The best restaurants serving British food in St James's City of London, Westminster London

Having had just a bowl of fruit salad at the hotel, by the time we'd done various bits & pieces I was a tad peckish, & my friend had noticed the menu here, so we investigated further. Had not realised that although this is a student venue, it is also open to everyone - anyway, we ventured in. Very small menu, but the veggie gyozo piqued my interest. A mere £3.95 for four gyozo with a delicious & unexpectedly spicy (well, to my taste anyway!) sauce. Certainly not the usual sort of place we eat when on our hols, but wouldn't hesitate to pop in again should the opportunity present itself.

Soy una gran persona de costilla y era bastante entusiasmado a probar este lugar. Por desgracia, las costillas eran horribles. Terrible meal. The starters are a waste of time, the vegetables have been sitting there for a couple of hours, The only decent thing to say is that there is plenty of meat.

Buen lugar para tomar algo con un amigo - ambos disfrutamos de la cerveza Fullers y pensamos que deberíamos llenar el estómago con un bocadillo £ 9 . 95 para una porción de nuggets de pollo - servidos en una lata bicker - cuatro nuggets! Mi cálculo hace que sea un poco menos de £ 2. 50 cada uno - sentir que fuimos explotados y no volveremos - lo siento!

La etapa puerta es un pequeño pub perfecto que es fácil perderse ya que es una manzana completa de Waterloo Road. Mi esposa y yo nos quedamos en el Hampton by Hilton Waterloo y no podía creer lo cerca este pub estaba al hotel; literalmente a un minuto a pie desde el vestíbulo. Habíamos leído que el pub se llena temprano, así que llegamos antes de la seis, y todavía teníamos que sentarse en el bar, como todas las mesas estaban llenos (estaba lloviendo, así que la zona de jardín de la azotea estaba disponible). Nos dieron las bebidas ... yo tenía una pinta de una sidra de excelente Addlestone en de barril ... y vimos que una pequeña mesa estaba siendo desocupado, así que nos señaló la camarera y nos trasladamos a la mesa. El personal alegre nunca perdimos nada, para conseguir nuestra orden de cena con nosotros en nuestra nueva ubicación y mantener nuestras bebidas rellenados. Mi mujer pidió el especial que era una ilusión excepcional de carne. En realidad, ambos pedí la especial, pero que le dieron el último, y que sustituía un excelente hamburguesa con queso Cheddar. Una vez más, este es un pub popular, y los especiales ir rápidamente, así que intenta no coma demasiado tarde en la noche. Seguimos por la comida con un delicioso brownie con helado. A mythical place next to the River Thames. Very beautiful for a walk.

We were very disappointed with our meals, fish & chips and the pie. Both meals were served stone cold and when we asked for them to be replaced replacements came very quickly, to quick for freshly cooked meals but they were not the ones returned. These meals were lukewarm warm at best, but we were hungry and ate them. The portion of mash was disappointing, barely visible until the pie was moved on the plate and there was barely any gravy. Everything is overpriced, we had the same combination of meals and drinks at another pub in central London for £10 less. These meals were served hot!

Went to this bar for NYE.. It was a shame they dint serve food or any snacks at all on NYE. Ofcourse everyone got there nice and early to avoid the crowd only to find out the kitchen was closed for the night. The staff was good and helpful. The bar sure offers an amazing view for the fireworks for NYE . Its a good pit stop..

The fish and chips were great. Nice environment created with music and decor. The attention was great and it is very well located

Always get a nice sandwich at Subway

Delicioso curry caliente! Totalmente inesperado debido a la ubicación. Precios muy justos de Londres y sin duda recomendaría si te apetece algo sabroso y caliente! Personal muy amable!

Este es un espacio increíblemente grande (aunque una vez que creo que la iglesia encima, es bastante obvio que se puede meter un café y un restaurante de aquí).

I took my parents for some hot beverages and cake and was extremely impressed by the kind, thoughtful and prompt service shown by our waiter, Pravan, throughout our whole stay. He was thoroughly professional, helpful and friendly. The drinks and the cake were also lovely and the ambience was calm and enjoyable. Would recommend, and thank you again Pravan.
