Lovely warm atmosphere. Helpful, friendly staff.

Me and my wife hired the venue for our wedding party. The entire day was flawless. The food was sensational. We had a BBQ and opted for burgers and hot dogs. Many of our guests are from the hospitality industry and the feedback has been amazing. Rose and the team were on top of everything and our expectations were truly exceeded.

We hired The Earlham for our wedding reception last weekend. Everything was excellent from booking the pub, to the event itself. Owner Rose was organised and communication was great throughout. I dropped all of our decorations to Rose a few days before the event and she arranged everything for us, so there was no stress on the day. Rose also kindly liaised with our Photographer, DJ and the lady baking and delivering our cake, to ensure that everything was seamless. Everything looked perfect. The outside space meant that we could invite 115 guests and there was plenty of space inside and out (the venue can hold more than this however). I would definitely recommend The Earlham, Rose and her team.

Amazing venue, the bbq was superb. Rose and her team did a fantastic job hosting our company event. The food was fantastic. Looking forward to our next event at the Earlham

Hired for wake, lovely size for 40 people. Many complements on the food.

The specials were well cooked and tasted good. Foods fro the menu, was dried and overcooked. You could have used m chicken burger to sole a pair of shoes. My friend didn't eat hers. Moral. Order specials!

What a superb experience! Friendly staff welcomed us and although we arrived early for our booking, we were seated immediately. We all had a roast and all were great - plenty of well-cooked and nicely presented food. Highly recommended!!

Was a little disappointed, pop up restaurant available only. Came highly recommended but failed to deliver.

We had a fantastic time celebrating our daughter’s christening at The Earlham. The food was delicious and the staff were super attentive and made sure everything went smoothly. Would recommend The Earlham to anyone looking to host a function. It’s a great pub, the function space is a really good size, and feels private enough without seeming shut off from rest of the pub.

Had the BBQ brisket burger which nice however, it was expensive and felt even more expensive considering it didn't actually come with a burger in it! Really it's just a sandwich?

I have loved the Earlham so much more now Rose Hanigan has it. Food is lovely. Sick of not being able to get the draught beer we want.I'd like to see the toilet has toilet paper in the toilet,not stacked next to the sink, what's the point of that? Not great to find that out when it's too late!

Nice place, beers were good, but veggie burger was really not good for £10. Wouldn’t ever eat there again, maybe just better for drinks.

Loved it. Great food, not your everyday pub grub. The soft shelled crab flatbread was delicious.

We visited the Earlam about 2,30 PM and was pleased they served food all day. We took advantage of this and had a pleasant meal sat on one of the many tables available.

Nice food for a pub, lovely big garden for warm summery evenings and deliciously cold wine.

Friendly staff. Welcoming environment. Drinks reasonably priced and you can buy sweeties from a jar. ❤️ We were there for a Baptism celebration and the food provided for the buffet was excellent.

Food was amazing, and not just bog standard pub food. Tempura Jalapenos, bang bang broccoli, strawberry salad! All delicious and not bad portions either. Atmosphere is great. Music at a good volume, loving all the lights and a huge, well maintained garden. Staff were really helpful. They could have used another couple staff members but they did amazingly to keep up and still give great service! Amazing place for food, a pint and to bring your dog :)

We went with a friend on a Saturday for lunch. We Sat outside and the waitress came very quickly. We ordered the Erlham humus with pomegranate and seeds, marinated salad with strawberries, bang bang broccoli and prawns, everything to share. It was all delicious and beautifully served, more than enough for two ladies. We’ll definitely come again!

Food is always amazing, even better that you can just walk in! Can't beat the classic margaritas here! Absolutely one of my favourite places!

We came in to The earlham for drinks first and the service was great , The earlham has a really unique feel to it, the decor was beautiful. We then came in a week later and had the pizza and lamb kebab. Both were so delicious. I had the chefs pizza of the week which was bolognese. We can't wait to come back and try more.

Great watering hole. I recommend getting the gold card for discounts and food offers. You should definitely try the lamb kebab 👌

Nice pub - went for a birthday party. They did a really good quality set of buffet food. Nice range of proper beers, although slanted towards fashionable IPAs as many are. Friendly staff & good quality service. Only not 5 stars as it's on the expensive side for Norwich - for the food you get what you pay for, but expensive for the drinks.

My first time eating here and I was pleased to find some gluten free options. As the sister pub to the Black Horse I knew I had eaten safely there so felt comfortable coming here. Staff were aware of Coeliac disease and happy to answer my questions. There are separate fryers so you can have chips. My gluten free bun for my burger was perfectly fine and the actual burger was nice.

Excellent service from great staff. Patient and attentive despite at times the over whelming numbers look for food and drink all at once. Great too see it so busy. The chilli beef small plate was the pick of the dishes.

Edited after 3 visits. Mine and my partners new favourite place to grab a bite to eat with a drink. Food is amazing, so far I've tried the Fried chicken Burger, pizza and a couple of pasta dishes. The pasta is incredible value for money, £9 a dish and it's some of the best pasta I've had in Norwich for a fraction of the price. Highly recommend the Tomato and Basil or the Neduja Carbonara. Great deals throughout the week, yesterday we had two pizzas and a bottle of wine for £20. Staff are very welcoming and noticed we had started coming in regularly the last week or so which was very nice. Great selection of drinks. Can't wait to come back.

Slightly more expensive pub, but you pay for the environment as the interior is lovely and the food is tasty.

It was nice to meet up with some good friends, but I wouldn't make a habit of going here, partly because the drinks were pretty expensive, but mainly because they have no cycle parking. Had to lock my bike to a pergola which was neither very secure, nor convenient.

Friendly pub that made the family feel very welcome. Very basic menu pasta dishes, Pizzas and burgers. What we had was good quality but a very basic menu. Only had one desert and that wasn't that good to be blunt.

Awesome food, great staff. The burgers, wings and crispy chilli beef were awesome! Nice decor inside and sports TV too. If I lived in Norwich this would be my regular haunt!

Really enjoyed our visit. So many options for me as someone who is gluten free & vegetarian. Lots of options for my partner too. All food was delicious. Staff really attentive and reasonably priced.

Went to this lovely pub for a small bite. Staff were lovely and we were made to feel very welcomed. Very attentive and friendly staff. The toilet was spotless too.

On Saturday we held a hen party at The Earlham and it was fantastic. We arrived in the morning to decorate the room and then returned at 3pm. Our arrival cocktails were ready and waiting for us and the nibbles we had pre ordered were absolutely amazing. We couldn’t fault a thing and I have heard so many positive things from everyone that attended. If you’re thinking of having a celebration, book it at The Earlham!

Very disappointing. Went last night for food and drinks.Some staff gave impression customers were an inconvenience to staff chats. Menu choice was disappointing and not what it has been on previous visits. Chilli beef was soft, chicken wings good, chicken thighs very mean two very small bits, falafel was like wet paste in bread crumb coating. Fries were fine. Great interior, good choice of drinks. That’s were it stopped for our experience.

After being turned away from The Eagle due to an expected 3 hour wait, we tried our luck at The Earlham and were met with a very warm welcome. We sat outside in the sunshine in the well maintained garden and chose from their sharing plate style menu. We decided on Pork and Fennel Meatballs, Tempura Soft Shell Crab, Pulled Pork Fries and Sriracha Macaroni Cheese. It was the best pulled pork that I have tried, usually I am not a fan, its either too sloppy or too dry but this was perfect and very meaty. None of the food let us down but I will likely be avoiding kimchi in the future (came with the tempura crab) as it was very hot for me. Very good service and tasty food, will definitely return to try out more of the menu.

First visit to The Earlham with Head Chef Olly Kirby who has created tasty, exciting, and utterly mouthwatering dishes. Superb!!!

I booked The Earlham for our rugby team Christmas social. The booking process itself was really easy seeing as it was a large party of 25. The manager was easy to communicate with and very accommodating for what we wanted. The venue itself is beautiful with a great atmosphere. We were in the room at the back. Table service for drinks was perfect, the staff were so friendly and the food was delicious!! The buffalo sauce was a tad on the spicy side, the whole team looked like they’d had lip fillers eating the Buffalo wings but it was all fantastic. Thanks so much for having us, we will definitely be recommending for friends and family. Georgia

So the atmosphere was condusive to conversation, no music blaring out. The menu adoptions were on one side of A4. Now for me I found it hard to read because the text was small and the room was dimly lit. Layout could also be improved. I need glasses to read, but even the menu beat me . I was unsure what type of burger I had ordered. The food arrived in good time and was tasty (mine could have been hotter). The fries were good with a bit of spice, even though we ordered plain The burger arrived in half a burger box with a wooden fork. Not sure I liked that. Would I go again? Probably but would take a magnifying glass!! I did have a nice evening. The food was good and the right amount. The ambience was lovely, we had a real candle on the table. Service was prompt. Our drinks bill was higher than the food bill.

Wonderful food, great cocktails and an amazing setting. Poor service, plenty of staff but they were mainly standing around chatting and had to be asked to provide menus, clear the table and for additional drinks orders.

The service was friendly and efficient. The food was of acceptable quality, nothing special, and the table was dirty. But I main gripe is that it is quite expensive considering you get the food served in a cardboard box with wooden cutlery. Surely it’s not too much to provide a plate and proper knives and forks- and ketchup not out of fiddly sachetsOne other thing - the burgers do not come with fries, so an extra £4.50 for a side of fries is a bit excessive. Reduce the portion size and include the fries in the price of the burger. That way the customer gets no surprises when presented with the bill

Popped in for lunch on Saturday and will definitely be returning. The service was excellent and the food was lovely I had the the veggie hot chick and it did not disappoint nice and spicy with the crackanese fries both delicious.

This was a lunch time visit and I have to say we will definitely be back very soon.The food was excellent, service was friendly and welcoming.Highly recommend the gorilla and gangham burgers, the Korean chips, well i woukd go back just for them !All in all excellent food, service and staff.

We visited this warm & friendly pub on the most miserable & wet Sunday’s - the staff were incredibly welcoming.We had Sunday lunch for two - the beef & the nut loaf. It was delicious. Fresh, home cooked & steaming hot.Delicious wine, yummy food, great staff - lovely environment.

Después de no visitar este encantador pub ya que tuvimos una mala experiencia, decidimos volver a visitarlo después de pasar unas horas allí tomando una copa en un feriado bancario el domingo.Todo lo que puedo decir es que cambió de manos y cambió de nombre al Sr. Pickwick y ahora es un lugar realmente atractivo.Habíamos oído hablar del excelente almuerzo de los domingos que sirven, así que pensémoslo. No nos decepcionó el servicio que recibimos antes de comer fue excelente. En cuanto a la comida, fue simplemente encantador, aunque pensé que los cuchillos deberían haber sido más afilados o que se usaron cuchillos de carne. También había una oferta de una botella de vino gratis si comías después de las 4 pm, lo cual fue una gran sorpresa.Una cosa que diré es que sirven una tabla de quesos bastante magnífica si te gusta.En general, un día fantástico, comida maravillosa, buen ambiente y sobre todo un servicio increíble, volveremos

Entré después del trabajo con mi amiga y su niño pequeño (4 años). . . que lugar encantador . . Una gran selección de bebidas, opté por una botella de la cerveza cherry, un menú encantador y un personal amable y eficiente. Tuvimos un plato maravilloso para compartir. . Con hummus para morirse. . Y algunos otros mordiscos para compartir. . Además de un fabuloso menú infantil. ¡No estaba muy ocupado, pero me imagino que es solo cuestión de tiempo antes de que se produzcan cohetes!

Muchas gracias por hospedar a nuestra familia y amigos para una velada para almorzar para 40 personas. Todos comentaron lo maravilloso que fue el almuerzo buffet, el mejor que hemos tenido. Nada era demasiado problema y nos sentimos muy bien recibidos y bien atendidos. Gracias por ayudarnos a hacer un día triste soportable.

Tuvimos una comida realmente encantadora aquí. El lugar estaba un poco vacío, lo que siempre encuentro desconcertante los sábados por la noche, pero no tenía por qué preocuparme. Grandes raciones y gran sabor. El cerdo ahumado era genial, al igual que la trucha de mar y el bistec bavette. Habían decorado para el cumpleaños de nuestros amigos sin ningún problema; Servicio eficiente, amable en todo. Estaremos de vuelta.

Esta noche tuve la oportunidad de comer algo rápido para comer. (Kore o Cory, no entendí la ortografía, una joven de cabello oscuro) fue extremadamente amable y acogedora. Pedí unos cuantos platos de tapas y la comida era increíble. Todo estaba muy bien servido (comida y bebida).El servicio se mantuvo en todas partes y el ambiente en el restaurante era excelente, aunque bastante tranquilo.Definitivamente se lo recomendaremos a mis amigos y volveremos muy pronto.Como profesional de la hospitalidad yo mismo.Tengo altas expectativas y todos fueron superados en esta visita.Gracias, hasta pronto.

Last minute decision to go out for lunch, didn’t book and luckily had a table. The atmosphere was pleasant & welcoming. Service was prompt & efficient. Drinks ordered along with the food. Impressed with fresh seasonal vegetables, cooked to exactly how I like them, with a slight crunch to them. The beef was rare and delicious, exactly how beef should be! Overall very pleased with our choice & definitely will return.

Partner had a couple of pints. She reckoned the beer was well kept. Me just a j2o......driving.To eat, just a light bite really. Garlicky melting Camembert with toasted sourdough bread....... Bloody yumSmall house salad..... perfectly acceptableParmesan fries.....could have been crispy, but flavour OKOh yes, there was a nice caramelised onion chutney with the camembert and toasted sourdough which was very nice. 4/5 cause the fries were quite soft and limp and let the side down.

Had a fabulous steak and chips with my happy, so tasty we decided to take the family for a Sunday roast which was one of the best roasts we’ve had in Norwich Definitely recommend and I can see us becoming regulars

Well stocked bar with good selection of drinks including some nice ales. Great choice of Belgian beers too. They need to do something about the dirty glass area though as this is the first thing you see when you walk in and it gives a very bad first impression. There looked to be some nice sausage rolls and cakes but you couldn't really see them due to a huge amount of dirty glasses.

Attended the earlham norwich for a few nice pints of San Miguel however the first ones we ordered tasted soapy I asked the bar tender to try it but all he said was I've just eaten and can only taste chicken burger and then sugested we have something different next time . Needless to say we left our half drank drinks and went to the black horse where the beer was of a far higher standard

Sunday lunch for 5, 1 Vegetarian nut roast, 1 turkey roast, 1 roast beef, lots of vegetables and a massive Yorkshire pudding. 2 fish and chips, delicious chips and the fish was also very good, excellent tartare sauce and mushy peas. We were all very satisfied with our choices. Relaxed atmosphere and very friendly staff. Will definitely be returning.

We called on the off chance with two friends who had just had a civil partnership. One of the ladies had a two hour pass from hospital as she is very ill.

The pub is wheelchair accessable the food is good the staff are friendly there is a good selection of Belgian beers

My husband and I regularly went here for a lovely brunch and our doggie was made to feel welcome -and even got a treat! I believe the restaurant has now changed ownership as on our most recent trip we were told the policy had changed and dogs were no longer allowed inside. A shame as it was one of our favourite places for a late brunch - but hope to visit one day for an evening meal without the dog to see how the new management compares.

Once again a change of name and a change in identity for this pub. It's a fine pub and in a great location I only wish it would stop changing all the time and changing it's name. The pub had a good stock of beers and a pretty good menu, but I left not quite understanding what was on offer, how was it different from 'The Arms'!

Frequent the Earlham regularly. They sell peroni which is a great start. Always a great atmosphere whether it’s quiet or busy. Staff are very friendly. Sunday roast is one of my favourite fir norwich and the surrounding areas. Highly recommend.

Kate and l found the woman who served our meals to be very rude. Especially after l had to send back my cold roast. When we went to pay, she just handed over the card machine and then just cleared-off and left me to it. What with the cold food from a very limited menu, it maybe a while before we return, a pity as it is so close.

We've visited a few times as a couple and with family. Food is delicious and locally sourced. Laid back atmosphere in the restaurant with prompt service. Beautiful decor. Definitely recommend

Had travelled for 6 hour so we booked as we were too tired to cook, what a disaster. Firstly the music was so loud we couldn’t have a discussion at table and waitress couldn’t hear us when when we tried to give our order she couldn’t hear us! It is now 36 mins and she had to come back to check what we ordered? Girl inside bar was Very helpful. Tapas not great, won’t be going back.

Booked in for a roast dinner on Sunday and so pleased that I did! The food was absolutely lovely and even forced myself to have a dessert as I didn’t want to miss out!

A friend and I are trying new places for roast dinners, so we decided to visit the earlham! I'd been here before and was impressed with the food, so was a tad optomistic about the roast!

After seeing there was a new menu and a Belgium beer month advertised I took a trip down on the first night to sample what was on offer! A friendly greeting, table service and free nibbles started the night on a positive! I had the beetroot risotto which certainly hit the spot!!

Attended the Belgian beer night at the Earlham Arms and have to say it was a great selection of the finest beers. Great to see bar snacks and ‘bapps’ being served with our beers which made the evening even more enjoyable. You have to try the ‘Westvleleren’!!

First visit here since new ownership. First impression place was empty and cold.

We decided to pop here for a light lunch on Saturday, we live nearby and haven’t eaten here since the rebranded Earlham Norwich opened. To be honest we had been a bit put off by the styling of the menus/signage etc displayed at the front of the building.

Great food and very friendly staff. Had a lovely birthday lunch; the Sunday roast was awesome, good portions and great flavours. A family member loved their Fish & Chips choice and the toffee pudding with custard dessert was lovely too. Will definitely return, great overall experience.

We ended up abandoning our meal and going elsewhere- there is no allergy information available anywhere, and the chef admitted he had no idea what was going on. Staff didn't realise that everything had to be checked- and I had to ask three different times about components of the same meal. Restaurant looked nice but was worryingly empty for a Sunday lunchtime. Menu incredibly limited and glasses were dirty, scratched and had marks all over them.

Perhaps it was the size of our party and they can cope better with smaller covers but a very happy celebration was really spoilt by slow service, shortage of vegetables, I had only one small roast potato and had nearly finished my dinner before the gravy arrived, I didn't dare ask for horseradish!

I wasn't going to write a review for this establishment but since a member of the management team has already falsely accused me of writing one i feel I have to write a few words.

¡Llegó a The Earlham para una celebración de cumpleaños número 60 que ciertamente se convirtió en una conmiseración! Sin duda no recomendaría The Earlham, ¡he tenido un mejor servicio en restaurantes de comida rápida! La comida estaba tibia, el personal era grosero y el servicio fue a un ritmo caracoles! Si no puede producir los bienes necesarios para una gran parte, ¿por qué aceptar la reserva en primer lugar? ¿El dinero habla en lugar de servicio al cliente es lo que estoy adivinando? ! Arruinó totalmente el cumpleaños de la persona ya que estaba estresada y enojada por la situación, ¡por lo que nadie puede culparla! Ella siempre recordará esto, ¡pero por todas las razones equivocadas!

Yo y mi pareja hemos comido en los brazos de earlham varias veces en el pasado l. Entramos para el almuerzo del domingo y solo podemos concluir que está bajo una nueva administración. El servicio parece haber disminuido al igual que la calidad de la comida y el tamaño de las porciones. Yo diría que ha pasado de ser un precio razonable a un precio excesivo por lo que ahora recibe

This place is great in the summer with the garden area and cosy in the winter. Great gin selection and lovely food. Been here a number of times and will certainly be back.

Very disappointing. Service was slow. By the time some people received their food, others had nearly finished!! I had belly pork and the portion size was pathetic ... supposed to have crackling.... it was soggy. I wouldn't go back!

Me, my sister & mum had a lovely experience at The Earlham last Friday night. We decided, after much contemplation that we would have Tapas, to share, so many yummy choices, would be crazy not to. Great selection, all freshly prepared and very very tasty. The staff were so welcoming, and friendly to deal with. Thank you to the team @ The Earlham.

I've been to this pub a few times for food, which is constantly impressive, and just for a few quiet pints. On this occasion however we were well into our stag night pub crawl. The hosts were very accommodating and patient considering the state of most of us. Can't recommend it and the hosts highly enough.
