We searched online for a South African themed pub and Three Ways Country Pub came up as being closest to us although it was a 90 minute drive away. After arriving at the pub, the owner Basie introduced himself to us and we were made to feel welcome on our first visit to this pub. Basie's wife Ellie also introduced herself and what was noticeable was how the the owners seemed to know almost everyone who entered the pub as well. Being our first time, I ordered their Beef Potjie and my wife ordered the Pork and Prawn Potjie with my kid ordering a pizza. The portion sizes of the food was a lot larger than what we had expected and I only have positive things to say about how good the Potjie meals tasted. The food arrived hot and delicious. Other positives was the wood fired heater in the bar which added to the atmosphere, as well as the beer costing a lot cheaper compared to prices in the town we live in. I can't recommend Three Ways enough and hope to visit again soon to try their mixed grill meat dish!

NOW PERMANENTLY CLOSED :-( The Plough at Rede is one of Suffolks best kept secrets. A thatched pub with oak beams, an open fire, all tucked away in the tiny hamlet of Rede. Stunning location, fabulous atmosphere with a warm welcome and the best food for miles around. Brian and Joyce have been running the Plough for over 30 years with customers returning time and time again. Ide give 100 stars if I could.

Our first visit to 1921 & certainly won’t be the last - from a friendly welcome greeting offering to take costs, to knowledgeable staff knowing the menu, the most wonderful food & excellent service. All round a perfect evening & the restaurant to go to for a special occasion. The fact that by 8pm on Saturday evening all tables were taken speaks for itself!

My partner & I booked for a Sunday lunch. Everything we ordered was absolutely devine. Partner had Mushroom soup to start, I had pate. Both had a Beef roast dinner. Then we both had Sticky toffee pudding. I can honestly say it’s the best we’ve eaten. We wouldn’t hesitate to return if in the area again.

We went there to celebrate 2 birthdays and regretted it It seems like the waiter was avoiding us, food was average. The ordered the salmon taglaitelle and thought it would be a piece of Salmon but it was few pieces of salmon mixed in the pasta. Ordered beef but it was dry with no sauce. We only ate half of our food and asked the waiter if we can have the left over in boxes he said yes and then threw everything in the bin. I asked for a coffee, never got it but it was counted on the bill. Ordered ice cream as it was in the children meal, at the end it was counted as separate adults ice cream And this is just to name a few negative points from our evening of birthdays celebration …
