Was going to buy coffee, saw an AI fake coffee cup artwork outside on an A-Frame which already made me feel uneasy, then heard the barista talk about AI and went onto talking about stealing artists work for AI generation so we left. Not a friendly place for anyone in the creative industry like myself. Avoid!

We visited here for my daughter's birthday, we had a table reserved that turned out to be right by the door, so we sat in our coats the whole time as it was freezing. The food was delicious, the service was ok - but we had to ask twice for a couple of things.

I visited the Britons Arms with my husband and mother-in-law for afternoon tea. Pros: - staff were very friendly - booked table beforehand which was ready when we arrived - lovely food (particularly the sausage rolls) and good value for money for an afternoon tea - great location just at the top of Elm Hill, and in a very interesting building Cons: - the pew my husband and MIL sat on was so narrow as to be almost impossible to get comfortable (they both felt like they were sliding off the seat most of the time) - there did not appear to be any heating on so we got colder and colder, which made for and uncomfortable visit - the toilets are outside and really quite unpleasant - not clean and generally very unsavoury - looks dated; could be such a wonderful little place with a few tweaks Overall, I would not rush back even though I felt the food was good.

Very weird experience. Booked a birthday meal, only to be turned away at the door because we “didn’t meet the dress code”. This states - “smart casual and no sports wear”. We would’ve understood if we were in full tracksuits or gymwear but we were dressed smart-casual with presence of small sports brand logos so be aware - if you are going to have a dress code this needs to be made completely transparent to include absolutely NO sports branding whatsoever as lots of men’s fashion is now centred around sports/leisurewear and is designed to look smart! Not sure what sort of clientele they’re aiming to attract with this dress code as the restaurant was near enough empty? We’ve had exceptionally good experiences in the past and never been questioned on attire but this was wholly disappointing and honestly we wouldn’t bother to return or continue to recommend to friends or family as it felt so unwelcoming. Such a shame for what was once such a great organic business, which has got a bit too big for its (non sport branded) boots.

Xmas meal out for large party although staff were on hand to try make everyone’s night a success don’t expect much in the way of food which was dished out one piece at a time same with the desert one tiny piece of cheese cake no creme no ice cream left disappointed and hungry and I was not alone everyone felt it was very poor offerings for £49.50 a head 😩 won’t be going again.

Staff were friendly but had to do everything through an app. You have to get your own cutlery and fill your own drinks. Feels like a shift in a chicken shop with worse food. The only good things were the peri chips and the dips. Seats look like they were rescued from a fire, and the toilet light went off while I was still in there. I'd always choose KFC over Nandos

* Sadly this lovely restaurant has now closed. We had a wonderful meal, the food was absolutely delicious, really tasty, imaginative and well presented. The cocktails were great, and the staff were lovely. Nice place and atmosphere too. I think that we maybe have a new favourite restaurant in Norwich! Recommended.

This pub is a must if you are up in Norfolk. Me, my wife and our little Border Terrier dog called there the other day for lunch after a lovely walk around Blickling Hall. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and shown to a table. The service was excellent considering how busy they were mid week on a lunchtime. All the staff came over very professional, attentive and nothing too much trouble, which is a credit to the establishment. The meal was excellent, and portions generous. Price wise I thought very reasonable.

We visited here for my little boys birthday as we were staying in the hotel. This was a treat for my boys birthday as he wanted to stay in a hotel for his birthday. The staff were really friendly, spoke to us and found out it was for his birthday and he was excited. The manager Beth went out of her way to give him a card and present for his birthday. This was an incredibly kind touch we all appreciated!
