The best Apple & Rhubarb crumble I've ever had!

Can only bring myself to write about our experience now that I have calmed down and processed what happened... Booked a family meal for 12, we were commemorating the 1st anniversary of my father's death in a nearby church, the Windsor seemed like a nice place to raise a glass to him. Booked a week in advance. Was contacted 4 days before our Sunday 1230 booking to confirm menu choices for the day... all confirmed. Arrived on the day right on time following church service and the bar was completely empty, got our drinks order in and sat down at our reserved table with some nibbles, agreed woth bar staff that our food should follow shortly (10mins). It all went wrong from here... Waiited for food for first plates of food for approx 50mins. A kids portion roast. Nothing came out for a further 25mins. Then 2 plates of roast chicken (cold) and after another 20 mins 2 plates of roast beef. Complaining to the manager after the first hour, apparently it wasn't the usual chef... i would question if there was any chef. Our orders were simply a single roast dinner course per person. Bog standard carvery operation that any pub with a kitchen should be able to churn out, especially when we are pretty much the only customers in the pub. We eventually left nearly 2 hours after arrival and only 5 of the party had been fed. Manager charged for all plates that were served and comp'ed a round of drinks. Only two of us were drinking so wasn't an expensive round. I still ended paying £187.50 for 5 roast dinners and a few drinks and had to stop off for food on the way home. Such a shame as the pub has great potential, but I don't know whether to be angry or sad about the experience. Angry as I feel like I was politely robbed and sad because it was supposed to be a day where we remembered my dear Dad but were instead left in such an awkward situation for me and my guests. Overall though, I think I'm still in shock to be honest that there are places running such a woeful operation and they can get away with it.

Food was really delicious, I ordered the vegan roast. Best vegan roast I’ve had eating out. The service was really good and friendly staff. Visited with my husband, mum and mother in law for Mother’s Day and everyone was really impressed.

We started with a nice drink and were enjoying the place. When we went back up and asked for a Southern Comfort, the big bearded barman sneered at us like we’d personally offended him. He made my partner feel really small and kept shaking his head and pulling faces for everyone to see — it was rude, unnecessary, and completely unprofessional. I cancelled the drinks and we went elsewhere. I regret not calling him out on it there and then, but this review will have to do. Lovely pub, great setting — ruined by a barman with a bad attitude.

A great old pub with a top tier whisky selection, perfect gin and tonic, and a super friendly Landlady. Recommended.

Most reviews here are way out of date. It is a useful refuge prior to a concert but has no food and limited anything. You are welcome to bring in purchases from the other outlets at Barbican.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and private dining area for our guests. The staff were very accommodating, friendly and attentive. The food was really good; the only reason I'm giving one less star for the food is that it was slightly cold upon arrival, but quality overall was excellent!

Very cute little pub in the heart of soho

Lo que hizo que esta visita fuera memorable - y una experiencia que nunca se repetirá no fue la comida promedio por debajo - sino el extraordinario personal poco empático. Llegamos al final de la última victoria de Inglaterra - suspiro contra Francia en las 6 Naciones. En cuestión de minutos, el rugby fue reemplazado por una música espantosa reproducida a un volumen tal que el Apple Watch de un amigo no dejaba de sonar advirtiendo sobre niveles de sonido potencialmente dañinos. Tratar de mantener una conversación fue difícil, por decir lo menos. ¿Por qué los pubs insisten en someter a sus clientes a este tipo de tortura? Si hubieras hecho una encuesta de paja, dudo seriamente que alguno de los clientes estuviera disfrutando activamente de la música y puedes estar seguro de que la mayoría habría sido mucho más feliz sin ella. Una sugerencia común es que es en beneficio del personal del bar, pero dudo que disfruten de la destrucción auditiva más que nadie. Otra teoría es que si no puedes mantener una conversación, tiendes a beber más. En ese caso, la práctica no es ética y debería ser ilegal. En cualquier caso, es una gran pena que una visita a un pub clásico de Londres con algunas cervezas decentes tuvo que ser arruinado por esta raqueta infernal.

Tomamos cócteles que fueron los mejores que he tomado. Estos fueron hechos por Abhi - casi no quiero decirles ya que estamos regresando hoy y quiero conseguir una mesa! Buena comida también - ambiente encantador - Podía escuchar la conversación de mis amigos.

Pub encantador con interior antiguo. El amable y acogedor personal recuerda lo que beben los clientes habituales: ¡es increíble! Bueno para una tranquila copa de vino durante el fin de semana. Las flores hacen que el pub sea muy atractivo y diferente.
