Very very good restaurant, if you can afford it well worth putting it down as a regular

Lovely atmosphere and great vibe. Attentive but not pushy staff, good quality food and drink, and quiet background music. Been twice and really enjoyed it both times

We had Roberto who was our server...for the second time. He is a delight! Attentive and friendly. Answered any dietary questions we had. Would highly recommend! :)

Staying at the Clarmont and decided to give this restaurant a shot. What a disappointment. Ordered the Fish and Chips. The fish batter was doughy and soggy. When i took my first bite, the fish fell out of the batter onto my plate. Chips were the best thing out of all three dishes we ordered. The braised beef was dry, mash was cold, and the gravy was non-existent. There was not one drop of moisture in my son's burger. It was cooked beyond well done. My son had a better burger from Shake Shack last night!!!!! Is the executive chef not tasting and checking these dishes as they leave the kitchen? We will not be back! What a shame as David assured us of how good the restaurant was.

Wow. Honestly, I have no words, nor have I ever felt as uncomfortable in a public setting as I did today. There is an employee I would like to point out. I am pretty sure he was Arab and his name was Roy or something around those lines. HE WOULD NOT STOP STARING AT ME! It was almost like he was getting payed to just stare me down as weird as possible. He even stood behind me for a good 30 minutes and every time I turned around he was staring me dead in the eyes and even went the extra mile to LICK HIS LIPS and STICK HIS TONGUE OUT AND WINK at me. At that point I was so uncomfortable I couldn’t even finish my food. I payed my bill and as I was walking out I couldn’t see him anymore. As soon as I reached the front door there he was once again, sticking his tongue out, eyes wide, and winking at me. I’m assuming he waited for me at the door while I got my bill taken care of. This has to be one of the most disturbing experiences of my life. Shame on this establishment. Truly no words.

I’m giving only two stars to be generous. The food was horrible and to top it all off, the waiter kept staring at my underage daughter like there was no tomorrow! You should really teach them some manners, this is unacceptable! We were so uncomfortable to the point where she asked to leave and she is not that type of person. Do Better!!!

I went there once to celebrate my friend's graduation. It went amazing and the service was great. Thank you Mohammed, Jeremy and Robert for your lovely hospitality.

A nice restaurant to celebrate with your friends. They offer 90 minutes free flow of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Many celebrate their bachelor or bachelorette parties here. The atmosphere is nice and quiet. There's a small menu list but nothing to complain. The starters are divine. For the main courses, there's nothing much special they offer. It's your normal Burger or Katsu curry. If you are foodie, I recommend the Prawn in black ink dumpling for starter.

We had a lovely evening - good service , helpful staff, drinks and food. The only think I would change is to have the music a bit quieter.

The service was abysmal. The food was good, both variety on the menu and quality, and very well priced. However, the staff let all this done. I’m not sure they’ve been trained let alone worked in hospitality before. A group of six had drink at the bar before dinner. Where to begin…. The drinks menu advice to ask the staff about the selection of ales. I did, and the waiter said “I don’t know”. I asked if he could find out. He just looked at me and smiled. I then asked again. He just smiled and nodded his head no. Then at dinner, the drinks took ages to arrive. Two glasses of wine arrived after dessert.. Once eating the empty plates from some of our group were cleared while others were still eating. We had to ask the waiter to stop. It was like a fast food restaurant. The staff were inattentive, verging on rude. The staff made the experience un enjoyable.

We made reservations well in advance, about 3 months prior, and visited this establishment on 6/27/24. It is conveniently located near the tube station. Upon our early arrival, we were promptly seated. The staff provided exceptional service throughout our dining experience. The seating was luxurious, with plush blue velvet seats that were both spacious and comfortable. The restaurant's floral décor gave it an elegant ambiance giving it the vibe that it may convert into a high-end nightclub in the evening. The menu offered a wide variety of options, with generous portion sizes. The drink selection was extensive, and the dessert menu, although not extensive, was delightful. I particularly enjoyed the Dark Chocolate Raspberry cake, which was truly exceptional. Overall, this restaurant proved to be an ideal choice for a pre- or post-theater dinner.

Our second visit , having enjoyed the experience previously. We were impressed by the relaxed atmosphere and straightforward menu which includes some tasty Chinese items. We were expertly served by Jeban, who was extremely pleasant and seemed happy to be there .

Despite the fancy décor and ambiance, this place is jazzed up and grossly over priced with staff who have no customer service training. The only person who did was the receptionist at the door. Where she sat me the waiter looked at me twice, smiled and still did not come and ask me for a drink but served someone who was seated after me! I switched tables due to the air con and a similar situation occurred whereby the receptionist had to ask the waiter to serve me!!! Our waiter was slow and did not notice when we were ready to order, we had to ask! The food was basic, no attention to presentation. Extremely disappointed. This was my second chance with this restaurant, I will not be returning

Amazing food, service and atmosphere, definitely coming back next time we’re in the area. We ordered the Soak Burger, the Biryani and the prawn crackers, couldn’t have been nicer.

I would highly suggest the staff not gathering to make fun of guests - especially within earshot of the people you are making fun of. My table was not the focus of their mockery, but experienced pretty terrible service in general.

Your staff is just great. Thank you for looking at every person at the table so we were able to say no or yes with just our eyes or hands without interrupting the meeting.

Have to agree with other posts, lovely decor and the cocktails were very good, we were served quickly as there is a button in the booth to press. What lets this place down is the staff, from leaving the table, passing at least 6 staff on the way out, not one of them even looked at us or smiled and it wasn’t even busy, the one on the main door even turning away as we went to go through. Not what you’d expect given the 15% service charge that’s applied without even telling you. Very disappointing end to the visit, plenty of other places around that are far more welcoming and customer focused.

Loved the atmosphere and deco, very elegant but with modern music playing. Had a family lunch here, but could totally see it as a date night spot or drinks with friends. Cozy booths. Nice food and drink choices. Conveniently located. Good value for your money.

On first impressions, the venue is very pleasing on the eye. I arrived 15 minutes early for our booked table at 5pm, I was shown to our reserved table, no offer of "can I get you a drink while you wait?" and I waited and waited. I could visibly see 3 waiters, all chatting, I'm giving positive indication I'd like service but nobody came, so I went to the bar myself. At 5pm the other 2 guests arrived and once again we waited for service, I had to ask a passing waiter who was waiting on the bar area of we could order drinks. The whole 2 hours we had to constantly look for attention to be served, there were only 6 tables to wait on, 3 servers, so hardly busy. The food was served, 2 x fish and chips, 1 x burger, no offer of ketchup, vinegar etc, so we had to once again summon someone to ask. The food was OK and not a patch on The Ivy which is down the road and will be going to in the future. A terrible, terrible experience. BTW, I did mention to our waiter that we were feeling rather unloved giving them ample chance to improve but nothing changed.

Creat Service, didn‘t stay at the hotel

So disappointed in Soak. It has an attractive stylish interior, is clean and has comfortable seating. I really wanted it to become a regular haunt. Unfortunately the food was poorly presented and looked and tasted bland. The service was slow and disorganised. We were a party of 10 who had prebooked and preordered at their request, yet on the day they didn't know who had ordered what and our meals were not served all together. They were not particularly busy, the restaurant seemed to be almost empty but for us. They lauded their "legendary" Ping Pong menu but on the strength of the food I was served I wouldn't visit any Ping Pong restaurant anywhere ever again. I give it two stars for the decor. They really need to sort out everything else.

A good place away from the normal city of junk food, next to Buckingham Palace, very cozy, very good service and excellent food, I came to London for three days and I will eat here again, highly recommended.

Wonderful place for a date night; The sophisticated decor, high ceilings, booths and plants create an opulent setting. We had meals from the Ping-pong choices, which were tasty and perfect portions. Great drink and cocktail selection and we had superb service from Muhammad while there.

Excellent bar and great food. Really enjoy the fancy cocktails they offer, it looked good and it tasted just as good. Staff are friendly and attentive. Love the decor in the restaurant as well. Highly recommend

Discovered this restaurant on my birthday whilst up London, unplanned lunch at soak with to kids, the staff and service were excellent and the food was good. It was so good that I decide to book dinner with my wife a week later. Unfortunately upon my second time at soak I was left disappointed. I made a reservation a week advance. Only to find on the evening that there was no table available unless I agreed to finish with table in 1hr 30 minutes. Otherwise had to take table in the casual booth area. This was due to to soak taking on a party. I agreed to taking a booth due to having a theater booked. Unfortunately the booths are out of the staff sight of vision, (and even though I ask bar staff for service). We waited 20 minutes before we decided to leave. I would understand if I walked in, with out a reservation, however this wasn't the case. We end up in Covent garden walking in to the ivy bar and grill, who were able to offer a service last minute with out feeling we were being unreasonable or rushing, we also sat at the bar and enjoyed our meal. Ivy were able to not ruin a date night prior to theater and offer a great service. Overall due to my first experience at soak I would recommend them for drinks, snacks, friendless with kids.and ambience it provides. The poor service may of been an off night. However due the bad service and unable to accommodate a reservation I made. I don't feel I be returning, which is ashame. With alot of bars, restaurants, and competition, Soak have to up there game (service) during peak times.

Booked here for my birthday as it was 5 minutes from our hotel and so glad I did! From our lovely welcome as we walked in the door to all the staff who made our evening. Number 1 must be the staff, they are all so lovely and attentive. The place was full but they somehow managed to make us feel as though we were the only couple in the place. Cheers to the lovely men who sang me Happy Birthday. Sorry cannot give the food a certain "thumbs up" we were full of cold and nothing tastes the same, although the bottle of fizz went down a treat. We will certainly be back next time we venture to London, just need to go through the cocktail menu as they looked amazing!!!

As always good friendly service, good food, great atmosphere. Has become my go to spot when in London. Bangers & Mash is superb here as is the blackcurrant cheesecake.

2022. Very nice place for a spot of lunch or as I observed afternoon tea (will be back to try that in the future) Though there was a clear staffing issue while we was there the overall experience was a good one and the food was absolutely delicious speed of service from ordering was very impressive and the presentation was to a high standard. Overall I recommend it if you are in the area and want a chilled yet high standard meal. 2024.Popped in late the other night for a drink with a colleague and its just a beautiful as before this is definitely a go to spot when in the area or travelling via Victoria.

MWAH. The staff was very attentive and assured that we had filled to the brim champagne glasses drying our entire brunch experience. I highly recommend the bottomless brunch. Food may not have been the highlight, however the staffs commitment to making sure our champagne glasses were full at all times overpowered the bowl of chips and steak covered in sauce. Probably one of the best restaurants in London!!! The staff made sure we are satisfied and my little girl absolutely loved them. They were going above and beyond to serve us and to make sure we enjoyed our lunch. Our Champagne glasses were always topped up and all our orders were professionally served. I will rate the food as 5 stars as it was fresh, delicious and professionally presented. We enjoyed few cocktails which the barman created specifically for us which was a nice touch. Venue is lively given good welcome at entrance, after being seated everything felt rushed, from choosing the wine to ordering starter and meal. Waiter came 3 times in the space of minutes to check if we were ready to order. Food was as described, served at correct temperature and tasted good. Plates were cleared quickly and again the waiter kept appearing asking what we wanted for dessert. The restaurant is nice and food good but the waiters rushing you is not what you want on an evening out for a leisurely meal, disappointing evening.

Ordered a few dishes; bangers and mash, chicken skewers, nachos and rump steak. After I've ordered, I was asked about allergies which I happily repiied to with celery. Bare in mind, I've asked for no salsa for the nachos as I get bad heartburn and for a medium/rare steak, both came in subpar quality. The nachos, which I have specifically asked for without Salsa, came with salsa and the steak came luke warm with undercooked chips. My nachos were sent back and came again without Salsa and my steak was heated up after I challenged it but the quality of the meat still remained-it was horrid! Service was friendly but wasn't able to pick up any issues and only asked if everything ok after he's taken plates away. I expect this kind of service from Wetherspoons but not when I pay £45 for a meal!! Won't recommend and won't be back

Dined here whilst staying at The Clermont. Staff were very friendly & welcoming … food was delicious (we had the focaccia, chicken tenders, twice cooked chicken & Soak burger) … beautiful setting … cocktails are delicious 😊

I was there yesterday to celebrate the birthday of a Family member, and the truth is that I was a little worried because of the reviews I had read!! but the service was excellent, the food was exceptional, very fresh and very delicious, the atmosphere very pleasant, the restaurant very nice and the person who served us was a very professional waitress and very attentive at all times and best of all they fulfilled my order, I recommend 100 percent the restaurant, sure I will return with my family, and to continue to maintain the high standards of customer service. Thank you for a very pleasant dinner.

Really nice vibe and there was live music when we visited. Stopped by for a drink and a snack and usually pubs in Victoria would be too busy but this one is just right 👍

The menu had a good selection of food and it was very reasonably priced. The staff were very attentive and I will definitely return and definitely recommend the restaurant.

We visited for an early evening meal and had a great experience, cocktails were great and the setting itself had a really good vibe and atmosphere. Food wise we had a selection of dim sum, burgers and salad and each was delivered quickly and looked and tasted superb - very good value. What did make the visit special and set it apart was the service. Everyone was so efficient and professional and looked after us with a smile - certainly a rarity when eating out in London. They even brought out a birthday dessert for my friend without being prompted and unexpected. We will all be back again very soon and will be recommending, thank you and well done!

Very disappointed with what was meant to be a memorable day. Had booked for the bottomless brunch and despite booking being confirmed on arrival we were told that the booking was for lunch. The restaurant female supervisor was rude and dismissive, and offered no apology for a clear miscommunication. Initially said that we could not have the brunch as there would not have been enough food. This went on for 30mins and we were not offered a drink inc water or an apology and then told we could order from the brunch menu and she would tell us if the chef was happy to accommodate our order. We were then approached by another supervisor who did listen and apologise but we were left feeling as if we were very much in the wrong. Not what we were expecting from a reputable establishment such as yours. Food also disappointing. Will not be back or recommend.

Excellent friendly, helpful and efficient service. The care taken over allergy’s and intolerance’s was exceptional and appreciated. We mixed abc matched with our menu options and the food was fresh and delicious. Great cocktails and wine too but the icing on the cake was that both ladies whose birthdays we were celebrating received their own birthday cheesecake and candle with birthday wishes and that really made their day. Thank you so much for a great lunch with the extra personal touches - we will be back

Although we met for dinner, we left after one drink because of the live music. It was fine in itself, but we had arranged to meet in order to have a catch up, and it was simply too noisy to do that. So we left.

The service is slow and not inviting. I have been here a few times through several stays at the Clermont and have found the floor staff judging and rude. The staff behind the bar have always been friendly and great to chat with. The lamb kofta is a nice snack to have with a drink.

Ideal restaurant for a pre show meal. We visited around 5.30 and restaurant was fairly quiet, food is simple but good quality and reasonably priced. Lovely environment with booths and tables, service was excellent

Nice venue, brilliant location and friendly service. Unfortunately the wine and Gimlet we had were not great at all and were overpriced.

Nothing fancy but decent enough stake fries, moules frites and burgers with okayish drinks.

This is a lovely environment, the booths especially are cosy and pretty, the atmosphere is relaxed, the music isn’t too loud. It’s busy without being crazy or loud. It’s possible to have good conversation with your friends. Excellent location for being close to Victoria station. But the staff are inexperienced, I had several awkward interactions, they brought the wrong drinks, I had to go to the bar to correct things more than once, which is fine, but definitely not relaxing.

Staff in the restaurant were wonderful. The food was alright, but the service made everything feel perfect. Our host Mark was excellent and the rest of the team were great. The attentiveness of the staff was some of the best I experienced. We were a table of 14 with young children and they did as much as possible to accommodate us well. Thanks Mark & team

Loved the venu but the food choices were so calorific. I don't know if it's how they cook it, or if it's an error, but adding salmon to a dish is an extra 500 plus calories. Sausage and mash is the lowest cal meal in the menu (apart from sticky toffee pud). This is the only reason I would not go back.

Went here after pantomime. The girls all enjoyed a drink or two. It was quite quiet for a Sunday in December.

We had our office Christmas dinner here and enjoyed the experience. We had few rounds of beer and then starters followed by main meal and bill for each came to £50. Very reasonable. I had lamb kofteh for starter followed chilli chicken pot which was delicious. Only complaint is before live music the sound of music felt a bit too loud which is either effect of beer 🍺 or getting old 😎

What a beautiful bar! Located right outside the Victoria station, makes it a perfect and extreme convenient place to meet a friend if you’re in a hurry! Good customer service as we were seated very quickly. We just had a some red wine but we saw they have a menus of a good collection of cocktails and other drinks. I recommend and would definitely revisit.

This was our first time dining at The Soak and definitely not the last. We were served by Charita who was very attentive making sure we were having a great time. Cocktails were sublime, I would have tried the whole menu if possible. Food was served quickly whilst being great value. The general ambience was great, the live music was a really pleasant surprise. This would be a great place to come for food or drink, we will be back!

Très bon rapport qualité prix ! Le restaurant est dans un hôtel, nous avions très bien mangé et à des prix correct ! Le personnel est chaleureux, souriant, accueillant et serviable ! On s'y sent vraiment bien ! D'ailleurs on n'a vraiment pas vu le temps passer tellement c'est agréable ! La déco est sympa, c'est propre et le service est rapide.

Service was very good couldn’t fault that at all. We had a selection of dumplings, ribs and prawn toast which all were a bit average. The cocktails were excellent though. Wouldn’t not come again would probably just have drinks though.

A hotel very near to London Victoria Station. An ideal place to stay or just to pop into for a drink before you catch your train. The atmosphere is quiet and calm but the service is excellent. Prices are not too bad, considering it is a good quality hotel. The range of beers and wines are limited but I tried a Stella Unfiltered which was very nice. The staff were attentive and friendly but they do add a service charge because they bring your drink to the table, even though I ordered at the bar.

Came here with a friend for their bottomless brunch. The service was good, everyone was very welcoming. They refilled our drinks at a good rate. It was quite empty for a central London restaurant on a Saturday lunch. The food was okay, nothing particularly special. The steak and chips were slightly bizarre - served in a bowl with way too much mustard and ketchup dolloped over it. Not sure I’d go back unless they changed the brunch menu.

Why you add tip to receipt without asking? I see this habit in many places. Many people are not miss that detail.

This restaurant is within a hotel. The ambience is absolutely amazing. Very cooling when I went in there. Brought in with a newborn and baby sleeps pretty much all the time letting us enjoy the food. The food was alright. Enjoyed the garlic mushroom side. The others are just average like grilled chicken burger, the steak or the moules with fries. Great drinking place or catching up with friends if you are around London Victoria area.

I was in there early for drinks so there wasn’t many people in and nor did I eat so I can’t comment on that, but the drinks and service were amazing and is definitely come back for food

Pleasant enough venue attached to The Clermont Hotel in Victoria. High ceilings, looks impressive, feels a bit sterile. Lovely staff and good service.

Very pleasant bar right next to Victoria station. Visited on a warm bank holiday weekend so it was quiet and was seated at a large, comfy booth. Had to move halfway through our visit as a family with young screaming babies were seated right next to us despite the venue being virtually empty. Not the family’s fault but I don’t understand why guests can’t be spaced out a bit more for privacy and comfort when a restaurant/bar is quiet. Friendly and attentive staff; tasty vegan food and really nice cocktails. Could be cheaper and offer a wider variety of cocktails but overall would recommend and return.

Pleasant restaurant in a historic building. Part of the hotel next-door. We had delicious Chinese dishes which were surprisingly good. The air conditioning is designed for the American taste, we asked for it to be turned off.

My most recent visit was not a great experience,. It was a daytime visit and the service was poor. There were numeours things on the menu and at the bar they did not have or could not provide. The food I ordered despite saying no wheat came covered in wheat and did not taste good, clearly bought in frozen and deep fried , why would you do that to a chicken fillet burger. Makes no sense. We have been a few times previously and while the service has been on the weak side for such an impressive venue the food was always to a good standard. There are many other venues nearby so will prioritise them over the soak in the future.

Cocktails menu was absolutely excellent, innovative and caters for lots of different tastes. Food was on the let down side, fish was tasteless and chips felt cold inside, mushy peas were also cold. Salad was inedible, it had an extreme amount of dressing and 3 pounds of cheese. We raised the issue about the salad being left on the plate and were completely dismissed. We paid in full and left hungry only to return to the hotel and eat the complementary popcorn.
