WORST AFTERNOON TEA EVER! Myself and a friend booked afternoon tea via a third party and arrived excited and eager to have a lovely afternoon. Sadly we were made to feel like we were a bother to the establishment and given a table which we accepted. Our afternoon tea was brought out but no further interaction followed or simply to check if we were okay. We struggled to get the attention of a waiter to simply ask for oat milk instead of dairy milk for example. The tea provided was basic English breakfast in a very small pot of tea with no top up provided. the sandwiches were okay and the cakes weren't bad but what a disappointing experience and the worst afternoon tea I've ever had! A complete rip off! We just left after we were done. No one even said goodbye or anything further once we were seated. What a poor way to treat customers! So angry I wasted money on this mediocre afternoon tea!!!

We have eaten here a few times & returned because we like the atmosphere & the service was good, however; this time it was not a good experience. We were in London for a concert & came up early to chill out, have a wander around Piccadilly & lunch before moving on to the venue. It was not particularly busy & we were seated quickly, but waited a while for our order to be taken, we chose toasted ciabattas, one ham & cheese & an open smoked salmon ciabatta with cream cheese. The food arrived & I questioned the salmon ciabatta, as it looked like tuna to me, the waiter said yes its salmon, which made me question what I had seen on the menu. I checked the menu & I was not going mad, smoked salmon was on the menu. At this point I could not be bothered to complain & re-order, I really wanted a hassle free lunch with my wife, so ate the tuna ciabatta, which was nice, but not what I ordered. We ordered more drinks & a dessert to share, the drinks came, but the dessert never materialised & the waiting staff had disappeared. Tired of waiting we decided to go up to the til to pay, upon doing so the staff did appear, I have no idea where they were hiding, we checked the bill & on it was a smoked salmon ciabatta, which was more expensive than the tuna & we had not been charged for a dessert, so that was just forgotten altogether. We had the bill adjusted to reflect the difference in price, the waiter did not seem to be bothered about me complaining about the mistake & the dessert that never arrived, he said sorry, but just shrugged it off as though it were normal. They really need to up their game in this establishment, these mistakes should not happen, we will take our custom elsewhere in the future.

Ich persönlich habe mich in diesem Café alles andere als wohl gefühlt. Da es ewig dauerte, bis unsere Bestellung aufgenommen wurde und dann auch nochmal ewig gedauert bis unsere Bestellung endlich serviert wurde. In der Zeit fühlten wir uns durch das überforderte Personal unterhalten. Wenn Mitarbeiter zurechtgewiesen werden, sollte man das nicht vor den Gästen machen. Die Bestellung hat es im übrigen auch nicht vollständig an unseren Tisch geschafft. Wurde der Kaffee halt geteilt. Kurz zu den Macarons , die haben geschmacklich maximal 2 Sterne verdient.

Lugar bonito, bem localizado, ótimo atendimento, fomos muito bem tratados. Tivemos uma ótima experiência em nossa estadia em Londres.

Ok venue for breakfast. Very convenient in terms of location (very close to Trafalgar Square) but food and service was only average.

Great service from Alex! Lovely high tea and the atmosphere was wonderful. The food was excellent and service was impeccable.

We missed breakfast and was about to leave. However Alex made it available for us. Exceptional service. The drinks aren’t filled with ice like most places.

It was after work and wanted a quick bite. They are not good with vegan options but our waiter Alex was very friendly and helpful!

Worst place I ever took my family. Looking very inviting at first glance it turned out to be the exact opposite. Team was stressing and even shoutingc at each other. Very disrespectful. When asking how much longer our food would take they walked away and did not come back with an answer. Also treating their customers I would call disrepectful, arrogant and not done. After one hour we still did not have our food and asked for the bill for our drinks. Half of our not served food was on the bill. After arguing for a while we could clarify. Took us 2 minutes to get to good food next door (shake shack). The place I am describing is Caffe Concerto at Covent Garden. Reco: change the management of that place!!!

Wij wilden hier terecht voor een gezellige brunch in covent garden. We zaten op het terras. Het bestellen ging vlot. Vanaf hier alleen maar bergafwaarts. Zeer lang moeten wachten op onze drank die dan ook nog eens verkeerd opgenomen werd. Na 3 kwartier wachten vroegen we al 3 keer hoelang het zou duren. Ze liepen steeds weg en vermeden ons bij het terugkomen. Dit liet ons al vermoeden dat het nog lang zou duren. Er waren al 3 tafels vroegtijdig vertrokken omdat het te lang duurde. Na enkele opmerkingen vroegen we of we konden afrekenen omdat het te lang duurde. Eerst begonnen ze rond te lopen om snel alles voor elkaar te krijgen, maar op dat moment hadden we er genoeg van. Toen we de rekening kregen van de drank was ook deze verkeerd. Ze reageerden zeer agressief. Wij komen hier in ieder geval nooit meer terug.

Im in london for a couple of days and was looking for an English breakfast. I went to serval places but no one was open. I came across this establishment and ask if they knew a place to get breakfast as they weren’t open as yet. The lovely lady manager with blonde hair. (Unfortunately I have forgotten her name) said to sit down and will serve me breakfast, even though the restaurant wasn’t open. She was very helpful and nice to talk to. I really appreciate it as I’m not from the UK. Thank you

The service and the food were terrible. They forgot our order, came 20 minutes later to say they did not have what I ordered. When the food arrived, it was not what I ordered, and when I finally ate, the food was a major disappointment. The Bill took us 5 tries.

Placed at one table. Ordered food and drinks. Got moved in the middle of the meal to another table while eating and had to carry our plates of food on our own to the new table. Drinks didnt arrive. Place looks nice but better to spend your money elsewhere.

Went there with my wife after dinner to eat some deserts. THE SERVICE is terrible: asked for a crepe with vainilla ice cream and not much nutella. They decided to bring the opposite: a small crepe with a soup of nutella and no vanilla ice cream. After complainig, the indian waiter, with very bad mood, told us the ice cream was coming and ,yes, it came 10 minutes later when the food was finished. The big surprise was still to come: HE CHARGED EXTRA COST FOR THE ICE CREAM :) What a shame…

We were at the Piccadilly restaurant last night. We had horrible service. We finished our meal, our plates were cleared and we waited over 30 minutes and no one came to check on us, ask if we wanted dessert or bring us the cheque. We were hoping for tea and a dessert to finish out the meal. No such luck. Finally someone came near our table, we had to wave her over, and we asked what we did wrong to be ignored. We were told if we wanted our cheque we had to ask. No one had come near us to ask so how does that happen. Needless to say we didn't order tea and dessert. Then we had asked for separate checks when we ordered and the first time the cheque was together and had to be redone. Very disappointing service but the food was amazing

C’est franchement une très belle découverte au centre de Londres près de la Oxford street, le personnel est très sympa et chaleureux, les prix sont abordables (c’est Londres aussi) les assiettes sont très bien raffinées et copieuses. L’intérieur du restaurant est magnifique et vintage. Rien à dire…. À conseiller sans problème

Lovely restaurant with great service and delicious food. Booked for dinner, although on arrival wondered if it was more a place for tea/coffee and amazing looking cakes. However, dinner turned out to be really good. Staff were so nice and attentive. We were all impressed with our selected meals.

Just had a lovely breakfast here at Caffe Concerto, all cooked fresh and plentiful Thought the staff were all very pleasant (in contrast to some comments) special mention to Ashedeep who was great!!

We love this cute little cafe. On our trip to London, we ate here almost every single day for breakfast. The service is quick and the food is delicious. The waiters are also excellent, 10/10 everything ❤️❤️❤️

Local bonito, pratos bons, mas sem banheiro e sem Wi-Fi. O timing do garçom também é ruim. Não serviu todos ao mesmo tempo.

The waiter wasn’t that nice or welcoming. We were four people that ordered. First they messed up the desserts and after we corrected them they got it right. The muffins were okej, not that good. One of us ordered tea, that never was served, so when we left we told them that they could cancel that. On top of that, they took tip automatically on the bill. Not recommended.

Looks nice on the outside but the lady that greets you is miserable and rude. The drinks are overpriced and the rest of the staff aren’t any more friendly. Will not be back

This a chain of cafes so don't expect too much. Very pricey for some standard fare. £8 for a slice of cake was that was not that special and the scones were tiny.

decided to pop in for afternoon tea with a friend after a lovely day out in London. we were sat and decided our order within a few minutes… had to wait about 15 further minutes for someone to take our order, just as we were about to leave and find somewhere else. Also super overpriced (£6) for 2 scones that look as if they come from Tesco, not worth it

On passing the restaurant a member of the team enticed us in - big mistake on our part!!!!Having presented us with the menus, the waiter (mature Indian guy) returned to take our order; then having giving him our first choice, he left the table to go and coax some other people in. He then returned to finish taking our order.Drinks arrived in a timely manner and were well prepared by a lovely young lady managing the bar/refreshments dispensary. Whilst eating our meals, a female member of the kitchen team then came through the dining area with numerous bags of trash to be thrown on the pavement for collection!Service was inattentive, inappropriate and lacking any real customer service or finesse! Food, at best was just about edible!!Our bill came to £71.44 including service charge. I paid by card and the waiter said we should leave a tip for him as the service charge is for everyone, including kitchen, not just for him!!! Totally out of order and disrespectful to his fellow colleagues.We accept that there is a lack of people in industry at this time, however As a chain, Caffe Concerto senior management need to get back to grass roots training.Bring back Caffe Concerto Grand that was near The Ritz - always got good service and quality food there!!Would totally recommend avoiding a visit and the investors of Caffe Concerto should be ashamed.

I love a good strong coffee and I got it here and I didnt have to pay for 3 extra shots,it was coffee flavoured coffee to start with so I was more than happy,the tea and cakes were well received too!! Top marks,

Fuimos allí hace unos días con unos amigos. Pedimos una mesa tranquila y trajeron a sus mesas arriba. Sofás acogedores, buena música y un personal amable y acogedor. Marina nos dirigió a nuestra mesa, creo que era el nombre, sonriendo desde que llegamos a la puerta principal y ella se ocupó de nuestras necesidades durante toda la noche. Simplemente maravillosa comida y personal altamente recomendado.

El Caf en sí es bastante agradable en una buena ubicación y el servicio era bueno, pero 4. 50 por una cucharada de helado Creo que era demasiado caro, especialmente teniendo en cuenta que todavía se siente obligado a pagar el servicio discrecional además de que nos proporcionaron otras cosas.La otra comida que tomamos tenía un precio razonable y estaba bien

Popped in for full English, it was very tasty as was my tea in a china cup. Only complaint, waitress was too eager in wanting to take our plates away, had barely finished my last mouthful before plate vanished. They weren’t busy so slightly confusing.

Omelets on the menu come with toast and salad. I asked for a cheese and tomato omelet with no bread. Omelet comes out with toast but no salad. Send it back asking for omelet with no bread. They make a pale omelet with no bread, no salad and no egg yolks!! Absolute rip off, waste of time and no service.

Gironzolando nei dintorni di Piccadilly Circus abbiamo fatto una sosta in questo Cafe...molto elegante..pulito..personale gentile..ottima cheesecake ai frutti di bosco...insomma tante cose positive..a parte i prezzi molto alti ma per una volta si può fare.

Volevamo solo un caffè.... ma non si poteva prendere nulla se non seduti al tavolo e con una porzione di dolce! La cioccolata di mio figlio una squaquarella in tazza immensa davvero orribile ! Il mio dolce di tiramisù non dava neanche l’idea , il crumble di mio marito con crema calda e gelato non male...In compenso il conto davvero eccessivo!

Fui allí el fin de semana para tomar un café y un capricho, que estaban muy bien. ¿Valió la pena el café 5? definitivamente no. Además de esa estafa, también tuvimos que pagar un 12. 5% de servicio. . y no teníamos servicio, lo único que nuestro camarero nos dijo fue "¿Necesita una máquina de tarjetas?" y, sin embargo, un cargo por servicio. . patético.

Mi riferisco in particolare al caffe concerto vicino ad Oxford St.Dopo aver aspettato un infinità di tempo per una torta e un piatto caldo ( prezzi elevatissimi ed eccessivi per la reale qualità) decidiamo di pagare il conto.. e li l'amara sorpresa....come ben sapete a Londra si puo pagare con Bancomat da qualsiasi parte.. porgiamo i nostri bancomat e ci rispondono che non accettato Bancomat del circuito Vpay. (Solo maestro e mastercard) Dopo vari tentativi.. siamo stati costretti a fare un prelievo da un bancomat e tornare a pagare in contanti. Tutto cio non era segnalata da nessuna parte e negli altri caffe concerto di Londra abbiamo sempre pagato con le medesime carte !!!

The cafe is in a lovely location, well presented and very helpful staff. I am surprised at some of the negative comments, I think that their expectations may have been extreme. Yes - it is not budget - and it is in Mayfair. For London, it is competitively priced. The service we could not fault, the cakes sublime, and best of all for the coffee starved Australian - it was a decent coffee. According to him, best coffee on entire 7week trip.

I buy cakes here regularly. Visited the restaurant on the way to Bond Street Station. Bought cakes. Should have been 17£ charged 29£. Emailed the site when I got home to inform them but have not had any response. Shame. Got fleeced by their staff and no one prepared to correct this. No receipt put in the bag which makes me wonder why. I have been a long term customer of Caffe C but no more. I hope they take the 12£ overcharge and use it wisely as businesses don’t survive with this mentality.

The waiter twice got our order wrong... we had to share a starter because of the mistake and eat our main courses desperately as we were on a tight schedule and couldn’t keep waiting. We were given a discount of £4... but maybe a free drink or dessert (as well) would have gone further as an apology! Shame as the restaurant looked so promising!

I"m a regular at Piccadilly Caffè Concerto but typically I never write a review because I'm always in a hurry.... but I find the staff so sweet &, accomadating to all my whims that I've actually decided for once & let them know what I think. For such a busy little restaurant i"m always pleasantly surprised how friendly and efficient the staff are quickly serving proper expresso with delicious fresh cakes with my all time favorites chocolate mousse or zingy lemon cheesecake... Yummmmy.

A well-intentioned hotel staffer recommended this place for a casual tea. While the restaurant was popular, the harried service varied from indifferent to grudging. Moreover, the tea was not very good. The finger sandwiches were generously sized & okay. The scones were also generously apportioned (2/each), but the clotted cream was a bit old & tasteless. The desserts were poor: cute but only grocery store quality. As for the tea, itself, it’s bagged not loose, & served in very small pots. Overall, while the food was filling, we were left disappointed.

Great location, went there as i was passing by, the decor is elegant but the food is just tastless, no flavor no seasoning!

I chose to eat here as it was close to my hotel. I ordered a chicken escalope with fries and a jug of water. After 15 minutes, I still had not received anything to drink and had to call the waitress over to remind her. A glass of water eventually appeared, not the jug that I had asked for. Not even an ice cube in it.... On the other hand, the food was good - hot and tasty.I was in this restaurant at 7pm and the place was not even a third full. That is the thing with eating alone - you get forgotten!

Περνούσαμε από έξω κ είπαμε να καθίσουμε για ένα καφέ. Όταν ζητήσαμε τραπεζάκι μας είπαν ότι δε μπορούμε να καθίσουμε μόνο για καφέ αλλά πρέπει να φάμε κ κάτι. Τελικά πήραμε από ένα καφέ για εμάς κ κρουασάν κ κέικ για τα μικρά μαζί με χυμό. Ο χώρος ωραίος αλλά πολύ μικρός με αποτέλεσμα τα τραπεζάκια να είναι κοντά το ένα στο άλλο κ για να βγεις από τη θέση σου πρέπει να "χτυπήσεις " στο διπλανό σου. Οι τιμές τσιμπημένες.

I love spaghetti alla pescatora on caffe concerto ,, the perfect spaghetti you can eat on London.👏👏

While this cafe is very busy it is expensive. On our visit we were under pressure just to get tea/coffee and a few minutes rest. I have no complaints about the food quality but the prices are quite high. I accept that this is central London with higher prices to be expected but not quite as high as here. The toilets were not great either from a cleanliness point of view.

レミゼラブルのショーの前に軽く食べようとなり、ピカデリーの近くのこのカフェにしました。小さいテーブルが所狭しと並んでいます。窓際にケーキのデスプレイがありそこからケーキを選びます。２０種類くらいあったと思います。イチゴのケーキとチョコレートケーキを選び、紅茶を待ちました。紅茶はティーバッグで、なんだか興ざめしました。ケーキも日本の味をしっているせいか　びっくりするぐらいおいしいというわけではないですが甘さ控えめで、結構食べれました。店内がかわいいので、インスタ映えにはいいのでは？

We had a very negative experience when we went last time just for some dessert and drinks after work. Waiter was very rude, hardly spoke English and on top of that forced us to pay a service charge that should be optional not mandatory. Quality was poor not meeting the expectation based on the price, Pistachio cake so dry and flavorless. When we asked to pay separate, the waiter added to all of the items a service charge without even letting us choose whether to pay it or not. As I said that I was not gonna pay for it, he replied I had to since manager was gonna ask for his name. What a bull****! No one should be forced to pay anything especially after receiving such a bad service. According to the law all restaurants might add a service charge that goes between 4% and 20% but that is optional and not mandatory. Unfortunately being regular customers, we will have to go to some other branches hoping to get a better service.

I visited this restaurant last week and was served by Senta she was amazing with us and we tried the risotto and cakes definitely will be coming back. Keep it up

Visited this little place for a quick bite end up having a fantastic surprise the afternoon tea was amazing and the girl that serve us Senta ( I think ) is fantastic. Thank you I will definitely come back soon

Detenido en para el almuerzo y tan contentos que hicimos! La comida era deliciosa y una gran variedad en el menú. Pedimos la ensalada, un plato de pollo chaser a la parrilla y un risotto. No tuvimos tiempo de pedir un postre, pero la selección de pastelerías parecía divino.

The location is fantastic so they are always busy with tourist specially high tea. The service staff is below average as to what they should considering the top location opposite Ritz. Wish the owners do so Or else will loose locals like myself

Es gibt nichts zu erwähnen was positiv war. Das Essen ist schlecht: Chicken trocken ohne jeden Geschmack, Spaghetti verkocht mit Tomatensauce, welche ebenfalls ohne Geschmack war. Die Tische sind so klein, dass zwei Teller ganz knapp Platz finden. Das Essen wird zum Sport.Preis/Leistung: ungenügendFazit: Auslassen !

Llegamos en San Valentín Noche y esperé 30 minutos para ser servido. El personal nos pidieron dos veces para su atención. Al final tuve que recurrir a preguntar en voz alta si alguien estaba sirviendo.

After a visit to the RA this is a few steps away and good for food and drink at anytime of day or evening, service always swift and polite, quality and quantity good value, haven't yet left enough space for pudding..................but we're working on it.

Unexpectedly good food. I have been meaning to visit here for a while. Went in for a coffee and ended up having a meal. Quality of feed was excellent and reminded me of a gelato place in Rome.

Opposite the Ritz. Nice decor. Good selection of food & drinks. We had tea & cakes. Delicious cakes & many on display.

Tiene unas tortas muy ricas a la vista, pero en la realidad son unas tortas más.La atención ha sido buena y el cafe muy rico.

Ett spontanbesök när vi passerade. Vi tog afternoon Tea som jag tycker var prisvärd. 3 olika sorters sandwiches, 2 sorters scones med sylt och creme cheese samt 4 sorters kakor. Vi orkade långt ifrån att äta upp allt.

Goed gebak, aanrader: millefeuille. Het is alleen ook heel druk en aan de prijs. Vriendelijke bediening en goede ligging.

Food was very underwhelming (chips is actually crisps - we are not in America people) and the front of house spent a lot of time standing outside trying to drum up business. This meant the door was open and it made it very uncomfortable and cold. There are much better places to go nearby such as Aubaine on Dover Street.

We popped in here for a quick meal before an event. We were in a bit of a hurry but the service was good and efficient.

Had lunch here with my husband. I had a salmon Caesar salad, my husband had a pasta dish. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal and so did my partner. Good value for money in an expensive area and good quality too! Staff a bit laid back but pleasant. Certainly would recommend trying it for lunch.

Breakfast was amazing. Croque Monsieur is a must try. Service was good. Very nice and elegant place. Highly recommended

Some easily remedied aspects, and this place would be excellent. Although we were shown to a table reasonably promptly in spite of a crowded restaurant, one of the arms on my wife's chair was broken and I received a sliver off the arm of my chair! Wife's chair was replaced quickly, but I didn't mention the sliver from mine. Orders were taken and served in good time, although they were quite busy. My wife's spinach and cheese ravioli with fresh tomato sauce and my seafood salad were both very good, and nicely presented. Only one fault: the mango in my seafood salad was unripe and barely edible. When the waitress asked if everything was alright, I explained about the mango but don't think she understood me. I explained again to the head waitress, and she apologised and offered me a free coffee.Our desserts of lemon cheesecake and black forest gateaux were delicious. I was approached again by the head waitress, who asked if everything was okay, "apart from the hard mango". I said yes. A shame about the mango and the chairs, as the food here is actually bordering on excellent; and we had no trouble with the service in spite of the many diners also present.

Nous avons mangé des pâtes, et risotto. Ambiance chaleureuse mais peu reposante Var ambiance brasserie. Le personnel était très sympa et helpful. Moment agréable.

Sadly, the service was terrible. Many diners asking for water or other items, were simply ignored. I asked for my bill, it just never came, it is like all the staff had started that day with no training, or training on the job. Simply no plan or instruction from those in charge.The food actually was really good but the service is all I actually remember as it was terrible!

Don't bother. Useless staff, unbelievably bland food.Waited forever for our tea to arrive. Then on the way out our umbrellas had been taken by somebody, Did they care - NO. Did the empathise - NO. Just about anyplace would be better. Go to Concerto along the road. I am not a fan of there either but it is better than this place.

After being refused entry to the Ritz bar we went here for a quick celebratory drink and enjoyed a warm welcome and quick service. The cocktails were delicious.

Le petit déjeuner est décevant, qualité très correct (convenable, enfin on peut trouver beaucoup mieux à Londres) et le café double n'en est pas un du tout, pourtant vendu très cher...

Service tres agréable, polit, souriant et attentionné. Les gâteaux sont excellents et le cadre tres cosi. Les tarifs sont très raisonnable.

Min sambo och jag besökte denna innan vi åkte till Heathrow 23/10, och vi bestämde oss för afternoon tea. Jättegott och personalen var rappa och uppmärksamma, och det sa jag till dem och förhoppningsvis så blev de glada.

Had breakfast here and I can't fault the quality as it was excellent.But I thought staff were quite rude and seemed to want to serve business people first before tourists.Example being that we waited 10 minutes on our coffee and tea being brought 10 feet from bar area to our table while staff hurried around fussing over suited gents.Won't be back!

This is a cute little cafe with a great location with mediocre food and terrible service. Every time we questioned anything on the menu, they acted aggravated. Then we ordered an item which they did not bring. Because we were having such difficulty, we didn't press the issue. When we asked them to take the item off the bill, the waitress rolled her eyes which was seemingly backwards. It was use that should have been annoyed. What we ordered was a bread basket because the meal does not come with bread. They should have taken this off without question and avoided the snide facial expressions altogether.

Le restaurant profite d'être en face du Ritz pour faire croire qu'il est bon. Le service est vraiment moyen. On reçoit un café latte froid qu'un client précédent avait dû décommander et on nous le réchauffe en faisant la moue. On commande des plats et on demande du pain qui nous arrive à la fin du repas. Le contenu de l'assiette est de qualité moyenne, c'est pas cuisiné et surement peu de produits frais et de qualité.

love this bistro/cafe. They do a very decadent Croque Monsiour and Champignon, very good for a hangover. Drinks are a little pricey (£3.30 for a cuppa) but for London the food is decent value. Much prefer to go here than a chain coffee bar,

We stayed in a nearby hotel but went here for breakfast. The breakfast menu was very good and quite reasonable if you ate from the set breakfast. I had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon which was delicious. Lunch there was good too. Thre is a nice ambiance even if the staff are not overly friendly. They sell some delicious looking pastries.

Absolutely delicious .I had the buffalo mozzarella tomato salad, with olives and bread....Very filling.Great Service... Cute little spot.

O Café de Pierre é um lugar gostoso de se estar, muito elegante, atmosfera aconchegante, comida boa e bem feita, cardápio variado e bem elaborado, tudo tratado com muito esmero e carinho! Voltaria ao Pierre todas as vezes que estivesse em Londres!

We dined here twice during our stay in Mayfair. The food is good, and the prices are fair. Service was attentive. We dined at 10:30pm, and the kitchen was still open...that was a real bonus

I don't want to give this establishment 2 stars as cleanliness, location and the lovely decor of this Café was 3-4 star, service was fairly good I give 3 star for service. The waitresses worked very hard but sadly there was one Waiter with a very serious face and an 'above himself attitude' but I didn't have any problems with him it just seemed very noticeable and uncomfortable amongst the hard working waitresses as he strutted between the tables. Anyway, where they lost their 3 Stars and let themselves down was to pure greed. Upon ordering an Appletiser Drink for my Son, two Pastries and one Pot of Tea for myself I asked the waitress politely for 2 teabags in my Teapot rather than one, I'm a massive tea drinker and I like a good strong brew as do most Brits and most Cafés to be honest use rather 'wishy washy' teabags even supposed elegant Cafés.. she noted this down on her order pad, but, 5 minutes later the waitress returned and said to have a second teabag I would be charged the price for '2 Pots of Tea' ... I confirmed a pot of tea was £3.50 and therefore I would expect a bill for £7 for just for my tea alone, she confirmed this as correct. I couldn't help but laugh and said it was ridiculous, not blaming the waitress as she is only the messenger from whomever had refused an extra teabag, I politely refused to pay for a second teabag at £3.50 and said I'd suffice with just the one... Let's be honest here...£3.50 for a teabag is greedy and shocking... I politely mentioned to the embarrassed waitress that I would note this on a TripAdvisor review, 5 minutes later our drinks and pastries came out and she said I now have an extra teabag at no extra cost for which I thanked her. It left me shocked, had I not mentioned I was going to write a review I would have only been given the one teabag. My guess was right, the two teabags made a delightful tea to my liking, the tea was a lovely flavour and not a cheap teabag but not the most expensive either. One teabag would have been on the weaker side. The biggest joke was the teapot .. It was miniature!! I only just got one full cup... so imagine if I'd have had paid £7 for the tiniest Teapot ever and to have gotten just one cup from it... Yet I had a jug of milk with enough milk to make 2-3 cups of tea had the teapot been larger. So this Café wastes milk but charge extortionate amounts for a mere teabag. They even stuck a £2 service charge on my bill which I didn't pay as we were only in the Café 20-25 minutes seriously £2 on top of an already £13.50 bill which I barely got a cup of tea from and an Appletiser with two pastries!!! I find service charges daylight robbery the best of times so words fail me today that a Café can charge this. I don't mind tipping hard working staff but to try and charge for a 20 minute sit down at £2 plus the bill, plus £3.50 for a teabag had I agreed originally to pay for it, plus tips, It would have brought it to £19 without the tips... no no no.. won't return and think carefully if you do try this jumped up Café if you need an extra teabag bring your own you will need it!!!!!

Four of us called in here for coffee and cake. Coffee very good and hot.Two of the danish pastries were stale. They were hard and tough. Called over the waitress who insisted they were freshly baked each day. I don't dispute that but these were obviously left over from the day before. We know a stale cake when we taste one! She kept insisting they were fresh and refused to taste them. Eventually the manageress came over and replaced them, at no cost.We got there eventually but it was a struggle.

So enjoyed my seafood salad lunch here that I thought it was worth another mention, not bad value for London as well. Very conveniently situated for visiting the Royal Academy.

Met here with a colleague today, breakfast fairly priced for where we are, good coffee but the place is totally useless as a business meeting venue as it doesn't have wifi.

Although we are vegetarians, we had a beautiful meal at the Cafe de Pierre, they made a special salad for us with seasonal vegetables and cheeses. Yammie indeed. Nice atmosphere, some interesting talks we had over the years we visited, always someone there we know from somewhere and like us, in the midst of life and all that is important. Cafe de Pierres staff go out of their ways to make your visit very comfortable and happy. We shall be back:)

We stopped at Cafe de Pierre for a pot of tea one afternoon, before returning to our hotel. The Cafe is quite average and the service was only just OK. We ordered a pot of tea for two and two diet Cokes. They brought everything to our table quite quickly, but they forgot to put tea bags in the pot. When we pointed this out, the waitress looked like she didn't believe us and it was only when she brought the teabags back that she apologised. We put the tea bags in and made our own tea, which was a good cup and refreshing. I wouldn't bother going to the Cafe again, though.

I went for the first time to Cafe de Pierre 12th of June for an afternoon tea for ca friend . We had Mille Feuille and Strawberry Gateaux and be honest they were amazing but what impressed me has bern the Tea Henger Lemon Grass was so good I never had a tasty tea like that one before. Anyway we have been serve by Iulian really professional and nice person . I back to Cafe Pierre 18 th of June to buy a cake to go to my friend 's house for dinner . I don't remember the name Silvan? ?? Anyway is a short girl from Naples and she suggest me this cake (see pic ) Vanilla and chocolate Mousse . My friends are still talking about this cake has been a big success ! Thank you very much indeed
