We visited here for my little boys birthday as we were staying in the hotel. This was a treat for my boys birthday as he wanted to stay in a hotel for his birthday. The staff were really friendly, spoke to us and found out it was for his birthday and he was excited. The manager Beth went out of her way to give him a card and present for his birthday. This was an incredibly kind touch we all appreciated!

We had dinner here last week and were highly satisfied with meal and service from Samantha, so decided to return tonight for haddock, chips and mushy peas. Samantha served us again giving us a warm welcome and provided excellent service, the meal was delicious washed down with Chardonnay. After we finished our meal we ordered tea for two in ten minutes which was served on time.

June 2024 A very good menu with some real interesting choices -good prices and friendly knowledgeable staff. Nothing was too much trouble. After dinner, we went outside for drinks by the river. Opposite the train station so handy if you’re not driving. A great evening.

Had some points to use up before they expired. Popped in for lunch. It was almost empty.I ordered the Sloppy Joe burger, partner ordered Mac n Cheese burger.Food arrived after about 20 mins. Unfortunately my partner was presented with mac n cheese rather than the burger he had ordered. Didn't say anything to waiting staff as 1) meal was free with points2) didn't want to wait a further 20 mins for correct orderFood was surprisingly not as hot as we'd expected, given how quiet it was, as if it had been sitting a few minutes - especially the chips.Suggest it becomes normal practice to read/say back an order to avoid this happening again.

Had 3 nights at the Table to Table, staff really helpful, always had a smile, even if it was with just their eyes due to masks.Food was plentiful and of good standard.Staff did really well in some trying situations. Still feels strange not being able to get up for breakfast buffet though. Going back soon.

Building contractors working on the refurb of parts of the hotel came into the restaurant during breakfast (six of them wearing shorts and bare chested) only one of the six had a mask...When a staff member said he would find a table for them, he mentioned that they would need masks and that he didn't have any spare, two of them swore profusely stormed out and spatbon the floor. Classy.

Our waitress was really helpful and nothing was to much trouble. Shame about the way I saw other people treating the staff when they were told to wear masks and follow Covid.Keep up the good work will be back .

I dined here over the weekend, the place was very busy yet the service I got from Ben was impecable and the food was delicious. Its just a shame the abuse I heard ben and the other staff recieve all because they were following the covid rules unlike other places i have visited. I will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone please keep up the good work.

They advertise on their website that if you want to book a table for more than 6 people outside to call them (this is currently in line with the Gov. guidelines). I ring and speak to someone who basically says no we can't book you a table for 9 family members as the tables only seat 6 people. Okay can I please book 2 tables - 1 for 5 people and 1 for 4 people. No we can't do that, I'll get the manager. The manager comes on to the phone and instead of asking how she could help, she just says no we can't do that. I tried to ask why it wasn't possible and she said because we can't have 2 tables in our restaurant at the same time that are from the same bubble. I politely pointed out that I could ring up and book a table for 5 people and then ring up again and book a table for 4 people and they wouldn't be any the wiser. I was told that I could do this, but she couldn't make a booking for 2 tables herself. This seems absolutely ridiculous and based on no logic! I would have thought restaurants should be making customers feel welcome and wanting to promote their business. Clearly this company are doing so well (despite the lock downs) that customer service means nothing to them anymore!

We just had a main meal (plus extras) and a few drinks but we thoroughly enjoyed our food and drinks. We were served by Emma C who recommend a new Sauvignon Blanc which was really nice, and the food came to us really hot and served exactly as we had requested. This is our second visit, we will definitely return.

Really wouldn’t recommend eating at this place. I ordered a vegan burger and they brought out a beef burger. I fount a toe nail in my chips and the place is surrounded by homeless ppl. If you like to be watched through the window while eating this is the perfect place to go. The staff were incredibly rude but the head chef was a sort. Looks like he needs a good bath tho x - love Chad

Normally happy with Table Table but this was disappointing. Very little on the menu was actually available. Even after ordering, we were then told they had run out! Oct half term week, full hotel and all tables pre-booked.....but lots unavailable. To be fair, the food we got was fine. It wasn't the warmest of evenings and they needed to put the heat on. Waitress did her best and did apologise but we won't return next time in Norwich.

I’ve eaten at many establishments attached to the premier inn hotel chain and this is the first time I have felt the need to leave a review. Whilst dining alone (business trip) I could not help but observe a waiter/barman who I believe was named “Craig” go about his job in such a professional manner. The way he spoke to all his guests blew me away, he was so polite and well mannered and just his overall personality made me think we need more “Craig’s” in the world. In a restaurant that lacked any atmosphere at all it was if you were eating in a library (COVID-19 to blame) “Craig” stood out. I don’t live in the area but if I did I would come back just to be served by him. Bravo “Craig” keep up the good work

Me dijeron que se quedarían sin repollo. También me ofrecieron un segundo pudín de Yorkshire y más salsa que rechacé. En el primer bocado de verduras pude saborear el ajo, que era un poco desagradable, pero fue solo el primer bocado después de eso, el resto de la comida estuvo delicioso. La carne se derritió en la boca.La camarera dejó una brecha decente entre servir la comida y preguntarme si todo estaba bien, lo cual agradecí. Esta noche tendré una buena comida de pub con mis padres por primera vez desde febrero. Sugerí el Nelson porque ambos padres son vulnerables a este maldito virus y el Nelson tiene un estándar muy alto de cumplimiento del covid.Las mesas estaban bien espaciadas y no estaban pegajosas (¿suenan las campanas, clientes habituales de Wetherspoons?)Liam, nuestro camarero, estaba de buen humor, me encantaron las bromas y el servicio. : -) La comida estuvo excelente como siempre (gracias por traerme el queso maccy, tacaño y súper cursi)Y el vaso de cerveza estaba lleno hasta el borde, sin medias tintas aquí.Gracias chicos, volveré pronto!

Nos hemos alojado aquí varias veces y siempre hemos tenido una gran experiencia. Los tiempos han cambiado desde covid, pero hoy, para nuestro desayuno en el restaurante Nelson Table Table, nos sentimos absolutamente bien atendidos, nuestra camarera Emma se aseguró de que nuestra área estuviera limpia, bien protegida y bien atendidos. Emma fue educada y cortés, es extremadamente difícil para estos chicos corriendo alrededor del servicio de mesa, la gente les grita mientras intentan mantener varias mesas llenas, pero Emma fue genial, estaba tranquila, educada y muy atenta, la comida estaba caliente, cocinada muy bien y abundante, bien hecho Emma y tus colegas disfrutamos de nuestro desayuno y tu servicio fue impecable. Quedándonos en el hotel de al lado vino tanto para el desayuno como para la cena, ya que no quería salir bajo la lluvia, el personal, donde realmente servicial, Tim, el gerente, nos hizo sentir realmente bienvenidos, al igual que nuestro servidor Sam, incluso contándonos sobre una tarjeta de recompensa. Danos ofertas en el restaurante. la comida estaba caliente y bien presentada. Only table service available because of pandemic rules no breakfast buffet, you order via waiting staff (one of the best breakfast sausages I have tasted). Would recommend that you book table for breakfast or dinner as it can be busy at times (which shows it must be good and popular)

No great expectation but surprised by the quality of the food. The service was very very good. Sam (Samantha) was brilliant very careful bearing in mind COVID-19 and we noticed how exceptionally careful and thorough she was cleaning the tables and chairs between guests. Top marks Sam you made us feel safe and your service would have made a five star restaurant proud. Well done.

Was staying in the hotel next door felt safe in the restaurant Sam served us both breakfast and our evening meal and at all times could not fault the way the restaurant was handling things in these hard times. the only down side was that had to be out by 10 but understand that the restaurant has no control about this .the location by the river is a plus .

My wife and I had our annual trip away with our best friends. We decide to stay close to our hotel so we drank and dined for 2 days in The Nelson next door. We haven't been in a place like it since lockdown. Great atmosphere was busy every night but we still felt they managed all the Covid measures very well. Not once we felt uneasy. Well done guys we will be back again. We had a laugh with staff especially the manager with the beard and barman Carl (I think). Would recommend to anyone if visiting Norwich although the menu was basic but was told it was changing soon but we didn't care once the drinks were flowing.

Not COVID friendly. Stayed in the travel lodge next door which was lovely, friendly staff and a lovely room. Went down for breakfast and wore our masks. Masks have to be worn in restaurants before being shown your table. The gentleman behind the counter said, ‘you don’t need them on in here, i can’t hear you’. Asked us multiple times to remove them before we were shown to our table. Made me and my partner feel uncomfortable as there was a lot of people around that area. Once seated we weren’t even a metre away from another gentleman seated. The waitress Katie/Kayley?, wasn’t approachable. Really blunt and rude. It was a busy breakfast service but saying a ‘hello’ or ‘good morning’ would be nice. That’s basic customer service. Once the lady came over to our table to take our breakfast order she said ‘what do you want?. I mean what service is that?! If I spoke to a customer like at, at my work place, I would of been sacked. Not a hello before taking our order, no thank you. Just terrible customer service. The breakfast was £8.99 and I have to say, wasn’t worth the money. The eggs were like mush, half my plate was water and everything that touched that eggy water, turned to mush. I can firmly say, I’m not going to that restaurant again. The worst breakfast I’ve had and it really lets down the travel lodge next door.

Limited menu,stayed many times in the premier and had meals here. This was by far the best meal we've had. The lasagne was tasty and moist. The ribs were delicious. Apple pie for desert yummy. The guy that served us was very friendly and chatty nothing was too much trouble for him. Am sorry I didnt take his name. I dont know whether a different chef or whether a reduced menu but the standard was higher.

Opposite the railway station and near bus stops that go to the main city shopping center. Beside the river down some steps or through the Premier Inn if coming from that direction or parking a car there (read the parking notices carefully). We as a party of three had two roast pork dinners and one luxury cottage pie, the roasts were superb and the cottage pie had pulled beef in it that was very tender not mince and that also was very good. Nice to sit beside the river, watch the wildlife or boats etc drift by and only a short walk to catch our train. Staff were very attentive and helpful, it was quiet when we arrived about midday but was getting busy when we left about one thirty.

On arrival of the nelson I was formally greeted by the staff at the desk. They warmly welcomed me inside and I felt very comfortable. They then set me up with my room and off I went. Once in my room I was very happy to see a large room with a decent amount of space with a queen sized bed, however on removal of the bed sheets I did find some woman’s underwear. This was no problem for me as I am quite the collector of such delicacies. After a quick shower ( with the underwear) I headed downstairs for my meal at the table table. As I entered I was once again welcomed with open arms by an employee of the establishment. She took me to my table and asked if I would like a beverage to which I replied a port would be lovely thank you. She hurried along and I had my drink in no time. Then came the food, I had the leak and potato soup for starter which I do say was delicious. Then after my soup I opted for a rare sirloin steak, I chose this meal as the waitress, Rosie I believe her name was, said that it would be lovely with my port and I’m happy to say it did. So for the table table I have nothing but praise. As I was eating my steak, for some strange reason I caught my subconscious looking at a woman’s behind, this woman in particular had a very nice behind but stranger than that she was wearing the same underwear that I had previously acquired in my chambers. This was most unusual as I realised I could not find the underwear that I found earlier in my pocket. I quickly came to the realisation that this woman must have stolen my pair. I went up to the woman at the bar and asked if I may have them back. I was shocked at what happened next as I received a bit of a slap. As things started to get out of hand, one of the bar staff intervened. Once they realised what all this was about they quickly pointed me to come round the corner and handed me nothing else but the pair of underwear, he said they were on the floor and that I must have dropped them. This was most embarrassing but because the staff at the nelson table table were so amazing and helpful it was quickly dealt with. I paid my bill and gave the staff a generous tip of 2 pounds I headed back up to my room. I spent the rest of the night studying the underwear and then fell asleep. In the early hours of the morning I left the nelson premier inn and I have to say I had a wonderful time.

Saying the term carvery in my opinion is where u have a chef cut the meat u require then you self plate the rest... Sadly the website didn't state they don't and serve you the plate whole... The place was quite empty unless after 1 somewhere gets busier..... So sad a business opportunity could be used to full potential..... So after our drinks we left....

On arrival at the Nelson everything was good. Drinks before we went out for our meal. However on return to the Nelson at 22.30 the bar was closed, much to our disappointment.

Popped in there on the off chance of getting a table as we knew it was Christmas party season and would be busy. Dan our waiter was very helpful in finding us a table but it was booked for later in the evening. So we could have it for a couple of hours. That was no problem to us. The food was very good and the service was to a very high standard.

c60 of us descend for the office Christmas lunch. It’d all been negotiated beforehand very efficiently with the manager and support staff.We were all met with a festive smile and having put money behind the bar - a wristband so only we could order from this tab (very clever and an improvement over last year stopping others ordering on it!).We were seated swiftly and it really wasn’t long before the food started to arrive. My table, one of six, all had different starters and everyone said they were cooked and presented well with ample portions, oh and tasted great too!Then the mains. Same thing here too. I’m a traditionalist so I can easily comment on my turkey dinner which was all of the above and plentiful.On came deer following a perfectly timed pause. After-Eight Sunday was my poison of choice and oh boy it didn’t disappoint.All of my food was served so efficiently by what appeared to be only three or four staff..Following our meal we were politely asked to shuffle to a reserved snug seating/standing area where we all spent the rest of the night.This has to be one of the most best value, great service, efficiently run, welcoming and accommodating venues in the city.Thanks for another great office Christy lunch which we will again remember.

We had four visits to the resturant for dinner & breakfast. The service was excellent to only good. The welcome and sitting at a table needs to be better. We stood for an excess of 10 minutes on one occasion before seating ourselves. Only once were we seated within a couple of minutes. Service generally was good to excellent once we were seated. Food was good with room for improvement.

Visited this restaurant a couple of times for evening meals while staying at the adjacent Premier Inn. The customer service that we received from Craig and Hannah on consecutive nights at our table was excellent. They had genuine smiles on their faces which reflected that they both enjoyed their jobs, which was brilliant. Made good recommendations regarding food and wine. As I use a small mobility scooter they gave us good accessible tables. Despite the restaurant was busy we felt under no pressure to vacate so we were able to enjoy relaxed meals.

It was a busy friday night, My family and I popped in for some dinner before going out for drinks. The restaurant was very busy and the friendly manager greeted us promptly and made us aware of two large groups that were dining and that their might be a wait.

Since the barely eaten food that was revealed with two hairs in my partner and I have been absolutely sick as dogs it has been awful I will never ever go back to Table Table again we used our tastecard but didn't think that the quality would decline with the price however that is the case absolutely disgraceful the food arrived cold as well my goodness I cannot even speak for the lack of staff and customer service training.

Although our waitress we had was rushed off her feet, she still made time to check everything was okay and to get me and my partner extra drinks. When I received my bill was given some 40% off vouchers which has ensured us to come back again. Lovely smiley face and a thankyou at the bottom of the receipt with name highlighted blonde girl I believe her name was emmy.

I had to send my lamb steak back twice! The lamb simply consisted of lumps of fat. The so-called mashed potatoes looked like yesterday's left-overs. It was INEDIBLE. REALLY DISAPPOINTED.

Saludada por Nicola, que fue acogedora y amable, nos mostró nuestra mesa y preguntó si eso estaría bien para nosotros. Ella nos dio nuestros menús y preguntó si queríamos pedir bebidas, ella tomó nuestro pedido y dijo que los traería. El restaurante tenía un ambiente cálido y acogedor, había varias personas sentadas cuando llegamos y todos parecían muy felices.

Un restaurante estilo cadena unido a un gran hotel no lo llena de confianza, pero de hecho, tuvimos una muy buena comida aquí en una noche muy ocupada para ellos. Tenía un bistec excelente realmente bien preparado, y decente entrante / plato principal. Buena bienvenida y servicio atento a pesar de los fanáticos del fútbol (Norwich acababa de perder). Entrada por un paso bajo de pasos (sin duda hay una forma de evitarlos)

Whilst staying at the Premier Inn, the Nelson, we usually have a meal deal and on the Saturday we invited friends to join us for dinner. The food was quite good but the table was dirty. On Sunday morning we had breakfast and the general feeling was of grubbiness. The table was soiled and my wife pointed out that the carpet felt as though it was sticking to her shoes. Sunday evening my meal was a simple pie and mashed potatoes. Everything was dry and tasted as thought it had been sat under a heater for some time and I was unable to finish it. Our puddings took an age to arrive which is not what we have come to expect so our overall experience this visit was of disappointment. I must say of several Premier Inns stayed at over the years this is a first negative review. The whole eating experience was spoiled by a venue that’s seems to need refurbishment.

We had a lovely warm welcome by the waiting staff, we ordered drinks then food, all 5 of us ordered mains and puds, the food was very good so was the service from all the staff. We used our taster card which cut our bill in half, would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We have been here for the last couple of days and charley has been by far the best waitress to serve us. Nothing was a hassle for her. Visited here last week with family. We have been before and really liked the atmosphere and friendly staff. Kay looked after us this time and was very friendly, helpful, attentive and really charming- explaining some of the ingredients in sauces etc. We had three courses and there was no real delay between each course. We all had a great evening and will definitely come again.

The breakfasts are great here with a buffet and kids under 16 eat free. I was surprised by the variety. We even had bagels! There is the usual fry up, fruit, breads, cereals and juices. Julie was really, really helpful and definitely went the extra mile.

Had another evening at The Nelson with a group of friends. Never disappointed here. Food was really good. If there has ever been a problem, the staff cannot do enough for you to make things right. Just been for a date with my husband expecting the carvery. They now now longer do carvery so I ordered the butternut squash in a tomato sauce, which came swimming in oil. Our very helpful and friendly waitress replaced it with a pork roast dinner but the roast potatoes were soggy, the stuffing was not cooked in the middle, the pork was fatty and the portion was small for the price.

I would highly recommend a meal here; I have been to LOTS of Premier Inns and their associated restaurants over the years, and the quality has always been good as it was here - what sets this apart was the service of Charlie who worked like a Trojan during a busy period to make sure that everyone she was looking after felt like they had her devoted attention. Lunch with disabled parents. Friendly welcome by Maggie who showed us several table options and offered to take parents to and from the disabled toilet. Also severed by Maggie at the bar - busy lady as the restaurant was pretty full. Food a little slow arriving but the mixed grill and gammon we properly cooked not fling and ping when happens elsewhere. Mixed was excellent with good cuts of steak and gammon and quality sausages. Also FOC swap to jacket potato. Deserts also nice and meals not overpriced with their 25% off deals. Toilets could do with a revamp / some TLC. Otherwise very good find for lunch.

These chicken wings are my absolute favorite in Norwich. Nothing else comes close! They’re just insanely good!! The pub itself is fantastic too with loads of seating areas, so you can always find a perfect spot to settle in and enjoy.
