In central London near SH museum tiny place with wide selections of baguettes and paninis with some hot food and breakfast No not a swish place but very cheap interesting food served by lovely unassuming people. Would go again for breakfast

I'm not gonna waste time on this place. Food is beyond poor, ordered fish and chips, got a few chips and what I could only assume was a frozen, breaded bit of fish. During our visit a couple asked for some vinegar, the bottle was laced with flies, don't the staff have even the basic of common sense? I would have walked out after seeing that. Toilets were disgusting, it's like they have never been looked at. Without a doubt this place is the worst I've ever had the misfortune of eating in. If zero stars were an option that is what I would give.

It's a time warp. It feels like it's from the 70s. The loo has a pull chain. There are cheesy murals of illustrations from the Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. I've never eaten anything here that's blown my mind (but everything has been delicious). Yet I have been coming back for 15 years for these reasons: 1.) You can rely on getting a good sandwich for a very reasonable price. 2.) It is very charming to enjoy the view of 221B right across the road. 3.) It's laid back and sort of cozy in its way - maybe that's just nostalgia and familiarity working for me but -- 4.) If you don't fancy the environs you can just walk to the end of the block and eat your sandwich in beautiful Regent's Park. That's a great lunch treat on the cheap if you can outrun the squirrels. I love this place. I'll always go here.

We visited this café as it was across the road from the Sherlock Holmes museum we were stopping at that morning. The café was busy when we arrived, so were told that there was seating downstairs. 'Downstairs' was a small basement type area next to the kitchen that had a few tables and chairs stuck in and looked like it hadn't had a clean in a while (the tables were grubby and just as we tucked in to eat I noticed hair on the table). We were also sat next to the toilet and could hear people pee through the thin walls... Anyway. We did get our food and drink quickly, though we couldn't use the sauce bottles as they were dirty and clogged up so nothing would come out. The food was ok and the cups of tea were nice. The food was reasonably priced for Central London, but the customer service was minimal. It was ok as a stop gap but I wouldn't recommend or go here again.

We came in London for 7 days and this "restaurant" (if we could told that a restaurant!) is our worst experience! A very dirty place, disgusting food (I chose a croque madame and I'm sure it was frozen food). And at the end, the owner tried to rob us (we count before go paying: 6 pounds) and he asked us 7 pounds! He tried to abuse because he saw that we were tourists! It's just shameful!!!!! Don't go at this place it's an advice!

Amazing service from Sonny especially. The staff are all very attractive, but all have personality, unlike luke KuBar. The staff here are amazing, even security. Will definitely return. Ku Bar beware, your customers are coming here

Had taken my family who were visiting from Peterborough and bought cod for 2, a portion of chips and mushy peas . The cod reeked of ammonia and had to throw it in the bin. My family were very dissappointed. My kitchen smelt of old fish for hours. I wanted this to be my new go to place, such a shame.

We visited on a very busy Saturday night - bouncers were quick to de-escalate a potential situation in a calm way which was great to see. Also barmaid Lucy needs a special mention for such great customer service!

Myself and a couple of friends visited this venue on a Wednesday night and had a good time, toward the end of the night myself and my friends decided to leave the venue and go home. As we left my friend told me he had left his jacket inside so I went back in to retrieve it, as I exited the premises a member of staff (who I now assume to have been a manager) grabbed the back of my jacket and very forcefully pulled me back inside (bearing in mind that i am only 5ft and this guy was a lot bigger than myself). By the force that this guy had used, I had assumed it was a drunk customer trying to grab me, so when I turned around and asked him to let go of me he went ‘no, what the **** are you doing?!’ And continued to aggressively yell at me while not letting go of me.Turns out he thought I was taking a random jacket. Now, I completely understand that he was making sure the jacket was not being stolen, however the way in which he dealt with the situation was very unnecessary, unprofessional and frightening. If he had came out and tapped me on the shoulder and asked me why I was taking the jacket, instead of forcefully pulling me about unnecessarily, it could have been more easily resolved.
