buzzer and a waiter/ waitress will arrive.. they didn't. Menu is a bit all over the place, that's the problem I don't think the soak knows what it wants to be.. from pasta to dim sum, fish n chips to katsu curry it's a bit of a mish "mash" in style and lacks a clear identity. We decided to order a bit of everything for the table (not a huge menu and we were a group of 3) triple cooked chips, katsu curry, spring rolls, gyoza, dumplings etc and the food did arrive quite quickly, hot and all together which was what we wanted. Both vegan and vegetarian options available which was good. The quality of the food was not bad, not great, but not bad. Fairly reasonable for some things and very expensive for others. It was nice in the sense for the special occasion that it was but I am not entirely convinced it's that great. I would go back again a different day/time and try something completely different on the menu to compare. The cocktails and atmosphere is second to none! A really cool place just to sit and have a nice drink, listen to the tunes and absorb the world around you. Not cheap obviously (£37.00 for a bottle of wine) but a cool place for a special treat I feel and superbly convenient to the Apollo and Victoria Palace theatres. If you don't eat here you must indulge in a pre/post theatre tipple and "soak" up this uniquely stunning building alone

I visited this restaurant on Saturday night just before Xmas. Firstly, the food is great, I had a lamb tagine with chickpeas and vegetables, very tasty and a touch of spice, just the right amount. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, well definitely be on my list on my visits to London.

I have been to this bar/restaurant adjacent to Victoria station many times but only today realised they have a seriously good cocktail list! I had a lovely (vegan) pisco sour followed by their award winning Bourbon soak! This was an amazing cocktail! I will be back just for this cocktail. All the staff were lovely especially Edmond who took good care of me.

Had booked a reservation a week and a half ago and was confirmed, only to be told yesterday that I needed to pay £100 non refundable deposit. No thank you and for better, please.

Had a lunch here, really quiet inside. Service was a bit slow considering how few tables there were. Food was nice and hot but nothing exciting. Nachos for a starter, beware its a generous portion :D Had the tomahawk steak, was so tough to get meat off the bone with a steak knife that I had to give up on it... The rest of the steak was good. I will come back as I think it's a fantastic place for cocktails

Went for my birthday. Everything was perfect. Decor, staff and food. They surprised me with a slice of cake for my birthday, which was such a lovely gesture. Will definitely go again. Have recommended to others, as will not be disappointed.

It was a good experience, for a large family lunch with good enough food but nothing exceptional. The place, like so many these days is noisy. Very much the fashion not to have many soft furnishings to absorb the chatter and hubbub. Service was ok but clearly the staff were stretched to handle a pretty full restaurant. Getting to the food and menu, not a lot of options for anyone gluten free. If that’s you, go somewhere else. One choice, which said gf on the menu, they advised was not. Prawn cocktail pretty good, loads of prawns, bit short on the lettuce. Burger good. Half chicken very good and pretty ample. But a word for the chef. Caesar salad has anchovies. This one didn’t. I did offer to nip over the road to Waitrose. All the ping pong stuff fine but seems like they can’t make up their minds what to offer. It was convenient location for a meet-up for a group from different locations, but I wouldn’t return. Simply more better choice around.

Muhammad was an excellent waiter who guided us thru the excellent food choices. He made our dining experience extra special.

The environment, decor & sense of space within the bar was instantly relaxing . Along with the smile from the greeter who showed us to a table of our choice. Sampled a bit of their food- sticky chicken & prawn on toast. Both lovely & very tasty. The Long Island Iced Tea cocktail didn’t disappoint ! & The pot of tea to follow could have served quite a few. 😁 Would highly recommend

Sock restaurant palace is a bad place

If I had to describe my experience in one word, that would be “LOVE”. The staff was amazing, kind, pleasant, made us feel welcomed. Roberto has a unique way of making the customer smile, dunno how but he managed to convince us to try lots of food. My fav place in London so far!

We went here for a bottomless brunch and were very pleasantly surprised. The food was tasty and plentiful and the service was excellent and very attentive! At no point in our allotted 90 minutes we were empty - and there staff were always on hand to top us up. The setting was also really nice and gave a classy touch to our brunch. Whilst not as raucous as some other bottomless brunches, this was a really nice brunch in a lovely setting with great staff - would recommend!

Haven't been for a couple of years but we were going to a show at The Other Palace Theatre so it was a perfect choice. Attached to the fabulous Clermont Hotel, service as ever was impeccable. Decor is lovely and it's super comfortable. Food is very good and well priced. Drinks are not cheap but that said, the New Zealand Sauvignan Blanc that we had was gorgeous.

Lovely place for food and beautiful decor inside. Everything was lovely from staff to surroundings the only down fall for us it was a very mixed vibe regarding music which was very club like ! While eating which was a little bit of a mood kill. Couldn't hear yourself think. Otherwise everything was top knotch ! Thank you for having us. X

We had a mini family reunion here with guests from Australia, France, Scotland and UK. Nearly everyone was 60+ so we wanted somewhere that wasn't too noisy and where we could move around to chat to everyone during and after our lunch. The Soak was perfect! I'd arranged a table at one end of the restaurant and we had loads of space and not many people near us. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous - much larger than we expected. The staff were very attentive without being intrusive. We were there from 1pm-5pm and were made to feel very welcome - even though most people only drank tap water !! It is a beautiful setting and we would recommend it to others without hesitation.

The atmosphere with arches and flowers are charming and lovely . The staff, Alex and Roy were professional and attentive. Very welcoming and inviting place. The food was good, Fresh and hot. A nice relaxing experience!
