Not the best experience ever, but my mistake for going on a Saturday. There were about 4 of us there, with a very bored barman. No food, thats only monday to Friday, and no hot drinks. No atmosphere or buzz, I just dont know why they bothered opening at all.

We came here because it’s near my daughter’s flat that she is renting. We are visiting from the US, and wanted our family to enjoy an authentic pub experience. It did not let us down. Even though we came during a busy time we were able to find an area at the bar that handled six of us. We each chose our libation and settled in for lively discussion! It was great fun! The bar had a positive feel with lots of happy customers. We weren’t rushed, and were made to feel at home! It was a fun way to spend a couple of hours!

We went there for our Xmas drinks. It was a chilled environment, friendly staff, nice decorations , very welcoming

My friend and I had just flown into London for the first time and we left our accommodation to go find dinner. We stumbled across this place. We though it looked cute, so we walked in and it was unbelievably awkward. Everyone just went quite and looked at us, including the bar staff. I thought that was weird considering we are customers and instead of greeting us they just stared. Anyway I went up to them and asked if we could sit at a table. The girl told me to come and order at the counter, which is fine. After sitting down I went up a second time to ask for a menu and the girl told me they only serve food from Monday-Friday. We then decided to leave.

Terrible bar-staff. I had to get their attention twice even though I was the only one being served. Both looked completely bored and disinterested. Very off putting. get off your phone! or get a different job.

due to our fellow reviewers and the fact that it was very close to the hotel we went for lunch. It smells like a thai restaurant.Ok due to the Thai food that was good.the waitresses don't know anything about beer.I asked what to taste because i haven't tasted the local drafts and they didn't know either, they haven't tasted them either !!! you cannot tell a customer this. Improvise or better get info about the products you sell. Then i asked for an ENGLISH bottled beer and they gave me a THAILAND beer.Toilets were awful too. And last but not least, every time you want something you have to get to the bar. Ok i accept it, but separate bills for the drinks and the food, how inconvinient this is? Sorry cannot reccomend it.

Popped by tonight for a drink with a friend of mine - quite random choice tbh as the pub is around the corner from our AirBnB. First challenge for the bartender (was his second day!) was to mix us Pimm's because my friend is totally into it. We then went outside and I had a cigarette. When I suddenly felt super dizzy and went back inside for the bathroom I lost orientation and bumped into the wall. The bartender and his colleague were immediately with me, made me sit down, got me a glass of water and were really worried about me, even asking if I knew the guy that was with me. Super caring! Thanks for that, guys! And the Pimm's was great btw ;)

The barmaid spoke to me as if I were a naughty child just for approaching the door before opening time. I shan't visit again.

I've drank in this establishment many a time, always get good beer and an ale but not getting service before 11 by Paula was dissapointing! After everyone else just got served!

Visited with friends for a couple of beers - good choice and all very tasty. Plenty of atmosphere as it's quite small, but very good.

Visité a Masons Arms el viernes 8 de marzo para una reunión con un colega. Bonita botella de Malbec y un par de sándwiches, de buena calidad. Como era un viernes a mediodía, estaba ocupado, como se esperaba, con los trabajadores de oficina. El pub tenía un buen ambiente, limpio y agradable, baños bien para un pub del West End.

We visited after lunch for a few beers. We had a great time - very welcoming staff and an interesting clientele. The Mad Goose was in fabulous condition and was a joy to drink

The spicy wings are a delight any time of day, as are the staff who work very hard and look great. .

Cuando estábamos a punto de partir, nos preguntó de dónde éramos y dijimos que éramos de Grecia. Have to say a nice little boozer, just the sort I like when in London, not overly busy when we all stopped by (Wednesday Night) Plenty of choice for drinks (draught) and plenty of room for seating too so a good all round place :)

Been here a few times and each one has been spectacular! Beautiful pub inside and out! Came today bank holiday Monday and it was very quiet but after it had a few more customers! Lovely pub with 2,lovely barmaids.. We will be back 😁

As previously mentioned our first port of call when in this part of London. The owner is a true gentleman very helpful and the lovely Thai lady who takes your order and delivers your food is a delight so very friendly and remembers you. Again we had delicious food the pub was packed fantastic atmosphere spotlessly clean, wish we were there to tonight to enjoy the Football Semi final but sadly on our way home. Well done to all at The Masons and good luck to England let’s hope it’s also coming home xxx

I managed to take a few days break in May to visit London . I was looking for a traditional pub and found The Masons Arms and was not disappointed . First of all the pub had some excellent traditional beers and ales. There was some great food leaving the kitchen while I enjoyed my drink a fine larger. The atmosphere was electric and the pub had a happy feel to it. To add to this was a fine picture of Winston Churchill which took pride of place on the wall, as a political activist I found this quite appealing and reminded me of the sentimental days of the past.

Cada vez que visita Londres nos dirigimos a los masones para un delicioso almuerzo tailandés. Es muy razonable y la comida es excepcional. El pub en sí es viejo y realmente la cerveza y cervezas excelentes. Se llena con el personal de la vecina de Harley Street y todos los negocios de la medicina, que muestra lo bueno que es como siempre lleno, el personal es tan amable verdaderamente encantador.

Took a pew next to the fire & Winston Churchill around half eight, cracking pub, those we spoke too around us where all friendly locals, the Doom Bar was good, our round of 2 pints & spirits & mixer £20, stayed & watched the Joshua v Parker fight, did not leave until gone midnight.

We had a great Thai meal in this excellent traditional public house. The interior preserved for prosperity with a welcoming feel. A good range of ales, lagers etc... This very busy and lively pub is a must do for any visitor or local business crowd.

If you’re reading this, chances are you are, or you’re going to be, a tourist, though we didn’t read anything before hand about this place, and we were tourists. Long story short, this is a pub, and your margin of error when choosing among pubs here is minimal; in London, a pub is a pub is almost a pub -- that’s how marginal. But to make the story are little less short, I’ll suggest this pub because of the cover picture you saw. As we were on the Tube passing Devonshire St. at about 17:15, the sight of the window boxes -- not the mostly blue-suited crowd you see spilling out of many similar establishments around this time -- was enough to get us to hit the stop button, get off at the next stop and backtrack straight to the pumps (aka the tepid, flat beer taps). Half way through our ales we were already in a conversation with some locals -- you’ll be remiss if you fail to experience this, even if they speak to you in only sarcastic jibes. Now I’ll make short our history with these blokes: going away party; haka renditions; rounds of Gin and Tonics; a lost man and his sad, helpless dog; tequila and apple juice. How we felt leaving that place? Less touristy.

Lovely tradition pub. Fabulous Pimms and lemonade. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend for a quick or long drink

Mi dios nunca me he encontrado tan arrogante personal del bar! Eran groseros y condescendiente, incluso hasta el punto de que teníamos un amigo embarazada que simplemente preguntó qué bebidas alcohólicas sólo sirvieron para ser despreciada y tratada como ciudadano de segunda clase. Horrible. Mi consejo sería que gastar su dinero en otro lugar!

 I have been last Thursday lunch time at the Masons. The food was delicious and the staff was very helpful at finding a place to accommodate my party group. The only problem I encountered was when I was at the queue and saw two girls shouting at the poor Thai girl that was taking food orders. They seemed to be trying to complain about their food in a very racist manner. Later, a costumer tried to intervene just to be told by those young costumers to mind his own business in an inappropriate manner. I heard the food lady saying I would change your food but you have to pay for it as you have already touched this one. The young birthday girl (banner saying 18th today) was saying how not good the staff were and that they were their costumers so therefore they should do what they were told. Manager staff intervened by saying she is prepared to change the food but not to be insulted. Young girl replied in an offensive manner.Love The Masons but I feel sorry for the staff. Therefore, I decided to make this review. As a costumer, I feel costumer service staff could never be right, not matter how hard they try. As for me, would be coming back for my lovely phad thai. I would highly recommend this place. Go and experience yourself

I absolutely love this place. I find myself coming back for the food and the super friendly and welcoming staff who never fail to disappoint. As someone from Thai heritage, the food is fantastic and one of the very few places in London I can turn to for a promising Thai meal! Cannot recommend this place enough - stress free service and great for casual drinks/dinner.

To say this meal was an abomination would be an understatement. As a party of 12 we went to celebrate an 18th birthday of one of the girls in the office. The staff were obscenely rude; when trying to return a plate of food for being inedible, one of the girls was screamed at and told to eat her food and shut up complaining. 50% of the food on the table was left for being too cold, overcooked or tasteless.I would never recommend this 'restaurant', unless you are the type of person to enjoys unnecessary confrontation and public humiliation.Kind regards,Shocked, disappointed and disgusted customer

Rude staff, wouldn't take back my food when it was disgusting after i had paid. Starting shouting at my friend. we have a table for 11 people and not one was happy or could eat the food. Do not go here.

We had booked a table for 12 people for an 18th birthday lunch surprise.When we arrived at the place, we ordered our food and asked if we could have minor changes to our meal. (swap one starter for another) The woman refused and said that you can't swap anything on the platter and take the meal as it's served, which at first seemed fair enough, so we continued. Afterwards, myself and a few of the other girls had ordered the thai platter, and one of the girls ordered a red thai curry, we were all raving and excited about the meal. However as soon as the food arrived, we were presented with rubbery fishcakes, calamari that had been burnt to a char and tasted like a chewy onion ring, and the thai red curry was watered down and tasted like chicken drowned in dishwater.We were so dissapointed in the meal and the service, as we had heard nothing but good things about this place and the Thai food, which did not deliver or meet anyone's standards.One of the girls tried to ask if she could change her choice of meal, but was greeted with a 'eat it or leave it' reply.On top of all this, the birthday girl went down to talk to the manager and the manager screamed in her face.I have never experienced an awful service like this. I would not recommend this to anyone, not even my worst enemy (that's how awful it was)AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!"

Every Friday without fail if we remember to book, we will be at the Mason's Arms with our pint of beer and no 22. The food is satisfying and consistent. Brilliant service. see you soon

Passeando até o hotel, me deparei com o The Masons Arms, é um Pub bem tradicional Inglês, para quem quer conhecer a tradição inglesa da cerveja e tomar um bom pint, é bem válido.

Great place to eat. The food is superb and is as authentic as going to Asia. Great service and the kitchen is run by a lovely Thai lady called Nok. The bar is fantastic as its an old English Pub which has some of the cheeriest bar staff I've ever met. It is pretty awesome to stand outside in the summer. Can't recommend it highly enough!

we dropped by as we were out walking for lunch. very friendly bar staff and lovely lady taking food orders. we both had pad thai and agree it was maybe the best we ever had. typical pub interior but beautiful outside. we will be back!

This pub serves great Thai food. I work locally and come here for lunch regularly. the staff are always friendly. The menu is a very standard Thai menu but the food is always fresh and tastes great. If you are coming on a Thursday or Friday lunchtime then get there early to bag a table downstairs.

Met up with a friend who was in town for the evening. Nice small pub atmosphere, smiley bar staff. We sat at a high table on comfy bar stools and had the Mason's Arms Gold which was fantastic all night. One downside is all other draught were IPAs, lagers or ciders. Food choices are definitely weighted towards the oriental, but my Singapore Noodles were marvellous - light, fresh and tasty.

The place is a typical victorian gin palace that has been made open plan. The 2 pale ales that I tried were interesting, and the prices about normal for the west wnd.At lunchtime there are lots of locals eating the Thai food, some I think on a very regular daily basis, and the odd tourist couples. I can recommend the Jungle curry, which is quite hot, and the Phad Ped ( sea food ) .There is a function room upstairs which is very popular, and toilets upstairs as well which are very clean. The only criticism I have is that they were a bit too keen to take the dishes away, my friend just took her eye off the ball fora few seconds and the plate was gone.About 10 minutes walk fron Oxford Circus, well worth the effort.

Nice old pub with some great reals ales and an amazingly varied menu - British, Thai, and Asian. The food is good, and the atmosphere in the pub is very good also

Lots of friendly regulars from all walks of life who along with the management and staff make this a warm welcoming place to visit .The food was a huge but pleasant surprise ... Authentic Thai cuisine that really is Thai !! Visited this place on Christmas Day 2015 !! Brilliant atmosphere !

Vi ville gerne opleve en pub frokost og det må man sige vi gjorde her. Vi bestilte en dele talleken og fik et stort fad ind med fish and chips og fiskeburger og battered blæksprutter. Det hele smagte rigtig godt. Fisken var god og saftig. Et dejligt sted at indtage frokosten.

Excellent service, (many pubs are not so good), food looked great (having seen it being served will give it a try next time), a really good atmosphere, and a well placed screen for mid week football. Great meeting place about a 100 yards from Great Portland Street tube

Always a great atmosphere, superb food and fun staff. It gets busy but, once you know when to get in early, it all works out perfectly. Vanessa and Fernanda are great and Alistair as well - are really good. Worth popping in for a visit.

Friendly staff and locals. We go there often midweek when we don't feel like cooking. The Thai food offered is really good and they have a nice variety of beers (lagers and ales) on tap. Beautiful in the season when all the flower baskets on the exterior are in full bloom. Very popular when the weather is nice for folks to stand/sit outside and socialise. We really like it!

We have visited this venue twice. Both times the comment was that the drinks are expensive (even for London) in what is basically a posh pub. The first time the service was excellent but on our second visit the service was poor and the place noisy. A vodka & tonic and half a pint of lager came to £20 ($30).There are better value "pubs" in Marylebone.

I wouldn't come back for the food. The curry dish I had was very much pre-made. Maybe you should expect that in a pub, but I've been to pubs serving fresh Thai food. Service, the beer and the ambience is however very good. So I would very much like to drop in just for a drink. Before or after I went to dinner somewhere.

Would recommend here. I had a rest good meal, vegetarian green Thai curry. It tasted great and had so any different fresh veggies in. Relaxed atmosphere, not too expensive and fast enough service for a lunch break.

Nice pub in a good location - catches the sun late on but as with a lot of London pubs you can get penned in when stood outside.The Thai food is surprisingly good for an otherwise English looking pub.

Booked a table for six today and the service was chaotic and disorganized. I was the first person in the group to place my order which was a prawn Phad Thai. Unfortunately I never got to taste it. Forty minutes into the service after everyone else at the table had been served and had finished eating my food still hadn't been delivered to me. In the end I had to request a refund. When leaving I asked to speak to the manager and was told that it was they're policy to cook the quicker dishes first!! and my dish was complicated. I've never had to wait 40 minute for a prawn Phad Thai before. I will not be going there again or recommending the place.

Amazing family dinner! Loved that it's a traditional pub, but with an amazing menu with Thai food included! I had Pad Thai noodles, fried rice and my husband and mother in law had traditional pub food. Fish and Chips and Steak and Chips. Definitely will come back to this pub again!

Interesting corner building with loads of hanging backers outside hides a traditional pub with a good range of around 10 draught beers including about 4 on hand pumps. Good spot for a rest and recuperate stop.

The Thai food here is so damn delicious. Don't overlook that just because its being served in a pub, the food here taste much more authentic than most fancy Thai restaurants, but with fairer prices. The Phad Thai here is my favourite! Everything always tastes so fresh like I'm back in the streets of Bangkok. Highly recommended for those looking to tuck into some REAL Thai food. They're open for lunch and dinner, but the kitchen closes at around 8.30pm. Vibrant atmosphere also, great place to enjoy a glass of wine after work.

I do not normally put pub reviews on TA, I prefer to use Pubs Galore, but in this case I will make a exception as along with the Stag just down the road, these are the only two decent pubs in this area behind the BBC.The Masons is a traditional London Boozer with a couple of decent ales on the bar. It gets rammed at 5pm when all of the offices chuck out and stays busy till 9 or 10. Quite often when I have been down, it has been shut at weekends, I suspect they make enough money during the week?Well worth popping in for a pint if you are in the area.

We were doing a conference nearby and this was a great "British Pub" to meet the team in before setting up. We had drink and food. the only downside is the food does not start until 12:00 but we could pre-order and the kitchen staff were up and running at 12:01. the food we had was British pub food, good food, good portions and reasonable price. We did not try the Thai food. Lot of character in the place. There were 8 of us and we were OK on two tables in the bar. However we could have used the room on the upper floor which was empty of people at the time. I intend to use this pub again for lunches and pre set up meets. Only down side was when we had finished at 17:30 and came back the place was packed :-(

Stumbled upon this amazing little pub after walking out of another eatery due to appalling service....they actually did us a favour as The Masons Arms has the relaxed and friendly pub vibe combined with great Thai food. Highly recommend and will be returning on my next London visit.

Just popped across road from 2 Devonshire apartments while my wife studied for her exams the next day. Busy little pub friendly staff and believe it or not struck up a football related conversation with three Geordies. Great pint of As palls cyder really good pub, looks to be a good bet for tourists to visit. You won't go wrong here Cheers

a due passi dal nostro hotel, è stato il nostro rifugio per i pochi giorni in cui abbiamo soggiornato in Regents.ottima birra, anche un tipo esclusivo con tanto di nome del locale, spillato alla vecchia maniera, di gusto amarognolo e freschissima.pieno di gente del quartiere, un poco più calmo solo la domenica mattina, glil altri giorni frequentato e divertente.un angolo per una sosta piacevole.

Una birreria tipica inglese.. Non c'erano turisti ma tantissimi gruppi di amici che bevono birra. Hanno tantissime scelte di birra, rossa, bionda, nera, Guinness.. Prezzo uguale alle altre birrerie che ci sono a Londra
