Great venue and friendly staff.

Terrible service, waited over 30 minutes. Bar staff told me I should have picked a different side of the pub, told him there was too many guys and was happy where I was. He apparently didn't like that and when another 20 mins went by and we got served we were thinking of we were not to be served. Basically the staff ar slow and don't care and think they can't without service based on fod knows what. No one spoke to anyone and they e were polite. Management didn't know what they were enforcing and I won't be using glass house again.

my husband, step son and I went for lunch today, it was lovely, food was very hot, staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go again

Lovely beers although not much of an atmosphere. Well it was Sunday. But the beer was good and the staff were attentive so what's not to like?

Lovely pub, a bit tucked away but this doesn't matter. Great, superfast service, even during busy lunch periods. Will go again when I am back in Norwich.

Usual wide selection of Wetherspoon food. Old Oak beams and secluded seating upstairs. We ordered on the app, and the food and drinks came really quick.

Visited on a weekday afternoon. Quick service, plenty of seating, nice and clean, and the toilets were well maintained.

Popped in for lunchtime with friends before a walk by the river and a visit to the cathedral. Nice meal in a clean, interesting and open bar/restaurant. Friendly service and good value for money

Good place to get cheap food and cheap booze. Could do with a few more staff to keep on top of dirty tables but apart from that, it was the usual wetherspoons.

Cheap food and beer just what's needed when shopping

Nice atmosphere, cheap drink and cheap food, good but not great, fine for drinks and an average tasting meal with a group of friends but definitely not fine dining.

You cannot beat a spoons (love the fondness of this chain) for good beer at very reasonable prices. It can get very dull and loud but you gay what you would expect on a Saturday night. The app don’t work!!!!! Or your internet does not.

If you are looking to start the night off, great stop.

Awful ordered on app .40 min still no drinks spoke to some rude male staff member..got a refund and left...he said take your attitude elsewhere....won't go there again..usless staff and management 🙄

Typical Weatherspoons - very good value, quiet when we were there, decent full English before a shopping trip. Staff friendly and helped with a faulty coffee machine very quickly. The restaurant is huge and you can normally find a quiet corner to eat or drink.

Rude staff, especially the Manageress. Certainly avoiding this establishment again. Beer was poor, food was sub standard, and management need changing.

The breakfast I thought was expensive,two for just over eighteen pounds,the sausages they used are not good quality,I don’t think I would eat a breakfast there again,nice place but to much price for cheap food quality

A very nice JD Wetherspoon's on two levels. No problems to try an ale before you buy. Not as busy as The Bell hotel, especially outside area, but plenty of space for privacy. Another good JDW

Nice location, plenty of seating inside and out. Due to some kind of kitchen problems the food choice has been very limited the last two times I visited (about a year apart) so that'll need to be cleared up before too long.

Not enough staff! Pigeons eating off uncleared tables! Lady behind my table complaining about her food. Got our order wrong. Felt sorry for the staff they did have. Probably won't go back .much better food and lots more staff at the Glass House.

Staff so friendly and kind glass house is owned by wetherspoons and it fantastic place it is also a hotel that JD wetherspoons own so you can party to early hours and retire to your bed just upstairs

Spoons but up market pub with large garden

A busy Wetherspoons on the 4 occasions that we went with some good local beers to be had. They do have a large outside beer garden but they empty this at 22.00 which means a big influx near to that time. The interior is actually quite nice with murals on Norwich to one wall.

Another excellent spoons providing reasonable priced drinks alongside decent pub grub.. Plenty of areas to sit in Lovely outside in the sun Tables cleared quickly on the Saturday that we called in Staff very attentive polite and friendly. Suited us just fine for a couple of hours while on our day out in the City.. Would have no hesitation in returning if we get a chance to visit the area in the future.

A lovely walk through cobbled streets to get to the glasshouse, it was a hot day so sat outside, food was lovely, would definitely go again next time I'm in norwich.

Super place to have a drink and something to eat service and staff 1st class

This was our first visit to the glass house after a recommendation from a family member. We arrived at what I would call a busy'ish time of the day on a Saturday (4pm on a football day) and we were seated straight away. It was quite nice inside with both an upstairs and downstairs section for eating and drinking although some of the tables were very squashed together with no chair room between you and the people behind you. There were three of us including two adults and one 4 year old, both adults had the American cheeseburgers with fries and a drink and our daughter had a burger on its own with a bowl of salad. The food arrived hot within 5 minutes which was very very good. I must admit I was a little surprised about the price - £22 for three small meals which seems like a lot to me as we don't often eat out as a family but I guess it is probably about right in this economical climate. I was a little disappointed as to why they didn't have a grill menu, I was looking forward to a nice steak and chips - not sure why they don't do this anymore. After our main meals we each had desert which was two mini warm fudge brownies with ice cream and a brownie sandwich which I must admit as nice as they were, it was daylight robbery at £3 something for a tiny slice of brownie with a tiny scoop of ice cream! I probably wouldn't bother with those again! You would be better off buying them from the shop afterwards! All in all though we had a very pleasant experience and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was served very quickly and you get pretty decent quality food for a reasonable price - just don't expect a huge amount of food for the money!

Appalling. After we made a complaint about the wine, manager rude and argumentative. Total intent was to embarass us to back down. We asked for a refund so we could leave. Immediately surrounded by door staff who told us to put food into boxes and leave. Manager refused to give her name and refused to pass on our concerns...do it yourself on line. Called an idiot by the door supervisor. An absolute disgrace . I have never seen anything like this before. Your staff were a disgrace. Other customers commented on the appalling scene. You seriously need to look at how customers are treated. We are both retired professionals.

Fricking long wait for table order!

The Glass House is like a roulette wheel because you never, ever know what you're going to get. It's consistently inconsistent but the staff are excellent and it's garagatuan layout somehow seems awkward to navigate. The garden seems to get the sun for about 30 minutes a day somehow and always seems to be cold. The bar is huge, but the queue always seems to be three deep. Food arrives quickly but it's seldom what you ordered and sometimes this is good and sometimes this is bad. Yesterday I got a lemon and herb chicken instead of a chargrilled chicken with gravy and mash and peas. The mixture of flavours was particularly unique and one I'm only ever bound to encounter again at the glasshouse. Still, the pints are cheap and the app works well and just about everyone in the world is here for ages, because no one can afford to session drink in any other pubs any more. Notice how the food prices are creeping up though? If its going to serve 'cheap and cheerful, no-frills slush' then I'd like that to be reflected in the price. £14 for a lemon and herb and gravy and mash combo just isn't going to cut it.

I have never in all my years been cut off from ordering food and drink. Was out celebrating my birthday with a group of my friends who I work with within the NHS. Some friends who couldn't make it were ording food and drinks to our table. We were not loud or causing any trouble, only for some one to come to our table with 2 security to say we have been cut off can't order any more food and drink. And what we have ordered will be refunded. What an absolute joke. They were rude and the security were giving evil looks. Absolutely disgusted with the service received and will never return to that establishment.

Convienient location after a Sunday afternoon walk of Pull Ferry, Cathedral and Elm Rise..... Ordered via App, and the staff are super responsive, attentive to orders. Typically good value for money spoons. Venue: Physically looks like typical pub. Less students / tourists (like riversides 'the queen of iceni', or in town 'the bell hotel'), with more locals.

I love popping into Wetherspoons for a quick bite. The Glass House is a lovely building with plenty of space. There seems to be more rooms around every corner. It's certainly not fine dining but it's excellent value for what you get and the staff are usually very efficient and friendly. Ordering table service on the app is very convenient.

Fabulous place, inside and out 😊 As wetherspoons go, I'd say 8/10, mainly holiday trippers and visitors to Norwich I'd say, not a rowdy franchise at all like some.

Not too good. Beer tasted like lemon pledge, assuming they haven't rinsed the glasses after washing. After complaining they just took them away and we never saw them again.....

Bar staff are really friendly and the door staff are the best in Norwich. Always ready to help people to the extent of going in the river to save someone's life.

Great place to meet up with friends. Reasonably priced food. Plenty of choice on menu.

Drinks took over 30 mins and to the point we had to go up to the bar and ask to collect them after being spoke to rudely by a member of staff. Also the drinks were just left of the side which is incredibly unsafe as drinks are just left on the side before someone delivers them.

Amazing staff, amazing managers, and great people.

Very spacious pub and beer garden. Greene King IPA at £1.45 a pint not to be sniffed at.

Please count properly. You're suppose to get 5 chicken bites in the boneless basket, not 4. Also please fix the temperature of the taps in the women's toilets, it practically scalds your skin off. Besides that, its a decent spoons.

One of the better weatherspoons I've been to, it is ofcourse a chain pub but great place for cheaper drinks on a night out.

Food was overcooked knife and fork was dirty, had to go get a clean set, nice beer and a good beer garden, ok but I would not return.

Thursday afternoon, April, very quiet. Fast service. [This norwich spoons is far superior to The Bells 🔔, which is disgusting. Grotty, grotty, grotty. Yugh. ] However, the glasshouse spoons is civilised and clean.

Went last night after watching a drag show. Pretty empty but it was 10pm on a Tuesday night. Drinks came quickly and carded everyone on the table when one 1 drink was ordered , everyone was over 18 . Food came quicky and tasted nice . Clean toilets and it looked clean everywhere else. Friendly staff

When our meal came wasn't red hot. If it had been any colder I would have complained but it was edible.

Fast efficient service friendly staff, nice outside garden area with tables and seats, has up stairs area and a balcony, when I visited it was very busy and lots of food being served good pub, but prices have gone up never thought that would happen at a witherspoons.as always a great atmosphere in the pub and a good service from the young lady that served me, with a smile and a great attitude

I like visiting Weatherspoons . The food is good value for money and served promptly. The cask beers are always very good quality, with plenty of choice, and very well priced. I've always found the staff to be well trained, helpful and welcoming. The atmosphere is always good, and there's normally someone to have a chat with, while you're waiting at the bar to be served. Overall........... you really can't fault it.

It was ok, just a typical spoons. Although it's not as nice as iceni.

Its a wetherspoons. Tricky to rate as its mainly about providing meals and drinks at good value which it does very well.

I went here with my boyfriend and some of his friends, and I have to say it was a lovely experience. I am used to going to the other wetherspoons in norwich, but I really enjoyed my time at the glass house. Its noticeably quieter and more relaxed than the others. And the food was great as always!

Visited early lunch time on a Saturday, we were lucky, so many people came in afterwards and left because they couldn't find an empty table. Food was lovely, hot, and well presented. Pretty balcony with hanging baskets and a open space outside. Only assistance dogs allowed which is a shame.
